Purpose: To investigate the efficacy and safety of Javanica oil emulsion injection (Yadanzi$^{(R)}$) combined with pemetrexed and platinum (PP) for treating patients with advanced lung cancer. Patients and Methods: From June 2011 to June 2013, we recruited 58 patients with advanced lung cancer, and divided them into two groups. Twenty eight patients received Yadanzi$^{(R)}$ (from ZheJiang Jiuxu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) together with PP chemotherapy (combined group), while the others were given only PP chemotherapy (control group). After two cycles of treatment, efficacy and safety of treatment were evaluated. Results: The overall respnse rate [(CR+PR+SD)/(CR+PR+SD+PD)] of the combined group was higher than that of control group (89.7% vs. 86.2%, p>0.05). Regarding rate of life improvement, it was 82.8% in combined group, and 51.7% in the control group (p<0.05). In terms of side effects, leukopenia in combined group was less frequent than that in control group (p<0.05). More patients in the control group were found to suffer liver toxicity. Conclusions: Javanica oil emulsion injection combined with chemotherapy could be considered as a safe and effective regimen in treating patients with advanced lung adenocarcinoma. It can improve the quality of life and reduce the possibility of leukopenia. Further clinical trials with a large sample size should be conducted to confirm whether addition of Yadanzi$^{(R)}$ to chemotherapy could increase the response rate, reduce toxicity, enhance tolerability and improve quality of life for patients with advanced lung cancer.
Anti-Rollover Control Based on Stable Zone Partition of Counterbalanced Forklift Trucks
Xia Guang,Xia Yan,Tang Xiwen,Zhao Linfeng,Hu Jinfang 한국자동차공학회 2021 International journal of automotive technology Vol.22 No.6
To improve the anti-rollover capacity of a counterbalanced forklift, a two-stage rollover dynamic model is established on the basis of the forklift structure. Stable zones are divided according to the two-stage lateral load transfer rate: stable region, relatively stable region, dangerous zone and abnormal dangerous zone. An anti-rollover layered control strategy based on stable zone partition is proposed, and different anti-rollover control actuators are selected: dynamic balance weight, anti-rollover cylinder and steering cylinder. Anti-rollover controllers consist of the upper stable region identification controller, the middle-level controller based on model predictive control (MPC) and the lower layer executive controller. The upper stable region identification controller performs stable zone recognition based on the two-stage lateral load transfer rate. The middlelevel MPC controller calculates the required control torque with the body’s lateral angle and yaw rate as the control objectives. The lower layer executive controller controls the balance weight, anti-rollover cylinder and the steering cylinder according to the improved chain incremental allocation method to meet the target control torque. Simulation and real vehicle tests based on MATLAB/Simulink show that the anti-rollover control based on stable zone partition can greatly reduce the risk of forklift rollover and improve the forklift safety.
Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Decursin, Prantschimgin and Their Derivatives
Xia, Yan,Min, Kyung-Hoon,Lee, Kyeong Korean Chemical Society 2009 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.30 No.1
The synthesis of coumarin-based natural products and their derivatives is described. In vitro MDR reversal activities of the synthesized compounds were evaluated in P-glycoprotein over-expressing human sarcoma cell line MES-SA/DX5. Some of the coumarin derivatives were found to show potent MDR reversal activity. In particular, pyridyl derivative (15e) exhibited more potency than verapamil.
Innovative Teaching Via Sustainable Vocational Education with an Improved Ant Colony Algorithm
Yan Xia 대한전자공학회 2023 IEIE Transactions on Smart Processing & Computing Vol.12 No.5
Although students’ test scores provide an important reference for teaching and learning, research scholars still need to objectively analyze the scores. Under the current situation where English performance of vocational education students does not achieve satisfactory results, this research uses a clustering algorithm to improve on the ant colony optimization algorithm. This ant colony clustering analysis algorithm is improved by incorporating two optimization strategies, and the test scores of vocational education students are introduced as the original data for cluster analysis. The optimal number of ant colonies is nine, when the three error values of the two ant colony algorithms are minimized. The convergence values of the three ant colony algorithms are smallest when there are 200 training cycles or when the training batch size is 1000, resulting in upgraded ant colony clustering algorithm convergence values of 0.498 and 1.523, respectively. The performance of the student evaluation model combined with the ant colony clustering optimization algorithm improved, followed by CF, FOA, and BP. KNN had the worst performance. Data mining on student performance can be done via research that can provide specialized advice on students' issues.
Controlled Secure Direct Communication by Using GHZ Entangled State
Yan XIA,Shou ZHANG,Chang-Bao FU,엄정인,Feng-Yue LI,연규황 한국물리학회 2005 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.47 No.3
We present a controlled secure direct communication protocol by using Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) entangled state via swapping quantum entanglement and local unitary operations. Since messages transferred only by using local operations and a public channel after entangled states are successfully distributed, this protocol can protect the communication against a destroying-travel-qubit-type attack. This scheme can also be generalized to a multi-party controlsystem.
Sensory involvement in the SOD1-G93A mouse model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

A subset of patients of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) present with mutation of Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1), and such mutants caused an ALSlike disorder when expressed in rodents. These findings implicated SOD1 in ALS pathogenesis and made the transgenic animals a widely used ALS model. However, previous studies of these animals have focused largely on motor neuron damage. We report herein that the spinal cords of mice expressing a human SOD1 mutant (hSOD1-G93A), besides showing typical destruction of motor neurons and axons, exhibit significant damage in the sensory system, including Wallerian-like degeneration in axons of dorsal root and dorsal funiculus, and mitochondrial damage in dorsal root ganglia neurons. Thus, hSOD1-G93A mutation causes both motor and sensory neuropathies, and as such the disease developed in the transgenic mice very closely resembles human ALS. The effects of environmental factors on the paeonol accumulation in cortex moutan of herbal Paeonia suffruticosa cv. Fengdan were investigated. Cortex moutan of ‘Fengdan’ and the corresponding soil samples were collected from Tongling (Anhui Province, China). A pot experiment was also conducted to investigate the responses of plant growth and paeonol concentrations to copper (Cu) supply. The paeonol and Cu concentrations in cortex moutan samples, the basic soil properties and soil’s bacterial diversity were analyzed. The results showed that moderate levels of Cu in the soil enhanced the paeonol concentration in the cortex moutan. Moreover, the paeonol concentration was related significantly to soil bacterial diversity. The results of the pot experiment showed that increasing Cu supply from 63 to 263 mg·kg-1 did not produce any significant effect on the dry weight of ‘Fengdan’ cortex moutan, duramen, and total plant. Increasing Cu supply significantly increased the concentrations of paeonol in cortex moutan and duramen; but at 263 mg·kg-1 Cu there was a slight decline in their concentrations than those obtained at 156mg·kg-1 Cu. In all treatments, the concentrations of paeonol were much higher in the cortex moutan than those in the duramen. Due to its ecological benefits, ‘Fengdan’ can be planted in soil contaminated with moderate Cu.
