      • ECAP 강가공에 의한 5083 Al 합금의 초소성 변형

        초기 결정립 크기가 200 μm인 상업용 5083 Al 합금에서 equal channel anglar pressing(ECAP) 강가공에 의하여 결정립을 초미세화 시킬 수 있었다. ECAP는 200℃에서 수행되었고, 반복 passes시 180˚ 회전을 주면서 같은 시편에 8 passes까지 강가공을 가하였다. 미세조직 특징은 1 pass후 평균 0.2 μm의 폭과 0.8 μm의 길이를 갖는 연신된 평행한 bands가 균일하게 형성 되었고, 4 passes후 결정립 크기가 약 0.3 μm인 등축의 초미세 결정립이 얻어졌다. 이러한 초미세 결정립을 갖는 5083 Al 합금에서 저온 초소성 성질이 얻어졌는데, 약 0.5 μm의 결정립 크기를 갖을 때 250℃이하의 온도에서 연신율이 200 %이상인 초소성 거동을 나타내었다. An ultrafine grained structure was introduced into a commercial 5083 Al alloy with the initial grain size of ∼200 μm using the equal channel angular pressing technique. Equal channel angular pressing was successfully conducted at 200℃ and the results showed that the microstructure was reasonably homogeneous after single passage and consisted of parallel bands of elongated substructure having the average width of 0.2 μm and the average length of 0.8 μm. Repetitive passes were conducted on the same sample up to total 8 passes through the die so that the sample was rotated 180˚ around its longitudanal axis between passes. An equiaxed ultrafine grained structure of ∼0.3 μm was obtained in the present alloy after 8 passes. It was found that a 5083 Al alloy with the grain size of ∼ 0.3 μm exhibited a superplastic-like behavior with elongation to failure in excess of 200% below.

        방선균주 7489가 생산하는 DNA Topoisomerase 1 저해제에 관한 연구

        미생물로 부터 topoisomerase Ⅰ저해물질을 탐색하던 중 Streptomyces melanosporofaciens 7489 균주가 topoisomerase 활성을 저해하는 것을 발견하였다. 이에 균주가 생산하는 활성물질을 분리정제한 후 구조를 결정하였고 정제된 물질에 대한 활성을 조사하였다. 균체로 부터 acetone 추출, ethyl acetate 추출, silica gel column chromatography, preparative TLC 및 HPLC등을 통하여 topoisomerase 저해물질 7489-1을 정제한 후 UV, ^1H-NMR, ^13C-NMR, DEPT and EI-MS등의 기기분석을 한 결과 저해물질은 dibutyl phthalate로 결정되었다. 789-1의 topoisomerase Ⅰ 저해활성은 1μM에서 10μM까지 점진적으로 감소하였으며 25μM에서 완전히 저해되었다. During the screening of inhibitor of DNA topoisomerase I from microbial secondary metabolites, Streptomyces melanosporofaciens 7489 which was capable of producing high level of inhibitor was selected from soil. The active compound (7489-1) which was capable of producing high level of inhibitor was selected from soil. The active compound (7489-1) was purified from the culture broth by solvent extraction, silica gel column chromatography and HPLC. The inhibitor was identified as dibutyl phthalate by spectroscopic methods of UV, ^1H-NMR, ^13C-NMR, DEPT and EI-MS. 7489-1 showed a strong inhibitory activity against topoisomerase I with 10 μM of IC_50 value.

        Actinomycosis is a chronic infection of inhibitant oral bacteria, especially Actinomyces israelii. A. israelii are Gram positive, non acid-fast, anaerobic, filamentous organisms. The most frefguent form of actinomycosis is the cervicofacial type. Its involved skin is purplished red and indurated, tending to form multiple draining sinus tract. The characteristic “sulfur granule”appear in the abscess center. The infection of the soft tissue may extend to involve the mandible or less commomly, the maxilla. The treatment is antibiotic therapy and adequete drainage. We experienced actinomycosis occured in chin area and treated this disease with antibiotics &surgical drainage. The patient showed good prognosis.

