        Characterization of the European type of maternal lineage evident in extant Jeju native pigs

        Using a partial D‐loop sequence of mtDNA, an intensive analysis was conducted of the maternal lineages of Jeju native pigs (JNPs) from Korea. In total, 100 mtDNA sequences were obtained from Asian wild boars (AWBs), European wild boars (EWBs), Asian domestic pigs (ADPs), European domestic pigs (EDPs), and JNPs and were used for phylogeny and network analyses. Two distinct JNP groups - one (JNPA) in the Asian cluster and the other (JNPE) in the European cluster - were identified in the estimated phylogenetic tree and network. The maternal lineage of JNPE was the closest to that of EWB and a clear haplogroup was identified that shared an identical haplotype (hap04) among 15 individuals of JNPE and 2 individuals of EWB. A Landrace and an EWB shared hap03with a JNPE. EWB, Landrace, Large White, and Duroc formed two clear haplogroups with JNPE in a parsimonious medianjoining network analysis, suggesting that an obvious maternal contribution of EDP has occurred in JNPE in recent years. A pair‐wise mismatch analysis also indicated that JNPE may have experienced a sudden population expansion, suggesting a more recent establishment compared with the gradual population expansion of JNPA. The JNPE group therefore should be further evaluated in order to decide whether this group should be culled or accepted into further programs for maintenance of the JNP population as a pure breed.

        In now a days, the concern to environment and energy saving is increased worldly. Our country is very poor for natural resources as well as fossil fuels and almost all energy resources depended on abroad. From the viewpoint of energy security, the further research concerning the alternative energy resource is urgently required. Solar radiation, because of inexhaustibility and cleanliness, is an ideal energy and has been recognized as one of the most promising new energy resources. This paper describes the current state of the art with respect to polycrystalline silicon(poly-Si) solar cells.

      • 발전소 디지털 제어계통의 신뢰도 평가기술에 대한 고찰

        As applications of digital system are increasing in nuclear power industry, there are increasing on importance of their reliability assessment. This paper describes definition, analysis methods and procedure of reliability for digital system in terms of hardware. The reliability analysis is classified as qualitative method and quantitative method. This paper presents a representative qualitative method, FMEA, and three quantitative methods, Reliability Block Diagram, Fault Event Trees, Markov state Transition Method, which can be applicable in power plant. The comparisons of three quantitative methods are presented for analyst to select a suitable method according to environments of applications. The procedure is also presented for systematic safety and reliability analysis of digital system. Each step of the procedure is described in terms of objective, necessity, method and consideration.

      • 大麻 低마약형 신품종 "청삼"의 육성경위 및 주요특성

        대마의 저 마약형 신품종을 육성하고자 대마초의 환각성분에 대한 국내의 문헌을 수집하여 고찰하여 저마약형 대마 신품종 "청삼(Cheungsam)"을 육성하였던 바 이것들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 가. 목포시험장에서 1997년 네덜란드 CPRO에서 도입한 44품종의 저 마약형 유전자원중 IH3이 THC 함량이 낮고 개화일수도 한국재래종과 비슷하여 경장과 섬유수량도 다른 도입품종들에 비해 크고 많아 육종재료로 유망시 되었다. 나. 저 마약형인 IH3를 모본으로 하고 한국 재래종을 부본으로 교배한 1대잡종 품종을 육성하여 무안 등 4개 지역에서 지역적응시험을 실시한 결과 특성이 우수하고 저 마약형으로 분류되어 이를 "청삼"으로 명명하여 신품종으로 등록하였다. 다. "첨상" 품종은 섬유수량은 190kg/10a로 재래종의 177kg/10a에 비하여 7% 중수되었고, 환각성분인 THC(Δ-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol)함량이 0.34%로 재래종의 1.74%보다 적고 환각억제성분인 CBD(Cannabidiol)함량은 1.34%로 재래종의 0.57%보다 많아 저 마약형으로 분류할 수 있다. 라. "청삼" 종자를 IH3의 자웅이주종자를 이용하여 채종하면 종실수량이 103kg/10a이지만 자성종자 채종기술을 이용하여 채종하면 146kg/10a로 채종량이 42% 증가하였다. In order to develop a new variety of fiber hemp(Cannabis sativa L.) with non-drug type, the authors reviewed several literatures about marihuana or hemp, and bred a new variety with non-drug type. This variety was named as "Cheungsam" and resitered as a recommening variety in Korea. This paper introduce the breeding history and characteristics of the fiber hemp variety "Cheungsam" with non-drug type. Among the 44 introduced germplasms from CPRO, Netherland, only IH3 was suitable variety because of it's good traits including low THC content, similar flowering days to Korean local variety and good fiber yield. IH3 and Korean local variety were crossed to develop a new non-drug type hemp, and we developed a new variety named "Cheungsam". This variety have good plant characteristics and fiber yield with low THC content. The average fiber yield of "Cheungsam" was 190kg/10a in regional fiber yield trials, which was 7% higher than that of "Korean local variety". "Korean local variety" contains 1.74% of THC which is the psychoactive ingredient and 0.57% of CBD the anti-psychoactive ingredient, thus that cultivar was sorted to drug type hemp. But "Cheungsam" contains 0.34% of THC and 1.34% of CBD so that sorted as a non-drug type hemp. If farmers want to harvest more seed of "Cheungsam", using female seed of IH3 is better than that of the dioecious seed because of the high seed yield.

