        Metastasis to the thyroid gland is usually considered uncommon. The most frequent sites of the primary tumor include the kidney, breast and lung. Its presence often indicates poor prognosis. Metastases represent the advanced stage of the tumors and fine needle aspiration cytology is and important way of diagnosis in thyroid metastasis. we experienced a case of Metastatic Small cell Lung Carcinoma to the Thyroid Gland. A 58-year-old man with Graves' disease diagnosed pulmonary nodule in the left upper lung field on his chest X-ray film. The patient's thyroid gland was diffusely swollen, and elastic to hard. A thyroid ultrasonography showed 1cm sized hypodense nodule on the left thyroid gland. The patient underwent a ultrasonography guided fine needle aspiration cytology of the mass. Cytological diagnosis was a metastatic small cell carcinoma. Then Chemotherapy was administered to the patient. The authors report this rare case of metastatic small cell lung carcinoma to the thyroid with literature review.

        이염화망간을 투여한 흰쥐의 조직중 망간과 Malondialdehyde간의 관계

        목 적 : 이 염화망간을 투여한 백쥐를 이용하여 망간이 유의하게 축적된 장기와, 장기내 망간과 MDA의 상관관계로서 세포내 지질과산화반응을 평가하였다. 방 법 : 생후 6주, 체중 200∼250 g의 수컷 횐쥐(Sprague-Dawley) 12마리에게 이염화망간(MgCl2)을 4 mg/kg 농도로 한달간 복강내 주사하고, 동일 조건의 횐쥐 9마리에게 생리식염수를 1ml씩 한달간 복강내 주사하였다. 혈액, 뇌, 간, 비장, 췌장, 콩팥을 채취한 뒤, 각 조직중의 망간농도와 malondialdehyde를 정 량하였다. 결 과 : 망간의 농도가 대조군에 비해 유의하게 높았던 조직은 혈장, 뇌, 췌장 및 간장이 였다. 대조군에 비해 실험군에서 조직중 malondialdehyde 농도가 유의하게 높았던 조직은 혈액, 뇌, 췌장이 였다. 대조군에 비해 망간농도와 MBA농도가 모두 유의하게 높았던 혈장, 뇌, 췌장중의 두 변수간에는 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 결 론 : 이상의 결과 고농도의 망간을 투여한 경우 뇌, 췌장에 특이하게 망간이 축적되며, 이들 장기에서 지질과산화반응이 촉진되어 그 최종 대사산물인 MDA의 농도가 증가한다는 결론을 얻었다. Objectives : This research was intended to investigate the relationship between manganese and malodndialdehyde concentration in tissues of rats exposed to maganele chloride. Methods : The study groups were 12 manganese treated rats and 9 control rats. Manganese treated rats were given intraperitoneally manganese chloride (Mn2+, 4 mg/kg) daily for a period of 30 days except Sunday. Control rats were i운ected 1ml of saline. The plasma manganese concentrations of rats were determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The tissue manganese concentration was determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Malondialdehyde, the product of lipid peroxidation was determined by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry. The plasma malondialdehyde was determined by gas chromatography with mass-detector. Protein concentration was quantified by ultraviolet-visible spectrometry and was used for the compensation of tissue malondialdehyde and manganese concentration. Results : Manganese concentrations of plasma, brawn, liver, and pancreas were very significantly higher in the manganese-treated rats than in the control rats. Malondialdehyde concentration of plasma, brain, and pacrease were significantly higher In the manganese-treated rats than in the control rats. The concentration of malondialdehyde was correlated with manganese levels in plasma, brain and pancreas. Conclusion : Based on the results obtained as above, it was concluded that the matrondialdehyde, product of lipid peroxidation was related to the cell death due to dosing excess manganese.

        The experimental forest of Chungnam National University is located in Naryung-Ri, Eunsan-Myen, Buyeo-Gun, Chungcheongnamdo. The climax vegetations of Quercus species grown in central temperate zone are supposed to be destroyed before pure pine stands as a semi-climax vegetation are established on the southern aspect and along the ridges. Variability of vegetations is rather high and dominant species are such as Pinus densiflora, Quercus acutissima, Quercus variabilis, Quercus aliena, Quercus serrata, Lindera erythrocarpa, Platycarya strobilacea, and so on. There are 203 woody plants and 128 herbal plants. According to the use of vegetations they can be classified as follows; 60 familia and 154 species for edible source, 63 familia and 143 species for medicinal, 51 familia and 140 species for forage, 32 familia and 78 species for ornamental, and 12 familia and 27 species for timber source.

