In this paper, we explored Reinhart (2002)’s Theta system, which suggested new type of semantic role, and presented a syntactic realization based on semantics of each argument We also analyzed the applicability of the theta system to modern Chinese, divided into four categories according to the semantic roles he presented. The results showed that his theory was presented based on English, which was mostly applicable to Chinese with the same order of words SVO. However, it was necessary to modify the theta system to explain the ba-construction, a SOV phenomenon that is frequently used in Chinese. To this end, the ‘The theta system’ that conforms to the modern Chinese grammar was newly modified by adding the applying condition and computational systems for ba-construction I and II, respectively, before and after the lexicon marking and reduction of lexical operation process.

On a Reduction of Pitch Searching Time by Separating the Speech Components in the CELP Vocoder

부호여기된 선형예측(CELP) 음성부호화기는 4.8 kbps 이하의 낮은 전송 비율에서도 좋은 성능을 갖는다. CELP형 부호기의 단점은 많은 계산량을 필요로 한다는 것이다. 본 논문에서, 우리는 복잡성을 줄이면서 CELP 보코더의 음질을 유지하는 새로운 피치 검색법을 제안하였다. 그 기본 개념을 피치를 검색하고자하는 신호에 대해 음소 성분 분리를 통해 예비피치주기를 사전에 파악하고 이를 예비피치에 대해서만 본격적인 피치 검색을 수행하는 것이다. 제안한 방법을 CELP 보코더에 적용하므로써, 피침검색에서 기존의 방법에 대해 약 90%의 복잡성이 감소되었다. Code excited Linear Prediction(CELP) vocoder exhibits good performance at data rates below 4.8 kbps. The major drawback of CELP type coders is their large amount of computation. In this paper, we propose a new pitch searching method that preseves the quality of the CELP vodocer reducing computational complexity. The basic idea is that pregrasps preliminary pitches about signal and performs pitch search only about the preliminary pitches. Applying the proposed method to the CELP vocoder, we can reduce complexity about 90% in th pitch search.

원발성 간세포암종은 간 외로 전이하는 경우가 드문 암이다. 전이가 있는 경우 주로 폐, 복부 임파선, 뼈, 뇌 순으로 전이된다. 그러나, 전이성인 경우라도, 간 종물 없이 전이 병변만 발견된 경우는 보고된 바가 없었다. 이에 간 종물 없이 흉벽에서만 발견된 전이성 간세포암종을 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. 51세 남자로, 좌상부 흉벽에 약 12×10㎝ 크기로 단단한 종물이 촉지되고 8개월 전부터 크기가 증가되어 내원하였다. 환자는 10년 전 만성 B형

중국 연변지구 항일 근거지 연구

동만주 항일 근거지의 형성은 조선족 반일기지의 형성으로부터 시작되며, 이 시작은 또 일본의 침략으로부터 기원한다. 1907년 일본이 용정에서 ‘조선통감부임시파출소’를 세우고 1909년 중국 청정부를 압박해 ‘간도협약’을 체결하면서 중국동북 조선족은 정치상, 경제상에서 일제와 청 정부의 이중압박을 받게 되였다. 1910년 조선이 일본의 식민지로 전락한 후 수많은 조선인들은 일본의 식민통치를 피해 중국 동북지구로 이주했다. 그중 적지 않은 반일지사와 군중들은 중국 동북지구에서 사립학교와 민족주의 반일단체를 건립하고 다양한 형태로 반일운동을 전개했다. 중국 연변의 반일 무장단체는 연길현 의라구, 왕청현 소왕청, 안도현 처창즈 등지를 근거지로 일본군과 크고 작은 전투를 진행했고 ‘봉오동’, ‘청산리’의 승리를 거두었다. 이 전투의 승리는 민족주의 반일투쟁을 최고봉으로 이끌었다. 그후 일제의 잔혹한 토벌로 민족주의 반일운동은 점차 저조기에 진입했지만 이들의 반일기지 건설은 계속되었다. 동만주 유격대는 발전하여 계속 승리를 거두었다. 반일무장 통일전선도 점차 그 위력을 과시하기 시작했다. 그후 일제의 토벌과 당내에서 일어난 ‘반민생단투쟁’으로 항일 유격근거지는 붕괴되어 중국 연변의 항일부대는 원래의 근거지를 떠나 남 북만주 지구로 이전하여 항일투쟁을 계속 이어갔다. 동만주 항일 유격근거지는 동북 항일투쟁의 중요한 구성부분으로서 일본제국주의의 식민통치에 심대한 타격을 주었고, 동북 항일전쟁의 발전에 중요한 기여를 했으며, 중국 항일전쟁사에 중요한 기여를 했다. 때문에 동만주 항일 유격근거지는 중국 동북항전의 일부분으로서 나아가 항일전쟁 가운데서 비교적 높은 지위를 차지한다. The anti-Japanese base of East-Manchuria was originated from the establishment of Chinese-Korean anti-Japanese base, which was triggered by the invasion of Japan. In 1907, Japan set up ‘Chosun Residency-General Temporary Police Station’ in Yongjeong and pressured China’s Qing government so that they concluded ‘Gando Convention’ in 1909, which caused the Chinese-Korean in Northeast China to be in a double pressure from the Japanese Empire and Qing Government in the political and economic aspect. After Korea tumbled down to a colony of Japan in 1910, a lot of Korean people emigrated to Northeast China away from the colonial rule of Japan. Among them, not a few anti-Japanese figures and mob established private schools and nationalist anti-Japanese groups to extend their anti-Japanese activities in various forms. The anti-Japanese armed groups in China’s Yanbian district engaged in big and small battles with Japanese military forces from the bases at Yeongil-hyeon Eura-gu, Wangcheong-hyeon Sowangcheong, Ando-hyeon Cheochangtsu, and won the victories of ‘Bong-o-dong’ and ‘Cheongsan-ri’. The victories of these battles led the nationalist anti-Japanese fight to the maximum. After these battles, the nationalist anti-Japanese movement entered gradually into the slow-down phase due to cruel suppression by Japan, but the construction of anti-Japanese bases was continued. The East-Manchuria guerrilla unit grew up and continuously won victories. Anti-Japanese Armed Unified Front(反日武裝統一戰線) began to display its power. Subsequently, the anti-Japanese guerrilla bases were collapsed due to the suppression of Japanese Empire and ‘Anti-Minsaengdan Fight(反民生團鬪爭)’ occurred inside the party, and the anti-Japanese unit in Chinese Yanbian district left its original base and moved to South/North-Manchurian district to continued its anti-Japanese fight. As an important part of Northeast anti-Japanese fight, the anti-Japanese guerrilla base in East-Manchurian district gave a severe damage to the colonial rule of Japanese Empire and contributed to the development of Northeast anti-Japanese war history as well as China’s anti-Japanese war history. Hence, the anti-Japanese guerrilla base in East-Manchurian district is a part of China’s Northeast resistance and takes a comparatively high position among anti-Japanese wars.

