        아파트 단지 입면녹화에 조형패턴 도입을 위한 연구 : 독일과 일본의 사례를 중심으로

        To construct an environment-friendly apartment complex which considers the city environment and the human life. We should concern the various compositions, the form of arrangements and the outside view. However, the advertisements which is irrelevant with the region's culture and environments is ruining the city view. Especially, the necessity of wall greening is getting is being occurred mostly by passive ways. Such as using creeping plants. But this fact has limitations. In foreign countries, such as Germany and Japan, movements for improving the environment is occuring and to protect the environment, many researches about ecology is progressing. In this study, a device to improve the quality of city and city environment will be suggested by examining the patterns of sculpture in foreign countries.

        Co(Ⅱ) Tetraphenylporphrin의 Ligand 添加反應에 對한 反應速度論的 硏究

        The reaction of Imidazole, Pyridine, Lutidine and Methylamine with Co(TPP), where TPP is tetraphenylporphyrin are investigated in the temperature range between 25℃ and 40℃ by measuring the visible absorption spectra of a series of solution in which solvent is varied. Solvents which is used are Tetrahydrofuran, N-N dimethylforamide and Methanol. As solvent is varied, coordination number of complex is changed. In THF solvent, hexacoordinated to Co-porphyrin species of the type Co(TPP)L_2 are dominant. But when Lutidine is coordinated to Co(TPP), five-coordinated Co-porphyrin is dominant. In this study, solvent effect and ligand effect is considered.

        수술실 간호사의 간호업무 분석

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nurses' duties and tasks for job analysis of the nurses in the operating room. Methods: This study was descriptive investigation research using the 3-point likert scale questionnaires and the level of importance, difficulty and the frequency of each duty and task were analyzed. Data were collected by 422 OR nurses from 57 hospitals. Results: Job of OR nurses included 13 duties and 105 tasks. The 13 duties were ‘management of operative patient’, ‘assistive work for operation’, ‘supportive work for operation’, ‘infection control in OR’, ‘management of equipments and instruments for operation’, ‘administrating medicine for operation’, ‘supplies management for operation’, ‘safety management for operation’, ‘environmental management for operating room’, ‘administrative work for operation’, ‘education for operating room personnel’, ‘development of operation procedure books’ and ‘self development of OR personnel’. Conclusion: This study identified duties and tasks performed by OR nurses. Based on these results, the importance, frequency, and difficulty in this study will provide research evidence for developing training programs for OR nurses.

      • 저강도 초음파 및 레이저를 이용한 장관골 불유합의 치료

        목 적: 저강도 초음파는 인체 및 동물 실험에서 골조직에 낮은 미세한 물리적 압력을 가하여 골절의 치유에 유리한 영향을 주고, 레이저 (LASER)는 심부 조직에 혈류를 증가시키고, 세포 내 잠재된 에너지를 증가시키는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 저자들은 임상적으로 확진된 장관골 붕류합의 치료에 있어 펄스형 저강도 초음파와 레이저를 적용하고 그 효용성을 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 초음파/레이저의 치료 효과를 비교하기 위하여 장관골 불유합으로 확진된 16예 중 8예는 연구군으로 골이식술 후 저강도 초음파와 레이저 치료를 추가하였고 대조군 8예에 대해선 일반적인 골이식술만 시행하여 조사하였다. 남자가 11예, 여자가 5예, 평균 연령은 41.7세 (19~62세)였고, 불유합 부위는 대퇴골이 10예, 경골이 6예였다. 첫 수상으로 인한 골절 후 초음파/레이저 치료까지 시간(골절 연력)은 평균 502일이었다. 결 과: 8예의 연구군에서는 완전 골유합이 6예에서 이루어졌으며 유합까지의 시간은 평균 141일 (101~202일)로 나타난 반면, 8례ㅢ 대조군에서는 5예에서 골유합이 이루어졌고, 유합까지의 시간은 평균 240일 (183~283일)이었다. 결 론: 저강도 초음파/레이져 골절 치료기가 반복된 수술로 인한 난치성 장관골 불유합의 치료에 있어 골이식술과 함께 사용될 경우 긍정적인 효과가 있었고, 특히 최초 가골 형성에 있어 대조군에 비해 그 시간을 줄일 수 있었따. Purpose: Low-intensity, pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has demonstrated a stimulation and acceleration of the normal fracture-repair process in cellular bases as well in animal and human models. In this study, the adjunctive effect of LIPUS and LASER was investigated in established nonunion of the long bones. Materials and Methods: Study group consisted of eight patients to whom conventional bone graft and adjunctive LIPUS and LASER was applied. On the other hands, eight patients in the control group underwent bone graft only. Eleven men and five women were included in this study and the average age of the patients was 41.7 years (range, 19~62 years). Six of the tibias and ten of the femurs met the criteria for established nonunion. The average fracture age, the post-fracture period before the start of LIPUS/LASER treatment, was 502 days. Results: Seven of the ten nonunions who were treated by LIPUS and LASER healed completely in an average treatment time of 141 days (range, 101~202 days) and otherwise, in control group, five of the eight nonunions healed completely, in 240 days (range 183~283 days). Conclusion: This clinical study showed a positive effect of LIPUS and LASER on the rate of osseous repair, especially accelerated time to initial callus cortical bridging compared to that of conventional treatment.

