      • 개질 아스팔트 콘트리트의 변형 특성 연구

        본 연구는 개질 아스팔트 콘크리트의 변형 저항성을 규명하기 위한 연구로써 국내산 2가지 폴리머(LDPE, SBS)를 이용하여 아스팔트를 개질하고, 3가지 골재(편마암, 화강암, 폐석회암)를 이용하여 아스팔트 콘크리트 혼합물을 제조하여 정하중 하에서 마샬안정도, 간접인장강도를 측정하였다. 그리고 동하중하에서 반복주행(wheel tracking)시험 및 간접인장 피로시험을 수행하고 그에 따른 변형특성을 측정하였다. 두가지 폴리머는 모두 3가지 골재 혼합물의 마샬안정도 및 간접인장강도 향상에 효과적이었다. 그리고 반복주행시험을 통한 소성변형 저항성 측정결과 두 폴리머 모두 편마암과 화강암 골재 아스팔트 콘크리트에서는 매우 우수하게 나타났으나 폐석회암 골재에서는 그 효과가 매우 적었다. 간접인장피로시험 결과도 반복주행시험 결과와 매우 유사하게 나타났다. 따라서 두 폴리머 개질 아스팔트 콘크리트는 특정골재를 제외하고는 모두 변형저항성이 우수하여 포장의 기대수명 향상에 크게 기여할 것으로 보여진다. This study was carried out to evaluate deformation characteristics of modified asphalt concretes. Marshall properties and indirect tensile strength (ITS) were measured on the modified asphalt concretes which were prepared using two polymers (LDPE and SBS) and three aggregates (gneiss, granite and waste limestone). Wheel tracking test and indirect tensile fatigue test were carried out to measure deformation resistance under repeated loading. Two polymers were effective on improving Marshall properties and indirect tensile strength under static loading. Wheel tracking resistance test results showed that two polymers in gneiss and granite aggregates mixtures were highly effective on improving rut resistance, while those in waste limestone aggregate mixture were not much effective. Indirect tensile fatigue test results showed very much similar to the results of wheel tracking test. Therefore, the two polymer asphalt concrete except for a particular aggregate had excellent deformation resistance characteristics, and it is expected that this will contribute to improvement of expected service life of asphalt pavements.

        IR, UV 그리고 EPR 분석을 통해 〔R_4N〕_2 〔M(NCX)_4〕 (이 때, R=CH_3^+, C_2H_5^+; M=Cd Cu, Zn, X=O, S) 화합물의 착이온에서 중심 금속이 N과 결합하고 있는지 아니면 O, S와 결합하고 있는지를 연구했다. 위의 모든 화합물은 금속이 N과 결합된 것으로 규명되었다. Cd(Ⅱ)과 Cu(Ⅱ) 화합물은 일그러진 정사면체 구조에 의해 C-N, C-S 신축진동수의 분리를 보였다. IR 스펙트럼에서 〔(C_2H_5)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕는 단일선의 C-N 신축진동수를 보인 반면, 〔(CH_3)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕는 일그러진 정사면체 구조에 기인한 이중선을 보였다. 〔(C_2H_5)_4N〕_2 〔(Cu(NCS)_4〕는 d-d 전이로 판단되는 넓은 전자흡수띠가 438nm 근처에서 관찰된 반면, 〔(CH_3)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕는 d-d전이에 의한 흡수띠가 관찰되지 않았다. 5% Cu(Ⅱ)이 혼입된 〔(C_2H_5)_4N〕_2 〔Cd(NCS)_4〕의 EPR 스펙트럼은 비등방성 구조를 지녔으나, 〔(CH_3)_4N〕_2 〔Cd(NCS)_4〕는 비등방성 뿐만 아니라 정규적인 정사면체 구조의 증거인 등방성을 상온에까지 지녔다. IR, UV and EPR spectra of the compounds whose formulas are 〔R_4N〕_2 〔M(NCX)_4〕, where R=CH_3^+, C_2H_5^+ and M=Cd, Cu, Zn;X=O, S have been studied in order to investigate whether the isocyanato, thiocyanato group is bonded to the central metal through the nitrogen atop or through the sulfur, oxygen atom in those complex ions. All above complexes showed that the metal is linked through the nitrogen atom. It was turned out to be that. the splitting in C-N and C-S stretching frequencies of Cd(Ⅱ) and Cu(Ⅱ) compounds is due to the distorted tetrahedral structure of those compounds. While IR spectrum of 〔(C_2H_5)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕 showed singlet C-N stretching frequency, 〔(CH_3)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕 showed doublet which indicates that the compound has a distorted tetrahedral structure. 〔(C_2H_5)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕 was observed to have a broad electronic absorption band near 438 nm which originates from d-d transition. On the other hand, 〔(CH_3)_4N〕_2 〔Cu(NCS)_4〕 did not show an absorption band due to d-d transition. EPR. spectrum of Cu(Ⅱ) doped 〔(C_2H_5)_4N〕_2 〔Cd(NCS)_4〕 showed anisotropic structure and 〔(CH_3)_4N〕_2 〔Cd(NCS)_4〕 showed both anisotropic and isotropic structure even at room temperature which is an evidence of regular tetrahedral structure.