Brand Equity and Brand Loyalty

선행 연구자들이 브랜드 자산 가치, 금전적 가치, 브랜드 충성도를 연구해 왔으나 하나의 통합된 모델로 연구되지는 않았다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 금전적 가치가 브랜드 자산 가치와 브랜드 충성도를 조절할 수 있는지에 대하여 검토하였다. 금전적 가치에 관한 조절효과를 검증하기 위해서 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 조절회귀분석 방법을 사용하였다. 영국에 있는 호텔과 레스토랑에 친숙한 소비자 378명을 대상으로 조사가 실시되었다. 본 연구의 결과로써, 브랜드 자산 가치와 브랜드 충성도간 직접적 영향관계는 없었으나 금전적 가치의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 다섯 개의 브랜드 자산 가치의 구성 요인들 중, 브랜드 일체화(Brand identification)만이 브랜드 충성도에 금전적 가치에 따른 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 환대 산업에서의 브랜드 자산 가치와 브랜드 충성도간의 관계가 금전적 가치에 의해 조절효과가 있다는 사실을 확인하였다는데 의의가 있다. 나아가 본 연구의 결과가 금전적 가치의 조절역할과 환대산업에 대한 브랜드 충성도를 강화시킬 수 있는 전략을 구축하는데 유용하였다고 판단된다. Although past researchers investigated brand equity, value for money and brand loyalty, an integration of these variables into a single model is not apparent. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to examine the moderating effects of value for money on the relationship between brand equity and brand loyalty. This research adopted Baron and Kenny's(1986) method using moderated regression analysis to examine the moderating effect of value for money, and large sample of consumers(n=378) who are familiar with hotel and restaurant brands in the UK provided the data. The results revealed that the effect of brand equity on brand loyalty is not just direct but is also moderated by value for money. However, among the five dimensions of brand equity, only the "brand identification" dimension appeared to be significantly influenced by the moderating effect of valuer for money. The key contribution of this research is that it provides insights into the inter-relationships among brand equity, value for money and brand loyalty in the hospitality industry. Furthermore, the results of this research are useful for identify the role of value for money and strategies for strengthening brand for hospitality brands.

Anti-melanogenesis Effects of Schizophragma hydrangeoides Leaf Ethanol Extracts via Downregulation of Tyrosinase Activity

Whitening agents derived from natural sources which do not have side effects are sought after. Schizophragma hydrangeoides is an edible plant that grows wild on Jeju Island. We aimed to determine whether S. hydrangeoides extracts show anti-melanogenic activity. Here, we found that 70% ethanol extracts of S. hydrangeoides leaf suppressed α-melanocytestimulating hormone-induced melanogenesis in B16F10 mouse melanoma cells. This activity of anti-melanogenesis in B16F10 cells were investigated by determining melanin content and tyrosinase activity, and by performing western blotting. The 70% ethanol extract downregulated tyrosinase and tyrosinase-related protein 1. In addition, the n-hexane fraction of S. hydrangeoides leaf (HFSH) exhibited significant anti-melanogenic activity among the various solvent fractions tested without reducing the viability of B16F10 cells. Taken together, these results indicate that extracts from S. hydrangeoides leaf can influence cellular processes via modulation of tyrosinase activity. Hence, S. hydrangeoides can be used as a whitening agent in the cosmetic industry and as a therapeutic agent for treating hyperpigmentation disorders in the clinic.
