A Dynamic Search Range Algorithm for Stabilized Reduction of Memory Traffic in Video Encoder

<P>Embedded compression is commonly employed in a video codec to reduce the data traffic to/from off-chip frame memory. We proposed a method for maintaining the memory bandwidth requirement at a significantly reduced level through dynamic search range adjustment for the motion estimation based on the observed relationship between the compression ratio and the motion vector. This, together with the so-called “center moving” to adjust the newly incoming macroblocks, helped significantly lower the requirement of the memory bandwidth without a fluctuation. Experimental results have shown that the memory bandwidth requirement can be finally stabilized to 20% of that of the full search. The image quality degradation was merely 0.02 dB.</P>
중국 공산당의 당성 담론을 통한 위기관리 분석 : 코로나19 위기 상황을 중심으로

본 연구는 코로나19 위기상황 속 중국 공산당이 당의 권위와 통치 정당성을 강화하기 위해 공산당원의 당에 대한 충성심을 강화시키는 당성담론을 동원했다고 주장한다. 중국 공산당의 당성담론 동원 메커니즘을 분석하기 위해 코로나19 위기상황이 고조되었던 2020년 1월부터 4월까지 중국 공산당의 정치 연설문과 통지문 그리고 당 기관지의 사설과 논평에 대한 비판적 담론 분석을 진행하였다. 본 연구가 제시하는 바는 첫째 당성 담론이 당원과 간부의 이념적인 무장을 강화시켰으며, 둘째 중국 공산당을 비판하는 여론을 통제하였다는 것이다. 끝으로 중국 공산당이 동원한 당성 담론에 대한 평가와 당성 담론이 향후 중국 정치에 미칠 영향을 분석해 보았다. This study argues the CCP(Chinese Communist Party) mobilized the discourse of party spirit to reinforce the authority and legitimacy amid the COVID-19 crisis. How did the party mobilized the discourse of party spirit? What’s the key mechanism of the discourse? What is the major influence on Chinese politics? To answer these questions, this study analyzes Chinese leaders’ speech, announcement and 'the editorial and comment of the CCP’s official media' from January to April 2020, when the COVID-19 crisis situation escalated. This study suggests two aspects of the discourse of party spirit: First the process of ideological indoctrination of the cadre and communist member; Second the mechanism of regulating critical public opinion. In conclusion, this study argues the discourse of party spirit will exist as a vital political apparatus reinforcing the CCP's authority and legitimacy.

<P>Cu<SUB>2</SUB>ZnSnS<SUB>4</SUB> (CZTS) nanoparticles were synthesized by sonochemical reactions under multibubble sonoluminescence (MBSL) conditions. First, Cu<SUB>2</SUB>SnS<SUB>3</SUB> (CTS) nanoparticles were synthesized by the sonochemical method with a 91.3% yield. Second, ZnS was coated on Cu<SUB>2</SUB>SnS<SUB>3</SUB> nanoparticles by the same method. Then, they were transformed into CZTS nanoparticles of 90–300 nm diameter by heating them at 450 °C for 1 hour. The ratios between Zn and Sn could be controlled from 0.20 to 1.32 by adjusting the relative concentrations of Cu<SUB>2</SUB>SnS<SUB>3</SUB> and ZnCl<SUB>2</SUB>. With relatively lower Zn : Sn ratios (0.20–0.41), there was a mixture of CTS and CZTS nanoparticles. The prepared nanoparticles show different band gaps from 1.19 to 1.52 eV depending on the zinc to tin ratio. In this sonochemical method without using any toxic or high temperature solvents, the specific stoichiometric element ratios in CZTS were controllable on demand and their experimental results were always reproducible in separate syntheses. This paper will read about a multichannel frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensor with switching transmit (TX) antennas is developed at W-band. To achieve a high angular resolution, a uniform linear array consisting of 5 switching-TX and 12 receive (RX) antennas is employed with the digital beamforming technique. The overall radar front-end module comprises a W-band transceiver and TX/RX antennas. A multichannel transceiver module consists of 5 up-conversion and 12 down-conversion channels, where one of the TX channels is sequentially switched ON. For developing transmitter, we developed an HPA (high power amplified) MMIC chip for W-band radar system and fabricated a transmitter module using this chip. In order to develop the W-band transmitter, we analyzed the important antenna transition structure from HPA MMIC line to W/G (Waveguide)antenna via M/S(microstrip) and fabricated it with 5 transmission channels. As a result, the output power of the transmitter was within 1 dB of the error range after analysis and measurement under normal temperature and environmental conditions.

브로커를 통한 모바일 IPv6 네트워크의 효율적인 계층적 인증기법

신속하고 안전한 이동성 서비스는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)는 이러한 이슈들에 대응하기 위하여 네트워크 자원의 사용을 안전하게 하고 법적으로 보장하는 핵심기술 같은 많은 의미있는 작업들을 해오고 있으며 기존의 MIPv6(Mobile IPv6)에서 핸드오버 지연과 시그널링 오버헤드 같은 문제를 보완하기 위하여 HMIPv6(Hierarchical Mobile IPv6)를 제안하였다. 현재 HMIPv6에 관한 연구의 대부분은 HMIPv6와 AAA(Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) 프로토콜 사이의 상호작용 절차를 최적화하기 위한 방법에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 해당 논문에서는 AAA 절차에서 인증대기를 최소화하는데 중점을 둔 비용 효율적인 계층 인증 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법에서는 MAP(Mobility Anchor Point)에 배포되어진 AAA 서버들, Root AAA 서버가 관리하는 몇몇의 Leaf AAA 서버들 그리고 홈 도메인 안에 있는 AAA 서버를 대신하는 브로커들의 계층적 AAA 아키텍처를 제안한다. 이 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안된 기법이 이전의 전통적인 인증 조합 모델링과 비교하여 핸드오프 지연과 인증대기 시간이 상당히 줄어들었음을 보여준다. As quick and secure mobility service is becoming a critical issue in the ubiquitous environment. Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has done a lot of meaningful work in order to cope with the critical issues, which is a key technology of guaranteeing the legally and safely using of network resources, they has proposed Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6) to complement for such problems as handover latency and signaling overhead in existing MIPv6. Most of the current research about HMIPv6 focuses on how to optimize the interactive processes between the HMIPv6 and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) protocol. This paper describes a cost-effective hierarchical authentication scheme, which makes its focus on minimizing the authentication latency in AAA processing. In this scheme, a hierarchical AAA architecture is proposed, in which the AAA servers are deployed on the Mobility Anchor Point (MAP), the Root AAA server manages several Leaf AAA servers and the Brokers on behalf of the AAA server in home domain. The simulation results shows that the proposed scheme reduces the handoff and authentication latency evidently compared to the previous traditional authentication combination modeling.
