Cases with extranodal Hodgkin's disease located in sites outside those defined as lymphatic structure are quite rare. The exact incidence of this localized form of Hodgkin's disease is unknown, but it is estimated to be only 0.25% for overall incidence of Hodgkin's disease. Localized primary extranodal Hodgkin's disease seems to have an excellent prognosis in some cases including skin, tongue, lung, stomach, small bowel, and thyroid. We report a case of primary gastrointestinal Hodgkin's disease involved in the stomach and terminal ileum in 48-year-old man with 7 kg of weight loss for 3 months, fever with chills for 1 week, and intermittent epigastric pain for 1 year. The histologic type of this case was lymphocyte predominance, which was diagnosed by biopsy of the stomach and terminal ileum with immnophenotyping study. And the stage of this case was IIE. We tried combination chemotherapy with adriamycin, bleomycin, vinblastin, and dacabazine with excellent response. For its rarity, we report this case with review of literatures.

This study has purposes to examines the cognitive analyzed to the Tenses through mental space theory which is suggested by Fauconnier and Turner (1994). First of all, Mental space theory is a theory of the meaning construction which crucially involves partitioning the representation of sentence meaning into domains or spaces. A Mental space is a relatively small conceptual packet built up for purposes of local understanding and action. In Fauconnier and Turner (1994) Metaphoric mappings are one manifestation of a more general mapping process which crucially involves the construction of blended space. They call this new and competing model the many-space model. In this paper, I have provided further evidence for a natural language is to provide means of keeping track of time and epistemic value through much longer stretches of thought and discourse. Tenses is the device of choice for doing this generally and uncovered elegant principles that language use for space tracking.

They call this new and competing model the "many-space" model, In this paper, I have provided further evidence for the cognitive role of blended spaces in the operation of metaphor-as in the Korean Compound words. Meaning of Compound words is not compositional in the usual sense but develop the appropriate conceptual construction, including blends.

Effect of Chemical Modification of Carboxyl Groups in Apple Residues on Metal Ion Binding

AR (apple residue) was used as an alternative and cheap material for binding metal ions due to the presence of carboxyl and phenolic functional groups. The binding capacity of copper, lead, and cadmium by AR was pH dependent. Carboxyl groups of AR were esterified by acidic methanol to determine the contribution of carboxyl groups to metal ions binding. The extent of esterification was determined by analyzing the amount of methanol released in the sample hydrolysates by gas chromatography. The effect of esterification on binding metal ions was investigated in batch experiments by unmodified and modified AR. All esterified AR showed significant decreases in binding copper, lead and cadmium. The loss in the capacity of metal ion binding was proportional to the extent of esterification. The capacity of metal binding decreased with increase in the concentration of methanol in the respective hydrolysates or the modified AR. The data indicate that carboxyl groups on AR play an important role in the metal ion binding.