      • 만성신부전증 환자에서 Recombinant Human Erythropoietin 치료에 따른 혈액지표와 Hemoglobin A1c에 대한 연구

        Hemoglobin A1c is produced by a progressive, non-enzymatic reaction between glucose and hemoglobin within the erythrocytes. The HbA1c concentration is dependent on the plasma glucose level and the stage of development of the erythrocytes. Immature erythrocytes contain lower levels of glycosylated hemoglobin than mature erythrocytes. HbA1c level was decreased in short RBC life span. Therefore, HbA1c level is not only measure for assessment of moderate to long term glycemic status in diabetics, but also as a possible diagnostic parameter of anemia. The aim of this study was to evaluate the HbA1c level in patients with chronic renal failure with anemia. HbA1c concentration, iron, ferritin, TIBC and hematologic parameters were measured before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of recombinant human erythropoietin. The HbA1c concentration was measured by high performance liquid chromatography with cation exchange column (Pharmacia). The results were as follows; 1. The mean of hemoglobin was 8.66 g/dL in the controls and 7.84 g/dL in the patients with chronic renal failure. The mean of hematocrit was 25.19 % in the controls and 23.14 % in the patients with chronic renal failure. The mean of MCV was 93.23 fL in the controls and 92.73 fL in the patients with chronic renal failure. The mean of MCH was 32.56 pg in the controls and 31.76 pg in the patients with chronic renal failure. The mean of HbA1c was 3.15 % in the controls and 2.95 % in the patients with chronic renal failure. 2. Hematologic parameters in the patients with chronic renal failure 1) The results of hemoglobins were 7.84 g/dL, 8.11 g/dL, 8.92 g/dL, the MCH were 31.76 pg, 32.87 pg, 33.20 pg, the results of MCV were 92.73 fL, 97.37 fL, 92.85 fL at before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of r-HuEpo. 2) The results of hematocrits were 23.14 %, 23.73 %, 26.73 % at before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of r-HuEpo. 3. Iron metabolism parameters in the patients with chronic renal failure 1) The results of iron test were 180.92 ㎍/dL, 137.79 ㎍/dL, 126.83 ㎍/dL at before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of r-HuEpo. 2) The results of ferritin test were 1500.2 ng/ml, 1311.6 ng/ml, 1151.0 ng/ml at before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of r-HuEpo. 3) The results of TIBC test were 282.17 ㎍/dL, 282.45 ㎍/dL, 278.83 ㎍/dL at before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of r-HuEpo. 4. The results of HbA1c test were 2.95 %, 3.08 %, 3.18 % at before treatment and 1, 2 months after administration of r-HuEpo. It is suggested that, in patients with chronic renal failure, evaluation of HbA1c in diabetics who have anemia with chronic renal failure should be consider possible hematologic parameters, and HbA1c level would be one of the marker of anemia status, but further studies are needed.

        Seasonal phenology and damage by Singapora shinshana (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) and other leafhoppers on ornamental trees in Korea

        Singapora shinshana is a leafhopper native to mid-Asia with a specific host range and is one of the least studied species within the genus. Recently, the species has been found to cause significant damage to host plants including ornamental trees, normally inflicted by its sucking behavior. This study uncovered more details on host and season preference of S. shinshana, damage potential and symptoms caused by its feeding behavior on ornamental trees in Korea, in addition to other records of other leafhoppers of economic importance. During the sticky trap survey period from 2017 to 2019, 12 leafhopper species were recovered from the eight selected ornamental tree species. Singapora shinshana was the most dominant species, constituting 94.8% of the total collected leafhopper population; with its highest incidence observed on Prunus serrulata, followed by Elaeagnus umbellata and Pseudocydonia sinensis. The high abundance on P. serrulata correlated with high damaged leaf percentages of 94.2%, 95.2%, and 98.1% in October 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively. Interestingly, in terms of damaged leaf percentage, Rosa hybrida and Zelkova serrata were the second and third most damaged hosts despite the significantly lower population of the leafhopper on these trees. Furthermore, S. shinshana counts increased from late-July to late-September, with the peak evident during early August. Prunus serrulata can therefore be taken as one of the main host plants of S. shinshana. However, the potential of the host to suffer damage is not limited to population densities of the pest alone but also susceptibility and tolerance of the host plant.

        Methanol extracts of 30 different plants collected in Jeju Island were tested for α-glucosidase inhibition. When the final concentration of extracts was 0.2㎎/㎖ for each sample, Ardisia japornica Blume. showed 91%, 92% and 87% of inhibition for maltase, sucrase, and nonspecific α-glucosidase activity, respectively. Potentilla chinensis inhibited maltase and sucrase activities for 90% and 82%, respectively. Euphorbia helioscopia exerted 90% and 88% inhibition for maltase and nonspecific α-glucosidase activity, respectively.

