        Multiplex PCR Detection for 3 Events of Genetically Modified Maize, DAS-59122-7, TC6275, and MIR604

        A multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was developed to simultaneously detect 3 events of genetically modified (GM) maize. The event-specific primers were used to discriminate the following 3 events of GM maize (DAS-59122-7, TC6275, and MIR604) using multiplex PCR method. The zein gene was used as an endogenous maize reference gene in the multiplex PCR detection. The primer pair Zein-F/R producing a 99 bp amplicon was used to amplify the zein gene. The primer JI-Das-F1/R1 for DAS-59122-7, JI-TC6275-F3/R3 for TC6275, and JI-MIR F1/R1 for MIR604 yielded an amplicon of 130, 162, and 197 bp, respectively. The detection limit of multiplex PCR was 1% for DAS-59122-7, TC6275, and MIR604 for one reaction.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitude difference toward the school uniform, it was supposed that clothing acceptance was differentiated according to subjects. The subjects were grouped by 3 types which were students, teachers(school governors) and parents groups. The results were as follows; 1. Boy students reguired the more freedom of clothing than girls. 2. Teachers and parents groups considered that clothing affected student's behavior and self-esteem. 3. The acceptance of school plain dress was affected by atomosphere of home and school. 4. According to socioeconomic levels, there were differences in clothing acceptance and fashion acceptance.

        This study attempted to determine the degree of asbestos release from the aging slate roof by comparing the asbestos content in the slate roof rain gutter with a colored steel plate (tin plate) over the slate roof. Four slate roof houses located in Haengmok-ri, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, and one house constructed with a colored steel plate on the slate roof were selected to collect the sediment of the roof rain gutter. The asbestos fiber content was calculated by a point counting method using a polarization microscope after pretreatment with conversion treatment and hydrochloric acid treatment. The average asbestos content of the four slate roof rain gutter were 1.89%. However, asbestos was not detected in the Slate covering roof rain gutter, which were constructed on the slate roof. Asbestos fiber content was the highest at 2.89% in the slate roof rain gutter installed in 1976, followed by 2.44% in 1953. From the above results, it is necessary to minimize secondary damage as asbestos fibers released from slate roof houses to the surrounding atmosphere or leaked from slate roofs as rainwater may cause soil pollution and seriously affect residents' health. Although covering with colored steel plates (tin plates) has been shown to prevent the leakage of asbestos fibers to some extent, it is believed that a policy alternative to remove the slate roof as soon as possible is needed to solve the fundamental problem.

      • 여수국가산업단지 인근 지역 대기오염물질 농도에 영향을 미치는 요인분석

        Eight monitoring stations in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex will determine the concentration of air pollutants measured every hour in 2019, analyze what factors affect them, and how they correlate with the air pollutant measurements. Six air pollutants (SO2, NO2, O3, CO, PM-10 and PM-2.5) measured at eight monitoring stations around Yeosu National Industrial Complex (Seogang-dong, Wolnae-dong, Munsu-dong, Yeocheon-dong, Deokchung-dong, Hwayang-myeon, Yulchon-myeon, Samil-dong) the measurement data for each hour of the year were downloaded to analyze the concentration by weather condition, time zone, season, separation distance from Yeosu Industrial Complex, and separation distance from Gwangyang Industrial Complex. SO2, NO2, and CO concentrations were significantly higher in winter, significantly lower in summer, and O3, PM-10, and PM-2.5 concentrations were significantly higher in spring. SO2, CO, PM-10, and PM-2.5 concentrations were significantly higher between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., NO2 concentrations were significantly higher between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., and O3 concentrations were significantly higher between 13 p.m. and 15 p.m.(p<0.001). The concentration of air pollutants (SO2, NO2, CO, PM-10, PM-2.5) excluding O3 was found to have a negative (-) correlation with weather condition, and in the case of O3, it was found to have a positive (+) correlation with PM-10, PM-2.5, temperature and wind speed. It was confirmed that the concentration of air pollutants emitted from the Yeosu National Industrial Complex differs depending on the season, time and distance to the industrial complex. This study aims to establish measures to minimize health damage to residents living relatively close to the industrial complex and contribute to the establishment of management and response measures according to the properties of substances to reduce the concentration of air pollutants in the future.

