This study is to investigate the diversity of the birds and avifauna in and around Mt. Kumsoo and Mt. Jangtae with focusing on forest type. Mt. Kumsoo consists mainly of natural forest, whereas man-made plantations were found in Mt. Jangtae. Bird diversity was evaluated according to the richness of species. Species richness was higher in Quercus mongolica, Q. variabilis, and Q. serrata-Q. variabilis communities than in Metasequoia glyptostroboides and Picea abies communities, and higher in Castanea crenata, P. koraiensis, Eucommia ulmoides, and P. densiflora communities than in Q. acutissima and Pinus densiflora communities. Nine species of bird discovered in communities of Q. mongolica, Q. variabilis, and Q. serrata-Q. variabilis were not found in M. glyptostroboides and P. abies communities; one species was found in M. glyptostroboides and P. abies communities but not in Q. mongolica, Q. variabilis, and Q. serrata-Q. variabilis communities, and fourteen species were present in all flora. Difference in habitat-use is important because the effect of reforestation on the avian diversity should not be examined only according to forest type, but also should examine the proportion of plantation in each area.

This study was performed to know LAS concentration in the small urban stream and estimate the LAS removal efficiency when apply to natural purification method with variable media. When we used gravel and concrete as media, the average LAS concentration of influent was 819.7㎍/ℓ (112.0 ∼ 1671.0 ㎍/ℓ). The average LAS concentration of effluent gravel media reactor was 58.5 ㎍/ℓ (0 ∼ 158.4 ㎍/ℓ) and average removal efficiency was 93.8%. The average LAS concentration of effluent concrete media reactor was 33.1 ㎍/ℓ (0 ∼ 136.8 ㎍/ℓ) and average removal efficiency was 96.1%. And when we used tire and scrubber, the average LAS concentration of influent was 693.7 ㎍/ℓ (241.5 ∼ 1330.3 ㎍/ℓ). The average LAS concentration of effluent tire media reactor was 88.4 ㎍/ℓ (47.8 ∼ 131.8 ㎍/ℓ) and average removal efficiency was 83.9%. The average LAS concentration of effluent scrubber media reactor was 26.1 ㎍/ℓ(0 ∼ 58.9 ㎍/ℓ) and average removal efficiency was 95.3%.

<P>The purpose of the current study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) who interrupted vascular endothelial growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (VEGFR-TKI) therapy. A retrospective analysis of medical records was performed on all patients with mRCC treated with VEGFR-TKIs between January 2008 and July 2014 (n = 505). Patients who achieved stable disease (SD) or a better response under TKI and later discontinued TKI treatment for any reason with the exception of disease progression were included in the analysis. We identified 32 patients (sunitinib = 20, sorafenib = 7, and pazopanib = 5). The responses to VEGFR-TKIs were complete response (CR, n = 4), partial response (PR, n = 11), SD (n = 15), and controlled but nonmeasurable response (n = 2). Median time to TKI discontinuation from the initiation of VEGFR-TKI therapy was 16.6 months (95 % CI 12.8-20.3), and the main cause of VEGFR-TKI discontinuation was toxicity (n = 19, 59.4 %). At the time of analysis, 16 patients had disease progression and one patient died. With a median follow-up duration of 51.7 months (range 11.5-87.6), median progression-free survival (PFS) after TKI discontinuation was 20.2 months (95 % CI 6.4-34.0). In multivariate analysis, the duration of TKI therapy (< 1 year) before TKI discontinuation was an independent significant prognostic factor of poor PFS (p = 0.045). Among 11 patients who were retreated with the same TKI, two patients (18.2 %) achieved PR and nine achieved SD (81.8 %). VEGFR-TKI could be interrupted at least temporarily when clinically warranted in patients with mRCC sufficiently controlled by TKIs.</P>

연구목적:국소적 진행성 편도암환자에서 수술적치료와 비수술적치료의 결과를 비교 분석하고자 하였다. 연구방법:수술 후 보조방사선요법을 시행한 군과 유도화학요법 시행 유무에 상관없이 근치적 방사선 치료 또는 항암화학-방사선 동시치료를 받은 비수술군의 임상결과를 후향적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과:52.4개월의 중앙 추적기간결과, 대상환자의 중앙 연령은 53세 이었다. 대상 환자 중 병기 Ⅲ, Ⅳ기 환자는 72명 (82.8%)이었고, 49명(56.3%)이 수술적 치료를, 38명(43.7%)명이 비수술적 치료를 받았다. 방사선 조사량외에 양군간의 차이는 없었다 (수술군:60.4Gy, 비수술군:70.2Gy, p=0.02). 비수술군의 전체 생존율은 81.6%이었다. 수술군의 8명(16.3%), 비수술군의 6명 (15.8%)에서 재발이 발생하였다. 흥미로운 사실은 원격재발은 2명 모두 수술군에서 발생하였다. 병기 Ⅲ, Ⅳ기의 5년 무병생존율과 전체생존율은 수술군이 각각 82.1%, 86.9%이고, 비수술군 이 각각 83.3%, 83.1%이었다(p=0.96, p=0.96). 결 론:수술적 치료에 비해 비수술적 치료가 활동능력이 불량한 환자에게 선호되었을 가능성이 있었음에도 불구하고, 치료성적은 비슷하였다. 편도암에서 수술적 치료와 비수술적 치료의 전향적 무작위 비교연구가 필요하다.

전원지향 이주동기에 관한 주요 쟁점은 “삶의 질인가, 경제적 동기인가’ 하는 문제이다. 각 가구의 이주동기에는 양자의 동기가 상호 복잡하게 얽혀 있다. 대도시 중산층이 전원주택으로 이주하는 주요한 동기는 주거와 관련된 삶의 질을 높이려는 것이며, 이는 대도시의 주거환경에 의해 스트레스를 받는 정도와 대도시로부터 벗어날 수 있는 능력에 따라 결정된다. 우리나라 수도권 전원주택 거주자의 사회경제적 속성과 이주동기를 분석한 결과, 도시탈출을 주도하는 인구는 직장 및 교육 문제의 제약으로 인하여 사회경제적 측면에서 선택적인 경향을 보인다. 도시탈출 인구는 도시적 편익을 일정 정도 포기하더라도 전원적 생활양식을 추구하려는 동기에서 수도권 주변지역으로 이주한다 하지만 이들은 도시를 떠나더라도 도시를 버리지는 않으며, 도시의 유익함과 편리함, 그리고 시골의 아름다움과 건강함을 동시에 향유하고자 한다. 한국 사회의 대도시 주민들은 경관 및 생활양식이라는 동기에서 수도권 교외지역으로 이주하고 있는 것이다.

The more sophisticated patterns of propagation model is presented in this paper, which includes three different source characteristics (spherical, cosine and dipole). The spherical, cosine and dipole radiation characteristics compared ,and sound event level and the maximum sound level are calculated by experiment and calculation. It is shown that patterns of propagation have dipole characteristics for low speed range (below about 150km/h) at electric multiple system. We know that push-pull high speed system has cosine characteristics of noise propagation at low speed range (below about 200km/h).
