      • 흰 쥐에 있어서 사염화탄소 투여로 인한 간독성 및 신장독성에 미치는 5-Aminosalicylic Acid의 영향

        The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of 5 - amino salicylic acid(5 - ASA) on the hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity in carbon tetrachloride(CCl_4) administered male rats. It was investigated by measuring the activity of monoamine oxidase(MAO), the levels of lipid peroxidation, and lipid accumulation in the liver and the kidney. The results obtained were as follows. Activity of MAO in the liver mitochondrial fraction was reduced by CCl_4 administration compared to normal group. This reduction caused by CCl_4 administration wree significantly improved by pretreatment with 5 - ASA. Hepatic lipid peroxidation, and the amounts of total lipid, total chloesterol, and triglyceride of the liver were significantly increased by CCl_4 administration. These increases caused by CCl_4 administration were significantly reduced by pretreatment with 5 - ASA. Renal lipid peroxidation, and and the amounts of total lipid, and triglyceride of the kidney were significantly increased by CCl_4 administration. These increases caused by CCl_4 administration were slightly reduced by pretreatment with 5 - ASA. These results suggest that 5 - ASA exerts a chemoprotective effect against carbon tetrachloride toxicity in male rats by mechanism that appears to involve its antioxidants property, just like scavenger of free radicals, and detoxification of electrophilic compounds by the metabolism of carbon tetrachloride.

      • 금속봉이 주기적으로 내장된 도파관 필터 특성 연구

        In this paper, the characteristics of a periodically loaded conducting post filter in a waveguide were studied experimentally and theoretically. Firstly, a conducting post effects in a rectangular waveguide were investigated with measurement, HFSS simulation, and Mode-Matching method. It is observed that a single conducting post plays an important role in the resonance since it makes capacitance and inductance. Therefore, theses effects need to be carefully considered when theses types of filter are designed. Both the filter and dispersion characteristics of periodically loaded conducting posts filter in a waveguide band-pass filter were measured. The results are compared with simulation, showing a good agreement. Especially, all dispersion curve of the filter structure is found to be linear over wide frequency range, suggesting that this structure could be utilized for the interaction circuit of the wide band Gyro- TWT.

      • 이동 열원을 고려한 전자빔 용접의 유한요소해석

        Simulation on the electron beam welding of Al 2219 alloy was carried out by using commercial FEM code MARC, which encounters moving heat sources. Due to axisymmetry of geometry, a half of the cylinder was simulated. A coupled thermo-mechanical analysis was carried out and subroutine for heat flux was substituted in the program. The material properties such as specific heat, heat transfer coefficient and thermal expansion coefficient were given as a function of temperature and the latent heat associated with a given temperature range is considered. As a result, the proper beam power is 60kVX60mA and welding speed is 1~1.5 m/min. The residual stress in the heat-affected zone as well as the fusion zone does not increase. It is necessary to use jigs for preventing distortion of cylinder and improving weld quality.

        At processing of a metal process, much problems are happening by mixing between slide-way fluid and water-solubility metal-working fluid(MWF). In this study, measure physical & chemical properties and biodegradable properties of base stock and additives that is used to lubricant, and developed water-soluble metal working fluid by slide-way fluid combined use. Biodegradability of developed combined use fluid for 28 days is displayed lower than 10 ppm, and more superior performance than similar fluids in lubrication special quality test.

        요골 두 아탈구와 동반된 상완골 내 상과 골절 : 1예 보고 A Case Report

        주관절 손산 중 상완골 내 상과 골절은 단독으로 혹은 주관절 탈구와 동반되어 발생하는 것이 일반적이다. 저자들은 15세 남자 환자의 좌측 요골 두 아탈구가 동반된 상완골 내 상과 골절을 경험하였다. 도수 정복을 시도하였으나 요골 두 아탈구의 정복을 얻을 수 없어 관혈적 정복술로 치료하엿다. 6개월추시 결과 후휴증이 없는 정상적인 관절 상태를 확인할 수 있었다. 연령, 원인 , 손상 기전으로 분석해 보면 이 동반 손상은 발생하기 매우 어렵고, 문헌 탐색 결과 현재까지 동일한 증례를 찾아볼 수 없었으므로 보고하는 바이다. It has been known that fracture of medial epicondylar apophysis of distal humerus may be isolated of associated with elbow deslocations. We have experienced a case which medial epicondylar fracture of the distal humerus was associated with subluxation of the radial head. Initially, we had tried reduction of subluxated radial head by closed method, but failed. Finally open reduction gad been performed. At 6 month after open reduction, clinical and radiological result were excellent. As it is difficult for those associated injuries to occur simultaneously and the similar cases never have been reported yet, we would like to present this case with a review of the literature.

