Ethylene oligomerization over silica-alumina supported catalysts

Ethylene oligomerization has attracted research interest in petrochemical industry. Longer chain olefins in the range of C4-C16 are important chemical intermediates in synthesis of surfactants, plasticizers, oil additives, etc. Ethylene also undergoes oligomerization to produce clean fuels (i.e. gasoline and diesel), which are potential in oil industry.In this research, we have investigated the effect of bifunctional metalacid properties with amorphous silica-alumina supported Ni and Co catalysts in the ethylene oligomerization. The Ni catalyst exhibited nearly 100% ethylene conversion and >50% selectivity towards olefins in the range of C6-C12. The catalyst was stable during 30 h on stream.We have fully analyzed C4 and C6 products with GC-FID-MS. We have tried to discuss how the oligomers can be selectively produced on the surface of bifunctional catalysts characterized by XRD, BET and NH3-TPD techniques.
간호대학생의 COVID-19 감염 예방을 위한 사회적 거리두기 영향요인

Purpose: This study aims to understand the effect of attitudes toward COVID-19, subjective norms, and intentions toward social distancing as a preventative measure for COVID-19 in nursing university students, and to provide basic data for COVID-19 prevention. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used in this study. The participants included 169 nursing students at a university in G city. Data were collected from 22 May 2020 to 1 June 2020. A self-report questionnaire was used. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analyses with the IBM/SPSS 26.0 for Window Program. Results: Intention was the most influential factor on social distancing (β=.29, p=.002), followed by the number of breakfasts per week (β=.18, p=.005), school grade (β=-.16, p<.001), and smoking status (β=-.13, p=.046). These variables explained 35.0% of factors influencing social distancing (F=12.24, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study are meaningful and present a direction for nursing students and future medical personnel to effectively perform social distancing. It is necessary to educate nursing students so that they can practice proper health care habits and intentions for social distancing. 목적: 본 연구는 간호 대학생을 대상으로 COVID-19 감염 예방에 대한 태도, 주관적 규범, 의지가 사회적 거리두기에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, COVID-19 예방을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 횡단적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 G시 소재하는 일개 대학교에 재학 중인 1-4학년 학생169명이며, 자료 수집 기간은 2020년 5월 22일부터 6월 1일까지였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 26.0 프로그램을 이용하여 유의수준 0.05 수준에서 양측 검정하였다. COVID-19에 대한 태도', 'COVID-19 감염예방에 대한 주관적 규범', 'COVID-19 감염예방에 대한 의지', 'COVID-19 감염예방에 대한 사회적 거리두기'의 변수들 사이의 상관관계 분석 및 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과: 회귀모형을 분석한 결과 회귀모형은 유의한 것으로 나타났으며(F=12.24, p<.001), 모형의 설명력을 나타내는 수정된 결정계수(Adj-R2)는 .349로 나타났다. 대상자의 사회적 거리두기에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 의지(β=0.29, p=.002)로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구 결과는 간호대학생을 대상자로 선정하여 미래의 의료인인 간호대생의 사회적 거리 두기를 효과적으로 수행하기 위한 방향성을 제시해주는 데에 의의가 있다. 간호대학생이 사회적 거리두기를 위한 올바른 건강관리 습관과 의지를 가질 수 있도록 교육하는 것이 필요하다.
Hydrothermal treatment of alumina for hydrodesulfurization catalyst

We have investigated the effect of hydrothermal treatment over alumina supports for hydrodesulfurization (HDS). Physical properties of alumina supports were modified by changing treatment temperature and water concentration. Supported Ni-Mo-P catalysts were tested in a trickle-bed at 350℃ and 8.0 MPa. All the prepared catalysts were characterized to define their structural properties and surface morphologies. The Ni-Mo-P supported on Al2O3 hydrothermally treated at 200℃ exhibited 2 times lower sulfur remaining concentration after HDS than that on pure Al2O3. The increased pore volume likely enhances the dispersion of active sites and the accessibility of feed stocks for the deep HDS.
