벤조산, 파라메톡시벤조산 및 파라니트로벤조산의 산해리상수를 $25^{\circ}C$에서 메탄올의 무게퍼센트가 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65 및 80%인 에탄올-물 혼합용매중에서 직접 전도도를 측정하는 방법과 약산의 시료를 과염소산용액으로 적정하면서 전도도를 측정하는 방법으로 구하고, 이 두가지 방법으로 구한 결과를 검토하고 다른 방법과 비교하였다. The dissociation constants of benzoic acid, p-methoxybenzoic acid and p-nitrobenzoic acid have been determined at $25^{\circ}C$ in ethanol-water mixtures containing 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65 and 80 weight % ethanol by the direct conductance measurements and the method involving titration of the acid sample with perchloric acid reagent. The results by the two methods have been discussed and compared with those by other methods.

Group B streptococcus (GBS) is the leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality. Late-onset GBS disease commonly manifests as occult bacteremia or meningitis. Approximately 50% of survivors of late-onset meningitis have long-term neurologic sequelae. Cerebrovascular complications are often associated with unfavorable clinical outcomes of GBS meningitis. There have been a few reports of cerebral infarction accompanied by GBS meningitis. We report a 29-day-old girl with severe, widespread cerebral infarction due to late-onset GBS meningitis. Isolated GBS strain from this patient was serotype III, ST-19. Currently, she has cortical blindness and significant developmental delay.
메탄올-물 혼합용매에서 전도도법에 의한 벤조산 및 치환된 벤조산의 해리에 관한 연구

25$^{\circ}$C 때 벤조산과 메타 및 파라위치에 할로겐(F, Cl, Br)이 치환된 $pK_a$값을 메탄올-물 혼합용매(0∼80% 메탄올) 중에서 Fuoss-Kraus 식에 근거한 전도도법과 Gelb의 전도도법을 이용하여 결정하였다. 할로겐 치환기에 따른 벤조산의 $pK_a$ 변화를 전자받게 유도효과와 전자주게 공명효과로 복합시킨 치환기 상수(${\sigma}_1$ 및 ${\sigma}_R$)로써 논의하였다. ${\sigma}_1$가 $D^{-1}$에 대하여 양(+)의 기울기를 갖는 직선성을 보인 반면 ${\sigma}_R$은 $D^{-1}$에 대하여 음(-)의 기울기를 갖는 직선성을 보이고 있는데, 이를 field effect의 유전상수 의존성과 할로겐 치환기의 ${\pi}$-고립쌍 전자와 이온화 중심간의 through-space ${\pi}$-상호작용으로 해석하였다. The $pK_a$ values of benzoic acid and meta, para-halogen substituted benzoic acids in MeOH-$H_2O$ mixtures (0∼80% of MeOH) have been determined at 25$^{\circ}$C using a conductometric method on the basis of the Fuoss-Kraus equation, and further verified using modified conductometric method of Gelb. The dependence of $pK_a$ on halogen substituents has been discussed in terms of substituent-constant (${\sigma}$), which is devided into electron-withdrawing inductive contribution (${\sigma}_1$) and electron-donating ${\pi}$-resonance one (${\sigma}_R$). The linear-dependence of ${\sigma}_1$'s on $D^{-1}$ with positive slope and that of ${\sigma}_R$'s on $D^{-1}$ with negative slope have been interpreted on the basis of field effect and through-space interaction of ${\pi}$-lone pair of halogen substituent and ionization center via ${\pi}$-system of benzene ring.

Equine influenza (EI) is the main cause of respiratory illness in equines across the globe and is caused by equine influenza A virus (EIV-A), which has impacted the equine industry internationally because of the marginal mortality and high morbidity. In the present study, the immune responses after equine influenza vaccination were evaluated in 4,144 horses in Korea using the hemagglutination inhibition (HI) assay. The equine influenza virus (EIV), A/equine/South Africa/4/03 (H3N8), was used as the antigen in the HI assay. The mean seropositive rates were 89.2% (97.4% in 2016, 77.6% in 2017, and 92.4% in 2018). This paper highlights the advances in understanding the effects of vaccines and control strategies for mitigating the emerging menace by EIV.

In this study, the shear resisting behaviors of the reinforced concrete beams strengthened with E.M.S(Epoxy Mortar including fiber Sheet) panel are investigated by test. The main variables in this test are the kind of strengthening material, panel thickness, the spacing of CFS(Carbon Fiber Sheet) stirrups and the amount of CFS. The results of this study are as follows : 1) The variables that had effects on the increment of the shear capacity were panel thickness, the shear span/depth ratio and shear reinforced ratio by CFS. 2) A formula to calculate the shear strength of beams strengthened with E.M.S panel was proposed considering the main variables. 3) The proposed equation showed a better agreement with the ultimate shear strength of RC beams with E.M.S panel very well.

This research was created with the intention of measuring the users posture in real-time utilizing an open-source, artificial intelligence-based posture estimation library, determining the appropriate amount of exercises, and correcting the posture as a result This research builds a web display with React and develops a self-made exercise model based on a server configuration using Django and MoveNet to give the functionality of recognizing the number of workouts, correcting posture, and monitoring the diet in order to address these issues. The service is anticipated to provide consumers a sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction while being highly accessible for novices and presenting new growth opportunities by utilizing artificial intelligence technology in the healthcare industry.