      • Helicobacter pylori와 대장균의 Shuttle Vector 개발

        In this study, a vehicle vector using cryptic plasmids was constructed for gene transfer in Helicobacter pylori. pHP51(3.9 kb) and pHP489(1.2 kb) were selected for constructing vectors from cryptic plasmid of H. pylori isolates in Korea. The HindⅢ-digestedDNA fragment(1.2kb) of pHP489 and 1.6kb DNA fragment of pHP51 were ligated with a kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ) from C. jejuni to produce the recombinant plasmids pHP489K and pHP51K, respectively. Transformation frequency of pHP51K by electroporation was low. But pHP489K could be effectively transformed into various H. pylori strains. In order to design an intermdiate vehicle vector for gene transfer into H. pylori, pBlueHP489K was prepared by recloning pHP489K DNA into pBluescript and pTZ19R vector. This vector permitted the DNA fragment containing pHP489 sequence, aph3'-Ⅲ, and cloned DNA to be cut and self-ligated in the SacⅠ site after cloning. ureA and ureB gene were inserted into pBlueHP489K, resulting in pBlueHP489K/AB. The DNA fragment containing pHP489, kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ), and urease structural gene was cut away from pBlueHP489K/AB and self-ligated to generate pBlueHP489K/AB. pBlueHP489K/AB made urease-negative H. pylori strains restore their urease activity. By this experiment, pBlueHP489K was confirmed to be the vehicle system for transferring H. pylori genes.

        <P>Yes-associated protein (YAP) is a nuclear downstream effector of the Hippo pathway, a regulator of cell growth. The phosphorylated form of YAP (pYAP), located in the cytoplasm, prevents cellular proliferation by spatially segregating YAP from the nucleus. This study aimed at investigating the relationships of pYAP and YAP with clinicopathological variables in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Samples of ESCC from 142 patients were studied using immunohistochemistry for YAP, pYAP and Ki-67. In all cases of ESCC, higher nuclear expression of YAP was correlated with Ki-67 expression, tumor diameter, histological grade (1-2 versus 3), and pathological TNM stage (I versus II-IV) in univariate analyses (p=0.036, p=0.025, p=0.021, and p=0.033, respectively). Higher nuclear expression of YAP was associated with worse overall and disease-free survival (p=0.006 and p=0.008, respectively). Multivariate analysis showed higher nuclear expression of YAP to be an independent prognostic marker for overall survival (p=0.034). We observed a trend towards inverse correlation of cytoplasmic pYAP expression and histological grade (1-2 versus 3) (p=0.087). Our results suggest that YAP shifts from the nucleus to the cytoplasm as a consequence of phosphorylation, which occurs in the presence of high tumor cell density in the case of ESCC, and may be a potential indication of histological differentiation. Nuclear expression of YAP is correlated with tumor cell proliferation and is an independent predictor of worse prognosis of ESCC.</P>

