희생양극을 이용한 자동차 소음기의 음극방식에 관한 연구

In order to apply a sacrificial anode cathodic protection system for automotive muffler materials, determination of reliable sacrificial anode and its protection ability were evaluated by laboratory tests in synthetic condensed water. Three kinds of sacrificial anodes were selected: aluminum (AI), zinc (Zn) and magnesium (Mg), and the muffler materials were Al-coated steel and uncoated steel. The corrosion behavior in synthetic condensed water for the muffler materials and sacrificial anodes was investigated by potentiodynamic tests. The cathodic protection ability was evaluated by galvanic corrosion test and weight-loss test. The results of the potentiodynamic test indicated that Al was less suitable for sacrificial anode because it became passive. Mg was also unqualified due to the high dissolution rate. However, Zn was adequate for sacrificial anode because of its low dissolution rate, high stability and suitable potential difference. Results of weight-loss test demonstrated that the corrosion rate of Al-coated steel was reduced from 0.028 to 0.018 mm/year, and that of uncoated steel was 0.08 to 0.002 mm/year by coupling with Zn anode. In addition, the proper area ratio of anode to cathode was 1 : 10. From these results, it can be concluded that Zn anode can protect both the Al-coating with passivation, and steel substrate with low dissolution rate. (Received January 8, 2004)

The tidal flow regime at the shallow sea area is usually decided by topographical factors, such as forms of shorelines, bottom topography, channel, sand bar or tidal flat, etc. This study is on the Keum River Estuary, which appears exactly phenomenons of tide caused by complicated topographical changes, and it is inquired out or not change of depth and current on numerical experiments before and after constructed estuary dike.

국내 감마선투과검사용 조사장치는 1,000여대로 2,500여명의 종사자가 대부분 수동으로 원격 조작하는 실정으로 작업의 효율화와 방사선피폭 저감화를 위하여 자동 원격조작기의 사용이 요구된다. 이에 연구팀은 실무에 적합한 토크와 안전계수로부터 54kgf·㎝의 출력을 지닌 24V, 200W의 BLDC모터를 이용하여 0.4∼1.2 m/s 범위의 선원 이동속도를 조절할 수 있는 구동장치와 RF 센서로 구동 속도 조절, 광전센서에 의한 선원 위치 및 timer로 노출시간을 제어할 수 있는 무선 원격조작기를 개발하였다. 이와 같이 개발한 자동원격조작기는 AC와 DC 겸용, 그리고 기존의 수동 원격조작기에 탈착이 가능하여 자동과 수동을 겸용할 수 있는 경제적 이점 등으로 활용도가 클 것으로 기대된다. Recently, gamma radiographic equipments have been used about 1,000 sets manually and operated by about 2,500 persons in Korea. In order for a radiography to work effectively with avoiding any hazard of the high level radiation from the source, many field workers have expected developing a wireless automatic remote exposure controller. The KITCO research team has developed an automatic remote exposure controller that can regulate the speed of 0.4∼1.2 m/s by BLDC motor of 24V 200W which has output of 54 kgf·㎝, suitable torque and safety factor for the work. And the developed automatic remote exposure controller can control rpm of motor, pigtail position by photo-sensor and exposure time by timer to RF sensor. Thus, the developed equipment is expected that the unit can be used in many practical applications with benefits in economical advantage to combine the use of both automatic and manual type because attachment is possible existent manual remote exposure controller, AC and DC combined use.

In this study, the characteristics of CO₂conversion and glow discharge were investigated using glow discharge plasma reactor with a parallel copper electrode system. A pure CO₂ gas was used for the carrier gas under gas pressure of 10∼80 torr in a glow discharge. For glow discharge, discharge current was increased with the increase of discharge voltage. In the case of constant discharge voltage, the discharge current tend to increase with the decreasing of gas pressure. Using pure CO₂only, the CO₂conversion was increased with the increase of discharge power and the decreased of gas pressure. The maximum CO₂ conversion was 28% at 10 torr, 598 W, 902.4V. Energy yield was decreased with the increase of discharge power and discharge voltage. Also, the concentrations of CO₂and O₂in the produced gas were slightly increased with the increase of CO₂ conversion.

The objective of paper is to study the reinforcing effects of fiber volume fraction and aspect ratio in short-fiber filled ceramic matrix composites. The parameters of fracture mechanics, K and J are applied to assess fracture toughness and bridging effect. It is found that fracture toughness is greatly influenced by the fiber bridging, Also, the nonlinear fracture analysis such as J-integral is more effective than LEFM for short-fiber reinforced ceramic matrix composites. For the reinforcing effects as functions of fiber volume fraction and aspect ratio, fracture toughness is increased rapidly with fiber volume fraction and aspect ratio as expected.

The purpose of this study is to find the method which minimizes the anti-function of development in the coastal region of Saemangeum area. Therefore, the construction of submerged breakwater could minimizes and compensate the negative impacts on the marine environment and ecosystem caused by the Saemangeum reclamation. The construction of submerged breakwater is the possibility of mitigation of mitigation in the fisheries ground. This study investigated experimentally hydraulic characteristics by change of the crest width, submergence and porosity.

In this study, a fiber-optic bundle sensor has been developed using water-equivalent organic scintillating fibers for photon beam measurement. Beam penumbra and percent depth doses(PDD) are measured according to the depth of the photon beam. This sensor has many advantages such as high resolution, real-time measurement and ease of calibration over conventional radiation measurement devices.