      • SiH₄/He 혼합가스를 사용하여 제작된 다결정 실리콘 박막의 특성 연구

        We studied the deposition of poly-Si using Si using SiH₄/He mixtures by inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition. Volume fraction, grain size and deposition rate of poly-Si decreased by adding He into SiH₄ plasma. The decrease of crystallinity and deposition rate are due to ion bombardment. when we used SiH₄ as the source gas, the deposition rate was 7.44 A˚/sec. The poly-Si film exhibited the volume fraction from Raman scattering of 83.6% and FWHM of 8.89 cm^1

      • 누에 飼育時 石灰 使用에 關한 硏究 : 第 一 報 石灰 使用이 減蠶에 미치는 영향 The Effect of Lessened the Silk Worm in Using Calsium

        1) 除沙時 石灰를 使用해도 蠶作에는 큰 영향이 없다. 2) 眠期時 殘桑이 많아도 石灰를 뿌리므로해서 排濕이 充分이 됨으로 眠綱을 넣을 必要가 없어 진다. 3) 早秋蠶 秋蠶 晩秋期 蠶室內 高溫 多濕時 不良環境을 조속히 除去 시킬수 있다. 4) 五岺時 無除沙로써 飼育하게 됨으로 인권비가 극히 절약 된다. 5) 蠶室內및 蠶의 주기 환경을 깨끗이 습기를 除去 시키기 때문에 병의 발생및 병 예방에 큰 도움이 된다 1. While the litter cleaning, it was not given the efects to the silk worm rearing in spite of using the calsium. 2. While the silk worm moltting, did not need to supply sleepingnet because the moisture was removed from spraying the calsium. 3. While the raising silk worm in eary Fall, middle Fall and late Fall, it could removed the bad environment right away in spite of the high temperature and much moisture. 4. The wages to rais silk worm is saved not using the litter cleaning during the fifth inster. 5. It is more helped to protect the desease, because the moisture around the environment of silk worm is removed.

      • 한강 하류 수역의 식물플랑크톤의 계절적 분포와 우점종에 관한 연구

        We investigated seasonally the distribution of phytoplankton and physico-chemical factors at four stations of downstream water in Han-river from April to October 2004. The phytoplankton collected in this study was totally 135 taxa that belongs to 4 phylums 4 classes 13 orders 5 suborders 19 families 2 subfamilies 52 genera 120 species 1 subspecies 14 varieties. Chrysophytes revealed to the dominant division that they occupied 72 taxa as 53.3% among totally occurring taxa. The indicator of clean water was Surirella splendida, and the indicator of pollition water was 20 taxa including Oscillatoria formosa in this study. In the seasonal analysis of water quality and phytoplanktons, it was appeared that the downstream waters of Han-river was polluted deeply at summer and autumn.

        1) 鋪裝 沿邊의 公害物質이 견층비율에 큰 영향을 나타난다. 2) 春蠶, 秋蠶 晩秋蠶 飼育에 대한 公害의 影響은 매우 차가 심하여 견층 비율은 각 계절간에 다양하게 나타났다. 3) 桑園 肥培管理를 철저히하여 누에 生理에 유의하여 公害를 다소나마 防止해야겠다. 4) 綜合的인 公害 방지책을 硏究해야겠다. This study was Carried out to investigate the effect of airpollution substance on raising silkworms and the way reducing the damoge of a public nuisance. The result obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Imjury of air pollution substanel at the areaa asphalt road was increased more than Cocoon layer ratio of a hilly country. 2. As the effect of public hagard about the raising silkworms in the spring, fall and late­fall showed very difference, Cocoon lager ratio was varietal to the treatment of season all. 3. I think that we must reduce the damage of air pallution as think over the silkworm physiology.

Today, the importance of business ethics is illuminating domestically and globally. In particular, successive accounting scandals of American companies in last year denoted the fact that even high performance company cannot survive in the market without solid commitment in business ethics. This paper reviews current research stream on ethical management and deliberate ethical issues in marketing.
