The Modified Criterion for Global Avalanche Characteristics of Cryptographic Functions
Vol.8 No.1
In this paper we modify the criterion for Global Avalanche Characteristics of cryptographic functions. Using this modified criterion we com pare global avalanche characteristics of Boolean functions whose domains have different dimensions.
Some modules in category O and their decomposition over generalized kac-moody lie algebras
Kim, Wansoon Korean Mathematical Society 1997 대한수학회보 Vol.34 No.4
We extent the notion of equivalent relation $\approx$ for Kac-Moody algebras to generalized Kac-Moody algebras and prove some analogues of results for Kac-Moody algebras.
Complete Reducibility of some Modules for a Generalized Kac Moody Lie Algebra
Vol.5 No.1
Let G(A) denote a generalized Kac Moody Lie algebra associated to a symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix A. In this paper, we study on representations of G(A). Highest weight modules and the category O are described. In the main theorem we show that some G(A) modules from the category O are completely reducible. Also a criterion for irreducibility of highest weight modules is obtained. This was proved in [3] for the case of Kac Moody Lie algebras.
AUTO-CORRELATIONS AND BOUNDS ON THE NONLINEARITY OF VECTOR BOOLEAN FUNCTIONS
Vol.17 No.1
The nonlinearity of a Boolean function f on GF (2) n is the minimum hamming distance between f and all affine functions on GF (2) n and it measures the ability of a cryptographic system using the functions to resist against being expressed as a set of linear equations. Finding out the exact value of the nonlinearity of given Boolean functions is not an easy problem therefore one wants to estimate the nonlinearity using extra information on given functions, or wants to find a lower bound or an upper bound on the nonlinearity. In this paper we extend the notion of auto-correlations of Boolean functions to vector Boolean functions and obtain upper bounds and a lower bound on the nonlinearity of vector Boolean functions in the context of their auto-correlations. Also we can describe avalanche characteristics of vector Boolean functions by examining the extended notion of auto-correlations.

Vol.17 No.1
In this note we consider generalized Cartan matrices whose order is either 2 or 3 and find conditions under which we can classify whether given matrices are either finite, affine or indefinite

In this study, a joint survey system was developed to efficiently analyze geometrical characteristics of joint structures in rock mass using photogrammetric technique. The system includes both hardware and software. The hardware consists of a high resolution image camera for photographing image of a surface of rock body, a direction controlling system for adjusting the attitude of camera, and a digital compass for measuring the rotation angle of camera. The software was also developed in order to analyze the orientation, density, mean length of joints revealed on the images of rock surfaces. The software developed in this study was named as JointeXtractor. As applying this system into several field measurements, the orientation, density, mean length of joints could be quantitatively measured through analyzing the images of rock surfaces, in which the case of a difficult-to-access area was especially included for the test of the system.
Photophysiological Response of Korean Endemic Plant Hosta yingeri to Shading Conditions
Vol.2021 No.10
The purpose of this study was to confirm the shade tolerance of Hosta yingeri native to Korea for its introduction to indoor gardens. We investigated the growth and physiological responses of H. yingeri under three different low light conditions as indoors: 30 μmol·m-2·s-1 PPFD (L30), 20 μmol·m-2·s-1 PPFD (L20), and 10 μmol·m-2·s-1 PPFD (L10), compared to the control of 320 μmol·m-2·s-1 PPFD, which was 60% of outdoor light. We experimented with the environment-controlled growth chambers set by 23°C air temperature, 45% relative humidity and 16-h day-length conditions for eight weeks. The light use efficiency was the highest in the L10 treatment. The plants in the L10 treatment were the most sensitive to light; meanwhile, those of the control showed dynamic photoinhibition. The control and L10 treatments showed shade stress based on chlorophyll fluorescence (Fv/Fm), whereas the L20 and L30 treatments did not. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) revealed that the plants in the control and L30 treatment accumulated more starch grains in the chlorophyll than those in the L10 or L20 treatments. We observed leaves’ distinctive dark green color in H. yingeri in all treatments regardless of light treatment conditions. These results suggest that H. yingeri can photosynthesize and grow without shade stress in the low light condition in about 20 μmol·m-2·s-1 PPFD.
