In this paper, the contrast enhancement method of thermal image is proposed and it is the plateau equalization algorithm using local histogram for the real time display of infrared imagery. Through hardware implementing, its practicality and adequacy are proved. Examinations are executed to verify the effect of contrast enhancement by bright control and contrast control according to the plateau value in the manual mode, and that verified the effect of contrast enhancement in the automatic mode and the practicality in the real system. According to the experiment results, the proposed "the application of local histogram and plateau equalization algorithm for contrast enhancement of real time thermal image" in this dissertation is the verified method for the thermal imaging contrast enhancement.

추적레이더의 주요영향인자 정의 및 분석을 통한 대함표적획득시간 성능향상에 관한 연구

The STIR(Signal Tracking & Illumination Radar) in KDX(Korean Destroyer Experimental) combat system acquires target from designating 3-D target information of surveillance radar (MW-08), and The performance of radar is decided by target acquisition time and accuracy of tracking loop because the STIR tracks automatically in accordance with tracking algorithm. In the view of ship, elements related with target acquisition time of the STIR can be various. In this paper the target acquisition time of the STIR is reduced by identifying the elements and suggesting the performance improvement method. The way of performance improvement is suggested through analysing main affecting factors. First, tracking algorism is required for analysis. Second, fitness of parameters that control elements related with acquisition distance is analyzed. And the third, accuracy of ship based sensors is analyzed. In conclusion, acquisition time against ship target can be advanced to 3 seconds from 10 seconds. 한국형 구축함용 전투체계의 추적레이더(STIR)는 탐색레이더(MW08)의 3차원 표적 정보에 지정되어 표적을 획득하고, 추적 알고리즘에 의해 자동추적하는 레이더로서 표적획득 시간 및 추적루프의 정확도로 레이더의 성능을 판단 할 수 있다. 함정 측면에서 보면 추적레이더의 표적획득 시간에 관계되는 요소들은 여러 가지가 있을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 요소들을 식별하고 성능향상방법을 제안함으로써 추적레이더의 표적획득 시간을 단축시켰다. 여기에서는 주요요소 세 가지에 대한 분석과 성능향상방향을 제시하였다. 첫째는 추적알고리즘을 분석하였으며, 두 번째는 획득거리에 관계되는 요소를 조정하는 파라미터의 적절성 분석하였고, 세 번째는 함기준 센서의 정확도를 분석하였다. 결과적으로 대함표적의 획득시간을 약 10초에서 3초로 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었다.

According to sailing condition, an exciting force for luminairie of naval vessels was measured and analyzed. A naval combat service support boat and P${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$(patrol killer guided missile) were selected as a target naval vessel. Due to their small size and fast speed, they received excessive vibration than other bigger naval vessels like destroyer. The vibration of luminairie was measured on their cruising and maximum speed. This could analyze exciting force for luminairie of naval vessels. Using this analyzed data, the validity of military standard for naval vessel was verified.

The multi-beam side scan sonar system uses the towfish installed sonars, it is an equipment that search images of the bottom surface of the sea in real time. It is a typical equipment that is related to a sea investigation such as a geological survey, seabed communication cable and power line cable placing repair investigation, fish breeding ground investigation, sea purification, relic and mineral investigation, and mine and submarine search. Recently, it is used to sea purification and geological survey that require information of the correct surface of the seabed. Therefore, this research develops multi-beam sensors for a side scan sonar that supply various information with the fast scan speed and correct high resolution that is not a simple underwater investigation equipment.

This study was conducted to know the chemical characteristics of rain and snow precipitation in Chonbuk province from December 1989 to February 1990, total 92 samples were collected at eight sites and analyzed for sulfate, nitrate, chloride, zinc, lead, cadmium and pH. The results were summarized as follows; 1. pH value was ranging fron 4.12 to 6.61 with an average 4.98 2. The order of anion content was CI> SO_4^-2 > NO_3 and the ratio of sulfat and nitrate content was 1.32. 3. The order of heavy metal concentration was Zn> Pb> Cd and the ionic correlations of heavy metal were higher than those of anion. 4. In rain and snow, there were no statistical difference among ion levels, but significant difference by area. (Key words: rain, snow, precipitation, heavy metal)
