As a part of the investigation for clarifying the genetic composition of Korean population, phenotypes and allele frequencies of complement Factor I and complement Factor H in the blood were analysed by polyacrylamide gel isoelectric focusing followed by immunoblotting. Blood samples were obtained from healthy individuals living in Seoul, Kangreung an Cheju, Korea. Three phenotypes of complement Factor I (FI A, FI AB and FI B) appeared in Korean population. The allele frequencies of FI*A and FI*B were 0.9011 and 0.0989, respectively. Phenotypes of complement Factor H were classified into three common types(FH A, FH AB and FH B) and five rare types (FH A1, FH A1A, FH A1B, FH BM and FH QO). Allele frequencies of FH*A, FH*B, FH*A1, FH*M and FH*QO were 0.4739, 0.5056, 0.0155, 0.0024 and 0.0016, respectively. The FI*B frequency of Mongoloids was lower than that of Caucasoid population. The FH*B frequency appeared relatively higher than FH*A frequency in most populations studied. Rare alleles, FH*M and FH*QO, appeared in Korean and Japanese populations.

Five smart grid projects was started with large scale at Jeju Island in South Korea from 2009, and smart-grid test-bed was started in Nov. 2010. The five projects are Smart Power Grid (SPG), Smart Renewable (SR), Smart Transportation (ST), Smart Place (SP) and Smart Electric Service (SES). Korea government constructed the smart grid public relations center at Nov. 2010 in Jeju Island and there will be continued the field operation and interface testing among five smart gird projects until May. 2013.

한국전력은 765㎸ 송전선(2,000A/single phase)에 ball sensor를 설치할 계획이다. 우리의 이전연구에서는 다중 Mu-metal 케이스를 설치한 후 여러 조건하에서 센서의 정상동작여부와 차폐효율을 연구하였다. 이번연구에서는 Mu-metal 케이스의 겹 수와 형상에 따른 차폐효율을 연구할 것이다. 차폐효율은 전류가 커짐에 따라 감소하는 것을 보이며, Mu-metal 케이스의 자속경로가 길어짐에 따라 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다. Ball sensor의 형상에 따른 차이를 고찰하기 위하여 실제실험 전에 실제 실험과 동일한 조건으로 시뮬레이션툴을 사용하여 모의 하였으며 그에 따른 실험을 수행하였다. 이런 방식으로 실제 실험 전에 관련 실험의 결과를 예측 가능하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 통해 이상적인 Mu-metal 케이스의 형상과 겹 수를 찾을 수 있었다.
실적 온난화 처리가 굴참나무 묘목의 엽록소 함량 및 순광합성률에 미치는 영향

We investigated the effect of artificial warming on chlorophyll contents and net photosynthetic rates of 2-year-old Quercus variabilis seedlings in a nursery open-field experiment site. 64 seedlings were each planted in 1 m×1 m plots (n = 4) and warmed with infrared lamps. The air temperature in warmed plots was 3°C higher than that of control plots. Chlorophyll contents and net photosynthetic rates were measured in May, July, August, September and October, 2011. In May, September and October chlorophyll contents and net photosynthetic rates were significantly higher in warmed plots than in control plots. However, there were no significant differences in chlorophyll contents and net photosynthetic rates between warmed plots and control plots in July and August. It seemed that early developed leaves of warmed plots in May with higher chlorophyll contents could lead to higher net photosynthetic rates whereas there was no difference in net photosynthetic rates due to saturation of chlorophyll contents in July and August. Increased biosynthesis of chlorophyll due to warming might increase net photosynthetic rates in September and October.
도시공원 내 텃밭 경작 참여 여부에 따른 공원 공공성 인식 연구

