The purpose of the research is determination of the substrate removal efficiencies and sludge productions in complex dyeing wastewater treatment using the Fixed/Submerged Moving Media Complete Mixing Activated sludge(CMAS) process. Laboratory scale CMAS reactors were operated with the organic loading rates from 0.38 to 1.07㎏BOD/㎥/day. The sludge productions were similar in both the fixed and submerged moving media systems. During operating periods the sludge was removed periodically in fixed media system, yet not removed in submerged moving media.
SDS-PAGE를 이용한 우리나라 벼 유전자원의 저장단백질 특성평가

벼 종실의 단백질 함량 및 조성은 식미에서 매우 중요한 형질로서, 우리나라 벼 유전자원의 종실 단백질 조성의 특성을 평가하고자 재래종 벼 390점, 샤레 46점 및 앵미 105점을 공시하여 SDS-PAGE방법으로 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 우리나라 벼 유전자원의 단백질 패턴은 60kD 및 13kD의 단배질 분포에 따라 총 24개형으로 구분되었다. 2. 저장 단백질 중 60kD의 밴드패턴에 의한 분석에 의하면 앵미 및 샤레벼의 63%, 재래종의 91%, 육성종 100%가 진한 밴드패턴을 보였다. 3. 저장단백질 13kD밴드의 패턴에 의해 6가지 형태로 구분되었으며, 대부분의 accessions은 13kD-a 및 13kD-b사이에 추가적인 밴드가 관찰되었다. Protein contents and their composition are very important in controlling rice quality. A total of 633 rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties/lines consisting of 390 landraces, 46 Share and 105 Red rice weedy type collection, and 92 improved varieties were analyzed for endosperm storage protein evaluation using single seed of each accession. Proteins were separated by the Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). The 24 different types were developed based on the polypeptide banding patterns of 60kD and 13kD proteins. In the 60kD polypeptide banding pattern, almost 63% of Red rice and Share collection showed thick band intensity, while 91.1% of landraces and 100% of improved varieties had weak band intensity. Six types were discriminated at the near 13kD polypeptide by the intensity and migration mode. Most of accessions had two bands at prolamin of 13kD-a and 13kD-b, but one band was detected between 13kD-a and 13kD-b of the 21 accessions of the Red rice collection and five improved varieties.
Anodonta woodiana hukudai MODELL의 生活史에 關한 硏究

The life cycle of fresh water bivalve, Anodonta woodiana hukudaz, was investigated at the tributary of the Dongjin River, Buan-Kun, Chunlabuk-Do from September 1978 to August 1979. 1. A woodiana hukudai was one of the summer breeders, whose breeding phenomenon was observed from February to August, 1979. The highest rate of Its breeding was observed in June. 2. Fish species infected with glochidia of A. woodiana hukudai were Oryzias latipes, Carassius carassius, Morco oxycephalus, Pseudoperilampus uyekii, and Zacco platypus. The most common species infected with glochidia was O. latipes. 3. The highest rate of infection with glochidia was observed on O. latipes from June 5 to June 20, 1979. Its infection rate was 20.4- 32.1 %. 4. Most glochidia of A. woodiana hukudai were found on the pectoral 2nd caudal fin of O.latipes. The average number of glochidia was 3.1 per fish

This analytical investigations was carried out to study on the characteristics of municipal solid wastes generated from various sources in Taegu city. In order to do this, the bulk of two or three days refuses was collected from Taegok landfill site in Taegu city, and seperated to respectively measure in ten kinds of compositions, such as papers, garbage, plastics, wood, briquette ash, etc., by hand-sorting. Furthermore each sample was analyzed to find out the physical properties such as moisture content, combustible material content, ignition residue and heat values.

The purpose of this study were to compare the lumbar extensor strength between laser discectomy and Non-Op patients group in HIVD before and after 12weeks training. To evaluate lumbar extensor strength of total 60 patients with HIVD, Lumbar extensor strength was measured in 20 PELD patient group. 20 OLM patient group, and 20 Non operation patient group by Medx lumbar extension machine(PELD: Percutaneus Endoscope Laser Discectomy, OLM: Open Laser Microscope). Training was conducted twice per week for 12wks and consisted of one set of 15-18 repetitions of Variable resistance lumbar extension until volitional fatigue. After 12weeks in male, Maximum voluntary lumbar extension strength was appear rate of increase 65.57% in PELD group, 51.68% in OLM group, and 70.93% in Non-op group. After 12weedks in female, appear rate of increase 61.90% in PELD group, 55.41% in OLM group, and 78.54% in Non-op group. In 3 group, Male lumbar extension strength was no statistically significant difference (P>.05). Female was statistically significant(P<.05). Male group was appear lower than Male Norms(P<.05 and female group was appear similar to and higher than Female Norms(p<.05). Lumbar flex/ext ratio of the three group was 2.48:1 pre-training and 1.558"1 post-training in lumbar flexion 72 and 0 degree. The ration of post-training was lesser than before training.

For the effective management of industrial wastes, it is necessary to evaluate these characteristics. This analytical investigations were carried out to study on the characteristics of industrial wastes in Taegu and Kyungpook region. In order to carry out this study, the basic data were collected from Ministry of Environment, a Statistical Yearbook of Korea, and the Taegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The conclusions from this study are as follows: 1) Total number of generation companies and generation quantity of industrial wastes were 2, 199 and 7,599,913 ton/year (about 20,822 ton/day) respectively. Among them, specified and general wastes were 3.1% and 96.9% respectively. 2) The self-disposal, commission disposal and storage for industrial wastes were 56.9%, 411.1% and 2.0% respectively. 3) The future generation quantity of industrial wastes was calculated with the future production rate of generation companies. In 2005, the generation quantities of industral wastes are 16,970,832 ton/year, and the disposal requirement are 12,646,259 ton/year.

This study was conducted to show the possibility of application of anaerobic digestion process in low temperature. Laboratory single-stage anaerobic digester was operated at 15 to 80 days' HRT at the temperature of 15℃, 20℃, 25℃ and 35℃. The results of this study indicated that the organic removal efficiencies and gas productions were remarkably decreased in low temperature. Despite of the low organic loading of 0.67 ㎏-COD/㎥·day at 15℃ the gas production was very poor as 0.16㎥CH_4/㎏COD removed. The observed maximum F/Mv ratio which would get the organic removal efficiencies of 70% and 60% respectively at the temperature of 20℃ and 15℃ were 0.1 ㎏COD/㎏MLVS·day. The substrate removal rates(Km) had a tendency to become larger at higher temperature, and were critical at the temperature of 20 to 25℃.
