This study proposed the algorithm on the estimation time of bus arrival time, using queue lengths, rules for running traffic signal and GPS position datum. The estimated values by means of proposal algorithms were done by the statistical application test. In this study, queue lengths and vehicle discharge properties based on the video photograph had been surveyed in three traffic signal intersection. The surveyed datum were analyzed that discharge headway times from one to three were about 2.5 seconds. the others were about 1.8 seconds. The datum for investigation and the calculation values by means of proposal algorithms revealed that the results based on the t-test are statistically significant.

퉁퉁마디로부터 염에 의하여 유도되는 Aldolase 유전자의 분리 및 발현분석

Soil salinity is one of the most serious abiotic stresses limiting the productivity of agricultural crops. To cope with salt stress, plants respond with physiological, developmental and biochemical changes, including the synthesis of a number of proteins and the induction of gene expression. Salicornia herbacea is a halophytic plant that grows in salt marches and on muddy seashores. In order to understand the biochemical and molecular mechanisms of salt tolerance in S. herbacea, we isolated several genes that involved in the salt tolerance by mRNA differential display.Here we report the cloning of a cDNA encoding fructose-1, 6-bisphosphate aldolase, named ShADL, which is 1293 bp long and contains an open reading frame consisted of 359 amino acids with calculated molecular mass of 39 kDa. ShADL protein showed 86% identity with Arabidopsis and 78% with aldolase of common ice plant. Northern blot analysis revealed that the transcript of ShADL gene was increased dramatically depending on the NaCI concentrations.

Rich Media Poor People : Exploring Media Frames of the Poor in Korea

우리나라를 포함한 다른 선진 국가들에서 빈곤과 양극화 현상은 점차 심화되고 있다. 이러한 경제적 궁핍은 정부의 즉각적이고 효과적인 정책적 개입의 필요성 또한 증대시킨다. 미디어와 정책간의 관계에 대한 연구들은 정책의 내용과 방향이 미디어가 해당 주제와 관련하여 어떻게 프레임 하는지에 따라 달라지고 있음을 보여준다. 특히, 빈곤과 관련한 복지정책의 경우, 해당 이슈의 중요성 및 이 이슈가 국민의 삶과 직결된다는 특성으로 인하여 관련 정책의 방향을 결정하는 여론에 매우 민감하며 이는 미디어 프레임의 영향력을 더욱 강하게 하는 경향이 있다. 이러한 빈곤층에 대한 복지정책과 미디어 프레임간의 긴밀한 관계에도 불구하고 국내의 경우 빈곤과 관련한 미디어 연구가 매우 드물고 이 주제와 관련한 언론의 프레임 분석과 같은 내용분석 연구는 거의 이루어져 있지 않다. 이에, 본 연구는 빈곤과 관련하여 주요 언론 – 조선일보와 KBS 9시뉴스 –에서 나타나는 빈곤과 관련한 프레임의 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 이 연구는 탐색적 연구로서 2008년에서 2015년까지 조선일보와 KBS 뉴스가 빈곤층 (the poor)을 어떻게 묘사하고 있으며, 빈곤의 원인과 대안 및 빈곤층을 규정하는 방식에 대한 내용분석을 시도하였고 이를 통해 빈곤층에 대한 프레임의 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 빈도 분석 결과, 조선일보와 KBS는 서로 상이하지만 유사한 방식으로 빈곤층을 대상화하고 있었으며 그 원인과 해결 방법의 제시에 있어서도 본질적이고 구조적인 접근보다 개인적이고 언론사가 추구하는 이념성과 매체 고유의 관성적 뉴스 제작 방식에 의해 제시되고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 빈곤층을 위한 복지정책에 대한 미디어의 보도의 경향성이 갖는 함의를 논의하였다. The population of the poor in Korea as well as in other advanced countries is soaring. Consequently, the government’s urgent intervention with effective welfare policies is needed. Current literatures on the media and public policy studies indicate that the nature and approach of welfare policy are related to how media frame the poor. However, there are few systematic media studies conducted on this socially urgent issue in Korea. In this study, we try to explore how dominant Korean media frame the poor and how they view the poor people in Korea. Specifically, we will attempt to explore, first, media frames of the poor by the dominant media in Korea, second, how the media conceive the causes of and solutions to the problems of the poor, and third, what are the demographic characteristics of the poor. We chose two most politically influential and financially rich media organizations in Korea, Chosun Ilbo (newspaper) and KBS (public broadcast), to analyze their media frames on the poor. The analytical frame is made based on the current literatures on the media frame and welfare policy studies. The results show that while Korean media are similar with other big rich media in other countries in the ways media frame the poor, the political and historical contexts of Korea entail characteristic media frames on the poor. In addition, it is also found that newspaper and TV news are not always same in defining the poor and explaining the problems of the poor. This study suggests that we need further researches and discussions on the relations between the media frame on the poor class and welfare policy in Korea.

