A Novel Publish/Subscribe Tree Construction Algorithm for Wireless Ad-hoc Networks
Hieu Trung Nguyen,Sangyoon Oh 한국정보과학회 2009 한국정보과학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.36 No.1D
In wireless ad-hoc networks, a publish/subscribe system comes up with an event routing if it is distributed. As a point in the discussion, event routing should be efficient enough to drive events from sources to interested users. The existing algorithm SHOPPARENT has exposed how to construct an optimal publish/subscribe tree for routing events. However, there are many cases for improving SHOPPARENT algorithm. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm, CALSIM, which remedies the tree construction in the context that a similarity between subscriptions is the main routing metric.

In this study, the PDVF membranes were fabricated with a La-doped TiO₂ (La-TiO₂) photocatalytic coating in which La element was recovered from the waste fluorescent powder. The process of La element recovery was investigated under different conditions with different acid concentrations. La-TiO₂ photocatalysts were facilely synthesized by the solvothermal method at 80°C followed by thermal sintering at 400°C. The La-TiO₂ photocatalytic membrane fabrication was carried out by dip-coating the polyacrylic acid (PAA) plasma-grafted PVDF membrane into the suspension La-TiO₂. The waste fluorescent powder was characterized by X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) after dissolving in the aqua regia. The La-TiO₂ by Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The La-TiO₂ coated PVDF membrane was used to study the filtration and visible light driven photocatalytic degradation of Reactive Blue 5 solution. The experimental results showed that La-TiO₂ possesses high photocatalytic activity (efficiency of 100% after 6-h irradiation), and the best membrane (La-TiO₂/PAA/PVDF) performance (efficiency of 87%) with the water contact angle of 11.4⁰ was achieved. Thereby, it showed that the La-TiO₂ photocatalytic membranes were successfully fabricated with antifouling, self-cleaning properties.

Daoism was introduced into the South-West of Vietnam via two main entries: the missionaries from North and Central Vietnam who migrated to the South by following the Southward movement and the spread of Daoism by Chinese migrant men who came and settled in the South-West of Vietnam from the late seventieth century to late nineteenth century. However, the biggest influence of Daoism in the Southwest of Vietnam was mainly the Chinese missionaries of Daoism. As time went by, together with the impacts of social and historical circumstances, Daoism had a strong influence on the lives of the South-West people in terms of different aspects, especially their faith and religions. The impact of Daoism into people's faith and religion was considerable, especially to the indigenous religions, of which the religion, Four Debts of Gratitude, is a representative example. With the aims of clarifying how Four Debts of Gratitude was influenced by Daoist thought and how the indigenous religions and systemized ideologies in the South-West of Vietnam were related during the period of living condition expansion as well as cohabitation of several ethnic groups in the region, this article focuses on Daoist thought expressed in typical symbols in the sacred architecture of the Four Debts of Gratitude such as Cổ Lầu, wine gourds, and the Eight Trigrams. Once properly examined, it becomes clear that the prominent symbols and other Daoist elements show that Daoism had a profound influence on the Four Debts of Gratitude.

In this paper, a very simple procedure was presented for the reproducible synthesis of large-area SnO2nanowires (NWs) on a silicon substrate by evaporating Sn powders at temperatures of 700, 750, and 800 ℃. As-obtained SnO2 NWs were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM),transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectroscopy. They revealed that the morphology of the NWs is affected by growth temperature and the SnO2 NWs are single-crystalline tetragonal. The band gap of the NWs is in the range of 4.2–4.3 eV as determined from UV/visible absorption. The NWs show stable photoluminescence with an emission peak centered at around 620 nm at room-temperature. The sensors fabricated from the SnO2 NWs synthesized at 700 ℃ exhibited good response to LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) at an operating temperature of 400 ℃.
Synthesis of Perfluoroalkyl Alcohol, 3-(Perfluorooctyl)propan-2-ol, Using Two-Step Alcoholization
Nguyen, Trung Hieu,Tae, Beom-Seok,Park, Jun-Seo,Lee, Kwang-Nam Korean Chemical Society 2012 대한화학회지 Vol.56 No.5
3-(Perfluorooctyl)propan-2-ol was synthesized using an alcoholization process. The synthesis consisted of two steps: (1) addition of the olefin propylene to perfluorooctyl iodide to yield the corresponding iodo-adduct perfluorooctyl propyl iodide and (2) hydrolysis of the adduct reacted with water and dimethylformamide to yield the final product. The adduct and product were analyzed using gas chromatography to determine the yield and purity. The optimal conditions for each step of the process were determined, and a 93% yield of adduct and 95% yield of final product was achieved.
Measurement Technique of Ozone Density by Using UV Sensor System
Nguyen Huu Trung,Le Van Men,Nguyen Van Hieu 한국전기전자학회 2015 전기전자학회논문지 Vol.19 No.1
There are many studies and products using a test paper impregnated with chemical solution can react with ozone. The color of a test paper can indicate the concentration of ozone. The purpose of this research is to design and manufacture a system using ultraviolet light source to measure the ozone density. This new technique is based on the characteristic of decomposition from ozone into oxygen under ultraviolet light. We used two sources of ultraviolet light including UV lamp and UVLED to determine the decomposition of ozone. This system is built with the electronic components, sensors and sealed pump tube to measure the ozone density in units of g / cm3,ppm,ppb.Inthispaper,, we present some initial results of measuring the ozone density from ozone generator after completing inspection for safety.
The study of shape of electrodes and I-V characteristics for Ultraviolet LED
Trung, Nguyen Huu,Dang, Vu The,Hieu, Nguyen Van Institute of Korean Electrical and Electronics Eng 2013 전기전자학회논문지 Vol.17 No.3
About functional parameters of a LED/UVLED (Light Emitting Diode/Ultra Violet LED), one of the most important parameters is the I-V characteristic. By researching factors affect to the I-V characteristic of uvled, we found that beside of the structure of the device itself, there is the influence of the electrode materials, electrode shapes, the process of wiring and packaging. In this work, we want to improve the performance of UVLED to find out the optimal mask design principles. The study is based on theoretical mathematical models, as well as the use of simulation software tool Comsol. From all results obtained, the team has improved mask design to manufacture electrodes for GaN-based UVLED. Electrode masks are designed by three softwares, which are Intellisuite, Klayout and AutoCad. Intellisuite masks would be used in fabrication simulation while Klayout and AutoCad are used to fabricate electrodes in experiments. As well as, we silmulated the structure of an uvled 355nm emission wavelength by TCAD software, in order to compare with uvled sample that has the same emission wavelength.
