        초등학교 동학년 교사교육과정 개발 및 실행에 관한 사례연구

        이 연구는 초등학교 동학년 교사교육과정을 분석하여 동학년 교사교육과정의 유형, 개발 및 실행 절차, 특징을 밝히는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 동학년 교사학습공동체 7개를 대상으로 질적 사례연구를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 동학년 교사교육과정은 협력의 ‘범위’와 ‘정도’를 기준으로 유형화할 수 있었다. 협력의 범위를 기준으로는 ‘전체 교육과정 협력형’과 ‘일부 교육과정 협력형’, 협력의 정도를 기준으로는 ‘공동 개발형’, ‘개별 개발, 공동 실행형’, ‘정보·자료 공유형’이 도출되었다. 둘째, 동학년 교사교육과정 개발 및 실행은 ‘계획단계: 퍼즐 만들기’, ‘실행단계: 퍼즐 맞추기’, ‘정리단계: 퍼즐 정리하기’세 단계를 거치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 동학년 교사교육과정은 확장성, 정교성, 체계성을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사들이 협력적 관계에 바탕을 두고 공동으로 발휘하는 자율권인 ‘집합적 자율권’과 집단 수준의 전문성인 ‘협업적 전문성’에 관심을 가질 필요가 있음을 제언하였다. The purpose of this study was to clarify the type, development procedure, and characteristics of the teacher curriculum in the same grade of elementary school by analyzing the teacher curriculum in the same grade of elementary school. To this end, a case study was conducted on seven teachers' learning communities in the same grade of elementary school. As a result of the study, first, the teacher curriculum in the same grade could be categorized based on the ‘scope’ and ‘degree’ of cooperation. Based on the scope of cooperation, ‘total curriculum cooperation type’ and ‘some curriculum cooperation type’ were derived, and ‘joint development type’, ‘Individual development, co-execution type’, and ‘information and data sharing type’ were derived based on the degree of cooperation. Second, it was found that the development and implementation of the teacher curriculum in the same grade went through three stages: ‘Planning Step: Making Puzzle’, ‘Executive Step: Doing the Puzzle’, and ‘Organizing Step: Organizing Puzzle. Third, it was found that the teacher curriculum of the same grade had scalability, sophistication, and systematicity. Based on the results of this study, it was suggested that teachers need to pay attention to ‘collegial autonomy’, which is autonomy that teachers exercise jointly based on a collaborative relationship, and ‘collaborative expertise’, which is professionalism at the group level.

        Psychiatric Sequelae of Former “Comfort Women,” Survivors of the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery during World War II

        “Comfort women” refers to young women and girls who were forced into sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese military during World War II. They were abducted from their homes in countries under Imperial Japanese rule, mostly from Korea, and the rest from China, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Netherlands, etc. “Comfort women” endured extreme trauma involving rape, sexual torture, physical abuse, starvation, threats of death, and witnessed many others being tortured and killed. This article reviews all the studies that have investigated the psychiatric or psychosocial sequelae of the survivors of the Japanese military sexual slavery. Most importantly, a recent study which conducted a psychiatric evaluation on the former “comfort women” currently alive in South Korea is introduced. The participants’ unmarried rate was relatively high and their total fertility rate was relatively low. Majority of the participants reported having no education and being the low economic status. They showed high current and lifetime prevalence of posttraumatic disorder, major depressive disorder, somatic symptom disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and alcohol use disorder. Participants showed high suicidality and majority of the participants still reported being ashamed of being former “comfort women” after all these years. This article highlights the fact that the trauma has affected the mental health and social functioning of former “comfort women” throughout their lives, and even to the present day.