본 연구는 도시공원 내 텃밭 경작 참여 여부에 따른 공원 공공성 인식 연구로 공원 내 텃밭에서 발생하고 있는 문제점을 기반으로 공원 내 텃밭에 관한 인식과 공원 내 텃밭 공공성 평가, 공원 내 텃밭 공공성 증진에 대한 이용자 인식을 파악하고자 하였다. 텃밭 경작 참여 여부에 따른 인식 차이를 비교하기 위해 경작 참여 집단과 비참여 집단을 구분하여 분석을 시행하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 경작 참여 집단은 비참여 집단에 비해 공원 내 텃밭 조성에 대한 필요성을 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었으나 공원 내 텃밭을 개인의 이익을 위한 공간으로 인식하고 있어 공원의 공공성을 위협하고 있었다. 둘째, 공원 내 텃밭 공공성을 평가한 결과, 경작 비참여 집단이 참여 집단에 비해 도시공원 내 텃밭의 공공성을 부정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 공원 내 텃밭 공공성 증진을 위한 텃밭 분양 방법 및 소비 방법에 대한 인식 조사 결과, 경작 참여 집단은 텃밭을 공공의 가치로 인식하기보다는 개인의 가치를 위한 공간으로 인식하고 있었으며, 이에 지속가능한 관리 운영을 위해서 두 집단 모두 공원 이용자 사이에 텃밭의 공공적 가치 인식을 공유하는 것이 필요하다고 나타났다. 본 연구는 공원의 기능과 텃밭의 기능이 상충되지 않고 도시공원 내 텃밭이 공원 공공성을 해치지 않는 범위 내에서 조성 및 관리 운영되기 위한 이용자 측면의 방향성을 제시하였다는 것에 의의가 있다. 따라서 앞으로 공원 내 텃밭이 조성되고 관리 운영함에 있어 공원의 공공성을 유지하는데 도움을 주는 기초적인 자료로 활용될 것을 기대한다. This research aimed at understanding recognition of the park's community garden, public evaluation of it, and user awareness of the public enhancement plan. This was based on the problem that arose in the park community garden as public awareness research along with community garden cultivation participation within the urban park. In order to compare recognition differences along with community garden cultivation participation, the researcher conducted an analysis by dividing research participants into a cultivation participant group and non-participant group. As a result first, the cultivation participant group positively recognized the necessity of the community garden compared to the non-participant group. However, they recognized the community garden as a space for private profit, which threatened the public aspect of the park. Second, as a result of evaluating community garden publicness, the non-participant group which was alienated from community garden use, had a negative opinion about the community garden. Third, as a result of researching awareness of the community garden distribution method and consumption to promote publicness of the community garden, the cultivation participant group recognized the community garden as a space for private profit. Therefore, it is necessary for both groups to be aware of the public value of the community garden among the park users for sustainable management and operation. The significance of this research is the direction in the aspect of users to form, manage and operate the community garden in the urban park without damaging publicness of the park or conflicting between the function of the park and the function of the community garden. Henceforth, the researcher expects that this research can be utilized to maintain publicness of the park in respect of formation of the community garden in the park and management and operation.
DEXA를 이용한 BMD 측정 시 Bone scan검사가 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : Bone metastasis 가정

암세포가 뼈로 전이된 Bone Metastasis환자의 경우를 가정하고, Bone Scan검사로 uptake된 방사성의약품 표지화합물이 DEXA검사 시 BMD값에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. Aluminum Spine Phantom의 중간위치에 99mTc-MDP를 고정해서 metastasis가 있을 때와 없을 때, 그리고 그 세기를 1, 3, 5, 10mCi로 증가시켰을 때의 차이를 알아보았다. 기준값으로 측정된 BMD값과 비교했을 때 1, 3mCi의 99mTc-MDP의 경우 높은 BMD결과값을 보였으며, 5, 10mCi의 99mTc-MDP에서는 낮은 BMD 결과값을 나타냈다. 통계적으로는 1, 3, 5mCi의 경우 유의한 차이가 없었으나(p>0.05), 10mCi의 경우 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나(p<0.05) Bone Scan 후 bone metastasis부위에 uptake된 99mTc-MDP로 인해 BMD값에 영향을 미칠 수도 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the change of BMD value due to radiopharm aceuticals that accumulated in lesions on the assumption of Bone Metastases. By fixing 99mTc-MDP in the middle position of the Aluminum Spine Phantom, the difference between the presence and absence of metastasis, and when the intensity was increased to 1, 3, 5, and 10 mCi was investigated. Compared with the BMD value measured as the refe rence value, 1 and 3mCi showed high BMD result, and 5 and 10mCi showed low BMD result. Statistically, there was no significant difference in the case of 1, 3, and 5mCi (p>0.05), but there was a significant difference in the case of 10mCi (p<0.05). Therefore, it could be concluded that it may have an effect on the BMD value.
Case Report : A Case of Eccrine Spiradenoma in a Patient with Neurofibromatosis

Neurofibromatosis is a systemic hereditary disorder with varied manifestations in bone, soft tissue, the nervous system and skin. Cutaneous manifestations of neurofibromatosis are characterized by cafe-au-lait macules, multiple neurofibromas, Lisch nodules and intertriginous freckling. Some benign or malignant tumors such as juvenile xanthogranuloma, pheochromocytoma, and malignant melanoma can accompany neurofibromatosis. But, in the English literature, no case of eccrine spiradenoma associated with neurofibromatosis has been reported. Eccrine spiradenoma is a benign uncommon neoplasm of skin adnexa. It presents as a painful, slow-growing and solitary nodule on the head or upper trunk. Here, we report a rare case of eccrine spiradenoma in a patient with neurofibromatosis. Desmoid tumors are uncommon benign neoplasm of the fibroblasts. They occur rarely in the general population, but they are comparatively common in patients with familial polyposis coli with or without other elements of Gardner`s syndrome. Herein, we report a 16-year-old woman with Gardner`s syndrome complicated by desmoid tumors on the right subscapular area. (Ann Dermatol 22(4) 418~421, 2010)
