대학생의 사회적지지, 가족탄력성, 자기결정성 및 진로결정 몰입과 진로준비행동 간의 구조적 관계 = The Structural Relationships Among Social Support, Family Resilience, Self-determination, Commitment to Career Choice and Career Preparation Behavior of Undergraduate Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 사회적 지지, 가족탄력성, 자기결정성 및 진로결정 몰입과 진로준비행동 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하여 대학생들의 보다 실제적이고 구체적인 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위한 효과적인 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다.

연구문제 1. 대학생의 사회적 지지, 가족탄력성, 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입 및 진로준비행동 간의 구조관계 모형은 적합한가?
연구문제 2. 대학생의 사회적 지지, 가족탄력성, 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입 및 진로준비행동 간의 구조적 관계는 어떠한가?

이와 같은 연구문제를 해결하기 위하여 서울 및 대구․경북, 충남․충북에 소재한 4년제 대학에 재학중인 대학생들을 대상으로 총 255부(인문사회계열 157부, 자연공학계열 98부)의 자료가 분석에 사용되었으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS 15.0과 Amos 7.0 프로그램을 이용한 구조방정식모형으로 구조적 관계를 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 대학생의 사회적 지지, 가족탄력성, 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입 및 진로준비행동 간의 구조적 관계 모형은 최종 구조모형 경로를 거쳐 각 변인 간의 효과분석을 통해 구체적으로 살펴본 결과, 구조관계 모형은 적합한 것으로 나타났다.
따라서 우리나라 대학생 집단에서 사회적 지지가 진로준비행동에 이르는 과정에서 개인 외적 변인인 사회적 지지와 가족탄력성을, 개인 내적 변인인 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입이 진로준비행동에 직접 또는 간접적인 영향을 주는 중요한 역할을 함으로써 사회적 지지와 진로준비행동 간의 구조관계 모형은 적합하다고 할 수 있다.
둘째, 대학생의 사회적 지지, 가족탄력성, 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입 및 진 로준비행동 간의 구조적 관계는 다음과 같다.
본 연구에서 확인된 직접경로인 사회적 지지가 진로준비행동에 이르는 과정에서 사회적 지지는 가족탄력성, 자기결정성 및 진로결정 몰입에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 진로결정 몰입에는 부적관계를 나타내었다. 자기결정성에는 가족탄력성을 통해서, 진로결정 몰입에는 가족탄력성과 자기결정성을 통해서 진로준비행동에는 가족탄력성, 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입을 통해서 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 가족탄력성은 자기결정성과 진로준비행동에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 자기결정성은 진로결정 몰입에 영향을 미치고 진로결정 몰입은 진로준비행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
이와 같은 결과를 종합해 보면 사회적 지지는 가족탄력성, 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입에 직접적인 영향을, 진로준비행동에는 가족탄력성과 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입을 매개로 하여 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 가족탄력성은 자기결정성과 진로준비행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 자기결정성과 진로결정 몰입을 통하여 진로준비행동에 간접적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 자기결정성은 진로결정 몰입에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으나 진로준비행동에는 진로결정 몰입을 통해서 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
이는 대학생들이 가족이나 친구와 같은 의미 있는 타인들로부터 사회적 지지를 풍부하게 받고 이에 대한 지각 수준이 높을수록, 가족에 대한 강인성과 응집성이 높고 어떠한 문제가 당면했을 때에도 대처를 잘 할 수 있는 높은 가족탄력성과 어떤 일에도 자기 스스로 찾아서 해결할 수 있는 자율적이고 주도적인 성격을 지닌 것으로 해석되며 진로결정에 대해 몰입경험이 많을수록 진로준비행동을 잘 할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 결과는 단일 변수로 영향력을 행사하기 보다는 서로 밀접하게 연관되어 진로준비행동에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
따라서 본 연구의 결과는 진로상담이나 교육을 통해서 높은 사회적 지지를 지각할 수 있도록 유도하고 가족탄력성과 자기결정성, 진로결정 몰입의 매개변인을 효율적으로 활용하여 진로준비행동을 비롯한 진로문제에 효과적으로 대처하는 방안을 제시했음을 시사하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study was to investigate the structural relationships among social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students and to lay the foundation of educational materials and programs necessary for implementing more practical and specific career preparation behavior of the students. For this purpose were set up social support and family resilience as individual internal variables and self-determination and commitment to career choice as individual external variables in order to verify the structural relationships among these variables, based on the results and theories of previous studies on career development of undergraduate students.
For the purpose of the study, following study questions were created.

Study question 1. Is the structural modeling appropriate among social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students?
Study question 2. What are the relationships like among social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students?

In order to solve these study questions were used the criteria of social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students and the survey materials of 255 copies were used for analysis among undergraduate students at a university. The collected data were used to confirm the structural relationships on the basis of structural equation modeling with SPSS and Amos 7.0 program.

The results of the study are as follows.

Firstly, the structural relationship modeling among social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students was proved to be appropriate as a result of a thorough effect analysis among each variable via ultimate path of structural modeling.
Secondly, the following are the structural relationships among social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students.
While social support, which was verified as the direct path in this study, leads up to career preparation behavior, it has a direct influence on family resilience, self-determination, and commitment to career choice. Family resilience has a direct effect on self-determination and commitment to career choice, with commitment to career choice having the same impact on career preparation behavior. Social support also has an indirect influence on self-determination through family resilience, on commitment to career choice through family resilience and self-determination and on career preparation behavior through family resilience, self-determination and commitment to career choice.
In summary, in the process of social support proceeding to career preparation behavior, it has a direct or an indirect influence on career preparation behavior of the undergraduate students in Korea through family resilience, self-determination and commitment to career choice.
As a result, the more social support the undergraduate students receive from meaningful people such as their family members or their friends and the higher their recognition of the social support is, the higher is the level of family resilience and self-determination allowing the students to cope with any problems they are faced with in an autonomous and self-directed way. The students are better prepared for career behavior with more commitment experience to career choice. These outcomes reveal that not just one variable does exercise effect on career preparation behavior but all the variables are closely intertwined with one another.
Thus, seen from the structural relationships among social support, family resilience, self-determination, commitment to career choice and career preparation behavior of undergraduate students, it is imperative that we should create and utilize various programs which will help improve their career preparation behavior more actively. It is thought that these programs will not only make employment rate of undergraduate students higher but also enhance the students' ability to deal with the situations in the choice of career.
