This paper presents the analysis of the analysis of thrust characteristics of linear induction motors(LIMs) according to secondary reaction plate. LIMs are well known as high speed transport systems, which can obtain thrust directly without gears and links, or auxiliary mechanisms. A simple structure, easy maintenance, and less environmental pollution are advantages of LIMs. In transport systems using LIMs, the secondary reaction plate is an important design factor, because it has considerable impact on the cost of the railway as well as the performance of the LIMs. This paper deals analyzed the characteristics of linear induction motor used for moving the vehicle of container scanner. Thrust, efficiency and load characteristic were interpreted with FEM regarding two models whose material of secondary reaction plate was copper and aluminum. It suggested the interpretation of thrust, efficiency and power factor characteristic along slip and compared the operation ability of linear induction motor through characteristics analysis along the load.
12-O-Tetradecanoylphorbol-13-Acetate에 의한 HL-60 세포 분화유도중 Vimentin 유전자 전사조절에 대한 AP-1의 역할

Purpose: To gain insight on the role of AP-1 in transcriptional regulation of vimentin gene during differentiation of HL-60 cells by 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA), the levels of vimentin mRNA and AP-1 have been investigated with Northern blot hybridization and DNA mobility shift assay. Materials and Methods: HL-60 cells were grown in RPMI 1640 medium supplemented with 10% heat-inactivated fetal calf serum and antibiotics in a humidified 5% CO_2 at 37℃. Total RNA was prepared by a modification of the method of Karlinsey et al. Northern blot hybridization was performed by the method of Virca et al. EcoRI fragment of pVIM-GEM was used as probe for vimentin mRNA. DNA mobility shift assay was performed by the method of Lim et al. End labeled DNA probe(Upper strand, 5'-CGCTTGATGAGTCAGCCG- 3') for AP-1 binding activity was mixed with nuclear extracts in a 20 μl reaction volume containing 300 mM KCI, 60 mM HEPES, pH 7.9, 25 mM MgCI_2, 1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT, 60% glycerol, and 2 ㎍ of poly[dI-dC]. Results: TPA increased vimentin mRNA levels, with maximal stimulation reached at 24 hr. The level of vimentin mRNA was induced in proportion to the concentration of TPA. TPA-induced vimentin mRNA was almost reduced by actinomycin-D pretreatment. TPA-induced stimulation of vimentin gene was completely reduced by staurosporin pretreatment. In DNA mobility shift assay, AP-1 newly appeared at 24 hr during TPA-induced differentiation and was almost not detected after the pretreatment of staurosporin. Conclusions: These results suggest that the induction of vimentin mRNA during TPA-dependent differentiation in HL-60 cells may be mediated by protein kinases C signal transduction and AP-1 is important to transcriptional regulation.

There are many advantages and disadvantages under the limited bachelor's admission system. To diminish the demerits and to increase the merits of this system, the authors posed questions to the faculties and students of the Department of Medicine. Chosun University College of Medicine and other colleges in Korea. The questionnaire was made according to trends and feelings in this system. We received a lot of information and suggestions as to how to improve the system, in the following paper we discuss and report the prospective aspects of the bachelor's admission system.

1. The purpose of the study. A number of physically-handicapped students who are in general schools-not schools for defected students often cause inadaptation in the physical activites (or the abilities of sports). The final purpose of this study is to established rational methods of teaching in the physical activities for them after we review the actual conditons and the remarked characteristics of them. For the purpose of this study, 176 persons among the physically-handicapped students who attend 5 Co-Educational-College (University) in Chun Ra Buk Do were selected as the objects of this study. The acquired results throuth the enqueted for Personality Testing and the actual conditions of physical activities for the physically-handicapped students are as followings. 2. The results of the study. 1). The Characteristic of the physically-Handicapped Students is the strong reflectiveness and the strong power of self-control, but non-sociality and non-masculinity. 2). The teaching of physical activities is possible because almost all of them feel no pain in activities. 3). Even the students who have rested themselves or have watched until now try to take part in activities which they can do in fulure, and they desire teacher's positive guiding and encouragement. 4). They have little unsatisfaction with the record but have quite a little unsatisfaction with the exclusion from physical activities. 5). In the types of physical lessons, almost all of the students wish to have lessons in the groups of same events as they hope. 6). The physically-hamdicapped students want the physical activities like ping-pong, archery, swimming, bedminton. shooting. bowling ect, which fit for them in momentum and physical condition, and they want to have these physcal institution.
액체크로마토그래피/질량분석법을 이용한 랫트 혈장내의 Surfactin C의 정량법에 관한 연구

Surfactin isolated from Bacillus subtilis has a strong surface tension-lowering activity, together with antiviral, antitumor, fibrinolytic and hypocholesterolemic activities. LC/MS is a simple, rapid and effective technique for the determination of surfactin C in rat serum. The separation of surfactin was achieved on reverse phase column. The mobile phase consisted of 0.1% trifluoracetic acid in water (A) and acetonitrile (B). As a result of analysis of blank rat serum samples, matrix interference was not shown. The values of precision and accuracy were satisfied w the guideline. A newly developed LC/MS method for the determination of surfactin C was successfully applied in its pharmacokinetic analysis.
家蠶에 寄生하는 Nuclear-Polyhedrosis Virus와 새로운 Microsporidia(Nosema sp. M_12)間의 相互作用

In the application of infectious microorganisms of insects to microbial control the interaction among those pathogens has been considered to be very important factors in causing synergism or intereference. In these respects this research was concentrated on the interaction between the nuclear polyhedrosis virus(NPV) and a newly isolated microsporidia, Nosema sp.(M_12) in the larvae of silkworm, Bombyx mori(L.), including comparisions of their pathogenecity and histopathological symptoms. The interference was observed between the two pathogens were incoculated per os to the second-instar larvae of the silkworm at the same time. In the response of the interaction the degree of interference by was greater than that by the NPV. However, the former pathognn M_12 was not interfered by the challanging NPV while the former NPV was considerably interfered by the challanging M_12 when they were inoculated per os at the intereval of 24 hours at the second-instar larvae. In the histopathological observations the sites of inteference were observed in some tissue like fat body or cell unit though one of the pathogens was dominant in each tissue. From the point of microbial control views it is neither recommendable to use NPV and M_12 at the same time nor the same areas in the case of both pathogens to be used as a microbial insecticide.
DMSⅡ에서의 Audit Trait을 이용한 Crash Recovery

The use of audit trail to provide recovery from failures in database systems is well known. DMSⅡ is a database management system of Burroughs computer system and use the audit trail to crash recovery. This study has surveyed and analyzed the crash recovery using audit trail in DMSⅡ under on-line, Real-time processing environment. The contents of main memory are lost after system crash. The proposed approach to solving the recovery problems using audit trail is based on concept of 'Log write ahead protocol' and characteristic of stable storage with sequential file organization. Some application programs write received message from remote terminal into sequential disk file and request to database management system to process it. After crash recovery by DMS Ⅱ, application program use the logged file to recovery until last transaction in database system.
