        I.Influence of deficient or excessive supply of soil moisture. The variety used in this study were Turkish varieties (Smyrna, Samsun, Zichna and Xanthi). Soil moisture content were 30%, 45% and 60% to maximum water-holding capacity for whole growth period. This experiment was carried out to study on the influence of soil moisture to growth and physiology of Turkish varieties. The results are summarized as follow ; a. Dry weight of Samsun and Zichna were-increased at 45% soil moisture content, but Smyrna and Xanthi at 60%. In every soil moisture treatmennt, there were significant difference between D plot and M, W plot but there were no significant difference between M plot and W plot. b. Percentage of dry matter of Smyrna was higher then those of the other varieties in the D plot and W plot. c. Leaf area was increased ill the Samsun of which process was slightly late. In every soil moisture treatment, M plot and W plot were higher than D plot. d. Dry weight per unit leaf area of Smyrna and Zichna were higher than that of Xanthi and Samsun. e. Percentage of dried up leaves was the W plot, and lower at the D and M plot. Smyrna was lower at M plot, Zichna at D and M plot, Xanthi at D plot, but Samsun was no difference among plots. f. In the number of harvested leaves, Smyrna was increased in order W>M>D. In the number of harvested leaves, Smyrna showed difference according to the soil moisture in order W>M>D plot, but Samsun and Zichna showed no difference among each treatments, Xanthi was higher in M plot than D and W plot. From those results, Smyrna showed the highest dry weight on account of the weight of leaf area and percentage of dry weight increased, it was decreased in order Zichna>Samsun Xanthi in the each soil moisture contents. Number of harvested leaves, dried up leaves, leaf area and number of harvested leaves but decreased, percentage of dry matter W treatment increased the number of total leaves, number of dried up leaves, leaf area, percentage of dried up leaves and percentage of dry matter. Yields were the lowest at D treated, there were no difference between M and W treatment. II.Influence of deficient or excessive supply of soil moisture at different growing stages. This experiment was carried out to study on the influence to the growth and physiology according to the soil moisture content during each growth stage on Turkish varieties culture. The varieties used in this study were Samsun, Zichna and Xanthi. The results are summarized as follow; a. Dry leaf weight was decreased in order Zichna>Samsun>Xanthi, there were remakable difference among every variety. In each soil moisture content, weight of dry matter was increased by M and W treated at late stage after MW and MM treated at early and middle stage of growth DWM and MDM plot. Dry leaf weight was decreased at D plot more than M and W plot late stage after early stage was treated by MW and MM. Dry leaf weight was the highest at WWM treate, dthere were high significant difference between varieties and soil moisture contents. b. Percentage of dry matter was decreased in order Zichna=Xanthi>Samsun. In soil moisture treated, it was increased in D treated at the latter stage after MM, MW and WM treated at early and middle stage, but it was decreased by DDM, DWD, MDM, WWD, WMM, and WWM treated. There were high significant interaction between varieties and soil moisture contents. c. Leaf area showed in order Samsun=Zichna>Xanthi. In soil moisture treated, leaf area was increased by WM, MM and MW treated at the middle and latter stage after D treated at early stage, but it was decreased at WWD, WMD, WWM, MWD and MMD treated. d. Dry weight per unit leaf area were no difference among varieties, in soil moisture treated, it was increased by the MMW, MWD, MMD, WMD and DMW treated, weight of per unit leaf area showed significant difference interaction between varieties and soil moisture contents. d. Percentage of dried up leaves showed as follow, Samsun>Xanthi, Samsun=Zichna, Zihna=Xanthi. In soil moisture treated, it was increased by M and W treated at early stage than D treated. f. Number of harvested leaves was decreased in order Xanthi>Samsun>Zichna, there were no difference among soil moisture contents, but appeard high significant difference at the interaction between varieties and soil moisture contents. As the results of this experiment, especially, this experiment will be continue on the influence of soil moisture condition in order to development of home production system.

        BOHR’S INEQUALITIES IN n-INNER PRODUCT SPACES

        The classical Bohr's inequality states that |z + w|2 ≤p|z|2 + q|w|2 for all z,w∈C and all p,q > 1 with 1/p +1/q = 1. In this paper, Bohr's inequality is generalized to the setting of n-inner product spaces for all positive conjugate expo-nents p,q∈R. In particular, the parallelogram law is recovered and an interesting operator inequality is obtained.

      • Image Coding and Processing in Personal Computer

        A simple technique based on PC image coding is developed to simulate a printer output of a picture on the monitor screen in a PC. During the process of .simulation of the printed image produced by the selected matrix printer, the image ,processing techniques are applied Most ,importantly, a palette consists of 20 pre-defined gray levels is read through by a scanner and the resulted file is seat to the PC for subsequent processing and analysis.

      • Top quark forward-backward asymmetry

        The recent forward-backward asymmetry recorded by the CDF Collaboration for the top and anti-top quark pair production indicates more than 2σ deviation from the Standard Model prediction, while its total production cross section remains consistent. We propose a W<SUP>'</SUP> boson that couples to down and top quarks. We identify the parameter space that can give rise a large enough forward-backward asymmetry without producing too many top and anti-top quark pairs. Other models presented previously in the literature that can produce such effects are also briefly discussed.

