        논의과정 활용 수업이 초등학생의 학습 동기와 과학태도와 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of science instruction using argumentation, with Tolumin's structure of argument, on students' learning motivation and scientific attitude. In the instruction, well-structured problems selected to be argument, in which interactions among students are stressed. The subjects were classified into two groups: One group is composed of sixty-seven students (experimental group) who were participated in solving processes of the scientific argument tasks, and the other is composed of sixty-nine students (comparative group) who were participated in the traditional teaching method. The results of this study implied that experimental group has a positive effect on students' learning motivation and scientific attitude.

        제 6·7차 교육과정 초등학교 3,4학년 과학교과서 물질영역 비교 분석

        The purpose of this study is to examine how well students can acquired scientific knowledge from the process and activity presented in the textbook. This is achived by analysing of comparison on the material area in the 6th and 7th national curriculums` 3rd and 4th grad science textbooks. Following is the result of the study. First, compared to the 6th national curriculum`s content, 7th national curriculum is composed by phenomenon and activity focused. This considers student`s developmental stages and abilities of concentration so one topic in the textbook is divided into 16 small contents. Therefore the textbook content of the 7th curriculum seems to have desirable changes. Secondly, teacher`s instruction in the textbook of the 7th curriculum has impartial distribution is part Ⅰ and part Ⅱ according to Romey`s analysis. This shows that some problems of writing textbook emphasizes inquiry process as the 6th curriculum did. The 7th curriculum, however, more deeply deals with expecting and inferring. Finally, the analysis of illustration show that the proportion of motive induction is high. This is also desirable approach to give students more interest in studying science.

        IIM을 적용한 소집단 탐구학습이 초등학생들의 과학 탐구능력 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of small group inquiry activities using IIM on the science process skills and scientific attitudes of students in higher elementary grades. To verify research problems, the subjects of this study were fifth-grade students selected from two classes of an elementary school located in Busan : the research group was composed of thirty students who participated in small group inquiry activities using IIM teaching model situation, and the other was composed of thirty students(comparative group) who participated in a teacher map- based learning situation. For six weeks, the small group inquiry activities using IIM were executed in the research group, while the teacher-map based instruction was conducted in the comparative group Test showed the following results: First, the research group showed a significant improvement in their science process skills compared to the comparative group. Second, the research group did not show a significant improvement in their scientific attitudes compared to the comparative group. In conclusion, small group inquiry activities using the IIM teaching model was more effective than the teacher map-based teaching model on science process skills. However, since the study has a limit on the object of the study and the applied curriculum, the additional studies need to be conducted with an extended comparative group and curriculum.

      • 유아에서의 메타콜린 유발 검사의 의의

        A study was performed to evaluate the usefulness of methacholine challenge test in preschool children unable to perform the spirometry 45 cases were selected from patients complaining frequent respiratory illness, seen in ourpatient clinic of pediatric department, Chungnam University hospital during the period of Aug. 1994 to July 1996. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The values of methacholine concentration showing PC20 were widely distributed as reange of 0.3mg/ml to 25 mg/ml, not 50 mg/ml. 2. Methacholine mean value inducing cough was 1.25mg/ml in under 6 year of age, 2.5mg/ml in over 6 year of age. 3. Methacholine mean value inducing wheezing was 5 mg/dl in under 6 year of age, 10mg/ml. in over 6 year of age. 4. Methacholine concentrations showing PC20 values induced by methacholine challenge were more compatible with those of wheezing than cough. 5. Wheezing and cough were not correlated in methacholine challenge test With the results, a significant association was found between bronchial responseiveness to methacholine and wheezing checked by ausculation. Clinical manifestation, as wheezing, by methacholine challenge, can be predictable for pulmonary function value in preschool children without spirometry.

