Breeding of Tetraploid in Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq.)A. DC. by Colchicine treatment

Present studies were carried out to produce tetraploid plants by colchicine treatment using seeds, seedlings and shoot tips of Platycodon grandiflorum in Campanulaceae. The most successful colchicine treatment for tetraploid production in P. grandiflorum was soaking treatment using 0.01 and 0.5% colchicine solution for 1 hour and 12 hours, respectively. Morphological characteristics of both diploid and tetraploid were similar, but tetraploid plants had more leaves. Compared to diploid, tetraploid had the larger stomata, but less number of stomata. Fresh weight of tetraploids was 20∼40% heavier than that of diploid.

Present studies were carried out to produce tetraploid plants by colchicine treatment using seeds, seedlings and shoot tips of Codonopsis lanceolata. Three tetraploid plants of C. lanceolata were produced from seeds which absorbed 0.1 % colchicine solution for 12 hours, and 0.5% colchicine solution for 1 and 6 hours from seedlings, respectively. But tetraploid was not produced from shoot tips treated by colchicine solution. Compared to diploid, tetraploid plants had larger stomata, but less number of stomata. Fresh weight of tetraploid plants was 1.4∼3.6 times heavier than diploid plants.

Spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage due to hemophilia A with impaired coagulopathy is very rare. Spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage has been recorded as having originated from many retroperitoneal organs and blood vessels, and it may be due to local and/or systemic factors. In the majority of the patients, kidney and adrenal gland were the major site of hemorrhage. The systemic causes of spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage are anticoagulation therapy and chronic hemodialysis. During the course of these treatments, hemorrhagic complications may occur at many site, including the retroperitoneal space. Blood dyscrasias including leukemia, polycythemia, sickle cell trait and hemophilia have been reported associated with spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage. Clinicopathological role of kidney injury molecule-1 in immunoglobulin A nephropathy

Background: Urinary kidney injury molecule-1 (KIM-1) is an early and sensitivebiomarker of acute kidney injury, but it is unclear if it is a biomarker of chronicglomerulonephritis. We evaluated whether urinary KIM-1 levels in patients withimmunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy can be a marker to reflect clinicopathologicalseverity and predict the prognosis. Methods: We measured urinary KIM-1 levels in 40 patients (15 males; mean age36.6712.9 years) with IgA nephropathy and 10 healthy people (5 males; mean age37.379.6 years) as controls. The correlation of urinary KIM-1 levels with patients’clinical parameters, histological grades, and follow-up data were analyzed using themodified H. S. Lee grading system and tubulointerstitial change scores. Results: Urinary KIM-1 levels were higher in patients with IgA nephropathy thanhealthy controls (P¼0.001). Univariate and multivariate regression analyses showedthat urinary KIM-1 levels had a direct correlation with H. S. Lee grade andtubulointerstitial inflammation (P¼0.004 and P¼0.011, respectively). Conclusion: In patients with IgA nephropathy, urinary KIM-1 has a significantcorrelation with histopathologic severity.
흰쥐에 있어서 Sparganum의 移行과 發育에 관한 硏究

This study was carried out to investigate the migration and development of the Sparganum in rats and the changes of haematological values in the hosts infected with Sparganum. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. The recovery rate of the Sparganum in the infected rats was 57 per cent on the autopical findings of the infected individual rats during observations from 2 hours to 32 days after infection with Sparganum. 2. The larval Sparganum was found in the digestive tract within two hours after administration with oral route and then, the worms began to penetrate and migrate via the abdominal cavity within 4 to 6 hours and the worms were found in the muscular tissues 2 days onwards after infections. 3. The infected Sparganum began to deveolp the size of the body from 4 day after infection and then, the size of the Sparganum was measured by 52.9mm long and 3.2mm broad on 32 days after infection . 4. In the haematological observation of the host the red blood cell values changed little, while the white blood cells were increased significantly during 2 days after infection and thereafter they were recovered to the normal values.

We have examined the relaxational reponse to the water extract of Angelica gigas Nakai (AG), A. sinensis(Oliv.) Diels (AS), A. acutiloba Kitagawa (AA), and Four-Substance Decoctions (AG-FSD, AS-FSD, AA-FSD) in isolated thoracic aorta from sprague dawley(SD) rat in the presence and absence of endothelium. Rat thoracic aorta was investigated in vessel segments suspended for isometric tension recording by polygraph. Responses to AG, AS, AA and AG-FSD, AS-FSD, AA-FSD were investigated in vessels precontracted with 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) were compared in vasodilation effect. We found that the thoracic aorta segments responded to AG, AS, AA and AG-FSD, AS-FSD, AA-FSD with a dose-dependent vasodilation. The 5-hydroxytryptamine induced contraction at 10-4M were inhibited by 26.3%, 2.7%, 2.1% and 24.6%, 1.1%, 3.2% after addition of the 0.1 g/㎖ water extract of AG, AS, AA and AG-FSD, AS-FSD, AA-FSD. The 5-hydroxytrptamine induced contraction at 10^-4M with and without endothelium were inhibited by 24.6% and 6.9% after addition of the 0.1 g/㎖ water extract of AG-FSD. In conclusion, AG, AS, AA and AG-FSD, AS-FSD, AA-FSD-induced relaxation in the isolated rat thoracic aorta were composed of dose-dependent relaxation. AG-FSD has very potent vasodilation.

In this paper composites-aluminum hybrid structure for 3-axis micro-CNC machining center was introduced to enhance the structural stiffness and damping capacity of the structure. Three types of composites-aluminum hybrid column were proposed; that is, composite reinforcement at 2 lateral surfaces and 4 lateral surfaces and partly reinforced structure (composite jacket) for damping enhancement. Finite element analyses for static deflection due to dead weight and natural frequency were carried out according to the stacking angle and thickness and the most appropriate condition for the design of the composites-aluminum hybrid structure was determined.
錦江産 Zacco Platypus 에 對한 Metagonimus 吸蟲 被囊幼蟲에 關한 調査硏究

A. Zacco platypus was caught from three localities in Gum River and the metacercariae of Metagoniums yokogawai were isolated from the fish. The rate of metacercarial infection showed 70.4 per cent among 54 fish examined. The prevalence rates of the fish were 93.3~100 per cent at the both areas Jeogok-Ri and Sintanjin, otherwise the rate was only 21.1 per cent at Dae-hak-Ri. The larger fish and the female had the higher rates of the metacercarial infections than the smaller one and the male. B. The distribution rates of metacercaria in the fish was observed the following order. on the scale: 77.1%, in the muscle and fin:18.7%, the head part:2.9%, and the intestine and visceral organs. 1.3%, respectively. C. The shape of metacercaria was oval or spherical form, and 150.3μ in length, 1404μ in width and 2.0μ in the thickness of the cyst wall D. Tne adult worms which were experimentally infected to the mouse host were observed The morphological character of worms were the eccentric position of the ventral sucker, which was located about half way between the anterior and posterior ends of the body but to the right of the midline

In this paper, effective test generation language is suggested and it is applied to boundary-scan architecture boards test. Suggested test vector can generate boundary-scan signals which need for board test. A system can be consist of these boards and each board can parallel in board test. It bring large mount of adventage for speed and space.
