In this paper, porous Si3N4 ceramics were fabricated by carbothermal reduction between silicon dioxide and carbon [1]. The influences of α-Si3N4 seeds and sintering additives on the microstructure and mechanical properties of porous Si3N4 ceremics were investigated. XRD analysis proved the complete formation of a single-phase β-Si3N4. SEM analysis showed that the resultant porous Si3N4 ceramics had a fine microstructure and a uniform pore structure. The sintered sample with Lu2O3 as sintering additive showed finer, higher aspect ratio β-Si3N4 grains. The addition of Eu2O3 accelerated the densification of porous Si3N4 ceramics, decreased the porosity and increased the flexural strength. The addition of α-Si3N4 seeds accelerated the formation of the α-Si3N4 phase at a low temperature and the α-β phase transformation process at a high temperature. With an increase in the α-Si3N4 seeds content, the porosity decreased, and the flexural strength increased accordingly. 본 논문에서는 웹서버 보안 취약점 점검 방안에 대한 연구 동향을 조사하고 분석한다. 우선, 한국인터넷진흥원 인터넷침해대응센타에서 발표한 웹 취약점 공격동향에 대하여 살펴본다. 다음으로, 취약점 점검 항목에는 어떠한 것들이 있는지에 대해 소개하고, 예상 공격 시나리오와 그 공격들을 방어하는 방법에 대해 설명한다. 이들 점건 항목들은 주로 OWASO(Open Web Application Security Project)를 기반으로 한다. 그리고, 현재 이용되고 있는 웹 서버 보안 취약점 점건 도구들에 대하여 살펴본다. 본 연구 결과를 이용하여 웹서버를 안전하게 관리함으로써, 안전한 컴퓨터 및 네트워크 환경에 기여하고자 한다.
부산, 울산, 경남지역 직업병감시체계에서 나타난 수지진동증후근의 역학적 특성

목적: 국내에서도 국소진동에 의한 수지진동증후군이 다수 있을 것으로 추정하나 최근에 이에 대한 보고가 적어 부·울·경 직업병감시체계를 통하여 수지진동증후군에 대한 환례를 수집하여 이의 역학적 특성을 밝히고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 방법: 2001년 44월부터 2002년 12월까지 부산, 울산, 경남지역에 있는 종합병원 9곳을 통하여 특수 건강진단과 산업의학과 외래를 방문한 근로자를 대상으로 진동폭로에 대한 설문조사를 실시하고 이들중에서 수지진동으로 인한 증상을 호소하는 근로자는 이학적 검사와 Stockholm workshop scale을 이용하여 수지진동증후군이 있는지 평가하였다. 결과: 남자 188명, 여자 4명 등 총 192례의 수진진동증후군이 의심되는 환례를 수집하였으며, 업종별로는 조선업에 종사하는 근로자들이 가장 많았다. 국소진동의 주된 폭로원은 그라인더가 가장 많았으며, 혈관장해로 인한 증상보다 감각신경성 장해로 인한 증상을 많이 호소하였다. 결론: 전국적으로 조선업종의 그라인더 사용자를 중심으로 많은 수의 수지진동증후군의 환자가 있을 것으로 추정되며, 이들에 대한 예방대책을 마련하기 위하여 전국규모의 정확한 유병률 조사 및 실태파악이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. Objects: The objectives of this study were to estimate the epidemiologic characteristics of hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS) due to occupational exposure of hand transmitted vibration and to identify the occupations and industries where such exposures arises, and the main sources of exposure. Methods: In April 2001 the Busan, Ulsan, and Kyung-Nam Province occupational disease surveillance system was established to measure the incidence and prevalence of work-relatd HAVS and other occipational diseases in these Korean provinces. Occupational physicians of nine hospitals in Busan, Ulsan, and Kyung-nam Province were involved in this project between April 2001 and November 2002. Physicians collected information through questionnaires and interviews. Information gathered included age, occupation, types of vibration tools used and presence of subkective symptoms such as vibration-induced white finger (VWF), numbness and tingling. Results: A total 192 cases were reported with 188 males and 4 females. The shipbuilding industry was the most common type of industry and grinders were the most common source of exposire. Symptoms of neurological disorder were more common than those of vascular disprder. Conclusions: The authors concluded that exposure to hand transmitted vibration is common and that HAVS is one of the most common occupational diseases in Korea. However, the range and extent of hand transmitted vibration and the overall prevalence of HAVS in Korea is still unknown. More extensive research on this syndrome in order to priorite necessary preventive measures is required.