        프로젝트 기반 STEAM 프로그램 개발 및 적용 효과

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the Project based STEAM program on primary students' Problem solving process and creative personality. Based on the concept of project based learning and STEAM derived from a literature review, a learning program has been developed and applied to 28 elementary 4-6th students. Problem Solving Process and Creative personality tests were conducted before and after Project based STEAM program lessons. The results of this study are as follows. (1)Project-based STEAM was affected all components of problem solving process. (2) Project-based STEAM was affected all eight components of creative personality positively, (3) after using Project-based STEAM was good reaction by students. As a result, the elementary science class with Project-based STEAM had problem solving process for positive educational effect and creative personality. it means the science class with creative personality has potential possibilities and value to develop problem solving process and creative personality.

        The Study was intended to suggest the desirable direction in the 7th national curriculum revision through the analysis and comparison of the elementary science textbooks in the 6th & 7th national curriculum. The conclusions of the study with changes of contents and questions of statement of the elementary science textbooks are as follows. First, the portion of inquiry process domain decreased a little but the portion of cognitive domain increased. This cause is a essentially factor in science that will be not separated to two aspects with knowledge and inquiry process. Second, this in increased step by step a observing, defining a operating, a recording, and a transmissing in 6th national curriculum, specially this is worth notice that make rapid increased a prodicting and a infering but decreased a controlling variables and a interpreting data. Third, this is shown that small an index of I.S.I. at analysing question in the 7th national curriculum. This fact is shown that indicated a defect of the elementary science textbooks in the 7th national curriculum.

        ‘지층과 암석’에 대한 초등 예비 교사의 지식 이해와 교수유형

        The study aims to figure out pre-service elementary teachers’ knowledge understanding on ‘stratum and rock’ as well as teaching-learning types on the same topic. A total of 65 seniors in an advanced science education course at B University of Education joined the research to fulfill the purpose above. With PCK classification framework, the study examined pre-service teachers’ knowledge understanding on ‘stratum and rock’ while it analyzed how the teachers would teach the given topic to students. The results of the study are presented as follows. First, it was observed that the pre-service elementary teachers have a great understanding on ‘stratum and rock’ that would be taught via a science textbook for elementary fourth graders. However, regarding terms in ‘shale and limestone’, they appeared to have a relatively short understanding. Second, PCK elements of the pre-service teachers related to ‘stratum and rock’ were analyzed and according to the results, the teachers would be interested in teaching model selecting in the teaching-learning strategy field while they would be well aware of how important it is for them to perform an experiment in a teaching process. The teachers also appeared to understand that the teacher question can be mutual complementary during class. However, it turned out that the teachers would have a very much low understanding on learners’ prior knowledge as they particularly believe that learning could be significantly affected by the learners’ perception level as well as their learning interest and motive. Third, the pre-service elementary teachers were told to design teaching plans on ‘stratum and rock’ so that the study could find out what learning-teaching methods the teachers would adopt to teach the topic. It was learned that the teachers would proceed with the class basically by giving the learners a descriptive explanation on the topic and also by using pictures and drawings to enhance the learners’ understanding during the class.

        초등과학 지역화 수업전략이 학생들의 환경인식에 미치는 영향

        The aim of the study is determined to find out how elementary science localization teaching strategy would influence environmental perception of students. In order to fulfill the research purpose, a total of 51 fifth graders from two classes in M Elementary School in U City were divided into a 26 of experimental group and a 25 of comparative group. The study was carried out from September to November of 2012. For the experimental group, an elementary science localization classes were conducted while for the comparative group, a general science classes were performed. The results of the research are presented as follows. First, it was learned that the experimental group with the elementary science localization class would have a significantly and statistically high environmental sensitivity comparing to that of the comparative group. That proves the elementary science localization class’s being efficient at improving the students’ environmental sensitivity. Second, the experimental group with the elementary science localization class turned out to have a significantly and statistically strong will to protect the environment than the comparative group would do. Such finding says that the elementary science localization class is helpful to enhance the students’ will to preserve the environment. In conclusion, the study came to understand that the elementary science localization teaching strategy can improve the environmental perceptions of the students for such elementary science localization class would efficiently encourage environmental interest of the students.