      • 畓裏作 麥類 機械收穫方法 確立에 關한 硏究 : Ⅲ. 團地條件에 따른 콤바인 作業精度와 收穫粒의 品位에 關하여 Ⅲ. Combine Harvesting Workability and Grain Quality under Different Harvesting Field Conditions

        올밀의 栽培圃場에서 콤바인收穫當時의 栽培條件을 달리하여 作業能率, 損失量, 穀粒品位등을 檢討하였던바 그 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 콤바인을 利用할 경우 出穗後 44日頃이 收穫適期에 해당되나 乾燥劑를 處理하면 慣行區의 收穫適期(40日)까지 앞당길 수 있었다. 2. 콤바인收穫區는 慣行收穫區에 비하여 收穫作業時間이 85%절감되었으나 收穫損失率은 4.2%(26-31kg/10a)를 보여 4倍까지 增加되었다. 특히 雜草放任區와 아침刈取區에서 損失量이 현저하였다. 3. 콤바인收穫區는 慣行收穫區에 비하여 5%程度, 倒伏區, 아침刈取區, 乾燥劑處理區는 各各의 對照區에 비하여 2∼4% 減收되는 경향이었다. 4. 미탈부율은 콤바인 收穫區에서 2%미만을 보여 慣行收穫區의 5.7%보다 양호하였으며 특히 雜草放任區(3.8%)와 아침刈取區(4.5%)에서 높아 穀粒의 品位가 低下되었다. 5. 雜草放任區의 減收率은 12%로서 生育初期의 둑새풀(9%)과 生育後期의 갈퀴덩굴(3%)에 起因하는 것으로 분석되었다. This experiment was conducted to determine the effects of different harvesting field conditions on the working ability of Combine and the loss and quality of wheat grain. Harvesting working time by Combine required for only 15 percentage of conventional conduct, but grain loss marked 26-31 kg/10a and it was as much as forth times against conventional conduct. However grain yield by Combine harvesting only reduced by 5% as compared to conventional, but there was no statistical significant. And grain quality was good because the fine grain degree has over 98%.

      • 복합식 히트펌프 설계를 위한 액체건조제 제습기의 성능 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

        A liquid desiccant for hybrid heat pump system undergoes various influences by several working factor. This paper presents the study of six options in related with the dehumidification rate and efficiency absorption in the dehumidification system. The effect of operating variables such as inlet solution concentration, inlet solution flow rate, inlet solution temperature, inlet air flow rate, inlet air temperature, and brine temperature was analyzed. The experimental dehumidifier has been designed to study the dehumidi- fication characteristics of the aqueous triethylene glycol(TEG) system. The performance characteristics of the absorption dehumidification system can be used effectively to save energy by reducing latent heat load. The result of this experiment can provide useful data for hybrid air conditioning system.

        이 논문의 주제는 시스템의 두 DC 모터의 동기화를 위한 효과적인 PWM 듀티비 조절이다. 퍼지 제어기는 많은 불확실하고 복잡한 산업 공정에 성공적으로 적용되어왔다. 그래서 만약 목표지점의 길이가 다르다면 속도 조절을 위한 PWM 듀티비 조절을 위해 언어적인 퍼지 규칙을 이용한 퍼지 제어기를 적용했다. 그리고 미지의 플랜트를 위한 퍼지 제어기법을 이용한 미지의 변환 함수 시스템을 연구했다. 이 제어기는 시스템 동기화를 위한 PWM 듀티비 제어에 성공적으로 적용되어지고 있다. The subject of this paper is to control efficient PWM duty for two DC motor synchronousness in the system. Fuzzy controller have been successfully applied to many uncertain and complex industrial plant. So, It adapted fuzzy controller using compositional fuzzy rule so that change PWM duty for speed control if the length of destination is different. And for unknow plant, it is the study to make the unknow transfer function system with fuzzy control method. This controller has been successfully applied to PWM duty control for the system synchronousness.

        Total parenteral nutrition is commonly known as a safe and convenient method of nutritional supplemantation for malnourished patients. Several metabolic complications have been adquately studied and reported their diagnosis and management. There was, however, no precisional data and studies of vitamin B1 deficiecy induced Wernicke's encephalopathy. And Wernicke's encephalopathy may be difficult to recognize, expecially if it is in the early stage and if all manifestation s are not yet present, and because a patients with Wernicke's encephalopathy may become comatose and die if the disorder is not diagnosed and vitamin B1 not given promptly. Therefore Wernicke's encephalopathy is emergent. We report a case of Wernicke-Korsakoff encephalopathy that was caused by vitamin B1 deficiency

        Polymer insulating materials are widely used in power distribution and transmission systems for their good dielectric properties, light weight, low cost, and good contamination performance. Tracking is one of the biggest problems to be overcome in polymer insulating materials. The alumina trihydrate(ATH) is widely used as a filler for improve the tracking performance of silicone rubber. In this paper, we have investigated the influence of surface treatment of fillers on the tracking performance of silicone insulator using the IEC 587 tracking test method.
