        Investigation of the association between sleep problems and food allergies in preschool children with/without siblings: a cross-sectional study in Chongqing, China

        Purpose: This study investigated the association between sleep problems and food allergies (FAs) in Chinese preschoolers and assessed whether there is a difference in this association among children with/without siblings. Methods: A cluster-stratified sampling approach was employed to select four districts in Chongqing based on demographic considerations. A total of 16 kindergartens (n = 966 parents) participated in this study. Parents completed the Children’s Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ) and a standard FAs questionnaire. Analysis of covariance and multiple logistic regression were used to assess the associations between sleep problems and FAs after adjusting for relevant confounders. Results: The study found that 16.3% of children had FAs, with eggs, shellfish, and fruit being the most common allergenic foods. The prevalence of FAs was significantly higher in single children (20.63%) than in children with siblings (13.36%). A total of 70.39% of children had CSHQ scores above the clinical cut-off for sleep disorder. Factor analysis revealed five underlying dimensions from the CSHQ. Factor scores, except for the ‘difficulty morning waking’ factor, were not significantly different between the two groups. Remarkably, the factor scores of ‘parasomnias’ and ‘sleep anxiety’ were significantly higher when children had both siblings and FAs. For all subjects, the odds ratios (ORs) of FAs significantly increased with the presence of sleep disorder (OR, 2.35; 95% confidence interval [CI],1.50–3.68) and ‘difficulty falling asleep’ (OR, 1.34; 95% CI, 1.22–1.48). The subgroup analysis showed that the probability of FAs significantly increased with the ‘difficulty falling asleep’ (OR, 1.32 vs. 1.38) and sleep disorder (OR, 2.48 vs. 2.14) in children with and without siblings, respectively. The ‘parasomnias’ was positively associated only with children with siblings. Conclusion: This study suggests that children with siblings might be more susceptible to FAs when accompanied by certain sleep problems. Further studies are warranted to address the underlying dimensions and possible mediation effects of having siblings with sleep problems.

        Research on User Access Pattern Mining Based on Web Log

        Aiming at the field of e-commerce, this paper analyzes e-commerce user behavior based on the data characteristics of e-commerce back-end logs and constructs a user behavior mining model. On the basis of Web user behavior theory, it analyzes user behavior based on interactive content. Based on the background of big data, the traditional data mining algorithm is further optimized, which greatly improves the operating efficiency of the algorithm. At the same time, a distributed file storage structure is adopted to improve the fault tolerance of system data processing. This paper studies the advantages and disadvantages of collaborative filtering recommendation algorithms. The Web user behavior mining system constructed in this paper can conduct multi-dimensional and efficient mining. It helps e-commerce merchants and content providers to understand their users and achieve better commercial value through precise marketing and accurate recommendations, and complete the upgrade of data-driven services.

        Energy-Saving for a Velocity Control System of a Pipe Isolation Tool Based on a Reinforcement Learning Method

        The pipe isolation tool (PIT) demonstrates remarkable advantages in safety and efficiency compared with traditional plugging devices. However, its utilization in plugging operations is limited by the operation duration. In addition, the existing energy recovery system has low energy saving efficiency. In this paper, a real-time control energy-saving system of the PIT was designed based on a reinforcement learning algorithm. First, an experimental device for energy-saving was designed. Secondly, the energy distribution scheme of a hydraulic pump and accumulator based on experimental data was proposed. Finally, the reinforcement learning algorithm was used to adjust the opening of the hydraulic pump and the accumulator valves in real time during the plugging process to improving energy saving efficiency. The results verify that the energy saving efficiency of the PIT control system based on reinforcement learning could reach 23.71%, which satisfies the objectives of energy-saving and environmental applicability.

        Preparation of Monascus-fermented ginkgo seeds: optimization of fermentation parameters and evaluation of bioactivity

        In this study, a high monacolin K yield was achieved through solid-state fermentation of Ginkgo biloba seeds. Monascus purpureus suspension made from red yeast rice was used as spore inoculum. Fermentation conditions in solid-state fermentation were optimized using response surface methodology, and the optimal conditions for the maximum monacolin K yield (17.71 ± 1.57 mg/g) were 0.22% ammonium sulfate, 0.34% ammonium chloride, 0.05% magnesium sulfate, fermentation time of 12 days, inoculation volume of 11%, and temperature of 27 °C. The total phenolic content of Monascus-fermented ginkgo seeds attained 9.67 mg GAE/g, 4.88-fold higher than that of unfermented ginkgo seeds. The scavenging abilities of DPPH and ABTS free radicals increased to 9.79 mg TE/g and 13.92 mg TE/g, respectively. These findings highlight the importance of investigating the optimal fermentation conditions for maximum monacolin K yield and the utilization value of ginkgo seed as fermentation substrate for higher bioactivities.

