Ginsenoside Rb1 exerts neuroprotective effects through regulation of Lactobacillus helveticus abundance and GABAA receptor expression

        Huimin Chen,Jiajia Shen,Haofeng Li,Xiao Zheng,Dian Kang,Yangfan Xu,Chong Chen,Huimin Guo,Lin Xie,Guangji Wang,Yan Liang 고려인삼학회 2020 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.44 No.1

Background: Ginsenoside Rb1 (Rb1), one of the most abundant protopanaxadiol-type ginsenosides, exerts excellent neuroprotective effects even though it has low intracephalic exposure. Purpose: The present study aimed to elucidate the apparent contradiction between the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of Rb1 by studying the mechanisms underlying neuroprotective effects of Rb1 based on regulation of microflora. Methods: A pseudo germ-free (PGF) rat model was established, and neuroprotective effects of Rb1 were compared between conventional and PGF rats. The relative abundances of common probiotics were quantified to reveal the authentic probiotics that dominate in the neuroprotection of Rb1. The expressions of the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors, including GABAA receptors (α2, β2, and γ2) and GABAB receptors (1b and 2), in the normal, ischemia/reperfusion (I/R), and I/RþRb1 rat hippocampus and striatum were assessed to reveal the neuroprotective mechanism of Rb1. Results: The results showed that microbiota plays a key role in neuroprotection of Rb1. The relative abundance of Lactobacillus helveticus (Lac.H) increased 15.26 fold after pretreatment with Rb1. I/R surgery induced effects on infarct size, neurological deficit score, and proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α) were prevented by colonizing the rat gastrointestinal tract with Lac.H (1×109 CFU) by gavage 15 d before I/R surgery. Both Rb1 and Lac.H upregulated expression of GABA receptors in I/R rats. Coadministration of a GABAA receptor antagonist significantly attenuated neuroprotective effects of Rb1 and Lac.H. Conclusion: In sum, Rb1 exerts neuroprotective effects by regulating Lac.H and GABA receptors rather than through direct distribution to the target sites.

Research on a fault diagnosis method of rolling bearings using variation mode decomposition and deep belief network

        Huimin Zhao,Hailong Liu,Junjie Xu,Chen Guo,Wu Deng 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.9

The working conditions of rolling bearings during the running change in real time. Aiming at the problem of fault diagnosis of rolling bearing under complex working conditions, a new fault diagnosis (VHDBN) method based on variation mode decomposition (VMD), Hilbert transform (HT) and deep belief network (DBN) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the proposed fault diagnosis method performs the VMD decomposition for the time domain signal in order to obtain a series of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), and Hilbert envelope spectrum is obtained by Hilbert transform. The Hilbert envelope spectrum is used to construct the feature matrix, which is used as an input of the DBN network in order to obtain a fault diagnosis model. In order to test and verify the effectiveness of the proposed fault diagnosis method, the experimental data of rolling bearings under variable load is used in here. The experimental results show that the VMD-Hilbert envelope spectrum can better reflect the fault characteristics than the time domain spectrum, and the proposed fault diagnosis method under variable load has higher recognition accuracy than other comparison methods.

Reverse Salient Pole Design of Interior Pole-changing Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

        Huimin Wang,Zhongyuan Hao,Xiangyi Li,Guokai Jiang,Liyan Guo 한국자기학회 2024 Journal of Magnetics Vol.29 No.1

In order to prevent the demagnetization of low coercivity permanent magnets, the pole-changing permanent magnet synchronous motor usually adopts Id=0 control strategy, which has the problems that the reluctance torque of the motor cannot be utilized and the torque density is low. In order to solve this problem, a new type of rotor reverse salient pole structure of pole-changing permanent magnet synchronous motor is proposed in this paper. Based on the comparative analysis of the magnetic field distribution characteristics of the motor under different pole numbers, the common d-axis and q-axis magnetic path under 8-pole and 4-pole are planned, and then the winding inductance Ld>Lq under two pole numbers is realized by setting bar and arcmagnetic barriers and non-uniform reduction of air gap length. On this basis, the Taguchi method is used to set the parameters of the proposed structure, and the motor torque ripple is reduced under the premise of increasing the motor torque amplitude as much as possible under the 8-pole and 4-pole, and the optimal parameter combination of the proposed structure is determined. Through the FEA, it is verified that the motor can produce the maximum torque at the negative current angle before and after the pole change, so as to effectively utilize the reluctance torque, avoid the permanent magnet demagnetization and improve the torque density.

Modeling and Analyzing for Magnetic Field of Segmented Surface-Mounted PM Motors with Skewed Poles

        Wang Huimin,Guan Peijun,Liu Shu,Wu Shuang,Shi Tingna,Guo Liyan 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.2

The skewed PM (permanent magnet) in the axial direction and the segmented PM in the circumferential direction, can reduce the cogging torque of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). In this paper, the magnetization expression, which can be applied to diff erent circumferential sectioning modes, is derived. The quasi-3D magnetic fi eld analytical model suitable for diff erent circumferential and axial segmentation modes is proposed. The magnetic fi eld, cogging torque, back-EMF, and electromagnetic torque are obtained by the proposed modeling. The accuracy of the analytical method is verifi ed by 3D fi nite-element analysis. Finally, the modeling is used to analyze the variation of electromagnetic performance with diff erent radial skew angle and axial segments. The proposed modeling can shorten the calculation time, and analyze the variation law of motor performance with PM segmentation and skew comprehensively. It provides a reference for the design and optimization of segmented PMSM with skewed poles and has great signifi cance for improving motor performance.

Herbal medicine Radix Scutellariae quality improved by exposure of the fresh root to high temperature

        Fu Xiaoying,Guo Huimin,Cong Wei,Du Hongwei,Meng Xiang-Cai 경희대학교 융합한의과학연구소 2017 Oriental Pharmacy and Experimental Medicine Vol.17 No.4

Approximately 1200 years ago, the close association between the quality of medicine and the producing area was well known in China. Recent work has shown conclusively that the quality of herbal medicine is influenced by unfavorable conditions, but the exact cause remains unclear and is a difficult problem in research on herb resources. Fresh roots of S. baicalensis were exposed to temperatures of 35 °C ~ 55 °C, and the H2O2 level remained relatively inflexible. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities remained stable at 35 °C and 45 °C but decreased on day 1 at 55 °C. The excess ROS due to the high temperatures must be removed by another pathway. Our study reported that the phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) activities rose. The fresh roots were exposed to 55 °C for 2 days, the baicalin increased by 38.5%, the wogonoside by 24.1%, and the baicalein by 37.0%. This method can substantially improve the quality of Radix Scutellariae.