        Transgenerational Transmission of Trauma: Psychiatric Evaluation of Offspring of Former “Comfort Women,” Survivors of the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery during World War II

        “Comfort women” are survivors of sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II, who endured extensive trauma including massive rape and physical torture. While previous studies have been focused on the trauma of the survivors themselves, the effects of the trauma on the offspring has never been evaluated before. In this article, we reviewed the first study on the offspring of former “comfort women” and aimed to detect the evidence of transgenerational transmission of trauma. In-depth psychiatric interviews and the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 Axis I Disorders were conducted with six offspring of former “comfort women.” Among the six participants, five suffered from at least one psychiatric disorder including major depressive disorder, panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, adjustment disorder, insomnia disorder, somatic symptom disorder, and alcohol use disorder. Participants showed similar shame and hyperarousal symptoms as their mothers regarding stimuli related to the “comfort woman” issue. Increased irritability, problems with aggression control, negative worldview, and low self-esteem were evident in the children of mothers with posttraumatic stress disorder. Finding evidence of transgenerational transmission of trauma in offspring of “comfort women” is important. Future studies should include more samples and adopt a more objective method.

        Computerized Version of the Kiddie Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School-Age Children (KSADS-COMP): Development and Validation of the Korean Clinician-Administered Version

        Objective The purpose of the present study was to develop and validate the Korean version of the clinician-administered KSADSCOMP, which is the recently updated, web-based computerized version of the Kiddie Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for school-age children (KSADS).Methods A total of 71 participants (mean age=12.04±3.86 years, female=29.57%) participated in the study. A child-adolescent psychiatrist established a diagnosis for the participant after a thorough psychiatric interview with the participant and the parent. Researchers who were blind to the diagnoses administered the clinician-administered KSADS-COMP to the parents and participants. The gold-standard diagnoses made by child-adolescent psychiatrists were compared to the current diagnoses generated by the clinician-administered KSADS-COMP. Percent agreement, Cohen’s Kappa, Gwet’s first-order agreement coefficient (AC1), sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were calculated.Results Gwet’s AC1, our preferred measure of agreement, showed excellent range between 0.78 and 1. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predicted value and negative predictive value also showed high scores.Conclusion The current study demonstrated excellent criterion validity of the Korean version of the clinician-administered KSADSCOMP, though the small sample size could be a limitation. The current study was the first study to examine the criterion validity of the KSADS-COMP. Due to its readily usable format and efficient and accurate diagnostic process, widely-use of KSADS-COMP is expected.

        교사의 교육과정 실행 양상 및 유형 탐색: 교육과정 자료 사용 및 동료와의 소통을 중심으로

        본 연구의 목적은 교육과정 자료 사용 및 동료와의 소통 양상 측면에서 교사의 교육과정 실행을 파악할 수 있는 검사 도구를 개발하여 교육과정 실행 양상과 유형을 탐색하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교과서 사용 측면에서는 초등학교 교사, 혁신학교 교사, 10년 미만의 경력을 가진 교사가 교과서에서 비교적 자유로운 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다른 교사의 수업 사용 측면에서는 초등학교 교사, 3학급 이하에서 근무하는 중, 고등학교 교사, 10년 미만의 경력을 가진 교사의 수업 모방도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성취기준 사용 측면에서는 10년에서 20년 미만의 경력을 가진 교사의 성취기준 활용도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 동료와의 소통 측면에서는 초등학교 교사, 혁신학교 교사, 19학급 이상의 규모에서 근무하는 초등학교 교사의 소통 정도가 높게 나타났다. 다섯째, 가장 일반적인교육과정 실행 유형은 ‘교과서 수정형’, ‘다른 교사의 수업 벤치마킹형’, ‘성취기준 출발형’, ‘상황에 따른 선택적 소통형’으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사의 성취기준 자율권 확대, 혁신학교 연구를 통한 교육과정 혁신의 모델 창출, 교육과정 실행 유형에 따른 맞춤형 연수 개발, 교육과정 자료의 발행체제 자율화에 관해 제언하였다. The purpose of this study is to explore the aspect and type of curriculum implementation by developing a test tool that can grasp the curriculum implementation of teachers in terms of use of curriculum materials and communication with colleagues. The main results of this study are as follows. First, in terms of textbook use, elementary school teachers, innovative school teachers, and teachers with less than 10 years of experience were found to be relatively free of textbooks. Second, in terms of curriculum materials use by other teachers, elementary school teachers, middle and high school teachers working in 3 classes or less, and teachers with less than 10 years of experience were found to have high degree of imitation. Third, in terms of the use of standards, teachers with less than 10 to 20 years of experience showed the highest utilization of standards. Fourth, in terms of communication with colleagues, elementary school teachers, innovative school teachers, and elementary school teachers working in the scale of 19 classes or higher showed high levels of communication. Fifth, the most common types of curriculum implementation were 'textbook revision type', 'other teacher's curriculum materials benchmarking type', 'standards starting type', and 'selective communication type according to situation'. Based on the above research results, it was suggested to expand the autonomy of the standards of teachers, create a model of curriculum innovation through research on innovative schools, develop customized training according to the type of curriculum implementation, and liberalize the publishing system of curriculum materials.

