        아세톤의 선택적 감지를 위한 In2O3 zig-zag nanocolumns

        We fabricated In2O3 zig-zag nanocolumns(ZZNCs) by oblique angle deposition method based on e-beam evaporator for highly sensitive and selective CH3COCH3 sensor. Our results indicate that as the ZZNCs layer stacks, the gas response also increases. In comparison to thin films, ZZNCs at 5 layer show a 117-fold enhancement in gas response and a rapid response time (~2 s). When measured with various gases, it showed a high selectivity towards acetone. Under conditions of R.H. 80%, exposure to CH3COCH3 gas theoretically indicated a detection limit of 1.2 part-per-billion(ppb). These results suggest the potential of In2O3 ZZNCs as a breath analyzer for the diagnosis of diabetes.

      • 대청호내 유기물질의 존재상태 및 분포특성

        대청호 상수원내 난분해성 유기물질의 분포특성를 파악하기 위해 XAD 수지 분획법을 이용하여 용존 자연유기물질의 특성을 파악하였다. 대상유역내 유기물질의 존재양태는 시기별로 상이한 결과를 나타 냈다. 지점에 따라소수성/반친수성/친수성 유기산(HPO/TPI/HPI acid)가 높은 함유량으로 존재하였으 며, 소수성 중성/염기성 유기물질(HPO b/n)과 친수성 중성/염기성 유기물질(HPI b/n)은 상대적으로 시공간적인 차이가 크지 않은 반면에. 소수성 유기물질이 높은 비율을 차지하는 지점도 확인할 수 있 었다. 이러한 상수원 수계내 자연유기물질의 분포특성에 대한 조사는 난분해성 유기물질의 적정관리 및 정수처리시설 최적 운영관리를 위해 유용한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

        한국에서의 후천성 면역 결핍증 환자에서 위장관을 침범한 카포시 육종의 증례발표 및 문헌고찰

        Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is a vascular neoplasm, which is fairly prevalent in acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) patients. Mucocutaneous and lymph node involvements are characteristic features of KS in AIDS patients. The involvement of gastrointestinal tract occurs in 40% of KS patients and leads to significant morbidity and mortality. In the highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) era, the rate of AIDS related KS has fallen with control of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) viremia. However, it is still recognized as the primary AIDS-defining illness, and the proportion of AIDS diagnoses made due to KS ranged from 4.1% to 7.5%. In Korea, AIDS-related KS has been report in low rate incidence. Its gastrointestinal involvements are rarely reported. To date, five cases have been recorded in Korea. Herein, we present an additional case of gastrointestinal KS as the AIDS-defining illness and review of the Korean medical literature. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2012;60:166-171)

        최신 연구 소개 : 저 발효성 올리고당류, 이당류, 단당류, 폴리올 식이가 과민성장증후군의 증상을 완화시킬 수 있는가?

        과민성장증후군 환자들 중 많은 수에서 식후 증상 악화 및 특정 음식에 대한 역효과를 호소한다. 이러한 음식과민증(food intolerance)으로 인해 2/3의 환자에서 증상 개선을 위해 특정 음식물을 배제하고 섭취하고 있다. 최근에 발효성 oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides와 polyols (FODMAPs)이 낮은 식이 조절이 임상에서 널리 각광 받고 있지만, 뒷받침할 수 있는 근거가 빈약한 상태이고 이러한 식단 조절은 자칫 부적절한 영양 섭취로 이르게 할 수 있다. 이에 Halmos 등1은 30명의 과민성장증후군 환자와 8명의 건강한 성인을 대상으로 전형적인 서구 식이와 FODMAPs이 낮은 식이요법 간의 무작위 대조연구를 진행하였고, 3주간의 식이 조절로 장 증상(복통, 복부 팽만감, 방귀)의 변화를 visual analogue scale (VAS)로 측정하였으며, 그 이외에 대변성상의 변화를 분석하였다. 또한 이들은 3주간의 휴약 기간 (washout period)을 거친 뒤에 다시 군을 바꾸어서 3주간의 식이요법을 진행하였다(Fig. 1). 그 결과 과민성장증후군 환자에서 저 FODMAPs 식이가 일반 서구 식이를 한 경우에 비해 유의하게 전반적인 장 증상이 완화되었고(low FODMAPs vs. typical diet, 22.8 vs. 44.9, p<0.001), 각각의 장 증상에 대한 VAS 역시 유의하게 호전된 결과를 보여주었다. 하지만 장증상 없는 건강한 성인의 경우, 식이 조절이 장 증상에 미치는 영향은 없었다. 또한 대변 성상의 변화를 분석할 때, 각 그룹간에 유의한 차이는 없었지만 저 FODMAPs 식이를 한 과민성장증후군 환자에서 대변에 대한 만족도가 더 높은 결과를 보여 주었다. 결론으로, 이번 임상 연구에서 과민성장증후군 환자를 대상으로 저 FODMAPs 식이를 하였을 때, 기능적인장 증상들이 감소한다는 결과를 보여주었으며, 저 FODMAPs 식이가 과민성장증후군 환자의 첫 번째 치료로 고려할 수 있는 근거를 확립하였다.

