        유전체 연구를 위한 Well-plate 자동 교환 시스템의 개발

        In this study, the automatic system exchanging well-plates was developed as a basic stage of the genome project. The developed system consisted of the plate fixing well-plates, the well-plate cassette, the head to move a well-plate from the well-plate cassette to the plate fixing well-plates before genome work or from the plate to the cassette after the work, the manipulator to move the head on the X, Y and Z axes and the control system. The performance test to exchange well-plates with the robotic system developed was carried out. The time to set an well-plate from the weD-plate cassette onto the board fixing well-plates was 55 seconds and the time for 9 ones was 8 minutes and 15 seconds. It took 57 seconds to move a well-plate from the board to the cassette and 8 minutes and 33 seconds for 9 ones.

        색상 측정 기기를 이용한 복합레진 적층 수복과 단일 수복의 색상 비교 분석

        Objectives: This study analyzed the difference in color caused by different thickness in enamel layer of composite resins when applied with single and layering placement technique, and evaluated if the results agreed with the shade guide from the manufacturers to verify reliability of the color matching process of the manufacturers. Materials and Methods: For single composite resin samples, 6 mm diameter and 4 mm thickness cylindrical samples were fabricated using Ceram-X mono (DENTSPLY DeTrey) and CIE L*a*b* values were measured with spectrophotometer. Same process was done for layering compositie resin samples, making 3 dentinal shade samples, 4 mm thickness, for each shade using Ceram-X duo (DENTSPLY DeTrey) and enamel shade resins were layered in 2 mm thickness and CIE L*a*b* values were measured. These samples were ground to 0.2 mm thickness each time, and CIE L*a*b* values were measured to 1 mm thickness of enamel shade resin. Results: Color difference (△E*) between single and layering composite resin was 1.37 minimum and 10.53 maximum when layering thicknesses were between 1 mm and 2 mm and 6 out of 10 same shade groups suggested by manufacturer showed remarkable color difference at anythickness (△E* > 3.3). Conclusion: When using Ceram-X mono and duo for composite resin restoration, following the manufacturer's instructions for chossing the shade is not appropriate, and more accurate information for Ceram-X duo is needed on the variation and expression of the shades depending on the thickness of the enamel.         The performance tests for an 87 PS 4-cylinder 4-cycle gasoline engine were carried out in order to measure the heat balances in various operating conditions. The experimental apparatus is equiped with 130kW eddy current dynamometer. In the heat balance diagram of the engine, mechanical losses could be quite accurately estimated by substracting shaft power from indicated power of the engine since the indicated power was obtained from indicator diagram by a piezo-electric pressure sensor located at the cylinder head and the shaft power was measured by the eddy current dynamometer. The typical results obtained in this study can be summarized as follows. First, The best engine performance shows around 2000 rpm of the engine speed in most running conditions. Second, The heat transfer rate to cooling water and to exhaust gas as well as output and frictional works change considerably with the engine speed and boost pressure. However, the extra losses(those are, heat transfers to oil, air, ete.) do not change much with respect to them. Third, The rate of mechanical loss increases as engine speed increases, but, at the same engine speed, the rate of mechanical loss does not change much as boost pressure varies.

        The definition of traditional 2-DS power factor current and co-ordinate did not represent clearly relation to power facter in circuit with nonlinear thyristor loads. A new simulator for performance evaluation of Active Power Filter (APF) by 3-D space current co-ordinate applicale to general power system have not been developed, because reserchers were merely interested in improvement of source current waveforms by using APF or its simulator. Moreover, There was not APF simulator with power analysis capability which was developed for the better. Current was decomposed by active, reactive, distortion, by digital correlation signal proccessing techique based on Nowomiejski theory. Therefore, A new 3-D space current co-ordinate composited by 3 current components was defined in this paper. A new 3-D space current co-ordinate was shown state and location of current vector by trajectories with 3-D co-ordinate rotation. It evidently has excellent performance not only performsance evaluation method of APF but alse evaluation method of general power system, not conventional domain but other domain. By proposed 3-D soace co-ordinate, space power factor is derived, the true state of physical meaning is proved, new distortion factor was proposed, this study was proved true state of appropriation throughout development of simulator for APF performance evaluation with power analysis capability.