        Human Action Recognition Based on 3D Convolutional Neural Network from Hybrid Feature

        3D convolution is to stack multiple consecutive frames to form a cube, and then apply the 3D convolution kernel in the cube. In this structure, each feature map of the convolutional layer is connected to multiple adjacent sequential frames in the previous layer, thus capturing the motion information. However, due to the changes of pedestrian posture, motion and position, the convolution at the same place is inappropriate, and when the 3D convolution kernel is convoluted in the time domain, only time domain features of three consecutive frames can be extracted, which is not a good enough to get action information. This paper proposes an action recognition method based on feature fusion of 3D convolutional neural network. Based on the VGG16 network model, sending a pre-acquired optical flow image for learning, then get the time domain features, and then the feature of the time domain is extracted from the features extracted by the 3D convolutional neural network. Finally, the behavior classification is done by the SVM classifier.

        Primary Invasive Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Lung: Prognostic Value of CT Imaging Features Combined with Clinical Factors

        Objective: To investigate the association between CT imaging features and survival outcomes in patients with primary invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA). Materials and Methods: Preoperative CT image findings were consecutively evaluated in 317 patients with resected IMA from January 2011 to December 2015. The association between CT features and long-term survival were assessed by univariate analysis. The independent prognostic factors were identified by the multivariate Cox regression analyses. The survival comparison of IMA patients was investigated using the Kaplan-Meier method and propensity scores. Furthermore, the prognostic impact of CT features was assessed based on different imaging subtypes, and the results were adjusted using the Bonferroni method. Results: The median follow-up time was 52.8 months; the 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival rates of resected IMAs were 68.5% and 77.6%, respectively. The univariate analyses of all IMA patients demonstrated that 15 CT imaging features, in addition to the clinicopathologic characteristics, significantly correlated with the recurrence or death of IMA patients. The multivariable analysis revealed that five of them, including imaging subtype (p = 0.002), spiculation (p < 0.001), tumor density (p = 0.008), air bronchogram (p < 0.001), emphysema (p < 0.001), and location (p = 0.029) were independent prognostic factors. The subgroup analysis demonstrated that pneumonic-type IMA had a significantly worse prognosis than solitary-type IMA. Moreover, for solitary-type IMAs, the most independent CT imaging biomarkers were air bronchogram and emphysema with an adjusted p value less than 0.05; for pneumonic-type IMA, the tumors with mixed consolidation and ground-glass opacity were associated with a longer DFS (adjusted p = 0.012). Conclusion: CT imaging features characteristic of IMA may provide prognostic information and individual risk assessment in addition to the recognized clinical predictors.

        miR-489 suppresses multiple myeloma cells growth through inhibition of LDHA-mediated aerobic glycolysis

        Background Dysregulation of miR-489 in human tumors has been widely reported. Lactate dehydrogenase isoform A (LDHA)-mediated aerobic glycolysis participates in proliferation of multiple myeloma (MM) cells. Objective To investigate whether miR-489 induced MM growth inhibition via targeting to LDHA-mediated aerobic glycolysis. Methods Expression of miR-489 in representative MM cell lines was determined via qRT-PCR (quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction). MTT (3-(4, 5-di methyl thiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-di phenyl tetrazolium bromide) and colony formation assays were utilized to detect cell viability and proliferation. Effect of miR-489 on aerobic glycolysis was detected via glucose uptake, lactate and ATP production. Binding ability between miR-489 and LDHA was conducted via luciferase activity assay. Results MiR-489 was down-regulated in representative MM cell lines. Gain-of functional assays indicated that over-expression of miR-489 decreased cell viability and inhibited cell proliferation of MM cells. Moreover, miR-489 inhibited aerobic glycolysis via decrease of glucose uptake, lactate and ATP production. LDHA was identified as target of miR-489, suggesting a negative correlation between miR-489 and LDHA in MM cells. Mechanically, the inhibition ability of miR-489 on proliferation of MM cells was through inhibition of LDHA-mediated aerobic glycolysis. Conclusions miR-489 inhibited MM tumor growth via LDHA-mediated glycolytic metabolism, suggesting potential therapeutic target ability of miR-489/LDHA for MM.

        Nitrogen self‑doped porous carbon nanosheets derived from azo dye flocs for efficient supercapacitor electrodes

        The present work introduces a new method for the recycling of waste flocculation sludge to prepare electrode materials for supercapacitor. Hazardous azo dye was removal from textile dying wastewater by a new chitosan-based flocculant, and the generated dye sludge flocs was used as a nitrogen-containing precursor for the fabrication of N-doped carbon materials. The influence of azo dye on specific surface areas, nitrogen content, pore evolution of the resulting products and their electrochemical performance were investigated in detail. The results demonstrated a dual role of azo dye worked as both a nitrogen resource and pore-forming agent. The resulting N-doped carbon nanosheets derived from azo dye flocs demonstrated high electrochemical capacitance and good stability for supercapacitor electrode, which is attributed to the unique nitrogen doping, higher specific surface area and efficient charge transfer ability.