        The acclamation for free marriage and free love was an important constituent of the process of attempting to construct the institutional emotion and family structure newly modeling the modern western romantic love. Until the late 1910s, the idea of free marriage and free love was too strongly tied with the ideology of enlightenment, thus only part of the meaning, the freedom to choose a marital partner, was stressed. Moreover, marriage was strongly tied up with the will to devote toward the nation, so choosing a marital partner was on the will to be a good people for the nation rather than on natural feeling of love. Free love started to be described in its genuine meaning from the works of Kim Tongin and his colleagues of the literary magazine "Creation", though the meaning of it was still unstable and on the way of changing. "The Sorrow of the Weak" showed the inauthenticity of the concept of free love by describing a woman's inner inconsistence and the ordeals that happened in her life while she aspired to romantic love. Kim, the author, showed the leftovers of pre-modern ethic inside a woman of the time who was seeking modern life and revealed the abstractness of her admiration for romantic love. We can find the contradiction between pre-modern and modern love ethics and the conflict between physical and spiritual love in the protagonist's interior. The falsehood, disorganization, and inversion of love revealed by Elizabeth while she was chasing after romantic love and modern life were not different from the falsehood, disorganization, and inversion of the idea of free love of the period itself. This reflects one of the colonial characteristics of Korean modernization that was considered as the most urgent and transcendental aim by many Korean enlighteners of the day.

      • 수학 학습 부진아의 인식 및 학습 실태 연구

        본 연구는 수학교과의 학습에 방해가 되고 있는 요인을 조사·분석함으로써 학생들의 수학 교과에 대한 부적응 상황을 진단하여 학생들의 수학 부진을 줄이고 나아가 교수-학습 개선에 도움을 주고자 하는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5학년을 대상으로 우선 수학 학습 부진 학생들의 인식을 조사, 분석하였다. 또한 수학 학습 부진아를 지도할 때 학생들이 어려워하는 학습 내용을 사전에 파악하는 것이 학습부진을 줄일 수 있는 중요한 수단으로 보고 4학년 수학 단원 평가를 실시하여 이들이 어떤 내용을 잘 이해하지 못하는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과 수학 학습 부진 학생들은 수학 교과에 대해 부정적으로 생각하고 있었으며, 이들이 어려워하는 수학 내용은 다단계 사고를 요하는 개념, 논리적 연역적으로 추론을 요하는 개념, 문제해결이었다. 그 중에서도 특히 사고를 요하는 문제해결을 어려워하는 것으로 나타났다. This study sets out to investigate underachieved fifth graders in mathematics in terms of the understanding and learning state of mathematics and to help mathematics underachievers by providing make-up class. Thus we need to investigate the following: 1. An understanding of mathematics for underachieved students. 2. A research of the learning contents that the students have difficulties to deal with. For this study we first select 20 underachieved students(12 boys and 8 girls) in mathematics attending an elementary school located in Busan and then a questionnaire is distributed to see their understanding of mathematics. In addition, their performances are evaluated by using a checklist. The questionnaire contains total 30 items and each frequency and percentage are analyzed. The checklist contains 10 items of the contents of 4-Ga and 4-Na respectively. textbooks, The frequency and percentage are also analyzed. We have the following conclusion on mathematics underachievers. First, since they have a negative opinion of the subject, we need to increase the chances of their successful experiences so that they have their confidence and positive attitudes. Second, we should try to teach basic learning contents at the beginning of each unit thoroughly and focus on advanced learning contents gradually by intensifying and reinforcing the contents. Third, it is more desirable to give them suitable assignments they can handle rather than to force to teach advanced contents. An evaluation should be given every time after finishing a unit, and the results should be informed to students. And make-up class should be given if necessary.

        Muscle fatigue is a symptom that decreases your muscles’ ability to perform over time. It can be associated with a state of exhaustion, often following excessive sports activity or exercise. While exercise is a common cause of muscle fatigue, this symptom can be the result of other health conditions. Muscle fatigue caused by excessive activity limits activities of daily living and difficult to maintain a stable posture. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stretching, icing, and sports massage on muscle fatigue recovery.

        An analysis on the load-bearing capacity of floor frame and body structure is investigated by the three dimensional rigid frame analysis. The load-bearing capacity of the body structure is estimated on the basis of comparison to the floor-frame-only structure. The location and magnitude of the maximum displacement are also determined and show good agreement with those of a previous study.In the present study the load-bearing capacity of the floor frame of van-type structures is about 80 percent of the total loadings.

      • 텔레매틱스용 광대역 LNA 설계 및 제작

        In this paper, the wideband low noise amplifier for telematics terminals is proposed. In order to stabilize the input and output VSWR and minimize the noise level over wide frequency ranges, the balanced configuration and double open-stub matching circuit are adaptive. And to obtain high gain over 30dB, two amplifiers composed of MGA-86563 PHEMT are connected in cascade. From the results, the proposed low noise amplifier has flat gain over 0.8-2.6GHz, low VSWR and minimum noise figure in the desired bandwidth. Total gain of LNA is 35dB and noise figure and VSWR are 2.5dB and 1.3, respectively.