        MPCA 기반의 통계기법을 이용한 진공펌프 상태진단에 관한 연구

        반도체 공정에 사용되는 진공펌프는 가혹한 운전조건과 비선형적 특성으로 인하여 고장시점을 정확히 예측해내기가 어려운데 이로 인해 불량품이 양산되거나 불필요한 재원이 낭비되는 등의 문제가 발생하게 된다. 따라서 펌프의 운전상태를 올바르게 모니터링하고 고장 지점을 정확히 인지해 적절한 펌프 교체 시점을 알려주는 진공펌프 상태진단 모델의 개발은 매우 시급하고도 중대한 문제라 할 수 있겠다. 본 연구에서는 다변량 통계기법을 이용하여 영향력 있는 인자들을 종합적으로 고려하였으며 최종적으로 Hotelling's T2 통계량을 이용한 진공펌프 상태진단 모델을 제안하였다. 핵심적인 알고리즘으로는 Multiway Principal Component Analysis(MPCA)와 Dynamic Time Warping Algorithm(DTW Algorithm) 기법 등이 사용되었다. In semiconductor process, it is so hard to predict an exact failure point of the vacuum pump due to its harsh operation conditions and nonlinear properties, which may causes many problems, such as production of inferior goods or waste of unnecessary materials. Therefore it is very urgent and serious problem to develop diagnostic models which can monitor the operation conditions appropriately and recognize the failure point exactly, indicating when to replace the vacuum pump. In this study, many influencing factors are totally considered and eventually the monitoring model using multivariate statistical methods is suggested. The pivotal algorithms are Multiway Principal Component Analysis(MPCA), Dynamic Time Warping Algorithm(DTW Algorithm), etc.

        첨단공정용 드라이펌프 유량 측정 한계 향상기술 개발

        차세대 반도체 및 디스플레이 산업용 드라이펌프의 배기속도를 평가하기 위해 최소부피 22 L 급의 정적형 유량계를 설계/제작 하였다. 정적형 유량계의 기본 평가항목인 base pressure와 leak rate 측정결과 각각 $6{\times}10^{-8}\;mbar$ 와 $1.5{\times}10^{-6}\;mbar-L/s$로 측정되었고 throughput limit의 경우 기존 875 L 급보다 1 order 낮은 $1{\times}10^{-3}\;mbar-L/s$ 영역까지 확대되었음이 확인되었다. 구축된 시스템을 이용해 배기용량이 적은 최신 공정 드라이 펌프까지도 배기속도 값을 정확히 측정할 수 있으며, 구축비용이 높은 정압형 유량계를 어느 정도 대체할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. The constant volume flow meter system (the chamber volume in the 22 L class) was developed to estimate the pumping speed of the dry pump used for the industry of the next generation semiconductor and display. In order to insure the validity of the system, The base pressure and the leak rate in the enclosed system were checked, which were the $6{\times}10^{-8}\;mbar$ and $1.5{\times}10^{-6}\;mbar-L/s$, respectively. Furthermore, it is also confirmed that the value of throughput limit in this system was as much as 1 order of magnitude lower than that in a previously developed system in the 875 L class. By using this developed system, the pumping speed of the new small dry pump was measured. It is believed that the new developed system can be alternating the expensive constant pressure flow meter system in the range of $1{\times}10^{-2}\;mbar-L/s{\sim}1{\times}10^{-3}\;mbar-L/s$.

        The Efficacy of Herbal Supplement Danggui Buxue Tang for Relieving Menopausal Symptoms

        Objectives: This study aimed to further explore the efficacy and safety of Danggui Buxue Tang (DBT), a simple herbal formula, for improving the quality of life of women suffering from menopausal symptoms. Methods: A third clinical trial to determine the clinical efficacy of high-dose DBT for a period of 12 weeks was carried out. The standard Menopause-Specific Quality of Life (MENQOL) assessment chart was used for the evaluation. Safety was defined as an absence of direct estrogenic effects, serum inflammatory cytokines. Notably, interleukin IL-6, IL-8 and tumor necrosis factor TNF-α, known to be directly related to estrogenic reactions in menopause studies, were monitored. Results: The third clinical trial indicated an overall improvement in the four domains of MENQOL, offering further proof of the efficacy of DBT demonstrated in the two previous trials. The serial checks of the three cytokines related to estrogen activities did not show either upward or downward trends. The haphazard behavior reactions of the three cytokines offered indirect indications that DBT improved the MENQOL independently from estrogen activities. Conclusions: The three clinical trials using DBT to relieve menopausal syndrome have offered solid evidence for its efficacy. The uncertainty regarding whether the “phytoestrogen” contained in DBT had bioactivities similar to estrogen was alleviated through the confirmation that no strict estrogenic bioactivities were observed. The issue of safety was further clarified via laboratory platform studies on DBT, which not only showed the lack of similarity with estrogen actions but also confirmed the value of combining the two herbs in the classic formula.