        대퇴-슬상부 슬와동맥간 우회로술 후 자가정맥 이식편과 인조혈관 이식편의 성적비교

        Purpose: Though it has been well known that the autologous vein graft is conduit of choice for infragenicular leg artery bypass, it is still less clear for above-knee femoro-popliteal artery bypass. we attempted to evaluate the outcomes of reversed saphenous vein graft in comparison with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) graft in above-knee femoro-popliteal bypasses for the patients with chronic arterial occlusive disease. Method: In a period of 7 years and 9 months, 108 above-knee femoro-popliteal bypasses were performed in 96 patients (91 male, 5 female, mean age 67.3 years). The indications for bypass operation were short distance claudication 54 (50%), rest pain in 36 (33%), and toe, foot ulcer or gangrene in 18 (17%) limbs. As bypass conduit, autologouse reversed saphenous vein was used in 67 limbs, and PTFE graft in 41 limbs. We compared early (<31 days) postoperative complications, primary patency rates of grafts, and late outcomes of the limbs with proven graft occlusion between 2 patients groups (vein graft group vs. PTFE graft group). Primary cumulative graft patency rate were determined by Kaplan Meier method and compared them with log-rank test. Result: Early postoperative complications were not singificantly different between two groups. During the follow-up period, 20 (18.5%) grafts were lost to follow-up and 14 patients were dead. Primary cumulative patency rates at 1, 3, 5 years were 97.44±, 91.11±4.94%, and 75.92±14.46% for vein grafts and 81.76±7.49%, 36.15±13.42, and 36.15±13.42% for PTFE grafts respectively. Conclusion: In the patients underwent autologous vien graft for above-knee femoro-popliteal bypass, we experienced significantly better long-term patency, less serious surgical complication and less severe recurrent ischemic symptom after graft occlusion than in patients with PTFE graft.

      • 만성 견비통에 대한 동씨침 치료의 무작위 대조군의 임상 연구

        Objectives : To observe the effect of acupuncture treatment in chronic shoulder pain patients. Methods : 36 voluntary patients were randomly assigned to an acupuncture treatment group(E GrouP, n=18) and a control group(C GrouP, n=18). The E Group patients received acupuncture treatment on LI_(15), TE_(14), GB_(21) and Master Dong's acupuncture points, Shin-gwan and Gyun-joong, twice a week for four weeks. The C Group patients received no treatment. All patients in both groups were instructed to practise self exercise in their daily lives. Evaluations were made at baseline and after four weeks of study. The Constant Shoulder Assessment(CSA), Shoulder Pain and Disability Index(SPADI) and the patient's subjective pain was measured by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). The obtained data was analyzed. Results '. The E Group showed significant(p<0.05) improvement in CSA, SPADI and VAS after four weeks of treatment. The C Group showed significant(p<0.05) improvement in CSA, but the change of SPADI and VAS was insignificant(P>0.05). CSA and SPADI of E Group significantly(p<0.05) improved compared to the C GrouP, but the difference of VAS change in the two groups was insignificant(p>0.05). Conclusions : Four weeks of acupuncture treatment significantly improved CSA, SPADI and VAS. The improvement of CSA and SPADI was significant(p<0.05) compared to untreated patients.

        평면 고위 결찰술 및 함입 발거술을 이용한 하지 정맥류의 치료 경험

        Purpose: Flush high ligation of the saphenofemoral or saphenopoplieal junction combined with invaginated stripping of the greater saphenous vein to just below the knee or perforate invaginate stripping of the proximal lesser saphenous vein appears to be the method of choice for good clinical results and low incidence of damage to the saphenous or sural nerve, and is important in the prevention of recurrence. Method: From January 2001 to August 2001, we performed 84 operations for 72 patients with varicose veins. Among them, 77 flush high ligations (62 saphenofemoral and 15 saphenopopliteal) and 64 invaginated strippings (55 greater and 9 lesser saphenous veins) were performed. Result: Seventy seven flush high ligations were successfully performed in all patients, but 2 invaginated strippings were failed due to their large branches of greater saphenous veins. All of 9 proximal invaginated strippings for lesser saphenous veins were completely performed without any complications. As early postoperative complications related with invaginated strippings for greater saphenous veins, 24 (43.6%) cases of ecchymosis and 5 (9.1%) cases of paresthesia were occurred at thigh. One case of wound infection at popliteal fossa and 3 cases of wound inflammation at inguinal area were occurred. But those complications were recovered within 10 days. Conclusion: The results show that the invaginated stripping is very useful for patients with varicose veins, especially in stripping of lesser saphenous veins and the flush high ligation is safe for the treatment of junctional incompetence.