동북아 신냉전과 국제방송: 한국, 미국, 중국의 국제방송의 대북한 관련 뉴스 분석 연구

급변하는 미디어 환경과 글로벌 국제정치의 지정학적 변화에도 불구하고 한반도와 관련된 국제방송에 대한 연구들은 일반적이고 통시적인 연구들 위주로 진행되어 왔다. 일부 우리나라와 관련한 국제방송의 연구들의 경우도 대부분은 국내 방송의 국제방송의 현황과 발전 방향, 우리나라 국제 방송 시청자의 수용자 연구 등 우리나라 국제방송과 관련된 것들로 제한되어 있다. 특히, 우리나라를 둘러싼 주요 국가의 국제방송에 대한 현황 및 내용분석은 시도되고 있지는 않다. 무엇보다도 우리나라와 관련된 국제 방송 연구가 학계의 주요 관심에서 벗어나 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 최근의 국제 방송과 관련한 일반적인 변화의 조건과 경향을 체계적으로 이해하고 이를 바탕으로 우리나라의 국제방송과 한반도를 둘러싼 남한, 미국, 그리고 중국의 한국어 국제방송의 현황과 내용을 분석하고자 한다. 특히 본 연구는 KBS 한민족 방송, RFA 자유아시아방송 그리고 CRI 중국국제방송 등 한국, 미국, 중국의 공영 국제방송국의 북한과 관련한 뉴스를 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 동북아 지역의 지정학적 이해관계와 국제방송의 역할을 이해하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 이 연구에서 분석대상 국제 방송의 북한 관련 뉴스의 주요 이슈, 뉴스 이슈의 지리적 분포, 취재원의 종류 및 이슈별 분포, 그리고 뉴스의 프레임의 유사점 혹은 차이점들을 이해하고자 하였다. 분석결과 뉴스 이슈의 종류, 취재원, 프레임 등은 이 지역에서의 국제방송이 북한과의 외교적 이해관계에 따라 북한 관련 보도의 내용과 방식에 있어 차별화된 보도를 하고 있어 국제방송은 여전히 동북아 지역에서 냉전적 이데올로기의 대리전을 치루고 있음을 보여준다. While media and geopolitical environments around Korean Peninsular has been rapidly changed, studies on the international broadcasting concerning in the region stay relatively unchanged. If not all, most studies on the issue have focused on general understandings of international broadcasting itself or ways to develop programs geared toward Korean audiences in aborad. In fact, there is little attention made for current status and roles of international broadcasting by some of the key countries which have specific geopolitical interests in the region. Thus, this research analyze news content of intranational broadcastings from S.Korea, U.S. and China in order to understand changed geopolitical relations between the key countries in the region as well as how it relates with international broadcasting. In particular, we chose KBS world (S.Korea), RFA(U.S), and CRI (China) to analyze characteristics of issues, sources, and frames of news related to North Korea, which is located in the center of political tensions in the region. The results show that these international broadcasting differ in these analytical subjects in relations with geopolitical interests of each country. We also discuss the implications and suggest for future research direction.

마을미디어의 참여와 정치문화에 대한 비판적 검토

이 논문은 현재 한국 사회에서 활발히 논의되고 실천되고 있는 마을공동체들의 문화, 특히, 정치 문화의 특성과 전망에 관한 것이다. 연구의 목적은 공동체미디어가 민주주의적 공동체 구성과 운영에 기여하는 바가 무엇이며 이를 위한 전제와 조건들이 어떠해야 하는지를 비판적으로 검토하기 위한 논의의 지점들을 제시하는 것이다. 구체적으로 저자는 공동체미디어의 특수성을 규정하는 ‘참여성’의 특성들과 그 조건들은 무엇이며 이러한 특성과 조건들이 마을공동체의 민주주의 또는 민주주의적 공동체를 구성하는데 어느 정도 기여하고 있는지, 그것의 가능성 또는 한계를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 자크 랑시에르의 민주주의적 공동체 논의들이 직접적으로 고려하고 있는 평등의 정치, 감성의 정치철학과 관련된 주요 개념들과 비판적 논리들에 의존하여 이론적 그리고 분석적 틀짓기를 하고자 한다. 이러한 이론적 논의를 바탕으로 본 연구는 서울시 공동체 미디어 참여자들의 인터뷰와 문서자료 등을 분석하여 이 공동체미디어의 참여성의 특성과 조건들이 갖는 서울시 마을공동체에 내재한 민주주의적 구성과 운영의 가능성과 한계 및 정치문화를 이해하는 시도를 하고자 한다. This paper deals with the characteristics and prospects of the culture, especially the political culture, of the Maeul Communities in Seoul, Korea. The purpose of this study is to discuss and provide critical examinations about how community media contribute to construct democratic community and what are the conditions for it. To be more specific, the author tries to understand the characteristics and conditions of ‘participation’ in the community media and how these characteristics and conditions contribute or limit democratic community. To this end, this paper attempts to construct theoretical and analytical frameworks based on critical concepts of equality by a political philosophy, Jacques Rancière. Built upon Rancière’s main arguments about political equality, this study analyzes the interviews and documentations produced through community media research project on Seoul Maeul Communities.

