        海权视域下中国北极政策探析

        随着全球海洋时代开发浪潮的到来,各国都以开发利用海洋资源助推本 国经济发展。特别是近年来北极航道重要性得到突显,加之其蕴藏着丰富的油气和 渔业资源更使得北极地区成为继海洋资源之后的又一资源与利益聚焦点。在海权理 论的支撑下,中国也积极参与北极开发并提出了北极政策。而北极政策的推行又进 一步充实了中国海权的理论建设与实践发展。作为北极地区的利益攸关方,中国积 极参与北极开发将会为该地区的发展与保护贡献自身的力量。

        How to Make and Destroy a “Blood Alliance”? The Ups and Downs of China‐DPRK Relations

        The relationship between China and the Korean Peninsula is frequently in flux, and peace and continuity on the peninsula have been critical factors for dynastic stability. After 1949, China moved quickly to restore influence between the PRC and the DPRK. The PRC-DPRK relationship was propelled forward by personal bonds between leaders and citizens, the disputes with Taiwan and South Korea, the attraction of a relationship founded on equal and mutual assistance, and so forth. However, over time, the relationship was deeply undermined by an excessive reliance on the personal actions of leaders, clear ideological differences, gaps in the cognition of the global situation between the two countries, and the perception by the Chinese that North Korea's demands for economic assistance were excessive. The consequence was a loosening and weakening of this relationship. The two countries perceived the international situation in profoundly different ways. Over time, the two nations expressed deep differences on political issues, and rifts emerged concerning the fundamental developmental model. North Korea's “equality” and “equal” distance diplomacy created much frustration in China-DPRK relations. The political and diplomatic relationship between China and North Korea followed a complex pattern of differentiation, separation, and bridging that made cooperation problematic.

        Experimental and numerical simulation study on fracture properties of self-compacting rubberized concrete slabs

        The limited availability of raw materials and increasing service demands for pavements pose a unique challenge in terms of pavement design and concrete material selection. The self-compacting rubberized concrete (SCRC) can be used in pavement design. The SCRC pavement slab has advantages of excellent toughness, anti-fatigue and convenient construction. On the premise of satisfying the strength, the SCRC can increase the ductility of pavement slab. The aim of this investigation is proposing a new method to predict the crack growth and flexural capacity of large-scale SCRC slabs. The mechanical properties of SCRC are obtained from experiments on small-scale SCRC specimens. With the increasing of the specimen depth, the bearing capacity of SCRC beams decreases at the same initial crack-depth ratio. By constructing extended finite element method (XFEM) models, crack growth and flexural capacity of large-scale SCRC slabs with different fracture types and force conditions can be predicted. Considering the diversity of fracture types and force conditions of the concrete pavement slab, the corresponding test was used to verify the reliability of the prediction model. The crack growth and flexural capacity of SCRC slabs can be obtained from XFEM models. It is convenient to conduct the experiment and can save cost.

        Effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza aerial parts on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and digestive enzymes in rabbits

        Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza (S.m.) aerial parts as an alternative ingredient on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and digestive enzymes in growing rabbits. Methods: Treatments included five tested diets: a control (basal diet), antibiotic (basal diet +enramycin at 5 mg/kg), and S.m. aerial parts powder added at 3.0%, 6.0%, and 9.0% of feed using 300 growing rabbits. Results: The diets with S.m. aerial parts addition at 9.0% decreased (p<0.05) feed/gain compared to the control, but there were no differences in feed intake and body weight gain. In contrast with the control, the addition of antibiotic increased (p<0.05) digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, energy, fiber, and ash. The herb addition did not cause differences in the digestibility of most nutrients compared to the antibiotic, but fiber digestibility of the herb at 6.0% and 9.0% was lower (p<0.05) than that of the antibiotic. Moreover, the antibiotic and the herb also similarly increased (p<0.05) the activities of duodenal α-amylase, maltase, lipase, and trypsin, compared to the control, and the herb at 6.0% and 9.0% showed a greater (p<0.05) activity of elastase than the dose 3.0%. Conclusion: The obtained data indicate that S.m. aerial parts can be a potential forage in rabbit’s diet at 9.0% with a beneficial regulation on nutrition and digestion.         Identification of novel Est-ssr markers by transcriptome sequencing in ridgetail white prawn Exopalaemon carinicauda

