Mutations in the RPE65 gene, associated with Leber congenital amaurosis, early-onset severe retinal dystrophy, and retinitispigmentosa, gained growing attention since gene therapy for patients with RPE65-associated retinal dystrophy is available inclinical practice. RPE65 gene accounts for a very small proportion of patients with inherited retinal degeneration, especiallyAsian patients. Because RPE65-associated retinal dystrophy shares common clinical characteristics, such as early-onset severenyctalopia, nystagmus, low vision, and progressive visual field constriction, with retinitis pigmentosa by other geneticmutations, appropriate genetic testing is essential to make a correct diagnosis. Also, fundus abnormalities can be minimal inearly childhood, and the phenotype is highly variable depending on the type of mutations in RPE65-associated retinal dystrophy, which makes a diagnostic difficulty. The aim of this paper is to review the epidemiology of RPE65-associated retinaldystrophy, mutation spectrum, genetic diagnosis, clinical characteristics, and voretigene neparvovec, a gene therapy productfor the treatment of RPE65-related retinal dystrophy.
Quality Indicators in Barrett’s Esophagus: Time to Change the Status Quo
Samuel Han,Sachin Wani 대한소화기내시경학회 2018 Clinical Endoscopy Vol.51 No.4
The push for high quality care in all fields of medicine highlights the importance of establishing and adhering to quality indicators. In response, several gastrointestinal societies have established quality indicators specific to Barrett’s esophagus, which serve to createthresholds for performance while standardizing practice and guiding value-based care. Recent studies, however, have consistentlydemonstrated the lack of adherence to these quality indicators, particularly in surveillance (appropriate utilization of endoscopy andobtaining biopsies using the Seattle protocol) and endoscopic eradication therapy practices. These findings suggest that innovativeinterventions are needed to address these shortcomings in order to deliver high quality care to patients with Barrett’s esophagus.
AI-based Emotional Understanding: Technology Trends and Future Prospects
Samuel Kakuba(사무엘 카쿠바),Dong Seog Han(한동석) 한국통신학회 2024 정보와 통신 Vol.41 No.4
Over the years artificial intelligence(AI) has been applied to improve human interaction with technology. A lot of technological advancements have been proposed to make this a success in several fields including emotion understanding. However, there exist challenges that researchers ought to focus on to industrialize AI-based machine emotion understanding in the current times. In this article, we review technological advancements, trends, and challenges of emotion understanding with a focus on the data used, and deep learning models. We also explain our perspective on the prospects of research on emotion understanding in the future. Our perspective is largely influenced by the fact that current systems are not able to reason and comprehend the detected and recognized emotions for decision-making and empathy. Therefore, we recommend the use of explainable AI to come up with systems that are as empathetic as humans to foster industrialization and comfortable user acceptance of technology.

In Jewish thought, a name is not merely an arbitrary designation nor a random combination of sounds. The name conveys the nature and essence of the thing named. It represents the history and reputation of the being named. For this reason, God's Names, in all of their forms, are treated with enormous respect and reverence in Old Testament We have many Names for God. The most important one of God's Names is the four-letter Name "??"(YHWH). In Old Testament, this Name is used when discussing God's relation with human beings, and when emphasizing his qualities. It is frequently shortened to "??", or "??", especially when used in combination with names of persons, as in Uriah (meaning 'The Lord is my Light.'). However, we should have holistic insight on the name of God according to the will of God in the whole Bible. The name of "??" is only the name manifested by an angel of the Lord, but the name of Jesus is the name manifested by the Son of God. To those who believe in His name He gave the right to become the children of God.
창세기 1:1~2 다시 읽기 : 베뢰아학 성서해석법을 중심으로 Centered on the Biblical Hermeneutics of the Berean Studies
한상식 베뢰아학회 2006 베뢰아논단 Vol.1 No.1
In recent studies, Genesis 1:1~2 has been understood differently from traditional views depicted in the translations such as LXX, Vulgate, KJV, and others. They have showed traditional views on some words or phrases in these verses. Especially, about the syntax of these verses, they have understood these two verses independent. However, some new translations show different views on words and the syntax of the verses. For example, some modern translations see as follow: (1) Gen 1:1 does not say the divine 'creation of nothing.' God may have created the universe out of pre-existing chaotic matter. (2) The expression of rûah ĕlōhîm means the wind of God, not the Holy Spirit. (3) Gen 1:2 is an implicit dependent clause. Confer the syntax of NJPS: Genesis 1:1(dependent sentence), 1:2 (parenthesis sentence), and 1:3 (principal sentence). According to the Picture of God's Will, we Bereans read these initial verses (Gen 1:1~2) that God created the darkness for the sake of the Son of man before the creation of the heaven and the earth (Gen 1:1) and made the universe out of the darkness (Gen 1:3~2:3). According to the Picture of God's Will, we Bereans say that (1) God created the heaven and the earth, that is, the universe, from pre-existing chaotic matter to keep the fallen angels in it, (2) the initial two verses are the exposition of the creation story in Gen 1:1~2:3, and (3) rûah ĕlōhîm means the heavenly being keeping the fallen angels bound in the universe.
Powerful Owners and Powerful Legacies. What Drives Change in the World Rally Championship?
Samuel Tickell,Hans Erik Naess,Tom Evens 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2023 Journal of Global Sport Management Vol.8 No.4
This study seeks to identify the impact of a commercial turning point in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) in 1999 and the 2013 takeover by the current promoter’s media strategies. Drawing upon 21 qualitative interviews with key stakeholders in the WRC coupled with theories of institutional logics, mediatization and strategic legacy, the findings demonstrate that the decisions and culture of the sport can be powerful as the new owners seek to influence the direction of sport in their own image. Sport managers who are dealing with change processes and sport management researchers should identify where an organization’s self-reinforcing mechanisms and processes exist in order to balance sporting tradition with organizational culture.
Ampicillin과 Chloramphenicol 내성 Salmonella typhimurium 분리의 증가
한상순,권오헌,정윤섭,이삼열,정태화 대한미생물학회 1987 大韓微生物學會誌 Vol.22 No.1
Salmonella typhi infection, which was the most frequent enteric infection in Korea, has been decreasing, while the infectian of other serogroups of Salmonella has been increasing since the later part of 1970s. In 1986, the number of serogroup R isolated by us increased to 46, which corresponds 21.1% of all Enteropathogenic bacteria isolated from stool specimens. Salmonella isolates resistant to antimicrobial agents were extremly rare in Korea, in the 1970s. However, 7 of 13 serogroup R isolates showed resistance to ampicillin or to chloramphenicol in 1984. Among the serogroup B isolates in 1986, 71.7% and 69.6% were resistant to ampicillin and to chloramphenicol respectively. The minimum in- hibitory concentrations of ampicillin and chloramphenicol against these isolates were $gt;128 pg/ml apd 128 pg/ml respectively.
