        화장품소재로서 곽향 추출물 및 발효물의 생리활성 연구

        Agastachis herba is so similar in use to herbs that it is called Korea Mint in the West. Western herbs are commonly used as ingredients in cosmetics. However, in Korea, Agastachis herba is primarily used as a medicinal herb. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of one cosmetic ingredient with another cosmetic ingredient. Antioxidant, whitening, polyphenol, flavonoid, and antibacterial experiments were conducted on lactobacillus, yeast ferments, essential oils, and floral water using extracts from Agastachis herba. Antioxidants exhibited significant effects in all samples, while essential oils displayed the highest efficacy in terms of whitening, polyphenol content, and antibacterial properties. Flavonoids exhibited the strongest effect in the 70% ethanol extract. The essential oil had the most significant functional impact. However, it was confirmed that the fermented products that underwent yeast fermentation with extracts were as effective as essential oils.

        국제반건조열대작물연구소의 농업유전자원 보존 및 관리

        The aim of this report is to understand the status and management of genetic resources on ICRISAT(International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics) to promote exchange of germplasm and information. ICRISAT genebank at Patancheru, India has the responsibility to collect, conserve, characterize, document and distribute the genetic resources. Also, ICRISAT has performed the estimation of environment tolerance, disease resistance, and functional compounds of genetic resources. ICRISAT has assembled more than 120,000 accessions of chickpea, groundnut, pigeonpea, pearl millet, sorghum, and six small millets. Since 1974 to 2008, ICRISAT provided 1,350,000 accessions with 144 countries to develop new cultivars. The provision pattern of genetic resources in ICRISAT showed that more than 80 % of each crop by the total holdings resources had been offered and that it is the direction of the ideal conserve and management of genetic resources. To evaluate their genetic resources (chickpea, groundnut, pigeonpea, pearl millet, sorghum, and six small millets), they made descritors for each crop and investigated their germplasms. This report would be meaningful to understand utilization and effect of the germplasms to be held at ICRISAT.

        양파(Allium cepa L.) 유전자원의 Flavonol 배당체 조성 및 함량

        Flavonols as a major kind of plant secondarymetabolites are known for health-promoting compounds inonions (Allium cepa L.). The objectives of this study areto determine profiles of flavonol glycosides in different 75onion accessions. A total of five flavonols (quercetin 3,4'-diglucoside, Q34'diG; quercetin 3-glucoside, Q3G; quercetin4'-glucoside, Q4'G; isorhamnetin 4'-glucoside, I4'G; quercetin,Q) were identified from onion accessions. In positive ionmode using LC-ESI-MS, individual flavonols were confirmedfrom one and two glycosylation binding with aglycone suchas quercetin and isorhamnetin. Total flavonol contents weredistributed in white onion (range of 0.18-6.47 mg/g DW) andpurple onion accessions (range of 2.39-6.47 mg/g), respectively. The mean of flavonol contents in purple onion (4.41 mg/g)showed 1.4-fold higher than white onion (3.23 mg/g). TheQ34'diG and Q4'G were considered as the major compoundsof flavonol glycosides in onion accessions

        Forsterite 소지에서 Zirconia 거동에 관한 연구

        This study consists of two powder preparation process. One is that the synthesized Forsterite at 1400$^{\circ}C$ mixed with Zirconia powder. Another, theoretical Forsterite composition mixed with Zirconia. These two Forsterite bodies were heat-treated at 1400$^{\circ}C$, 1450$^{\circ}C$. Synthesized Foresterite composition showed higher density, strength than Forsterite composite which was directly mixed with Zirconia KIC value was measured by Microhardness Indentation method. It shows the highest value when 15 weight percent Zirconia dispersed.

        우리나라 재래종 벼 유전자원의 미질관련 특성

        농촌진흥청 농업유전자원센터에 보존되고 있는 우리나라 재래종 벼 유전자원 중 선발된 394품종의 미질과 관련된 특 성을 분석하고 상호관계에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 단백질 함량은 5.2~9.9%까지 다양한 분포를 보였고, Mg함량은 12.7 mg에서 37.7 mg까지의 넓은 범위의 분포를 보였으며, K함량 또한 60.0 mg에서 125.9 mg 까지의 넓은 범위의 분포를 나타냈고, 차진정도의 지 표로 사용되는 Mg/K 비율은 일품벼보다 높게 분포하 였다. 2. 쌀의 차진정도를 결정하는 주된 인자이며 미질을 나타 내는 척도의 하나인 아밀로스 함량은 현재 우리나라 밥쌀용 수도 장려품종들이 대체로 18~20% 수준에 있는데 비하여 재래종 유전자원에서 메벼의 범위가 12.4~28.9%였고 18~20% 범위에 있는 품종은 144 품종이었다. 3. KOH에 의한 알카리붕괴도는 0.0~7.0까지 분포하였는 데 일품벼의 6.4와 유사한 품종이 95품종이었다. 4. Toyo 식미계를 이용한 식미 검정에서 현재 양식미 품 종으로 평가받고 있는 일품벼와 유사한 품종이 16품 종이고, 우리나라 사람들이 양식미로 선호하는 호화온 도가 낮고 Toyo 식미치가 높은 품종은 IT 173444번, 008530번, IT 006554번이 대표적 이었다. This study was conducted to make clustering analysis based on major physicochemical characteristics related to palatability of 394 Korean rice land-races. The items investigated were protein content, Mg content, K content, Mg/K ratio, Toyo-taste value, ADV (alkali digestion value) and amylose content. The range of the physicochemical characteristics such as amylose, protein, magnesium, potassium was from 12.4 to 28.9%, from 5.2 to 9.9%, from 12.7 to 37.7 mg and from 60.0 to 125.9 mg, respectively. In this experiment, the grain quality, properties significantly associated with the estimates of Toyo taste meter, were protein and amylose contents and hot viscosity. Also, at the expected taste as a cooking rice, using Toyo taste meter, a total 16 accessions were selected as good taste as “Ilpumbyeo”. Also, IT173444, IT008530 and IT006554 were selected as remarkable sources for the cooking rice, in terms of gelatinated temperature and Toyo taste meter value.

        최근 중국 종자산업의 현황 및 발전 전망

        China is a one of the largest agricultural countries in the world. China consumes around 12.5 billion kilograms of seeds each year. Suchhuge demand for seeds has made the Chinese seed market more and more attractive for investment. Through analysis on the present situation and existing problems of the seed industry in China and based on the current Chinese seed industry development, some future prospects for investments are indicated. This investigation was carried out to propose the appropriate strategies on the development of the Korea seed industry as it considers its entry into the China seed market as a new growth engine in the agricultural sector. The basic law regulating the Chinese seed industry is the PRC Seed Law that generally refers to the protection of germplasm resources, verification of varieties, seed quality issues, the import and export of seeds, seed administrative management, and various rights and obligations. The regulations were aimed at the protection of the rights concerning new varieties of plants. China has two main industry associations, the National Seed Association and the China Seed Industry IP Union, that are non-profit associations consisting of entities and people engagin in the seed scientific research, production, operation and management. The China National Seed Group Co., Ltd. (“Sino Seeds”) is the market leader in China regarding the seed industry. The chinese government, however, encourages investment from multinational companies as well as importation of modern crop planting management technologies and equipment. It supports the entry of investors with proven experiences in breeding and germplasm resources expansion and R&D. There has never been a better time for multinational companies with proven seed industry experience to look at building relationships with the Chinese government and enterprises.
