Jo,Man-Hyun,Ham,In-Ki,Park,Sang-Kyu,Seo,Gwan-Seok,Han,Gyu-Heung,Woo,In-Shik 한국자원식물학회 2003 Plant Resources Vol.6 No.2
Allium wakegi Araki was grown at plant spacings of 5, 10, 15, and 20 cm to determine the effect of planting density on the growth and yield. Allium wakegi Araki plants grown at the 5 cm plant spacing had the lowest bulb diameter and bulb weight, while plants at the lowest density (20 cm spacing) had the highest bulb diameter, bulb number, bulb weight and fresh weight. In general, plants grown at narrower spacings produced significantly smaller bulb diameter and bulb weight, but resulted in the highest yields and plants per hectare and lower fresh weights per plant.

This study was conducted to develop the clonal propagation technique through in vitro culture using basal stem explants in Phalaenopsis hybrid grown in vitro. The highest frequency of protocorm-like body (PLB) formation was obtained when basal stem explants were cultured on VW medium containing 30g/L sucrose, 500 mg/L activated charcoal, 150 ml/L coconut water, 1 mg/L NAA, 5 mg/L 2iP and 2.5g/L gel rite. PLBs transferred to Hyponex medium were regenerated to plantlets. Plantlets transferred to plastic pots containing spagnum moss were developed and successfully acclimatized under greenhouse. The flower was bloomingly opened in plants regenerated from basal stem explants. The flower was not different from both mother plant and plant induced through clonal propagation of Phalaenopsis hybrid.
대학생 스트레스에 관한 연구 : 경주대학교 재학생을 대상으로 With a Focus on Kyongju University
김석출,조현호 경주대학교 창의력개발연구소 1999 創意力開發硏究 Vol.- No.3
This study attempts to identify the degree of mental stresses experienced by undergraduate students in Kyongju University and to suggest alternative solutions for them. For the empirical study, survey questionnaire was designed based on the 'Symptom Checklist-90-Revision' developed by a clinical psychologist, Dr. Derogatis in Johns Hopkins. 300 survey questionnaires were distributed to the students and 225 were returned recording 75% response rate. The survey results show that four categories including 'Interpersonal Sensitivity', 'Depression', 'Anxiety', and 'Hostility' marked between point 3 and 4 in average. On the other hand, the average point of 'Obsessive/Compulsive' was below the point 3. In particular, male students are turned out to seriously suffer from the 'Obsessive/Compulsive', which is presumably caused by the issues such as joining military service, being employed after graduation, getting along with girl friend and so on. Male students rather suffer from 'Obsessive', 'Interpersonal Sensitivity', and 'Hostility', while female students suffer from 'Depression' and 'Anxiety'. In addition, low year students experiences higher degree of stress in terms of 'Interpersonal Sensitivity' and 'Depression' than high year students. According to Allport(1995), in order to keep positive mental health, 6 elements including positive self esteem, favorable interpersonal relationship, stable emotion, reality recognition, self-objectification, and various philosophical viewpoints in life need to be developed.

T lymphocytes are thought to play a central role in cell mediated immune response. To Study the T lymphocyte proliferative response to 30-kDa antigen purified from Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, peripheral blood lymphocytes isolated from healthy subjects were stimulated with the 30kDa antigen, crude antigen or PHA. Healthy subjects were divided into three groups so that PPD(+), PPD(±) and PPD(-). The proliferations of lymphocytes were measured by the incroporation of ^3H-thyrnidine. The results were summarized as follows: 1. For the PPD(+) person, at concentration of < 1 ㎍/ml, the proliferative response to 30-kDa antigen resulted in a mild reduction but crude antigen showed relatively rapid reduction. For the PPD(-) person, decreasing the concentration of the both antigens showed rapid reduction of proliferation 2. The lymphocytes proliferations to 30-kDa antigen and crude antigen were significantly increased in PPD(+) group when compared to those in PPD(-) group, but PHA response was no significant difference. 3. The sensitivity and specificity of lymphocyte proliferation assay to 30-kDa antigen and crude antigen when compared with skin test results were 92.3%, 100% and 76.9%, 50%, respectively.

Disposal of a homicide victim by dismemberment is rare, but individual cases are on record in most major medicolegal departments. Recognition of postmortem mutilation may be of importance in the interpretation of certain murders committed by sexual perverts and other mentally deranged individuals and sometimes performed for the sole reason of easier disposal of the body. Postmortem dismemberment is usually readily recognizable as such; The edges of the injuries are dry and lack evidence of bleeding. The joints may be disarticulated without fracture, or the use of an axe or saw may be evident from examination of bones. Parallel horizontal or oblique furrows in the bone surface are caused by skipping of the saw prior to establishing depth. Such patterns on the bone may assist in identifying the particular saw involved. So we report 25 dismembered corpses that autopsied in National Institute of Scientific Investigation. This paper can help in attempting to establish not only the first criminal investigation steps but also the medicolegal approach methods in unidentified and dismembered deaths.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the bone regeneration capability of silk membrane plus 3% 4-hexylresorcinol (3% 4-HR plus SM) in a rabbit calvarial defect model. Twenty New Zealand white rabbits were used in this study. Bilateral round shaped defects were created in the parietal bone (diameter: 8.0 mm). And the defects were covered with (1) 3% 4-HR plus SM, (2) collagen membrane (CM), (3) no graft material. After surgery, the animals were sacrificed at 4 weeks and 8 weeks. Bone regeneration was analyzed in each section by micro-computerized tomography (μ-CT). And Hematoxylin and eosin stains were used for histological analysis. As measured by μ-CT analysis 4 weeks after surgery, the average of new bone formation in animals treated with 3% 4-HR plus SM was greater than that of animals treated with CM. and the difference was statistically significant. And well organized lamella bones were observed in the histological view of the 3% 4-HR plus SM group. Therefore, more bone regeneration was seen in animals treated with 3% 4-HR plus SM than in those treated with CM or uncovered control.

Background: Diverse microbiota of stomach has begun to be revealed by modern technique but our understanding is still in the early stages. We aimed to compare the differences of microbiota between groups according to disease state and Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection, and to investigate the role of microbiota in the gastric carcinogenesis. Methods: Subjects were divided into four groups as follows; HP(-) control group (n=13), HP(+) control group (n=16), HP(-) cancer group (n=19), and HP (+) cancer group (n=15). Gastric microbiota was assessed by barcoded 454-pyrosequencing of the 16S rRNA gene in the level of phylum, genus and species including nitrosating or nitrate reducing bacteria (NB). Differences were investigated according to biopsy site and type of sample. In addition, the change of microbiota was followed-up focusing on the NB. Results: The major phyla were Proteobacteria, firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Bacterioidetes and Fusobacteria, in order in all subgroups. Cancer group had proportionately fewer Proteobacteria and larger Actinobacteria compared to control. NB signifi cantly increased in the HP(+) cancer than in HP(+) control or HP(-) cancer groups. NB other than HP (nonHP-NB) was two times higher in cancer group than control group but it did not reach statistical signifi cance (10.3% vs. 5.1% in HP(-), P=0.985; 7.2% vs. 3.9% in HP(+), P=0.453). NonHP-NB increased as time went but this phenomenon was prevented by HP eradication in HP(+) control group. Conclusions: Though the pattern of phylum confi guration was similar in all subgroups, the composition of genus level showed differences in gastric cancer. The increase of nonHP-NB over time could be prevented by HP eradication therapy.