Background: Weight loss during chemotherapy has not been exclusively investigated. Macrophage inhibitory cytokine-1 (MIC-1) might play a role in its etiology. Here, we investigated the prognostic value of weight loss before chemotherapy and its relationship with MIC-1 concentration and its occurrence during chemotherapy in patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Materials and Methods: We analyzed 157 inoperable locally advanced or metastatic ESCC patients receiving first-line chemotherapy. Serum MIC-1 concentrations were assessed before chemotherapy. Patients were assigned into two groups according to their weight loss before or during chemotherapy:>5% weight loss group and ${\leq}5%$ weight loss group. Results: Patients with weight loss>5% before chemotherapy had shorter progression-free survival period (5.8 months vs. 8.7 months; p=0.027) and overall survival (10.8 months vs. 20.0 months; p=0.010). Patients with weight loss >5% during chemotherapy tended to have shorter progression-free survival (6.0 months vs. 8.1 months; p=0.062) and overall survival (8.6 months vs. 18.0 months; p=0.022), and if weight loss was reversed during chemotherapy, survival rates improved. Furthermore, serum MIC-1 concentration was closely related to weight loss before chemotherapy (p=0.001) Conclusions: Weight loss both before and during chemotherapy predicted poor outcome in advanced ESCC patients, and MIC-1 might be involved in the development of weight loss in such patients.

MicroRNA-223-3p (miR-223-3p) is one of the potential microRNAs that have been shown to alleviate inflammatory responses in pre-clinical investigations and is highly encased in exosomes derived from bone mesenchymal stem cells (MSC-exosomes). MSC-exosomes are able to function as carriers to deliver microRNAs into cells. Autoimmune hepatitis is one of the challenging liver diseases with no effective treatment other than steroid hormones. Here, we examined whether MSC-exosomes can transfer miR-223-3p to treat autoimmune hepatitis in an experimental model. We found that MSC-exosomes were successfully incorporated with miR-223-3p and delivered miR-223-3p into macrophages. Moreover, there was no toxic effect of exosomes on the macrophages. Furthermore, treatments of either exosomes or exosomes with miR-223-3p successfully attenuated inflammatory responses in the liver of autoimmune hepatitis and inflammatory cytokine release in both the liver and macrophages. The mechanism may be related to the regulation of miR-223-3p level and STAT3 expression in the liver and macrophages. These results suggest that MSC-exosomes can be used to deliver miR-223-3p for the treatment of autoimmune hepatitis.

Choristodera는 잘 알려지지 않은 그룹이지만 매우 독특한 해양 파충류로 후기 트라이아스기에서부터 후기 올리고세까지 아시아, 북미, 유럽에 걸쳐 산출된다. 비록 수천 개의 choristodera 표본이 중국 전기 백악기 Jehol biota에서 수집되었지만 바다거북처럼 난태생이였는지 Pachypleurosauria (해양파충류) Keichousaurus hui처럼 태생이었는지 아직 확실하게 밝혀지지 않았다. 우리는 이 논문에서 중국 서부 요녕성의 Jiufotang층에서 산출된 가죽질의 알껍데기가 함께 잘 보존된 Hyphalosaurus baitaigouensis (파충류, Choristodera)를 보고한다. 이것은 Hyphalosaurus baitai-gouensis 같은 choristoderian 파충류가 남중국 Guizhou에서 산출된 후기 트라이아스기 Keichousaurus hui처럼 태생이었을 것임을 지시하는 직접적인 첫 번째 증거다. The Choristodera is a poorly known clade, but very a distinctive group of aquatic reptiles, which has been found from the Late Triassic to the Late Oligocene in Asia, North America and Europe. Although thousands of choristoderian specimens have been collected from the Early Cretaceous non-marine beds in Liaoning, China, no direct evidences have been found to determine whether they were oviparous like sea turtles or viviparous like Keichousaurus hui of Pacbypleurosauria (marine reptiles). Here we report a well-preserved specimen of Hyphalosaurus baitaigouensis with leathery embryonic eggs from the Jiufotang Formation in western Liaoning, China. It provides the first direct evidence to indicate that choristoderian reptiles are most likely viviparous like Late Triassic Keichousaurus hui from Guizhou, Southern China.
