        Virginiamycin 생산유도에 관여하는 Virginiae Butanolide C(VB-C) 및 Receptor의 상관관계

        S. virginiae에서 virginiamycin 생산촉진에 관여하는 호르몬성 물질인 Virginiae butanolide C(VB-C) 및 receptor의 유도기구를 규명하기 위해, NTG 처리에 의해 분리한 3종류의 변이주를 사용하여 유도능의 관계를 검토하였다. 분리한 3가지 변이주 중 No.1은 VB-C, receptor 및 항생물질 생산 지연, No.3은 receptor 대량생산, No.4는 VB-C 결손, receptor 및 항생물질 생산시기 지연 등의 특성을 나타내었다. 이들 변이주의 합성 VB-C 첨가에 의한 유도능의 특징은, No.1의 경우 receptor 생산시기 지연으로 인한 항생물질 생산 억제, No.3의 경우 다량의 receptor 생산으로 인한 유도 초기 항생물질의 양적 증가가 나타났으며, No.4의 경우 적당한 양의 receptor를 생산함에 따라 정상적인 유도능을 가졌음이 시사되었으나 VB-C 결손으로 인한 항생물질 생산량의 감소 및 생산시기 지연 등의 특성도 함께 나타내었다. 또한 이들 변이주가 생산한 항생물질의 향균 spectrum 및 HPLC 분석 결과, virginiamycin M 또는 S의 생산량의 변화 및 유도체 혹은 새로운 항생물질의 생산 가능성, 그리고 VB-C에 의한 VM-M 및 S의 특이적인 유도가 시사되었다. 이들 결과로부터 virginiamycin 생산 촉진을 위해서는 VB-C가 필수적이며, receptor 존재시에 VB-C의 신호 전달에 따른 항생물질 유도가 일어난다고 판단된다. 또한 앞으로 VB-C^+, receptor^- 및 VB-C^-, receptor^- 등의 변이주가 분리되어 다양한 변이주에 대한 유도능의 검토가 이루어져야 한다고 사료되며 VB-C같은 2차 대사산물 생산 촉진인자의 다양한 할용이 기대된다. Virginiae butanolide C(VB-C) is one of the butyrolactone autoregulators, which triggers the production of virginiamycin in Streptomyces virginiae. To further understand the mechanism of virginiamycin induction, we isolated three mutants from S. virginiae by N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (NTG) treatment. The characteristics of the three mutants were confirmed as follows: the mutant No.1 delayed the production of the VB-C, receptor and antiiotics; the mutant No. 3 hyperproduced receptor; the mutant No. 4failed to produce the VB-C. The addition of synthetic VB-C couldn't induce the production of antibiotics in the mutant No.1 due to delayed production of receptor, could provoke the production of larger amount of antibiotics than parental wild type strain in the mutant No.3 due to the presence of large amount of receptor, and could induce production of very small amount of antibiotics in the mutant No.4 due to the absence of VB-C. Antimicrobial spectrum and HPLC analysis of the mutant No.1 and No.3 suggested that the VB-C might have a specific ability to induce the production of virginiamycin M and S. These results imply that the VB-C has an ability to trigger the production of virginiamycin under receptor existence in S. virginiae.

        EDF 기대손실에 기초한 공정능력지수의 붓스트랩 신뢰구간

        This paper investigates bootstrap confidence intervals of the process capability index(PCI1 based on the expected loss derived from the empirical distribution function(EDF1. The PCI based on the expected loss is too complex to derive its confidence interval analytically, so the bootstrap method is a good alternative. We propose three types of the bootstrap confidence interval; the standard bootstrap(SB1, the percentile bootstrap(PB1, and the acceleration biased-corrected percentile bootstrap(ABC1. We also perform a comprehensive simulation study under various process distributions, in order to compare the accuracy of the coverage probability of the bootstrap confidence intervals. In most cases, the coverage probabilities of the bootstrap confidence intervals from the EDF PCI turned out to be more accurate than those from the PCI based on the normal distribution. It is expected that the bootstrap confidence intervals from the EDF PCI can be utilized in real processes where the true distribution family may not be known.

      • 혐기성 소화반응에서 Aeration 유무에 따른 수소가스 발생 변화

        This study was proceeded to know affect of the aeration on the anaerobic digest reaction by operating the acid reactor and hydrogen reactor and take the aeration at the feeding period of sludge in hydrogen reactor. All experiments were conducted at 35℃ using mineral salts-gluco-se(20 g/L) medium. In the acid reactor, the methane gas production was lasted during the an-aerobic reaction period. In the hydrogen reactor, the hydrogen gas production was lasted during the 9 days, especially high production of hydrogen occurred in 6∼9 days. The initial production of methane gas in hydrogen reactor was limited by aeration which to deteriorate the activity of methanogen, but production of methane gas was increased after 12 days. At the time to produce the hydrogen gas in the anaerobic digestion, the aeration reduce the activity of metanogen which known as obligate anaerobes, the created hydrogen can't covert to methane gas and keep the high production of hydrogen. And we think that hydrogen reactor have to take the occasional aeration to keep production of hydrogen cause the long SRT induce the activation of metanogen.