        The ridgetail white prawn Exopalaemon carinicauda is one of the major commercial mariculture species in eastern China. However, only limited molecular markers are currently available due to the lack of genome information, which hinders its genetic and breeding studies. In this study, we identified new simple sequence repeats from transcriptome sequences by Illumina Hiseq 2500 platform. A total of 14273 SSR loci were identified from 130,082 assembled transcripts, with 6590 pairs of PCR primers designed. A total of 12,155 sequences containing SSR were predicted; and 2764 (22.74%) transcripts had significant matches to the NCBI non redundant protein (Nr) database. 11,563 transcripts were assigned into gene ontology (GO) categories. A set of 200 primers selected randomly were synthesized, of which 152 (76.0%) were successfully amplified. Further test with 60 pairs of polymorphic SSR primers to evaluate the genetic diversity of 30 wild populations and 43 loci were polymorphic, which had a polymorphic information content between 0.204 and 0.911. The results enriched genomic resources of E. carinicauda and provided powerful information for future conservation and breeding researches.

        A Facile Method to Prepare Multifunctional Cotton Fabrics based on Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework

        The fabrication of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) on the various supported substrates, especially lightweightand flexible substrates have been attempted for many years. In recent years, zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIF-8) and fabriccomposites have attracted researchers’ interest, but the combination of two-dimensional zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF-L) and fabric rarely involves. Aiming to this, a two-dimensional ZIF-L was successfully fixed on modified cottonfabrics by a facile in-situ growing method under the same experimental conditions as the synthesis of ZIF-8, and ZIF-Lcoated cotton fabric (CF-NH2@ZIF-L) has multiple properties like indoor formaldehyde purifying capability, excellentantibacterial properties and good UV protection. The cotton fabric was first modified with 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane(APTMS) and then the ZIF-L crystal films were in situ growth on the amine modified cotton fibers at room temperature inaqueous phase. The CF-NH2@ZIF-L fabric demonstrates excellent antibacterial properties and its antibacterial activityagainst Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is 99.52 % and 99.89 % respectively. In addition, it also has good UVprotection and indoor formaldehyde purifying capability. The multifunctional cotton fabric prepared by this method can beviewed as a potential candidate used as decorative textile or air purification material.

        Effects of Sintering Process on Microstructure and Microwave Dielectric Properties of Ba(Co1/3Nb2/3)O3 Ceramics

        Ba(Co1/3Nb2/3)O3 (BCN) ceramics were prepared using a conventional solid-state route. Effects of sintering on microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of Ba(Co1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramics were systematically investigated. Appropriate sintering temperature could restrain the evaporation of CoO and the formation of Nb-rich phase. The dielectric constants and temperature coefficients of resonant frequency changed slightly with the variation in sintering temperatures. The high Q× f value with prolonged sintering time was related to the improvement of 1 : 2 ordered arrangement in the B site, rather than the compactness of ceramics. Excellent microwave dielectric properties (εr=32.6, Q×f =86857 GHz, τf=−14 ppm/°C) were obtained in the Ba(Co1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramics sintered at 1380°C for 12 h.