        직업적 아크릴아미드 폭로에 의한 다발성 신경병증

        Authors report a first Korean case of polyneuropathy in an acrylamide producing factory together with an environmental and epidemiologic survey for the ten workers of the same workplace and 46 workers in the production and manufacturing acrylamide in Ulsan, Korea. The case is 30 years old man who worked in the production of the acrylamide for two years. In August, 1997, he had a weakness of the lower extremity with loss of body weight of 15 Kg which progressed to paresthesia of the limbs, the loss of vibration sense, difficulty in walking, speech disturbance, dysuria, constipation, difficulty in erection and swallowing difficulty. Neurologic examination showed a complete loss of vibration and position sense, and loss of deep tendon reflex in all the limbs. There was a contact dermatitis-like skin lesion on the feet. Electrodiagnostic test showed a generalized polyneuropathy of moderate degree involving motor and sensory component of peripheral and cranial nerves. After 8 months' cessation from exposure and supportive care, his symptoms were completely resolved, but abnormality in electrodiagnostic test and vibrotactile perception threshold still persisted, although much improved than before. There were 11 workers in the same workplace of the case, producing acrylamide by microorganism as a catalyst. Environmental monitoring of the workplace revealed air borne concentration of the acrylamide to be from 0.05 to 0.23 mg/m3 by personal sampling and from 7.65 to 11.65 mg/m3 by area sampling during filter exchanging process, which far exceeds TLV-TWA of 0.03 mg/m3. However, acrylamide was not detected from the plasma of the workers. Symptom questionnaire showed a markedly higher complain of neurologic symptoms, compared to the workers of the other acrylamide producing companies. Electrodiagnostic test showed a several workers are in the lower normal range without definite abnormality. Vibrotactile perception threshold by Vibratron Ⅱ showed a significantly increased threshold in the workers of the same workplace compared to the other acrylamide workers and significantly decreased test score of color vision compared to normal controls. After improvement of the production process and strict wearing of the protective device, most workers reported the improvement of clinical symptoms, but vibrotactile perception threshold was not improved. These result suggests the need for the effective environmental monitoring together with a periodic biological monitoring. Development of effective screening test is urgently needed to control and assess the skin absorption of acrylamide.

      • 회맹장 및 대장을 침범한 장 결핵에 있어서 바륨을 이용한 방사선 이중조영촬영 소견에 대한 연구

        To determine the characteristic double contrast barium enema findings of ileo-cecal and colonic tuberculosis and to make differential diagnosis from other bowel inflammatory disease. Sixty-seven patients confirmed as ileo-cecal and/or colonic-tuberculosis in six hospitals were evaluated retrospectively. The diagnosis was proven by endoscopic biopsy, surgery, and clinical follow up. Nine of 67 patients were excluded because radiologic findings were normal though endocopic biopsy examinations resulted in tuberculosis. Histopathological diagnosis were madein 58 cases as follows: endoscopic biopsy(n=29), operation(n=12), follow up examination(n=14), tissue culture(n=1), laparoscopic biopsy(n=2). There were 30 men and 28 females. The mean age were 36 yrs(range:16-67), 34 patients were in the second and third decade. The distribution of lesions, morphological characteristics, mucosal changes, ulcer shape and depth, associated with other tuberculous lesion, multiplicity were retrospectively analyzed in the findngs of double contrast barim enema. The commonest clinical symptoms were abdominal pain(n=35, 60%) and diarrhea(n=18, 31%). The chest radiography revealed association of pulmonary tuberculosis in 39 cases. Tuberculous lesions of other organs except chest were present in five cases. Double contrast barium enema findings showed a thickening and irregularity of intestinal mucosal fold(n=29, 50%), bowel contraction and/or shortening(n=26, 45%). There were small, nodular, superficial ulcers in the case of ulcer depth less than 2 mm in the depth. As many as 39 cases(67%) in this series had two or more lesions in the intestinal tuberculosis. The involved segment revealed symmetrical feature(n=21, 36%). Inflammatory pseudopolypoid lesions were noted in 30 cases(52%). The ileo-cecal region was involved in 38 cases(66%). The ascending colon(n=25, 43%) was the second commonest site with or without contiguous cecal involvement. Lesions in terminal ileum, ileo-cecal valve, transverse colon, descending colon and appendix were seen in 19, 18, 18, 12 and seven cases, respectively. Among 18 cases of ileo-cecal valve lesions, there were incompetency in nine cases(16%) and wide gapping in four cases(7%). In 14 cases, tuberculous enterocolitis was diagnosed by clinical follow-up and double contrast barium enema study. 12 out of 14 cases, the findings of double contrast barium enema of tuberculous enterocolitis were normalized after anti-tuberculous medication. However, two cases showed more aggravated state than before due to inappropriate treatment. Double contrast barium enema plays an important role in the diagnosis of tuberculous enterocolitis, determines the type, site and extent of the involvement and helps in treatment guide by using sequential studies.

        고 Mn-Cr 강의 조사손상에 미치는 전자선 조사 온도의 영향

        The effect of electron-beam irradiation temperature on irradiation damage of 12%Cr-15%Mn austenitic steel for structural material of nuclear and/or fusion reactors from the point of view of the reduced activation was investigated by using the 1,250 keV HVEM and an energy dispersed X-ray analyzer(EDX) in a 200 keV FE-TEM with beam diameter of about 0.5 nm. Void formation was not observed in irradiated specimen. The dislocation loop growth was observed and the density and size of dislocation loop were increased with irradiation dose. Irradiation-induced segregations of Cr and Mn at grain boundary were also observed by electron-beam irradiation condition. The amount of Mn segregation was increased with irradiation temperature, however, segregation phenomenon was disappeared in the case of Cr.
