十全大補湯이 癌轉移 抑制에 미치는 影響

To examine the effect of Shiquandabutang on the metastasis of cancer, the following experiments were made. Before the main experiments, the cytotoxieity was measured by putting Shiquandabutang sample in HT1080, Then zymography was made to examine the change of gelatinolytic activity. And western blotting was carried out to examine the changes of Fos, Jun, Ets, the transcription factors of MMP-2. MMP-9, and Erk. JNK on signal transduction pathway to AP-1, Third, in vitro invasion assay with tranwells coated by collagen and matrigel was carried out. From the results of the above the following conclusions were obtained. 1. The experimental result about cytotoxicity of Shiquandabutang against HT1080 was as below. The stained cell count after being treated by Shiquandabutang sample 400ug/ml for 24 hours was 0.9% of total cells. and the stained cell count by Shiquandabutang sample 100ug/ml was 1.5% of total cells. Both were near the level ot control groupwhich showed 0.6% stained. 2. The restlt of collagenase assay was as bclow. In shiquandanbutang sample 400ug/ml, MMP-2 was reduced as compared with TPA control group. and the band of MMP-9 induced by TPA disappeared. In Shiquandabutang sample 800ug/ml. both bands of MMP-2 and MMP-9 disappeared. 3. The reasults of western blots for Jun, Fos, Ets, Erk, JNK were as below. In Shiwaandabutang sample 200ug/ml, Ets was reduced, and Jun, Fos were increased. 4. The result of invasion assay was as below. The number of cells which migrated across transwell membrane in shiquandabutang-lteated group was less than that of +TPA control group. From the above results, it was concluded that Shiquandabutang might control the appearting and acting of collagenase not by the MMP-2, -9 promoter but by other way.

Prior studies show late entrants can overcome pioneer under several conditions as like innovative product, premium price, trendy category and overlapped target market effect and significantly heavier promotion supports. This study shows several similarities with prior studies. In case of superior product performance, concept and overlapped target market, this study and prior studies have very similarity. Furthermore, this study show GREEN FINGER case has more conditions than each of prior study to overpass pioneer within short period. As a result, this study shows a good case which late entrants can overtake in any category even though pioneer effect is so strong. The purpose of this study is to investigate how a long-term training affect a physique and a physical strength on two groups of being trained and untrained. There are 11 items divided under as a factor of the physique and 12 items as a factor of the physical strength to be measured and compared the relationship between two factors. The results of this study are as follows: 1.The most significant differences statistically among factors of the physique in this study appears in chest, lower limb length and upper arm girth. 2.In case of the physical strength, there are significant differences in vertical jump, side step, sit-up, chinning bar, toe touching and mobility tests Like above the results showing, it causes that trainees have been more grown up than untrainees in the development of Staying power, muscular power and promptitude. In addition, there are a lot of benefit to keep the continuant exercises for the development of the body and the physical strength

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

A New Tightly-Regulated Dual-output LLC resonant converter

A New Tightly-Regulated Dual output LLC resonant converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter can get tightly regulated dual-output voltages by both pulse frequency modulation (PFM) and pulse width modulation (PWM) using only one control IC compared with the conventional LLC resonant converter. Therefore, it features a simpler structure, less mass, and lower cost of production. Furthermore, since all power switches are turned on under zero-voltage switching (ZVS) condition, it has several favorable advantages such as a high-efficiency, low switching loss, improved electromagnetic interference (EMI), and reduced burden on the cooling system. This paper presents a dual-output LLC resonant converter applicable to the 40” LCD TV power supply.

Current-Mode Transceiver for Silicon Interposer Channel

<P>An energy-efficient 3 Gb/s current-mode interface scheme is proposed for on-chip global interconnects and silicon interposer channels. The transceiver core consists of an open-drain transmitter with one-tap pre-emphasis and a current sense amplifier load as the receiver. The current sense amplifier load is formed by stacking a PMOS diode stage and a cross-coupled NMOS stage, providing an optimum current-mode receiver without any bias current. The proposed scheme is verified with two cases of transceivers implemented in 65 nm CMOS. A 10 mm point-to-point data-only channel shows an energy efficiency of 9.5 fJ/b/mm, and a 20 mm four-drop source-synchronous link achieves 29.4 fJ/b/mm including clock and data channels.</P>

결절성 경화증에 동반된 뇌상실피하 거세포 성상세포종 : 증례보고 Case Report

A case of subependymal giant-cell astrocytoma with tuberous sclerosis, 8-year old girl, was observed. Past history and physical examinations revealed epilepsy, mental retardation and facial adenoma sebaceum. Brain CT scan showed multiple calcified nodules in the periventricular region and strongly enhanced intraventricular mass which caused hydrocephalus by obstructing foramina of Monro and the third ventricle. By transcortical, transventricular approach, we removed the tumor totally. Even after removal of the tumor, hydrocephalus was not relieved and ventriculoperitoneal shunt was done. Microscopically, the tumor was composed of large fusiform or pyramidal cells which have a bulky homogeneous hyaline cytoplasm and form multiple perivascular pseudorosettes.

<P>A low-power palm-size microwave power module for portable microwave-excited plasma applicable to biomedicine is integrated on a single printed circuit board for the first time. The designed board includes a power amplifier chip, a phase-locked loop (PLL) chip, and an impedance matching network with microstrip lines. In addition, as a part of the true one-chip integration of the plasma power module, the PLL is designed and fabricated in a semiconductor chip with a 0.18-μm CMOS technology for dedicated use to our plasma source. For the plasma generator, a 900-MHz coaxial transmission line resonator is used with argon gas flow. The designed plasma source is applied to the inactivation of S. mutans, showing three-log reduction within 180-s treatment. Measurements for the different initial concentrations (from 10<SUP>5</SUP> to 10 <SUP>9</SUP> CFU/mL) are also conducted, and the outcomes are discussed. The results verify the feasibility of the proposed integrated microplasma source for use in dental treatments.</P>

Backgroud/Aims: The frequency of different etiologies of lower gastrointestinal bleeding varies by a number of factors including patient age, the severity of bleeding evaluated, the diagnostic method, and the institution. There were few reports on the clinical analysis of lower gastrointestinal bleeding in Korea. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the frequency of various etiologies, diagnostic methods, and the management of patients with lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods: 474 patients with lower gastrointestinal bleeding who were admitted to Samsung Medical Center from September 1994 to April 1998 were reviewed. The inclusion criteria were as follows: 1) age at least 15 years, and 2) patients whose bleeding was attributed to a lesion distal to the ligament of Treitz. The age and sex distribution, etiology, diagnostic methods, treatment, and transfusion were checked. Results: 474 patients (261 males and 213 females) met the inclusion criteria. The average age of the patients was 51 years old. The etiologies of bleeding were as follows: colorectal cancer, 43%; anorectal disease, 32%; inflammatory bowel disease, 6.6%; ischemic colitis, 5%; miscellaneous, 6%; and unknown, 7.4%. Colonoscopy was the most commonly employed diagnostic modality and was used in 245 (52%) patients of the study group. Other tests included sigmoidoscopy in 136 (29%), barium enema in 90 (19%), small bowel radiography in 24, radionuclide bleeding scans in 8, and mesenteric angiography in 7. Patients who improved with conservative and medical treatment were 29%, and 71% required surgery. Patients who required a transfusion were 37%. 139 patients (68.8%) with diagnosed malignant neoplasm received a transfusion. Conclusions: The incidence of lower gastrointestinal bleeding was high in old age. Colorectal cancer was the most common cause and required surgery. Colonoscopy was a valuable diagnostic tool for the evaluation of lower gastrointestinal bleeding.