        Up-regulation of Cytoplasmic CD24 Expression Is Associated with Malignant Transformation but Favorable Prognosis of Colorectal Adenocarcinoma

        <P>Aim: Cluster of differentiation 24 (CD24) is known to be a putative marker of stem cell and tumor metastasis. This study aimed to verify the clinicopathological value of CD24 expression in colorectal adenocarcinoma (CRAC). Materials and Methods: A total of seven whole tissue sections of malignant polyps including the sequence non-neoplastic colorectal tissue adenoma CRAC, 48 adenomas and 161 CRACs arranged as tissue microarray were examined by immunohistochemistry for CD24 protein expression. Association of CD24 expression with clinicopathological parameters were also studied. Results: CD24 was not detected in normal mucosal epithelia. Cytoplasmic CD24 expression was higher in CRAC than in adenoma (p<0.001). In CRACs, cytoplasmic CD24 expression was inversely correlated with poor differentiation (grades 1 to 3), tumor size, and pathological TNM stage (I to III versus IV) (p=0.005, p=0.034, and p=0.006, respectively). Statistical correlations between high CD24 expression and longer overall and disease freesurvival were found (p=0.023 and p=0.033, respectively). Conclusion: Our findings suggest that up-regulation of CD24 expression in CRAC occurs at malignant transformation but is a marker of good prognosis, being down-regulated in pathological TNM stage IV. CD24 expression may be a challenging diagnostic marker in differentiating early invasive CRAC from adenoma and may serve as a prognostic marker in patients with CRAC.</P>

        Demotivation of Students Learning English in a Local Korean University:

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate the demotivating factors of students attending a university located in a local area in Korea. The interviews with 17 students who are in three different proficiency groups reveal 8 demotivating factors: learning difficulty , exam-oriented class , low test scores , low confidence , memorization , learning material , teacher , and grammar translation method . The main demotivating factor is learning difficulty . Half of the students who mentioned this state that they experienced the learning difficulty when they advanced to middle school from elementary school. The majority of other demotivating factors are closely related to the Korean education system under which both teachers and students do not have much autonomy. The teacher factor which was identified as the main demotivating factor in other studies conducted in western countries is not the main demotivator in this paper. In the distribution of demotivating factors, there do not exist any big differences among the different proficiency groups but it is shown that the low proficiency students experienced demotivation earlier than the higher proficiency students.

        Development of Fecal Microbial Enzyme Mix for Mutagenicity Assay of Natural Products

        Orally administered herbal glycosides are metabolized to their hydrophobic compounds by intestinal microflora in the intestine of animals and human, not liver enzymes, and absorbed from the intestine to the blood. Of these metabolites, some, such as quercetin and kaempherol, are mutagenic. The fecal bacterial enzyme fraction (fecalase) of human or animals has been used for measuring the mutagenicity of dietary glycosides. However, the fecalase activity between individuals is significantly different and its preparation is laborious and odious. Therefore, we developed a fecal microbial enzyme mix (FM) usable in the Ames test to remediate the fluctuated reaction system activating natural glycosides to mutagens. We selected, cultured, and mixed 4 bacteria highly producing glycosidase activities based on a cell-free extract of feces (fecalase) from 100 healthy Korean volunteers. When the mutagenicities of rutin and methanol extract of the flos of Sophora japonica L. (SFME), of which the major constituent is rutin, towards Salmonella typhimurium strains TA 98, 100, 102, 1,535, and 1,537 were tested using FM and/or S9 mix, these agents were potently mutagenic. These mutagenicities using FM were not significantly different compared with those using Korean fecalase. SFME and rutin were potently mutagenic in the test when these were treated with fecalase or FM in the presence of S9 mix, followed by those treated with S9 mix alone and those with fecalase or FM. Freeze-dried FM was more stable in storage than fecalase. Based on these findings, FM could be usable instead of human fecalase in the Ames test.
