As mentioned above, I have acquired some valuable results about medical treatment with acupuncture and Moxibustion of " Flank pain" after studying oriental medical books . The results Were like below: 1. Medical treatment with acupunctures of Flank pain belonged to the Urinary Bladder Meridian of Foot Taiyang, the Liver Meridian of Foot Jueyin, the Gall Bladder Meridian of Foot Shaoyang. 2. Medical treatmcnt with acupunctures of Flank pain used to Yang-laung-chan(陽陵泉), Gi-gu(支溝), Gi-mun(期門), Kan-su(肝兪) in turn. 3. Medical treatment with Ear acupunctures of Flank pain used to Dam(膽), Sin-Mun(神門), Gan(肝)in turn 4. Acupuncture point of Flank pain were lowrer limb part. chest and abdominal part, back part in turn. 5. Medical treatment with Moxibustion of Flank pain was the most Jang-mun(章門)

Trigger point를 利用한 口眼괘斜 患者 10例에 대한 臨床的 考察

From July 1th 2001 to October 31th 2001, the Clinical investigation studies were carried out 10 cases of patient with Bell's palsy using Trigger point treatment group, who had been treated in Han-seung Oriental Medical Clinic. The results were like below : 1. The distribution of sex : Male were 4cases, female were 6case and the female to male ratio was 1.5 : 1. 2. The distribution of contributing factor : Unknown reason was most predominant 4 cases, and then were revealed to labor too hard, menttal stress(3 cases), trauma·common cold(1 case) in turn. 3. The distribution of perid to fall ill : Under a week was the most number 6cases, and then were revealed a week under two weeks(3 cases), over two weeks(1 case) in turn. 4. About period of treatment : The Trigger point treatment group is shorter than the Acupuncture treatment group. 5. The distribution of grade on admission in descending order : GrⅠ was the most number and then GrⅡ, GrⅢ in turn. 6. The distribution of clinical symptoms on adimission : Mastoid pain was the most number 9 cases and then lacrimal gland disorder 8 cases, dysgeusia 4 cases, hyperacusis 2 cases, the others 2 cases in turn. 7. About effect of treatment : The Trigger point treatment group is more excellent than the Acupuncture treatment group. 8. The more patient age is young, the more effect of treatment was excellent, had nothing to do with both groups. 9. The more perid to fall ill is short, the more effect of treatment was excellent, had nothing to do with both groups. 10. About period of improved frontal belly : The Trigger point treatment group is more excellent than the Acupuncture treatment group.

For the purpose of investigating the positive rate of rubella antibody and sero-conversion rate after rubella vaccination, 863 high school students of the two regions were studied from April 21st, 1996 to September 20th, 1996. The main results were as follows; 1. Positive rate of IgG in male was higher than in female, and the rate of IgM was also higher in male than in female. 2. Positive rate of IgG by blood type was similar, but positive rate of IgM was higher in AB type than the others. 3. Positive rate of IgG by vaccination was similar to all groups, but positive rate of IgM was higher in which was not vaccinated group. 4. Positive rate of IgG and IgM, having vaccination card, was less than which was not having vaccination card. 5. Those who were vaccinated acquired IgG(+) regardless of an existence of IgG antibody, and 28.3% of IgG(-), IgM(+) male who was not vaccinated became IgM(+), IgG(+) after 3months later. As a result positive rate of male was higher than female. The author conclude that vaccination is necessary to prevent from rubella for them.

Background/Aims: We investigated the frequency of occult hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV)-positive individuals and the effects of occult HBV infection on the severity of liver disease. Methods: Seventy-one hepatitis B virus surface-antigen (HBsAg)-negative patients were divided according to their HBV serological status into groups A (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs negative; n=18), B (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs positive; n=34), and C (anti-HBc negative, anti-HBs positive/negative; n=19), and by anti-HCV positivity (anti-HCV positive; n=32 vs. anti-HCV negative; n=39). Liver biopsy samples were taken, and HBV DNA was quantified by real-time PCR. Results: Intrahepatic HBV DNA was detected in 32.4% (23/71) of the entire cohort, and HBV DNA levels were invariably low in the different groups. Occult HBV infection was detected more frequently in the anti-HBc-positive patients. Intrahepatic HBV DNA was detected in 28.1% (9/32) of the anti-HCV-positive and 35.9% (14/39) of the anti-HCV-negative subjects. The HCV genotype did not affect the detection rate of intrahepatic HBV DNA. In anti-HCV-positive cases, occult HBV infection did not affect liver disease severity. Conclusions: Low levels of intrahepatic HBV DNA were detected frequently in both HBsAg-negative and anti-HCV-positive cases. However, the frequency of occult HBV infection was not affected by the presence of hepatitis C, and occult HBV infection did not have a significant effect on the disease severity of hepatitis C. Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