        Juvenile polyp, also known as a retention polyp because they contain mucin cysts, is a relatively common hamartomatous lesion in chlidhood. It occurs in 1-2% of children and young adults; however it is uncommon in adulthood. Juvenile polyp is rare in the first year of life and is thus presumed to be acquired and not congenital. It is pedunculated, 2-3 cm in size, red-tan in colour, smooth and always shows fluid filled cystic spaces on cut surface. Histologically, Juvenile polyps are hamartomatous with distended, mucus-filled glands, often with cystic dilatation and edematous lamina propria containing abundant vasculature. The most common manifestation is rectal bleeding produced by auto-amputation of the polyp. Juvenile polyp has been considered not to be at increased risk of developing carcinoma. However, atypical epithelium is observed in some lesions, especially in larger polyps, which may give rise to adenoma and subsequent malignant transformation. Therefore the diagnosis of solitary juvenile polyp should not be made only with colonoscopy and biopsy, but should be totally resected endoscopically for pathologic evaluation. About 90% of the lesions are solitary and localized within 20cm from anal verge. In Korea, there are some reports of juvenile polyps located in the rectosigmoid colon. We report one case of juvenile polyp in adolescent that presented as a hematochezia & abdominal pain, which is located at right colon.

        Abuse Potential of Synthetic Cannabinoids: AM-1248, CB-13, and PB-22

        Currently, the expanding recreational use of synthetic cannabinoids (SCBs) threatens public health. SCBs produce psychoactive effects similar to those of tetrahydrocannabinol, the main component of cannabis, and additionally induce unexpected pharmacological side effects. SCBs are falsely advertised as legal and safe, but in reality, SCB abuse has been reported to cause acute intoxication and addictive disorders. However, because of the lack of scientific evidence to elucidate their dangerous pharmacological effects, SCBs are weakly regulated and continue to circulate in illegal drug markets. In the present study, the intravenous self-administration (IVSA) paradigm was used to evaluate the abuse potential of three SCBs (AM-1248, CB-13, and PB-22) in rats. All three SCBs maintained IVSA with a large number of infusions and active lever presses, demonstrating their reinforcing effects. The increase of active lever presses was particularly significant during the early IVSA sessions, indicating the reinforcementenhancing effects of the SCBs (AM-1248 and CB-13). The number of inactive lever presses was significantly higher in the SCB groups (AM-1248 and CB-13) than that in the vehicle group, indicating their impulsive effects. In summary, these results demonstrated that SCBs have distinct pharmacological properties and abuse potential.

        아이스하키 공격수와 수비수간의 체성분, 체격, 체력별 수준 및 등속성 회전력에 대한 비교연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in physique, physical fitness and isokinetic strength of Forward(FW=10) and Defense(DF=9) in Korean professional ice hockey players. The subjects selected for this study were composed of nineteen male professional ice hockey players. They didn`t have any previous medical or physical problems. They were measured physique, body composition, physical fitness and isokinetic knee strength test. All of data were analyzed utilizing independent t-test by SPSS 10.0. The level of statistical significance was set at p<.05. On the basis of the results analyzed in this study, the conclusion was as follow: 1. The variables of body composition were no significant differences between ice hockey FW players and DF players. 2. In physique variables, the height of ice hockey DF players was significant higher than FW players and remainders of physique variables were no significant differences between both groups. 3. The level of physical fitness variables were no significant differences between ice hockey FW players and DF players. 4. In knee isokinetic strength test, the peak torques of flexor and extensor in a left knee joint of ice hockey between DF and FW players were not significant different, but the peak torques of flexor and extensor in a right knee joint of ice hockey DF players were significantly higher than those of FW players. In conclusion, ice hockey players have the difference in physique and isokinetic knee strength between FW and DF players. Therefore, it is very important that the player should be trained up considering their characteristics according to the players` position.