정부의 부동산 대책과 주요 언론보도 경향 분석

언론은 단순히 사회 현실을 전달하는 매체가 아니라 사회 현실을 재구성하는 정치경제적 주체이며, 언론이 제시하는 논의의 내용과 방향성에 따라 보도를 접하는 사람들의 인식과 태도가 좌우될 수 있다. 따라서 언론이 생산해내는 보도의 특성을 이해하고 논의하는 작업은 매우 중요하며 일반적인 사회경제적 이슈가 아닌 경제적 이익의 실현과 밀접한 이슈의 경우 더욱더 객관적인 논증과 사실의 확인이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 우리 사회 내 주요 정치경제적 사안 중 하나인 부동산 정책에 관한 보도를 대상으로 보도 방식과 특성을 파악하고 매체별로 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 분석결과, 부동산 정책 관련 보도의 양, 보도 섹션, 이슈별 보도 등 형식적 측면과 프레임, 태도 등 내용적 측면의 특성이 모두 매체별로 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 한국 신문사들은 공중의 이익이 아니라 자사가 추구하는 정치적 이념과 경제적 이해관계에 따라 보도하는 경향을 보이고 있었다. The media is not just a means of conveying social reality, but is also a political economic subject that restructures social reality. The perceptions and attitudes of the people who read the news can be influenced by the content and direction of the media. Therefore, it is very important to understand and discuss the characteristics of news coverage produced by media. In the case of issues closely related to economic benefits rather than general socio-economic issues, more objective arguments and confirmation of facts are required. In this study, we tried to understand how real estate policy, which is one of the major political and economic issues of S. Korean society, is covered in the media. After analyzing media coverage, we concluded that it was somewhat unreasonable to look at facts about real estate policy objectively and make realistic alternatives, because the framework and attitudes expressed in the articles varied by newspaper.

네이버 · 다음 모바일 포털 뉴스 플랫폼의 19대 대통령 선거기사 분석

본 연구는 19대 대선 공간에서 포털의 모바일 뉴스사이트가 배열한 선거 뉴스를 분석함으로써, 정치 커뮤니케이션에서 포털의 역할과 그 함의를 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 모바일 포털인 네이버와 다음의 19대 대통령 선거 뉴스 섹션의 기사에서 다뤄진 매체, 이슈와 주제, 후보자 분포를 살펴보고, 의미연결망분석을 시도하였다. 연구 결과 포털의 선거보도에서 통신사 기사는 신문, 방송에 비해 더 많이 다뤄지고 있었으며, 두 포털별로 후보자 출현 빈도는 물론 뉴스 중심어 의미연결망 구조에서도 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 동일한 선거 현실에 대한 의미 연관이 서로 다른 뉴스현실을 뉴스 이용자들에게 차별적으로 제공하고 있음을 시사하면서, 동시에 특정 매체가 선택적으로 선호되는 포털 뉴스 배열의 의미를 질문케 한다. 본 연구의 주요 발견은 정치커뮤니케이션 과정에서 강한 영향력을 행사하는 한국의 미디어 플랫폼의 역할과 책임에 대해 새로운 차원의 정책적 접근과 사회적 관심을 갖게 한다. In this study, we selected two mobile portals, NAVER and Daum, - two of the most popular online news platforms for news consumption in Korea - for the analysis of 19th presidential election news reports. In particular, we tried to identify characteristics of the media coverage of news and issues that are delivered through the portal news platforms during the 19th Presidential Election campaign periods. We found that there were significant differences in media channels used for the distribution of news media and media coverage provided by those platforms and media channels. The main findings of this study suggest that alternative ways to conceptualize what is news media and the roles of new media technologies to properly address social responsibility in the processes of political communication for Korean society.
