This paper was carried out to analyze the variation of composition of seed oil with storage periods. Difference of content of crude fat in fresh-cut seed and one year storage seed is not detected but in pentadecanoic acid, acid value, iodine value and peroxide value in one year storage seed have lower than those of the fresh-cut seed. Linoleic acid and oleic acid were high among of total fatty acid in fresh-cut seed but moiety of linolenic acid and icosanoic acid was low otherwise that of palmitic acid and oleic acid is increased in one year storge. In neutral lipid, capric and mytistic acid were high in fresh-cut, oleic acid, palmitic acid and linoleic acid were increased after one year storge. In glycolipid, the lauric acid and linoleic acid were high in fresh-cut seed, the palmitic acid was increased, otherwise, linolenic acid was decreased after one year storge. In phospholipid, palmitic acid and unknown part were high in fresh-cut seed, palmitic acid, oleic acid and linolenic acid were increased after one year storge.

Ocjective : Sabaeksan has been used for the purpose of prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic asthma in korea. Methods : To investigate the biological effect of Sabaeksan, the author examined cytotoxicity and inflammatory cytokines secretion with human leukemic mast cell line, HMC-1. HMC-1 was stimulated with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and calcium ionophore A23187. Sabaeksan by itself had no effect on viability of HMC-1. Result : The effects of Sabaeksan on the secretion of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-6 from HMC-1 were evaluated with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Sabaeksan (1 mg/㎖) inhibited PMA plus A23187-stimulated TNF-α and IL-6 secretion, by 43.86 ± 5.26%, 56.39 ± 3.65%, respectively. Sabaeksan also inhibited the NF-κB (p50/p65) expression. Conclusion : Taken together, these results suggest that Sabaeksan inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in HMC-1 cells through blockade of NF-κB activation.

Folium Perillae has been used in Korea for many centuries as a treatment for various disease. The purpose of the present study is to determine the effect of Folium Perillae on norepinephrine(NE) induced pulmonary artery contraction in rabbit. Rabbit(2 kg, male) were killed by CO2 exposure and a segment (8-10mm) of each rabbit was cut into equal segments and mounted in a tissue bath. Contractile force was measured with force displacement transducers under 2-3 g loading tension. The dose of norepinephrine(NE) which evoked 50% of maximal response (ED50) was obtained from cumulative dose response curves for NE(10-6∼10-3M). Contractions evoked by NE (ED50) were inhibited significantly by Folium Perillae in pulmonary artery. The mean percent inhibition of NE induced contraction was 16.7% (p〈0.05) after 10.0㎎/㎖ Folium Perillae. Propranolol slightly but significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of Folium Perillae. Following treatment with propranolol, the mean percent inhibition caused by 10.0㎎/㎖ Folium Perillae fell to 16.2% in guinea pig induced by NE contraction. ODQ, methylene blue and L-NNA did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Folium Perillae. These results indicate that Folium Perillae can relax NE induced contraction of pulmonary artery, and that this inhibition involves sympathetic effects.

Direct ECC bypass phenomena that occur in a reactor vessel downcomer with a Direct Vessel Injection (DVI) system during the reflood phase of a Large Break Loss-of-Coolant Accident (LBLOCA) are experimentally investigated using a transparent l/7.5 scaled down test facility of the Upper Plenum Test Facility (UPTF). A series of separate effect tests are peformed in order to investigate the mechanisms of direct ECC bypass and to find out its scaling parameters. Various flow regimes and phasic distribution in downcomer are identified and mapped, and the fraction of direct ECC bypass is measured under a wide range of air and water injection conditions. From the counterpart test of the UPTF Test 21-D, the dimensionless gas velocity ( $j^{*}$$_{g,eff}$) is derived experimentally, which is believed to be a major scaling parameter for the fraction of direct ECC bypass. And it is found out that the direct ECC bypass is greatly affected by the spreading width of ECC water film and the geometric configuration of the downcomer.r.

최근 풍력 발전 등 신재생 에너지의 활용에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어지면서 대용량 전력변환시스템의 고효율화 고밀도화를 넘어 신뢰성 문제에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 대용량 시스템의 경우 버스플레이트의 기생성분에 대한 영향을 고려하여 구동회로를 최적화한다. 또한 이러한 특성들을 활용하여 과전류, 단락 보호 등의 회로에도 많은 연구가 이루지고 있다. IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) 등 대용량급의 파워모듈에서의 단락 보호는 콜렉터-이미터의 포화되는 전압을 모니터링하여 Desat 검출 회로를 통해 단락을 검출하여 보호하는 방식을 많이 적용해왔다. 이 논문에서는 IGBT의 내부 기생 성분에 걸리는 전압을 모니터링하여 신호처리 후 전류레벨을 복원하여 과전류 보호 및 단락 전류에 대해서 시스템을 보호하는 게이트 드라이버에 대해 제안한다. 시뮤레이션으로 구현 후 게이트드라이버 시작품을 제작 하였다.
The long-term efficacy of azathioprine in steroid-dependent ulcerative colitis

<P><B><I>Objective.</I></B> The long-term efficacy of azathioprine (AZA) in steroid-dependent ulcerative colitis (UC) is still unclear. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of AZA in patients with steroid-dependent UC. <B><I>Material and methods.</I></B> We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 106 patients with steroid-dependent UC who were administered AZA. Three-year outcomes of AZA therapy were evaluated. The outcome of the treatment was defined as (1) success, indicating induction and maintenance of remission throughout the study period (complete success) or remission followed by infrequent and short relapses (partial success); or (2) failure, indicating the absence of remission, frequent or prolonged relapses, infliximab administration, or colectomy. <B><I>Results.</I></B> Of the 106 patients, 73 (68.9%) continued on AZA for >6 months (AZA therapy group) and 33 (31.1%) discontinued AZA within 6 months due to intolerance (AZA intolerance group, <I>n</I> = 20), colectomy (<I>n</I> = 6), or follow-up loss (<I>n</I> = 7). Three-year outcomes for 106 patients were success in 54.7% (complete success, 35.8%; partial success, 18.9%), failure in 32.1% (frequent or prolonged relapses, 12.3%; infliximab administration, 5.6%; colectomy, 14.2%), and follow-up loss or death in 13.2%. The success rate increased to 71.2% (complete success, 46.6%; partial success, 24.7%) when the analysis was confined to the 73 patients who continued AZA for > 6 months. The 3-year success rate was higher in the AZA therapy group (71.2%) than the AZA intolerance group (25.0%) (<I>p</I> < 0.001). <B><I>Conclusions.</I></B> AZA is an effective treatment for steroid-dependent UC. The efficacy of AZA is well sustained over 3 years.</P>