        도시재생 연구의 사례지 동향 그리고 향후 연구 방향 : 도시재생 뉴딜사업 현황과의 비교를 중심으로

        The numbers and investments for Urban Regeneration projects, including New Deal initiatives (URNDP), have increased after establishing the Special Act on Promotion of and Support for Urban Regeneration in 2013. Academic studies need to carefully explore these regeneration projects to support, evaluate, advance the future progress of urban regeneration. Given that, this study attempts to synthesize what sorts of places were studied in the previous literature, which possibly recognizes the municipalities or areas that require further in-depth scholarly observation. The characteristics of the study areas of 123 articles published urban regeneration studies and the association to URNDP and cities’ growing/shrinking trend of the population were explored. The outcomes are three-fold; 1) the total number of urban regeneration studies and the case study areas have been growing, but many of them leaned to Seoul Metropolitan and other large cities; 2) continually declining small towns were designated as URNDP and received huge investment, but the studies of these cities were scarce, and 3) “research blind spots” were found where studies and projects have never happened despite the depopulation. Accordingly, the results of this study may suggest that scholars endeavor to investigate more diverse areas, and the part of the URNDP fund should be devoted to promote academic investigations for depopulating small towns.

        초등 통합교과서 개발 경험에 대한 자문화기술지

        이 연구의 목적은 저자가 통합교과서 개발 과정에서 경험한 갈등과 딜레마를 자문화기술지를 통해 밝힘으로써 통합교과서가 추구하는 가치를 이해하고 나아가 교과서 개발과 관련한 개선점을 제안하는 데 있다. 연구 결과, 나는 다음의 다섯 가지 질문과 관련한 갈등과 딜레마를 경험하였다. 첫째, 어느 정도 비울 것인가: 창조를 위한 비움 VS 안내를 위한 채움, 둘째, 성취기준을 어떻게 사용할 것인가: 해석과 조정 VS 수용과 충실, 셋째, 내러티브를 얼마나 살릴 것인가: 맥락적 내러티브 VS 탈맥락적 내러티브, 넷째, 어느 정도의 통일성을 추구할 것인가: 다양한 포맷 VS 일관된 포맷, 다섯째, 외부의 의견을 어느 정도 수용할 것인가: 사적 창작품 VS 공적 합작품. 이 연구의 결과는 통합교과서 개발자의 내부적 관점에서 교과서 개발 관련 이슈를 조명함으로써 국가교육과정 개정 방향, 차기 통합교과서 개발 방향, 교과서 개발 체계 관련 개선방안을 모색하는데 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to understand the values pursued by the integrated subjects textbooks by revealing conflicts and dilemmas the author experienced in the process of developing the integrated subjects textbooks through an autoethnography approach, and to suggest improvements for the development of the textbooks. A summary of the results of this study is as follows. I have experienced conflicts and dilemmas related to five questions. First, to what extent should I go empty?: emptying for creation vs. filling for guidance; second, how should I apply achievement standards?: interpretation & adjustment vs. acceptance & faithfulness; third, how much should I include the narrative?: contextual narrative vs. de-contextual narrative; fourth, to what degree of consistency should I pursue?: various formats vs. a consistent format; fifth, to what extent should I accept external opinions?: private creations vs. public collaborations. The results of this study can provide insights to find the directions of revising the national curriculum and developing following integrated subjects textbooks and ways to improve the textbook development system by highlighting the issues on textbook development from the internal perspective of an integrated subjects textbook developer.
