대학생의 아동기 외상경험이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향: 낙관성의 매개효과 = The Relationship between Undergraduates’ Childhood Trauma and Interpersonal Problems: The Mediating Effects of Optimism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify the role of optimism as mediating variable in the relationship between undergraduate's childhood trauma and interpersonal problems. For this study it was collected the data about childhood traumas, interpersonal problems and dispositional optimism from 250 college students at 4 different colleges located in W city, Gangwon. Having the data analyzed by structural equation analysis, the result showed that childhood trauma has significant positive correlations with interpersonal problems and significant negative correlations with optimism. Therefore it was identified that childhood trauma was significantly related to lower optimism and higher interpersonal problems. Structural equation analysis also revealed that optimism fully mediated the relationship between childhood trauma and interpersonal problems. This result suggests that it would be highly important to deal with the issue of optimism in counselling session for students with interpersonal problems and childhood trauma. Implications of these findings and recommendations in counseling were discussed based on the result of this study.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 아동기 외상경험이 낙관성을 매개로 하여 대인관계문제에 영향을 미치는지를 검증하기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 강원도 W시의 4개 대학 학생 250명을 대상으로 아동기 외상경험, 기질적 낙관성, 대인관계문제 수준을 측정하였고, 아동기 외상경험과 대인관계문제에서 낙관성의 매개효과를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 그 결과 아동기 외상경험은 대인관계문제와는 유의한 정적인 상관이, 낙관성과는 유의한 부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 아동기 외상경험이 많을수록 낙관성은 낮아지고 대인관계문제는 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 낙관성은 아동기 외상경험과 대인관계 문제간의 관계를 완전매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 아동기 외상경험과 대인관계문제를 가진 대학생들의 상담 장면에서 낙관성에 대해 다루는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 함의 및 상담에서의 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.
