        Measuring Harbor Management, Stevedoring and Warehousing Performance of Taiwanese Container Ports Using the Multi-activity Network DEA Model

        This paper presents an alternative approach to evaluating the overall efficiency and performance of Taiwanese container ports. Specifically, a parallel activity with series structure concept in the form of data envelopment analysis (MNDEA) is used to construct a model that applies to three different activities: harbor management, stevedoring and warehousing operations. We will further divide each activity into two process types, production processes and services processes. We will also adopt a Delphi survey approach and use the Analytic Network Process (ANP) to identify these processes’influence dependence and their degree of importance for the MNDEA model setting. An empirical application demonstrates the performance of Taiwanese container ports by using MNDEA with window analysis techniques via the directional distance function.The results demonstrate that the application is effective in indicating and/or suggesting resource-adjustments, while considering which undesirable output levels and shared inputs were involved. The results also present directions for possible improvements in workplace efficiency.

Recent changes in the stress of college students have been conducted in previous studies have been reported. Therefore, this study of college students, such as the stress applied to meridian massage if there is any effect on the EEG to investigate the research was conducted. students learn how stress affects meridian massage, etc. to see the applied stress and the EEG for brain activity (EEG, Electroencephalogram) changes in the Telescan (LXE5208) program was conducted through the analysis, the study to identify P University to students once a week for four weeks were conducted over. EEG changes apply Meridian Massage Meridian massage group four names applied to the control group analyzed the results of five measurements are as follows One. Verification conducted by the results of the stress difference (p <.001). Two. Relaxation / arousal differences conducted verification results (p <.001). Three. Verification conducted by differences in brain activation results (p <.001). In this study, the brain activity meridian massage, stress reduction, or to help solve that is considered in giving. Meridian Massage future through a wide range of research is done, the future for various alternative medical treatments in order to be activated more and more research is needed. 경락마사지는 동양에서 수천년 동안 이어져 온 전통 대체의학의 한 분류이다. 경락마사지가 인체에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 가에 대한 연구를 통해 대학생의 스트레스를 해소하고 경락마사지가 뇌파에 어떻게 영향을 주는 지에 대한 새로운 접근을 시도함으로서 앞으로 동양의학이 웰빙문화시대에 건강과 행복을 줄 수 있는 학문적인 다양한 노력과 함께 일상생활에서 유용하게 응용되고 사용될 수 있는 건강치유법으로 이용될 수 있는가에 대하여 알아보았다. 그리고 더 나아가 앞으로 경락마사지가 복잡한 현대생활의 스트레스에 시달리고 있는 청소년들에게 도움을 줄 수 있다고 사료된다.

        Hydrodynamics of multi-sized particles in stable regime of a swirling bed

        Using particle imaging velocimetry (PIV), we observed particle motion within the stable operating regime of a swirling fluidized bed with an annular blade distributor. This paper presents velocity profiles of particle flow in an effort to determine effects from blade angle, particle size and shape and bed weight on characteristics of a swirling fluidized bed. Generally, particle velocity increased with airflow rate and shallow bed height, but decreased with bed weight. A 3o increase in blade angle reduced particle velocity by approximately 18%. In addition, particle shape, size and bed weight affected various characteristics of the swirling regime. Swirling began soon after incipience in the form of a supra-linear curve, which is the characteristic of a swirling regime. The relationship between particle and gas velocities enabled us to predict heat and mass transfer rates between gas and particles.

      • Facile preparation of superhydrophobic thin films using non-aligned carbon nanotubes

        A simple preparation method on creating superhydrophobic surface using non-aligned carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was demonstrated. Superhydrophobic CNT thin films were prepared by doping a sonicated mixture of CNTs and chloroform onto a glass slide. Water contact angles of the CNT thin films were measured using a contact angle goniometer. The thin films were characterized using laser microscope and scanning electron microscope. Experimental results revealed that the highest average contact angle of $162{\pm}2^{\circ}$ was achieved when the films' thickness was $1.628{\mu}m$. The superhydrophobic surface was stable as the contact angle only receded from $162{\pm}2$ to $157{\pm}2^{\circ}$ after 10 min under normal atmospheric condition.

        대구지역 오피스 빌딩의 임대료 결정요인에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 대구지역 오피스 빌딩의 특성을 통해 임대료에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 오피스 빌딩의 특성을 고려한 가격 및 임대료 결정요인을 분석하여 전체 오피스 시장 상황을 살펴보고 선행연구에서 나타난 요인과 비교하여 시장 상황의 변화를 알아보았다. 대구지역의 오피스 빌딩의 임대료에 영향을 미치는 요인은 경과연수, 주 도로접면, 용도지역, 전용률로 나타났다. 오피스 빌딩의 물리적 특성에서 용적률과 전용률이, 입지적 특성에서는 주도로의 접면길이가 유의한 것으로 나타났으며 법적 특성에서는 용도지역이 유의한 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence rent using the characteristics of office buildings in the Daegu area. We analyzed the determinants of prices and rents that take into account the characteristics of office buildings, looked at the overall office market situation, and compared it with the factors shown in previous studies to examine changes in market conditions. Factors affecting the rent of office buildings in the Daegu area were useful life, main road faying surface, restricted area, and coverage rate. From the physical characteristics of the office building, the floor area ratio and coverage rate were significant, and the locational characteristics were significantly led by road faying surface, and the legal characteristics were significant in the area of ​​use.