한국에서 동물간호사제도의 필요성과 자격시험에 대한 분석 및 평가

The study examined qualification test of the 1st term Animal Nurse Technician and conducted questionnaire survey as well as site investigation to settle Animal Nurse Technician system in Korea. The objects were undergraduates, graduates and director of animal hospital. 115 applicants applied to the qualification test of animal specialists, and 50 applicants passed the test to record 43.47% of ratio of successful applicants. The subjects having relative difficulty were anatomy physiology and public hygiene to record 19 points in average: In particular, the anatomy physiology recorded 35 points of the highest score and 6 points of the lowest score to have the highest deviation and to require adjustment of difficulties. 89.2% of the interviewee supported needs of animal nurse technician system in Korea to show positive response. At the survey of actual conditions of recruitment of animal nurse technicians at animal hospitals, 28.6% of the interviewee was employing the technicians, and 35.7% had employment plan, and 32.1% wanted to employ them under good conditions. In other words, 96 4% of the interviewee responded positively, while no more than 3.6% did negatively. In Korea, the animal nurse technicians had roles as follows: The animal hospitals gave priority to reception service and customer controls followed by medical examination support,whilethecollegesdidtomedicalexaminationsupport. To differentiate hospitals in accordance with the increase of number of animal hospitals, the animal hospitals should employ animal nurse technicians having specialty and qualifications on animal nurse technician examination. In particular, the roles and demand of animal nurse technicians were expected to grow because of developed technologies of veterinary medical science, development of medical supplies and instrument, and the increase of aged animals, etc. Therefore, job analysis on animal nurse technicians should be done to adjust the subjects of qualification test and to develop questions.

미생물 성장 특성에 기초한 독립영양탈질의 화학양론식 연구

It is necessary to supply external carbon source for enhancement of biological nitrogen removal from domestic wastewater with low influent C/N ratio. Sulfide was chosen as a cost effective electron donor and reaction stoichiometry for autotrophic denitrification was investigated by conducting bench-scale experiments in this study. Higher sulfur to nitrogen (S/N) ratio than the calculated value from theoretical reaction stoichiometry was required when the anoxic reactor was operated at open condition because dissolved oxygen introduced by surface aeration reacted with sulfide with ease. In addition, higher sulfate production and lower yield of microorganism could be observed under the same condition. It was possible to obtain reliable reaction stoichiometry for autotrophic denitrification by establishing pure anoxic condition. Linear relationship between bacterial growth and consumption of nitrate, sulfide, alkalinity, and sulfate production enabled to derive a relatively correct reaction stoichiometry for autotrophic denitrification when sulfide was used as an electron donor.

정전분무를 이용한 MOCVD에 의해 증착된 TiO_2 박막의 특성 연구

정전분무(electrostatic spray)를 이용한 MOCVD방법은 원료를 함유하는 용액을 이용함으로써 이송관의 가열이 필요 없이 장치를 간단하게 할 수 있고, 용액의 유량과 전기장의 세기에 따라 초미세 입자제어도 가능하며, 출발 용액으로부터 박막의 조성을 조절할 수 있는 등의 여러 가지 특징을 가지고 있다. 온도가 증가함에 따라 입자성장과 반응가스에 의한 표면의 밀도가 감소하여 표면조도가 증가하였다. 증착 시간이 증가함에 따라 막의 두께는 증가하지만, 증착시간이 지날수록 +전하를 띤 액적들은 이미 생성된 막의 영향으로 -가 인가된 기판으로의 전하이동을 방해받으므로 island성장과 모세관현상의 표면형상은 거칠고, porous해졌다. 인가전압이 증가할수록 분무시 액적의 사이즈가 작아지므로 막의 표면은 치밀해졌으며, 표면에는 완전분무하지 못한 모액적에 의해 생긴 입자의 수도 적은 경향을 보였다. 산소 분말이 증가할수록 Ti와 O의 세기는 증가하나, C의 세기는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. The electrostatic spray assisted MOCVD has the advantages of simple apparatus without the gas lines, easy control of nano-sized droplets by applied voltage and solution rates and easy control of compositions of thin films by controlling the composition of starting solution. At lower deposition temperatures the morphology of the layers are less porous and rough. With increasing deposition time and thus increasing layer thickness the morphologies of the layers are shift to porous top layer with dense bottom layer and then porous top layer with big sized grain of bottom layer as the result of low growth rates. XPS can be seen that Ti and O intensity increases but C intensity decreses with increasing O_2 flow rates.