        Investigating Trk Protein Expression between Oropharyngeal and Non-oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Clinical Implications and Possible Roles of Human Papillomavirus Infection

        Purpose The relationship between head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and subtypes of tropomyosin-related kinase (Trk) has not been studied in-depth. In this study, we evaluated the expression patterns of TrkA, TrkB, and panTrk and their clinicopathological significance as well as association with p16 expression and human papillomavirus (HPV) status. Materials and Methods Total of 396 radically resected oropharyngeal (n=121) and non-oropharyngeal (n=275) HNSCCs were included. Immunohistochemistry for TrkA, TrkB, and panTrk was performed. In addition, p16 immunohistochemistry was performed to assess the HPV status. Using HPV-negative HNSCC cell lines, FaDu and CAL27, HPV type 16 E6/E7 gene was transfected, and then changes of TrkA and TrkB expression were analyzed. Results In the clinical samples of HNSCC, high expression of TrkA and panTrk were more associated with oropharyngeal and p16 positive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). In patients with completely resected (R0-resected) oropharyngeal SCC, high TrkA expression was related to superior overall survival and recurrence-free survival (RFS). In patients with R0-resected oral cavity SCC, high panTrk was related to poor RFS. In HPV type E6/E7 gene-transfected FaDu and CAL27 cell lines, increase of TrkA expression was observed. Conclusion It seems that expression pattern of panTrk and TrkA differed according to anatomical sites of HNSCC and was closely related to p16 expression and patient prognosis. Trk expression should be considered in the context of anatomical site, p16 expression or HPV status and Trk subtypes.

        조직구성원들의 조직변화 저항에 미치는 상사의 비인격적 감독의 직접효과와 도덕적 정체성의 매개효과

        This study examined the processes linking abusive supervision to employees’ resistant toward organizational change by focusing on the mediating influence of moral identity. Tepper(2000) defined abusive supervision as subordinates’ perceptions of the extent to which their supervisors engage in the sustained display of hostile, verbal and nonverbal behaviors, excluding physical contact. previous research has examined why and how abusive supervision is related to its demonstrated outcomes. so that we predict moral identity would relate to the two dimensions of resistant toward organizational change(psychological, behavioral) and to mediate the abusive supervision–resistant toward organizational change relationship. specially this study explores a possible social psychological explanation for the attitudes and behaviors of people who respond negatively toward organizational change. this explanation derives from the psychological effects of a self-regulating construct referred to as moral identity that connects the abusive supervision behavior to organizational change efforts through the evaluative implications of moral self. After literature review, we proposed main effect and mediating effect hypothesis. to test hypothesis, survey method were performed. total 200 questionnaires are used for analysis. the results are as follows. first, abusive supervision significantly increased psychological and behavioral resistant toward organizational change. second, moral identity have significantly decreased behavioral resistant toward organizational change. finally, moral identity mediate relationship between abusive supervision and behavioral resistant toward organizational change. these results indicate that to lead success of organizational change efforts, organization should be managed and mitigate abusive supervision. more specially we expand theoretical implication of moral identity’ role. therefore, this study makes contributions to research of moral identity and explain of abusive supervision’s influences.

