The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Calcium ingestion on bone density and hormone in childhood. Subjects were composed of 15 athletes of Taekwondo. They were experienced in athlete for more 2 yrs. They were divided into two group: Each group was made up of 8 athletes. One group(CA) ingested 1,000mg/CA a day. The other group(Non-CA) didn't take it. The taekwando training was performed 4 hours per day, 5days for a week for 12 weeks. After extracting the blood sampling, bone density (L2, L3, L4) and serum hormone(Calcitonin & Osteocalcin) were compared between baseline ad after 12 week aerobic exercise. Two-way ANOVA repeated measure was used to evaluate the difference of baseline and after 12 weeks aerobic exercise. The 0.05 level of significant was as critical level or the study. The result obtained from this study were as follows. 1. Serum Calcitonin & Osteocalcin were significantly decreased after Taekwondo training Far la weeks in CA(p<.05) and were decreased in Non-CA. 2. Serum Calcium concetnration were significantly decreased after Taekwondo training for 1a weeks in CA(p<.05) and were decreased in Non-CA(p<.05). 3. Bone density of L1 and L4 were increased and L3 was decreased in both groups after Taekwondo training for is weeks. Therefore, it is maybe thought that Taekwando training for 12 weeks will benefit the treatment of serum hormone as well as improve bone density in taekwondo athlete.
Dynamic behavior of flexible sensory hair in an oscillating flow

Hair cells that respond to movements of a surrounding medium are the mechanoreceptors commonly found in creatures. A lot of filiform hairs function as a sensory system for raider detections and communications in life. An analysis has been conducted in order to investigate the behavior of a flexible filiform hair for the development of a biomimetic hair cell sensor. The forces acting on the hair are due to drag, vorticity diffusion and added mass of a surrounding flow. In the transient analysis, the flow is assumed as an oscillating flow on a substrate at low or moderate frequencies. The lower order in the normal modes plays the most dominant role in characterizing the hair cell behavior. It is easy to understand the dynamics of the artificial hair cell sensor by comparing the magnitude of generalized coordinates and their phase diagrams. It is found that the elastic modulus and the geometric parameters such as length and diameter of the sensory hair determine the mechanical sensitivities and responses in the oscillating flow. By manipulating them appropriately, the displacement,velocity, and acceleration can be controlled and measured in a wide range of frequencies.

환상문학 작가로 널리 알려진 꼬르따사르는 1959년에 출판한 작품집 『비밀병기』에 수록된 중편 「추적자」부터 형이상학적 추구라는 주제를 천착하기 시작했다. 이러한 추구는 그의 환상문학에서 문학적으로 절묘하게 형상화된 ‘다른 현실’에 대한 사변적 형태라는 점에서 환상문학의 연장선상에 있다. 그러나 다른 현실은 초월적인 이상 세계가 아니라 현실과 동일한 평면에 위치하고 있는 세계이며, 과거나 미래의 세계가 아니라 현존하는 세계이다. 이처럼 지금, 여기(hic et nunc)에 현존하는 다른 세계를 추구하는 것은 그 어떤 초월성도 용인하지 않는 시대에 말할 수 없는 것을 말하려는 시도이다. Julio Cortázar, who is considered a master of fantastic literature, discussed about the theme of metaphysical pursuit in his work “The Pursuer” (El perseguidor), which was first published in the short story collection The Secret Weapons (Las armas secretas) in 1959. The theme is considered to be a speculative argument of “the other reality”, which the argentine writer has presented skillfully in his fantastic literature. Cortazar’s “other reality” is neither a transcendental world nor an ideal world, yet it is located in this world, now and here. The pursuit of the other reality can be seen as an endeavor to express what is ineffable in the era of losing any sense of transcendental realities.
The Fabrication of a Single-Phase Fe3O4 Film on W(110) Using a Co-Deposition Method

By using soft X-ray adsorption spectroscopy (XAS) and soft X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD), we investigated the fabrication of a single-phase Fe3O4 film on W(110) via the co-deposition method of Fe and oxygen as we control the substrate temperature. Furthermore, we confirmed the formation of various Fe-oxide films at various annealing temperature after the fabrication of the Fe3O4 film. Calibration and Validation of TRANSIMS Microsimulator for an Urban Arterial Network

TRANSIMS, a travel demand modeling software package initially developed by the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL),enables modeling of individual activities and provides second-by-second simulation results on vehicular movements. TRANSIMS has been applied more than a decade, but calibration and validation of TRANSIMS Microsimulator have not received proper attention from transportation engineering community. This paper presents a case study of a TRANSIMS Microsimulator calibration and validation using an experimental design approach. An urban arterial network consisted of four signalized intersections was calibrated against field measured travel times and traffic count data. The distributions of travel times and traffic count obtained from the multiple replications of the default parameter values were not able to replicate field conditions,while the proposed approach did well. Even though this case study used a small corridor network in urban area, the calibration and validation procedure could be extended to a larger scale network in TRANSIMS modeling as well as transportation planning applications.

There is a rental housing policy in Korea to support low income citizen. However, the living condition of tenants through this rental program is not work for improving, unlike the initial purpose of providing rental housings. Rental housings, which were planned to improve the residential welfare and enhance self-reliance ability of low income groups and the elderly. It's not effective any more in terms of policy purpose. To solve this problem, plans are needed to support for the construction by Farm-Housing(FH) so that the residents of can support their self-reliance by promoting creating jobs and cooperation. This paper analyze and propose some solution in terms of legal system, financing and streamlining of planing process and permission to support FH program. The paper focus purpose to help identify a new area through such proposals and retain a power of leading technology by bridging the gap between the realistic aspect and ideal aspect.

An estimation of origin-destination (OD) demand matrix is one of key elements to ensure the success in traffic modeling analysis.Even with widely deployed traffic sensors and advanced computational technologies, an estimation of time-dependent OD matricesis still a key barrier for the implementation of dynamic traffic assignment as well as simulation-based traffic modeling analysis. Thispaper proposes an improvement of existing time-dependent OD estimation method by updating assignment matrix at each step ofOD estimation process and quantifies benefits and costs of doing so. The results from a case study with Florian network showed that40% when compared with the OD flows from the DynaMIT OD estimation method with fixed assignment matrix, one of the mostcommonly used OD estimation methods. However, the proposed method would require significantly higher computational time thanthe traditional DyanMIT OD estimation method.