        단위분수에 대한 초등학교 3학년 학생들의 이해 분석 : 지도 맥락과 시각적 표현의 관점에서

        Despite the significance of fraction in elementary mathematics education, it is not easy to teach it meaningfully in connection with real life in Korea. This study aims to investigate and analyze 3rd grade students’ understanding on unit fraction concepts and on comparison of unit fractions and to identify the parts which need to be supplemented in relation to unit fraction. For these purposes, I reviewed previous studies and extracted chapters which cover unit fractions in elementary mathematics textbooks based on 2009 revised curriculums and analyzed teaching contexts and visual representations of unit fractions. From this point of view, I constructed a test which consists of three problems based on Chval et al(2013) to investigate students’ understanding on unit fraction. To apply this test, I selected forty-one 3rd grade students and examined that students’ aspects of understanding on unit fraction. The results were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. In this study, I present the analysis results and provide implications and some didactical suggestions for teaching contexts and visual representations of unit fraction based on the discussion.

        Floristic inventory of vascular plant in Nam Ha National Biodiversity Conservation Area, Lao People's Democratic Republic

        The floristic inventory of vascular plants in Nam Ha National Biodiversity Conservation Area was conducted to understand the plant diversity in the northern area of Lao People's Democratic Republic. From the joint field surveys between Korean and Laos experts conducted during 2015–2017, it was found that there are 64 families, 145 genera, and 189 species distributed in the Nam Ba National Biodiversity Conservation Area, and a total of 56 families, 117 genera, and 148 species which comprise more than 78% of the total species were identified as endemic plants to the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Considering the usage of the plants, there are 91 species of medicinal plants, 33 species of ornamental plants, eight species of edible plants, and 16 species of economic plants. In addition, it was found out that Dalbergia balansae and Cinnamomum macrocarpum are categorized as vulnerable in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red list, and 13 more species are categorized as the least concern.

        3~5세 연령별 누리과정과 교사용 지도서의 연계 분석 -"수학적 탐구하기" 를 중심으로-

        본 연구는 누리과정의 수학적 탐구하기와 그에 따른 교사용 지도서의 연계성을 양방향으로 분석하여 향후 누리과정 개정 및 교사용 지도서 집필, 수정을 위한 시사점을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석 대상은 3~5세 연령별 누리과정에 따른 교사용 지도서 32권이며, 분석틀은 누리과정의 수학적 탐구하기의 세부 내용을 상세화, 구체화한 재구성 성취기준이다. 분석 내용은 누리과정 재구성 성취기준이 교사용 지도서에 모두 구현되었는지, 그 역방향으로 교사용 지도서의 수학 관련 활동이 재구성 성취기준의 범위를 벗어나지 않는지에 대한 분석의 두 가지이다. 각각에 대한 분석 결과를 제시하고, 그에 기초한 논의로부터 누리과정 개정 및 교사용 지도서 개발을 위한 시사점을 제안하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 누리과정 재구성 성취기준 중 교사용 지도서에 적절히 구현되지 못한 요소가 발견되었으므로 이에 대한 조치가 요구되며, 교사용 지도서 집필시 누리과정의 의도를 명확히 전달할 수 있도록 누리과정 세부 내용의 구체화와 세분화를 제안한다. 또한 누리과정에서 제시한 연령과 일치하지 않는 다수의 지도서 활동은 교사용 지도서 집필시 연령별 발달 단계에 맞게 구성한 누리과정의 의도를 고려할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교사용 지도서의 수학 관련 활동 중 누리과정을 벗어난 내용에 대해서는 유아의 수준을 고려한 검토를 제안한다. 셋째, 교사용 지도서의 수학 관련 활동 집필시 유아교육의 바탕이 되는 놀이 활동에 대한 심도 있는 고찰이 필요하다. 넷째, 누리과정 개정 및 교사용 지도서 집필시 다루는 대상이나 표현상의 일관성을 보완할 것을 제안한다. 다섯째, 교사용 지도서 활동의 유치원, 어린이집 적용을 통한 누리과정에의 피드백을 고려할 것이 요구된다. This study aims to suggest some didactical implications for revising curriculum for early childhood and its manuals based on the analysis on connection of Nuri curriculum for ages 3 to 5 and its manuals for teachers in the perspective of mathematics education. The methodology of this study is a kind of critical analysis of literature. We reviewed the domain which is called ‘mathematical exploration’ of Nuri curriculum and reconstructed its sub-contents for analyzing the manuals for teachers. We renamed them ‘reconstructed achievement criteria’ as a framework of analysis and applied them to analyze 32 manuals for teachers of Nuri curriculum for ages 3 to 5. The results of analyses show that there are a lot of poor connections between Nuri curriculum and its manuals for teachers. Therefore this study includes several suggestions based on the results. Firstly, considering poor connections between Nuri curriculum and its manuals for teachers, we have to take proper steps for the relevant elements. We also suggest refinement and actualization of sub-contents of Nuri curriculum. Secondly, math-related activities of the manuals for teachers which are beyond the range of Nuri curriculum need examinations in relation to the cognitive levels of young children. Thirdly, the disagreement of ages between Nuri curriculum and its manuals for teachers suggests that writers need to consider intentions of Nuri curriculum in relation to young children’s developmental phases when they write the manuals for teachers. Fourthly, we notice the needs for supplementing consistency of concepts or representations when revising Nuri curriculum and its manuals. Finally, we had better take a feedback from specific application of the manuals for teachers to many children.