        A Pilot Study of Clinical Evaluation and Formation Mechanism of Irritable Bowel Syndrome-like Symptoms in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients in Remission

        Background/Aims Some inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients in remission suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-like symptoms (IBD-IBS). The pathogenesis has not yet been elucidated. The study aim is to evaluate relationships among quality of life (QOL), psychological status, and visceral sensitivity, and explore the formation mechanism of IBD-IBS. Methods Forty-seven patients with Crohn’s disease in remission, 24 ulcerative colitis in remission, 26 IBS, and 20 healthy controls were included in the study. The abdominal pain, QOL, anxiety, and depression were evaluated through questionnaires. Visceral sensitivity was measured by rectal balloon distension. The serum levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and nerve growth factor (NGF) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expressions of tryptase, 5-HT, NGF, and related receptors in colonic tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry and western blot. Results Prevalence of IBS-like symptoms in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis patients in clinical remission was 29.8% and 50.0%, respectively. The QOL was lower, the anxiety/depression scores were higher in IBD-IBS patients than those without IBS-like symptoms. Additionally, patients with IBD-IBS existed visceral hypersensitivity. Besides, abdominal pain was associated with poor QOL, visceral hypersensitivity, anxiety, and depression in IBD-IBS patients. The number of mast cells (MCs) and expressions of 5-HT, NGF, and related receptors were higher in IBD-IBS patients than those with no such symptoms. The serum levels of 5-HT and NGF positively correlated with abdominal pain and visceral hypersensitivity. Conclusion IBD-IBS patients may have low QOL and psychological abnormalities, as wells as visceral hypersensitivity which may be related to increased 5-HT and NGF levels released from activated mast cells.         Improved oral bioavailability of capsaicin via liposomal nanoformulation: preparation, in vitro drug release and pharmacokinetics in rats

        This study innovatively prepared an effectivecapsaicin-loaded liposome, a nanoformulation with fewerirritants, for oral administration. The in vitro and in vivoproperties of the liposomal encapsulation were investigatedand the potential possibility of oral administration evaluated. The liposomal agent composed of phospholipid, cholesterol,sodium cholate and isopropyl myristate was prepared usingfilm-dispersion method. A level A in vitro–in vivo correlation(IVIVC) was established for the first time, which demonstratedan excellent IVIVC of both formulated and freecapsaicin in oral administration. Physicochemical characterizationsincluding mean particle size, zeta (f) potentialand average encapsulation efficiency of capsaicin-loadedliposome were found to be 52.2 ± 1.3 nm, -41.5 ±2.71 mv and 81.9 ± 2.43 %, respectively. In vivo, liposomalencapsulation allowed a 3.34-fold increase in relativebioavailability compared to free capsaicin. The gastricmucosa irritation studies indicated that the liposomal systemwas a safe carrier for oral administration. These resultssupport the fact that capsaicin, an effective drug for thetreatment of neuropathic pain, could be encapsulated inliposome for improved oral bioavailability. The excellentIVIVC of capsaicin-loaded liposome could also be a promisingtool in liposomal formulation development with anadded advantage of reduced animal testing.

        Polyetheretherketone implants with hierarchical porous structure for boosted osseointegration

        Background Good osseointegration is the key to the long-term stability of bone implants. Thermoplastic polyetheretherketone (PEEK) has been widely used in orthopedics; however, its inherent biological inertia causes fibrous tissue to wrap its surface, which leads to poor osseointegration and thus greatly limits its clinical applications. Methods Herein, we developed a facile yet effective surface modification strategy. A commonly used sulfonation coupled with “cold pressing” treatment in the presence of porogenic agent formed a three-dimensional hierarchical porous structure on PEEK surface. Subsequently, the effects of porous surface on the in vitro adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) were evaluated. Finally, the osteoinduction and osseointegration of surface-porous PEEK implant were examined in the rat distal femoral defect model. Results In vitro results showed that the surface modification did not significantly affect the mechanical performance and cytocompatibility of PEEK substance, and the porous structure on the modified PEEK substrate provided space for cellular ingrowth and enhanced osteogenic differentiation and mineralization of BMSCs. In vivo tests demonstrated that the surface-porous PEEK implant could effectively promote new bone formation and had higher bone-implant contact rate, thereby achieving good bone integration with the surrounding host bone. In addition, this modification technique was also successfully demonstrated on a medical PEEK interbody fusion cage. Conclusion The present study indicates that topological morphology plays a pivotal role in determining implant osseointegration and this facile and effective modification strategy developed by us is expected to achieve practical applications quickly.
