14.6A GeV^28Si 중이온이 원자핵 건판내에서 발생시킨 N_h=1인 핵반응에서 생성된 47개의 파쇄 α 입자와 537개의 단일하전 2차입자의 발생각들을 측정하여 변수 exp(γ-η_b)의 포괄적 분포를 회귀함수 dN=exp[a+χ{exp(γ-η_b)d{exp(γ-η_b)}로 적합시켰다. 여기서 의사신속도 γ=arctanh(cosθ)=-ln tan(θ/2)이고, 입사 중이온의 신속도 η_b=3.445이다. 그 적합결과 파쇄 α입자의 경우 χ=-0.052±0.011이고, 파쇄 p입자의 경우 χ=-0.141±0.015이었다. For LS emission angles of 47 α fragments and 537 single-charged shower particles, produced by the N_h (the number of heavyprongs)=1 interactions of 14.6 A GeV^28Si nuclei in the nuclear emulsion, the distribution of the parameter exp(γ-η_b) is well expressed by dN=exp[a+χ{exp(γ-η_b)d{exp(γ-η_b)}with χ=-0.052±0.011 for αfragments and χ=-0.141±0.015 for p 'fragments', where the pseudorapidity of secondaries γ=arctanh(cosθ)=-ln tan(θ/2) and the rapidity of incident heavy ions, η_b=3.445.
Summer behavior of the Changjiang diluted water to the East/Japan Sea: A modeling study in 2003

The summer behavior of Changjiang diluted water (CDW) toward the East/Japan Sea (EJS) is investigated by using a numerical ocean model. The present study focuses on the summer 2003, in which significant low salinity water is observed in the southwestern EJS in spite of similar amount of Changjiang discharge to the normal year. This paper mainly compares two experimental results for the summer 2003 (Exp. Y2003) and the normal year (Exp. NML). The simulated CDW in summer 2003 reveals remarkable changes in the pathway toward the Tsushima/Korea (T/K) Strait. The northeastward CDW behavior to the Jeju Strait, a major pathway in the normal year, is significantly reduced, while an intense southeastward extension to the along-shelf current (i.e., Taiwan-Tsushima Warm Current System) is dominant, similar to the field observation in July 2003. It is suggested that the Ekman dynamics plays an active role in remarkable changes of the CDW behavior. Namely, the reduction of northeastward behavior is associated with the dominance of strong northerly wind anomaly where the fresher bulge develops. On the other hand, the strengthened southwesterly wind over the southern region off the river mouth reinforces the extension to the along-shelf current. In consequence, the CDW below 28.0psu joins the along-shelf current in the central East China Sea, and a passage of significant low salinity water is resulted at the T/K Strait in August 2003 due to the advection by along-shelf current. The additional experiment also exhibits that the strength of along-shelf current has an impact on the passage of CDW via the T/K Strait.

In this work, we demonstrate color-stable, ITO-free white organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs) with enhanced efficiencies by combining the high-conductivity conducting polymer PEDOT:PSS as transparent electrode and a nanoparticle-based scattering layer (NPSL) as the effective optical out-coupling layer. In addition to efficiency enhancement, the NPSL is also beneficial to the stabilization of electroluminescent spectra/colors over viewing angles. Both the PEDOT:PSS and the NPSL can be fabricated by simple, low-temperature solution processing. The integration of both solution-processable transparent electrodes and light extraction structures into OLEDs is particularly attractive for applications since they simultaneously provide manufacturing, cost and efficiency advantages. During the autumn of 1990 , we had investigated the clinical featuresw and followed the change in the direct immunofluorescent antibody(IFA) titers in 28 children with scrub typhus who resided in or near Chinju, Korea. All the children except one were diagnosed by the peak IFA titers of 1:160 or higher. The results were as follows: 1) The clinical features of our children were not different, to a large degree, from those of adults ever described in Korea literatures. But the frequence rates of skin rash, eschar and conjunctival injection were higher, those of proteinuria and hematuria were lower than those in adults and the characters of rash in our children were also quite different(faces were frequently the first site of eruption and even palms and soles were involved occasionally, initial bright red color of rash was changed into brown color during the acute phase). 2) IFA titers rose rapidly during the 2nd or 3rd week of illness and then formed plateau. When we suggest IFA titers of 1:180 or higher as the diagnostic criteria, the seropositivity of our children was 5/7(75%) in the 1st week and over 95% in the 2nd through 5th week of illness, and suggest IFA titers of 1:160 or higher,then the seropositivityin the 1st, 2nd and 3rd through 5th week were 3/7(43%), 23/31(74%) and over 95%,respectively. 3) IFA titers in 6-8 months after disease onset were 1:80(13 children) or 1:20( 7 children), and in one and half year (our longest follow-up period), 1:20 (3 children) showing that IFA lasts longer than one and half year after sickness. 4) From the above data (3) and the fact that majority of cases of scrub typhus occur in the autumn season in Korea, IFA titers of 1:40-1:160 should be used as the diagnostic criteria in order to distinguish between the present and past infections.

<P>We search for the charmless B-o decay with final state particles p (Lambda) over bar pi(-)gamma using the full data sample that contains 772 x 10(6)B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. This decay is predicted to proceed predominantly via the b -> s gamma radiative penguin process with a high energy photon. No significant signal is found. We set an upper limit of 6.5 x 10(-7) for the branching fraction of B-o -> p (Lambda) over bar pi(-)gamma at the 90% confidence level.</P>

This study was designed to analyze boar sperm to compare motility, acrosome morphology, viability and ATP by various preservation methods between Duroc boar A with cold shock resistance sperm and Duroc boar B with cold shock sensitivity sperm. Semen volume, sperm concentration, motility and normal acrosome between Duroc boar A and B did not show any differences within 2 h after collection. There were no differences in sperm motility and normal acrosome between boar A and B at 1 day of preservation at $17^{\circ}C$ and $4^{\circ}C$, respectively. However, sperm motility and normal acrosome from 2 day of preservation at $17^{\circ}C$ and $4^{\circ}C$, respectively, were higher for boar A than boar B. The frozen-thawed sperm motility and normal acrosome were higher for boar A than boar B. The sperm viability and ATP concentration according to storage period of liquid semen at $17^{\circ}C$ and $4^{\circ}C$ were higher for boar A than boar B. Also, the sperm viability and ATP concentration of frozen-thawed semen were higher for boar A than boar B. In conclusion, we found out that the original quality of boar semen with cold shock resistance sperm played an important role.