        산림화재 종합위험등급화에 관한 연구

        최근 전 세계적으로 개발을 위한 고의적인 방화와 기상이변에 의한 산림화재의 급증과 피해규모가 증가하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 이와 같은 대형 산림화재는 국내에서도 같은 경향으로 나타나고 있다. 산림화재에 가장 효과적인 대응 방법은 화재발생 후의 진압보다는 화재예방 활동이라고 볼 수 있으며, 우선적으로 시급한 연구과제는 산림화재 예방 시스템에 관한 연구라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 산림화재의 종합적 위험등급 개발을 위해 산림화재에 영향을 미치는 인자들에 대해 실험 및 자료들을 분석ㆍ고찰하여 6개 인자에 대한 개별적 위험성을 나타내었으며 각 인자들의 위험성 기여도에 따른 가중치를 적용하여 종합위험등급을 설정하였다. Recently, intentional arsons for exploitation and wildland fire caused by abnormal change of weather are increasing as well as the damage scale due to such fire in the world. The number of such big wildland fire is also increasing in Korea these days. Fire prevention activity can be said as more important than fire putting-out activity after a fire occurrence for the most effective way to cope with wildland fore, and the research on wildland fore prevention system is what we need to do urgently In this study, I examined and analyzed the experiments and data about the factors influencing wildland fire and stated the dangerousness of each factor for all of the 6 factors and set up the general dangerousness rating applying each factor's contribution to the dangerousness.       • 직장 Dieulafoy 병변으로 다량의 혈변을 보인 1 예

        Dieulafoy’s lesion is very rare cause of gastrointestinal bleeding, Deiulafoy’s lesion is exposure of non ulcerative, abnormally large tortuous, thick- walled artery in the muscularis mucosa through a small submucosal defect. It is usullay found on stomach antrum and lesser curvature side of the proximal body, and possibly found on any sites throughout whole gastrointestinal tract, but rarely on rectum. The principal of treating Dieulafoy’s lesion was the surgical resection of lesion, but recently remarkable advances in endoscopic technique make endoscopic approach more popular. We report a case of rectal Dieulafoy’s lesion successfully treated with endoscopic hemoclipping in an elderly female patient.

      • 사상과 울산자연집단내 노랑초파리 제2염색체의 유전적 변이성

        The genetic variabilities of second chromosome concealed in natural populations of Drosophila melanogaster have been analyzed annually. The collections have been continued three years since 1984 in Sasang and Ulsan natural populations and the flies were analyzed by Cy//Pm method and allelism test. The results were as follows: 1) The mean frequencies of deleterious gene(lethal plus semilethal), were estimated to be 30.60% in Sasang and 25.10% in Ulsan population. 2) The mean allelism rates between lethal genes isolated from natural populations were calculated to be about 1.66%, 1.64% in Sasang and Ulsan population, respectively, 3) The values of elimination were estimated by frequencies of deleterious genes and allelism rates, the mean values were 0.0017 in Sasang and 0.0010 in Ulsan population. 4) The frequencies of phenotypic sterility were ranged from 4.5% to 13.8% in two populatons and genetic sterility were showed from 3.43% to 4.65%, with the exception of Ulsan in 1986.

        유사체액에서의 전기화학적 처리가 티타늄 표면의 인산갈슘 흡착에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to examine the effect of electrochemical treatment on the precipitation of apatite-like calcium phosphate in a simulated body fluid. Titanium plates of 20×20×1 ㎣ in dimensions were polished sequentially from #600 to #2,000 emery paper and one surface of each specimen was received an additional polishing sequence through 0.1㎛ alumina paste. To improve the bioactivity of titanium plates, they were electrochemically treated at 100 mA for 20 min in an electrolyte containing the calcium and phosphate ions, and the Hanks' solution with pH 7.4 at 36.5℃ for 30 days, and the surfaces were examined with X-ray diffractometer(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy(XPS). Precipitation of calcium phosphate and CaO were observed on the electrochemically treated titanium surface in a simulated body fluid after treatment at 600℃. Precipitation of calcium phosphate was densified and coarsened with increasing the temperature of the electrolyte solution in the range of 20-80℃. The calcium phosphate contained phosphate in the form of Po₄^3-, HPO₄^2-, and H₂PO₄^-.

      • 생체 인식 정보 검출을 위한 Watershed 기반 Texture 병합에 관한 연구

        this paper presents the method that extracts by using watershed algorithm the area which is available for the feature factor in the iris. The inputted image is preprocessed and transferred to the texture block pattern by Polar Coordinate System Transformation. In this paper, the iris feature area is extracted from the image of Texture Block Pattern using Watershed Algorithm. The extracted area is indexed by average value and size of the feature area. After the position information of the feature area is rearranged by Polar Coordinate System Inverse-Transformation. In result, the proposed method showed that is possible to extract the definite iris feature.