        EPR Investigation on a Quantitative Analysis of Eu(II) and Eu(III) in LiCl/KCl Eutectic Molten Salt

        EPR spectroscopic technique was applied for a quantitative analysis of Eu(II) for a speciation of europium in a LiCl-KCl eutectic melt. By adopting the first absorption line of each isotopes (151Eu and 153Eu), a calibration plot was obtained. The calibration of the EPR intensity shows a good linearity according to the amount of Eu(II). The EPR intensity was identified to increase proportionally with a decrease of the attenuation parameter for EPR microwave power. The fluorescence technique was used qualitatively to find whether either of Eu(II) or Eu(III) ions exists in a molten salt sample. The ICP-AES technique was also adopted to determine the total concentration of europium in the sample, since EPR is only sensitive for detecting the Eu(II) ion. The extent of the reduction of Eu(III) in the LiCl-KCl eutectic melt at 723 K was determined by using this technique.

        Effect of cross-linking agent and heteropolyacid (HPA) contents on physicochemical characteristics of covalently cross-linked sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone)/HPAs composite membranes for water electrolysis

        In order to improve the mechanical properties while maintaining electrochemical characteristics,engineering plastic of poly(ether ether ketone) as polymer matrix was sulfonated and the organic–inorganic blend composite membranes was prepared by loading 20–50% of HPAs, including tungstophosphoric acid (TPA), molybdophosphoric acid (MoPA) and tungstosilicic acid (TSiA). And then, these composite membranes were covalently cross-linked with the variation of 0.005–0.015 mL of cross linking agent contents (CL-SPEEK/HPA). Also, the characteristics of membrane electrolyte assembly (MEA) were measured in polymer electrolyte membrane electrolysis (PEME) cells. Although crosslinking decreased the number of sulfonic acid groups available for proton transfer in the membrane, the addition of cross-linking agent and HPAs significantly improved the mechanical and electrochemical properties of the membrane. Consequently, the optimum conditions of CL-SPEEK/HPAs with 0.01 mL of cross-linking agent content were established and electrochemical characteristics, such as ion conductivity, was in the order of magnitude: CL-SPEEK/TPA30 (30 wt%) < CL-SPEEK/MoPA40 < CL-SPEEK/TSiA30 and mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength: Nafion117 < CL-SPEEK/TSiA30 < CL-SPEEK/MoPA40 < CL-SPEEK/TPA30. With increasing cross-linking agent content, tensile strength increased and ion conductivity decreased. CL-SPEEK/MoPA40 showed the best electrocatalytic activity of cell voltage 1.71 V at 80 8C among the prepared composite membranes. However, in consideration of high water content, low antioxidative property and weak mechanical properties of CL-SPEEK/MoPA40 and CL-SPEEK/TSiA30membranes, in spite of its high proton conductivity and electrocatalytic activity, it is expected that the CL-SPEEK/TPA30 (1.75 V) was suitable as an alternative membrane in large scale polymer electrolyte membrane electrolysis system. The dual effect of higher proton conductivity and electrocatalytic activity with the addition of HPAs, causes a synergy effect.

        Determination of Boron Isotopic Ratio by Using an Alpha Track Technique

        The determination of the boron isotopic ratio in solutions was achieved by means of a solid state track detector by using an alpha track. The neutron flux was optimized by using a Cd-foil to find the optimum conditions for counting the number of alpha tracks on the selected solid detector caused by the (n, a) nuclear reaction of boron. The home-made multi-dot detector plate was utilized in this study to increase the reproducibility of the measurement by uniformly drying the boron solution within the marked circle area on the detector plate. The experimental results of this study verified that the 11B/10B isotopic ratio can be measured by observing the number of alpha tracks for different concentrated standard solutions with various isotopic compositions. This technique was applied to the determination of 10B enrichment factor in a biological sample for a boron neutron capture therapy.