        현대인의 기호에 맞는 지리산 반발효차(구황차)를 개발하기 위하여 옛날 제차법이 보존되어 있는 절간의 기술에 새로운 과학기법을 접목하여 개발한 차의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 총질소함량은 고온황토방의 녹차에 비하여 황토방의 녹차의 함량이 다소 높았다. 2. 총아미노산, 카페인 및 비타민-C함량은 황토방과 고온황토방의 제차방법에 따른 차이는 그다지 높지 않았다. 3. Geraniol함량은 황토방의 녹차(2회차)가 2.4%이며, 고온황토방의 녹차에 비하여 높은 경향이었다. 4. Pyrrole류의 pyrrole성분은 고온황토방이 다소 높았으나, ethyl pyrrole는 황토방에서 조성비가 현저히 높았다. 5. 꽃향기에 기여하는 Jasmone함량은 고온황토방의 녹차에서 조성비가 다소 높았다. The amounts of total amino acid, caffeine and Vit. C in green tea were not difference according to yellow soil according to making method 3. The amount of geraniol in green tea was high tendency of yellow soil room(2.4%) than high temperature of yellow soil room 4. The component of pyrrole, in green tea was a few high such as high temperature yellow soil room, but the ethyl pyrrole was high ratio with yellow soil room. 5.       • 主觀的인 評價에 의한 靑少年의 肥滿傾向 分析

        This study was conducted to analyze the tendency of obesity by subjective evaluation method in measuring the skinfold thickness in adolescents. The validity norms were height, weight, the sum of skinfold thickness, Db1, %Fat1, %Fat2, and BMI. The subjects surveyed were 2,442 boy and girl students of middle and high school in medium and small city and big city. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Weight of adolescents evaluated as obesity was over 76㎏ in boy's middle, over 67㎏ in gril's middle school, over 79㎏ in boy's high school, and over 68㎏ in girl's high school, the sum of skinfold thickness was over 40㎜, over 39㎜, over 54㎜, and over 41㎜ respectively. 2. Except the case of height in girl's middle, boy's high and girl's high school, in height in boy's middle, weight, the skinfold thickness, Db1, %Fat1, %Fat2, and BMI, difference among the degree of obesity evaluated subjectively was significant(p<.05). 3. Except heigh in girl's middle, boy's and girl's high school, correlation between the degree of obesity evaluated subjectively and height in girl's middle school, weight, the sum of skinfold thickness, Db1, %Fat1, %Fat2, BMI respectively was high and significant(p<.01 or p<.001) Therefore, on the basis of above results, I think we can evaluate the tendency of obesity in adolescents validly by subjective evaluation method as well.

        In order to screen the new β-lactam antibiotics for clinical use. we were compared MIC values of various β-lactam antibiotics. We also tested the influence of pH, inoculum size, stability of antibiotics in medium and some kinds of media on MIC value. As a result, cefotaxime, cefoperazone, piperacillin, cefamandole, cephaloridine, cephapirin, cefazolin, cephalothin, cephaioylycn were scored in antimicrobial activity of MIC data.

      • 내용기반 이미지 검색을 위한 문자-에지 맵의 특징을 이용한 자연이미지에서의 텍스트 영역 추출

        자연이미지에 포함된 텍스트는 많은 중요한 정보를 포함하고 있다. 그러므로 자연이미지에서 텍스트를 추출할 수 있다면 다양한 분야에서 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 문자-에지 맵 패턴 히스토그램을 분석함으로서 텍스트 영역을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 첫 번째 단계로, Canny 에지 검출기로 에지를 추출하여 16가지 에지 맵을 생성하고, 두 번째 단계로 16가지 에지 맵을 조합하여 문자 특징을 갖는 8가지 문자-에지 맵을 생성한다. 세 번째 단계로 8가지 문자-에지 맵과 16가지 에지 맵을 이용하여 텍스트 후보 영역을 추출 하고, 마지막으로 텍스트 후보 영역에 대한 검증은 문자-에지 맵의 패턴 히스토그램 및 텍스트 영역의 구조적 특징을 이용하여 수행하였다. 실험결과 제안한 방법은 복잡한 배경, 다양한 글꼴, 다양한 텍스트 컬러로 구성된 자연이미지에서 텍스트 영역을 효과적으로 추출하였다. The text to be included in the natural images has many important information. Therefore, if we can extract the text in natural images, it can be applied to many important applications. In this paper, we propose a text region extraction method using pattern histogram of character-edge maps. In the first step, we extract edges with the Canny edge detector and create 16 kinds of edge maps from the extracted edges. In the second step, we make 8 kinds of character-edge maps that has a character features with combination of edge maps. In the third step, we extract a text regions using 8 kinds of character-edge maps and 16 kinds of edge maps. Finally, verification about candidate of the text regions uses pattern histogram of character-edge maps and structural features of text regions. The proposed method is experimented with various kinds of natural images. Experimental results show that the proposed method extracts a text regions composed of complex background, various letters, various text colors effectively.
