Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

본 논문에서는 신호의 분리와 합성이 가능한 Diplexer를 제작하였다. 저역 통과 여파기와 고역 통과 여파기의 특성을 정합하여 Diplexer로 구현함으로써 신호의 분리와 합성이 가능하다는 것을 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다. 또한 신호의 분리와 합성의 가능성을 입증하기 위해 실제 마이크로스트립구조의 Diplexer를 제작, 측정한 결과 각각의 통과 대역폭 내에서 0.4dB, 0.8dB이내의 삽입손실과 -20dB의 반사손실이 됨을 실험결과를 통해 알수 있었고 또한, 인덕터의 구현 방법을 마이크로스트립으로 하여 주파수 특성과 재현성을 높였다.

Background/Aims: While distal radial artery (DRA) access is increasingly being used for diagnostic coronary angiography, limited information is available regarding DRA size. We aimed to determine the DRA reference diameters of Korean patients and identify the predictors of DRA diameter < 2.3 mm. Methods: The outer bilateral DRA diameters were assessed using a linear ultrasound probe in 1,162 consecutive patients who underwent transthoracic echocardiography. The DRA diameter was measured by the perpendicular angle in the dorsum of the hand, and the average values were compared by sex. DRA diameter < 2.3 mm was defined as unsuitable for routine diagnostic coronary angiography using a 5 Fr introducer sheath. Results: The mean DRA diameters were 2.31 ± 0.43 mm (right) and 2.35 ± 0.45 mm (left). The DRA was smaller in women than men (right: 2.15 ± 0.38 mm vs. 2.43 ± 0.44 mm, p < 0.001; left: 2.18 ± 0.39 mm vs. 2.47 ± 0.45 mm, p < 0.001). The DRA diameter was approximately 20% smaller than the radial artery diameter. A total of 630 (54.2%) and 574 (49.4%) patients had DRA diameter < 2.3 mm in the right and left hands, respectively. Female sex, low body mass index (BMI), and low body surface area (BSA) were significant predictors of DRA diameter < 2.3 mm. Conclusions: We provided reference DRA diameters for Korean patients. Approximately 50% of the studied patients had DRA diameter < 2.3 mm. Female sex, low BMI, and low BSA remained significant predictors of DRA diameter < 2.3 mm.

Nickel-calcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite catalysts have recently been reported to exhibit high activity and selectivity in partial oxidation of methane (POM). In this work the optimum composition was determined. The optimum mole ratio of Ca/PO₄ was around 10/6 and that of Ni/PO₄ was in a range from 1.0/6 to 3.0/6 with the optimum Ca/PO₄, and the activity could be related with the amount of metallic nickel. In a temperature range from ca.400 to 700K, an apparent autothermal reaction was observed to occur in some cases. This is due to the fact that the actual catalyst temperature is higher than the measured temperature, which comes from the exothermic nature of the reaction. The mixing sequence of the precursors during the catalyst preparation does little affect the catalyst activity and characteristics. Deactivation of the catalyst occurred slowly, but the catalyst could easily be regenerated. Moreover, the nickel-calcium phosphate/hydroxyapatite catalyst showed higher activity than the nickel-strontium phosphate catalyst.

A nickel-strontium phosphate catalyst was recently reported to exhibit high activity and selectivity in partial oxidation of methane(POM). Further characterizations hane been performed in the present work in order to better understand the characterizations of this catalyst. TEM showed that very fine nickel particles of a few nanometers of the size were present in the needle shape in the sample after the reaction. TPR showed the presence of three nickel species, reduced during the reaction. As the calcination time during the preparation increased, the total re-oxidation temperature became higher. This is considered due to larger crystallite size owing to the longer calcination, which results in a smaller amount of nickel coming out of the matrix to the surface.
충돌 하중에 의해 손상 받은 RC보의 휨 거동에 대한 실험적 연구

이 연구는 충돌 하중에 의해 손상받은 구조물의 잔류 거동을 평가하기 위해 저속 충돌 하중을 받은 RC보에 대해 정적 휨 실험을 수행하였다. 충돌 하중에 의한 RC보의 손상은 정적 휨 성능에서는 큰 영향을 미치지 않았지만, 보의 휨 강성과 변위 연성도를 크게 저하시켰다. 이는 과도한 처짐과 취성파괴를 유발할 수 있기 때문에 충돌 하중에 의해 손상 받은 부재의 적절한 보강 방법에 대한 제시와 관련 후속 연구가 필요하다. This study conducted static flexural test on impact-damaged RC beam to evaluate the residual behavior. Damage to RC beams due to impact loads did not have significant effect on static flexural capacity, but significantly reduced flexural stiffness and displacement ductility of beams. This can cause excessive deflection and brittle failure of damaged beam. Therefore further studies are required to suggest a proper reinforcing method for impact-damaged beam.