      • 도시공간의 유휴공간 활용방안에 관한 연구 : 서울시 내의 유휴공간을 중심으로

        서울의 도시공간의 기능과 역할은 재검토되어야 한다. 도시는 단순히 한 부분의 편익만을 위한 공간이어서는 안되며, 다양한 이용자의 편익을 고루 충족시키는 시민의 공간으로 다시 태어나야 한다. 도시의 여러 공간은 보행, 휴식, 만남, 산책, 쇼핑 등 시민들의 다양한 활동이 일어나는 공공장소이며, 시민과 방문자들이 그 도시를 이해하고 느끼는 도시의 이미지를 형성한다. 도시의 공간은 모든 사회적 활동을 담는 장소임을 인식해야 한다. 우리나라는 인구밀도 476명/㎢의 세계 3위의 고밀도 국가다. 특히 전 인구의 30%이상이 밀집되어 있는 서울은 자동차가 다니기에도 부족하여 항상 체증과 혼잡을 겪고 있는 도시이다. 그러나 서울에는 차량의 소통에도 쓰이지 않고, 사람의 보행이나 여러 활동에도 쓰이지 않는 많은 공간이 남아 있으며, 본 연구는 이 공간을 ‘유휴공간’이라 칭한다. 도시 속에 자리잡고 있는 공간이나 활용되지 않거나, 적합하게 쓰이지 않는 공간 모두를 유휴공간이라 할 수 있다. 서울은 유휴공간을 많이 가지고 있다. 이런 유휴공간을 적극적으로 활용하여 도시공간을 지혜롭게 개선하면, 1) 보다 많은 녹지공간 조성 2) 보다 편안하고 안전한 보행공간 조성 3) 보다 유용한 활용으로 다양한 기능 부여 4) 시민의 여가활동공간 제공을 통한 사회적 교류 증대 5) 쾌적하고 아름다운 도시 이미지 조성 등 보다 유용하고 기능적이며 아름다운, 쾌적하고 즐거운 인간을 위한 공간으로 조성할 수 있다. 그러나 지금까지 유휴공간에 대한 정확한 인식과 유용한 개발은 미비한 편이었으며, 따라서 유휴공간의 적극적 개발과 활용은 시급하다. 특히 국가, 지역, 시민의 도시공간에 관한 통합된 관심과 인식의 변화를 통한 유휴공간의 해결방안이 필요하다. 앞으로도 지속적인 연구와 개발로 좀 더 적극적인 유휴공간 활용을 시도해야 할 것이다. There has been rapid progress for last 30 years in Seoul. The constitution of the city has experienced many changes on account of the many diversities which extend over the society at large, including the areas of industry, economy, and culture. Above all, the demand for cars has greatly increased due to economic development, and residential spaces have remarkably expanded to accept the large number of people who are storming to Seoul. However, the construction and extension of various roads and the expansion of residential spaces have caused the inefficient constitution of Seoul in such ways as; reckless environmental policies nationally, disordered development ventures locally, and the intemperate use of space individually, which have not fairly satisfied the convenience for many residents living in the city. There have not been enough actions to grope for concerning any alternative plans that might meet the needs of proper city space and to solve various zoning problems through 'design approach'. There are still plenty of spaces remaining which are not being used for cars, people, or other activities in Seoul because of these unsystematic and unplanned developments within the space of the city, and those spaces will be referred to as 'unused and misused space' in this study. Those unused and misused spaces indicate both spaces located in a city and ones not used or used improperly, and which can be easily found in every area. Those spaces are mostly the sources of environmental debasement in a city, inducing illegal acts, and such examples are traffic islands, lower parts of elevated roads, remaining places between buildings, along the edges of a river, and areas with running water. On the other hand, these places have dual characteristics because they have the possibility of becoming beneficial attributes to the city which could have various usages by being able to reuse them openly for citizens. There are plenty of unused and misused spaces in Seoul; many spaces are being wasted. Although each space is limited, the size of the city when put all together can be considerably large. It would be remarkably effective to expand the city's greens and to build places for citizens by using those spaces. The advantages that can be gained through the reuse of these spaces are as follows; 1) To produce more greens 2) To make more convenient and safer pedestrian sites 3) To add various capacities through more useful practical uses 4) To increase social exchanges through producing leisure places for citizens 5) To make fresh and beautiful images of a city