        고감도 H<sub>2</sub>S 감지를 위한 SnO<sub>2</sub> 장식된 Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> nanorods 이종구조

        The creation of vertically aligned one-dimensional (1D) nanostructures through the decoration of n-type tin oxide (SnO<sub>2</sub>) on p-type chromium oxide (Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>) constitutes an effective strategy for enhancing gas sensing performance. These heterostructures are deposited in multiple stages using a glancing angle deposition technique with an electron beam evaporator, resulting in a reduction in the surface porosity of the nanorods as SnO<sub>2</sub> is incorporated. In comparison to Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> films, the bare Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> nanorods exhibits a response 3.3 times greater to 50 ppm H<sub>2</sub>S at 300°C, while the SnO<sub>2</sub>-decorated Cr<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> nanorods demonstrate an eleven-fold increase in response. Furthermore, when subjected to various gases (CH<sub>4</sub>, H<sub>2</sub>S, CO<sub>2</sub>, H<sub>2</sub>), a notable selectivity toward H<sub>2</sub>S is observed. This study paves the way for the development of p-type semiconductor sensors with heightened selectivity and sensitivity towards H<sub>2</sub>S, thus advancing the prospects of gas sensor technology.

        토양산도가 무궁화의 생장 및 화색에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 나라꽃 무궁화의 아름다움을 나타내는 화색에 미치는 요인 중 토양산도와 무궁화의 화색특성과 생장과의 관계를 조사 연구함으로써 가장 이상적인 색깔을 갖추는 pH 범위를 파악하여 무궁화 화색육종 계획의 기초를 마련하고자 하였다. 토양산도별 생육특성을 조사하고 분석한 결과 홍화랑과 영광 품종은 pH 7에서 엽수가 183.73개와 135.87개로 가장 높게 나타났으며 pH가 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 토양산도별 4품종의 화색변화를 조사하고 분석한 결과 홍화랑 품종은 pH가 높아짐에 따라 L값은 17.05~12.26로 점점 낮아졌으며 a값은 16.37~20.91로 점점 높게 나타났다. This is a study on relationship between soil pH and flower color and growth of Hibiscus siriacus L, looking for the pH range to result the most ideal flower color. I anticipate this study result will lay a foundation of improved breeding plan of Hibiscus siriacus L. According to the result of investigation and analysis on bleeding peculiarities by each soil pH, the numbers of leaves in Honghwarang and Younggwang reached the highest at pH 7: 188.73 and 135.87 respectively. Increased pH resulted the increased number of leaves. According to the result of investigation and analysis on color changes of four kinds of Hibiscus siriacus L. at various pH level, Honghwarang s L value gradually decreased from 17.05 to 12.26 at pH increase while a value increased from 16.37 to 20.91.

        B-Type Natriuretic Peptide Predicts Clinical Presentations and Ventricular Overloading in Patients with Heart Failure

        Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), a neurohormone secreted from the ventricular myocardium in response to hemodynamic load/wall stress, in congestive heart failure (CHF). This study was performed to evaluate the correlation between BNP level and clinical presentations and hemodynamic parameters obtained by echo-Doppler (echo-Doppler) analysis, and its relation with disease severity and ventricular load/wall stress. CHF patients (n=246) were subgrouped by clinical presentations and echo-Doppler findings into 4 groups: diastolic HF only, chronic HF, acute HF, and chronic HF with acute exacerbation. A BNP level of 81.2 pg/ml showed a sensitivity/ specificity of 53.3%/98.4% for detecting CHF (AUC, 0.882; p<0.0001), and was found to be closely related with the NYHA classification (p<0.0001). Log BNP was related with LVEF (r2=0.3015, p<0.0001) and the Meridional wall stress index (r2=0.4052, p<0.0001). The difference between the BNP levels of the subgroups and BNP control was significant (p<0.0001), exept between the HF group and the controls; control (n=114, 20.9±31.4pg/ml), only diastolic HF (n=84, 89.8±117.6pg/ml), chronic HF (n=60, 208.2±210.2pg/ml), acute HF (n=28, 477.9±498.4 pg/ml), chronic HF with acute exacerbation (n= 74, 754.1±419.2pg/ml). The BNP level was significantly higher in the only diastolic HF group than in the asymptomatic control group with diastolic dysfunction (89.8±12.8 vs. 22.8±5.1pg/ml, p<0.0001). BNP may be a good indicator for the differential diagnosis of a broad spectrum of heart failures. And, elevated BNP might help to diagnose diastolic HF in patients with diastolic dysfunction.
