Imported Heroes: A Comparative Study of the Novel Sanguozhi pinghua 三國志平話 and the Pansori Novel Hwayongdo 華容道

A Chinese novel Sanguozhi pinghua, and a Korean novel Hwayongdo share striking similarities. Both are historical novels dealing with the Three Kingdoms Period in China. Both were written in contemporary vernacular Chinese and Korean respectively and have deep ties to oral literature of the time. Sanguozhi pinghua is the inspiration and the prototype of Hwayongdo and Sanguo yanyi, a work more widely-read than Sanguozhi pinghua itself, which provided Hwayongdo with its characters and narrative. This paper will analyze and address the characteristics and similarities visible in both novels, and I will argue that those similarities stem from the fact that they were composed in a similar context. Sanguozhi pinghua and Hwayongdo are the outcomes of convergent literary evolution, as they are written renditions of oral repertoire, re-created into novels.

황해도굿의 ‘맥아더 몸주신’ 연구 -이정자 만신을 예증삼아-

The phenomenon of Korean shaman, or mudang, channelling and worshipping General Douglas MacArthur is somewhat popular among those who are aware of modern Korean history and culture. However, it is not something the native Koreans envision when thinking about ‘shamanism’ in general. In this paper, I will attempt to bridge the chasm between the traditional, “Korean,” shamanism and the unforseen deity of an American General, by conducting a series of interviews to a Korean mudang who serves the General as part of her main Pantheon. The image of the short, soft-spoken female shaman donning American service uniform, putting on MacArthur’s all-too-famous sunglasses and corncob pipe to suddenly be bold and confident in front of her believers, is not a unique sight. It is a continuation of generations-long worship of historical marshal generals; Douglas MacArthur only followed in a track of Korean generals. 인천 지역의 만신이 몸주신으로 더글러스 맥아더 장군을 섬기는 현상에 대해서 많은 주목이 있어왔다. 실존인물이 인격신으로 좌정한 측면에서 맥아더 장군은, 그 외국인으로써의 측면과 현대인으로써의 측면이 공존한다. 맥아더를 섬기는 강신무는 굿을 연행할 때, 미군 군복을 입고 맥아더의 아이콘이라 볼 수 있는 선글라스와 담뱃대를 착용하여 신을 부른다. 그 화제성에도 불구하고, 맥아더 숭배에 대한 심층적인 연구는 제한적으로만 진행되어 왔다. 그렇기 때문에, 맥아더 신앙을 심도 있게 연구한다면 종교와 신앙이 실시간으로 변화하고 진화하여 나가는 것에 대한 소중한 사례가 될 것이라고 믿는다. 본 연구는 맥아더 장군 신앙의 특이함을 이야기하고자 함이 아니다. 반대로 맥아더 신앙의 연행 과정과 배경, 그를 섬기는 만신의 입신과정부터 현재의 모습까지를 가까이에서 연구함으로써, 맥아더 장군의 신앙은 오히려 우리 무속의 역사에서 꾸준히 존재해온 장군신의 형상과 일맥상통하는, 무속 전통의 연장선상에서 존재한다는 것을 논증하려 한다.

송순섭 명창의 생애와 판소리 철학

Song Sun-seop is current holder of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Pansori, for his mastery of Pansori <Jeokbyeokga>. He won the president’s award in 1994’s Jeonju Daesaseup competition. Not only that, he is devoting himself to publishing written repertoires of Pansori, and also a still active Pansori performer. In this paper I will attempt to sort his Pansori philosophy, which is about his systemization of vocalization and pronunciation of Pansori, his compilation of corrected Pansori text, and his influence in choreography and improvisation of Pansori. I define Song’s approach to his art as ‘Pansori Philosophy,’ because in his performance of Pansori he transcended from being just a performer, to a Pansori philosopher. He became so as he defined the text of Pansori in the context of pre-modern and modern literature, and he continues to try to revivify Pansori as an active art form.. 송순섭 명창은 박봉술 명창이 보유해온 동편제 <적벽가>를 적통으로 잇고 있는 판소리 적벽가 보유자이다. 또한 1994년에 전주대사습 판소리 명창부 장원을 차지하였고, 판소리 창본집 발간에 열정을 쏟고 있으며, 여전히 무대에서 활약하는 우리 시대의 명창이다. 이 논문에서는 판소리 철학과 관련하여 그가 성취한 명료한 판소리 발음에 관한 이론체계와 사설정리, 송순섭의 발림, 그리고 송순섭의 더늠과 즉흥성이라는 범주로 나누어 살펴보려 한다. 송순섭 명창의 생애와 예술관을, 타 연행자와 비교하는 맥락에서 ‘판소리 철학’이라고 이름붙이고, 그것을 논의의 핵심으로 삼고자 한다. 이 논문을 통해, 송순섭 명창이 연행에만 집중하는 광대의 일반적 행태를 넘어, 판소리의 본래적 의미를 되돌아보고 정확한 맥락을 찾아서 오늘의 청중‧관객에게 판소리의 활력을 되찾게 하고자 애쓰는, 분명한 철학을 가진 명창이라는 점을 살펴보기로 한다.

특성화고등학생의 기업가정신 및 심리적 성장환경이 창업의지에 미치는 영향 : 성격 5모델 요인의 조절효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 특성화 고등학생의 창업의지 형성에 있어 기업가 정신과 심리적 성장환경의 영향과 성격 5모델 요인이 조절효과에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 연구결과, 기업가 정신과 심리적 성장 환경은 청소년 창업의지 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있으며 기업가 정신과 심리적 성장 환경이 청소년 창업의지 형성에 미치는 영향에 있어 성격 5모델 요인이 조절효과를 보이고 있는 것으로 연구되었으며, 본 연구의 시사점으로는 특성화 고등학생의 창업의지는 기업가 정신이 높은 학생일수록 창업의지는 더욱 크게 형성되며, 성격5모델 요인의 조절효과 검증결과 기업가 정신에 대한 교육과 함께, 학생 개개인에 성격을 파악해 내향적, 정서적 불안정, 폐쇄적이며 친화성이 없는 학생에 대한 성격 개선 교육프로그램을 통해 창업의지 형성을 더욱 극대화 할 수 있을 것으로 특성화 고등학생의 창업교육에 있어 보다 효율적인 교육프로그램을 개발하는데 도움이 되었다.

중학생의 합창 지도 실태 조사 연구 : 전라북도 지역을 중심으로

이 연구의 목적은 중학생들이 즐겁게 합창활동을 함으로서 또래관계와 학교생활 및 음악적 감성에 도움이 되고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 학교음악교육에서 합창지도의 경험이나 교내 동아리 활동에서 합창지도의 경험이 있는 선생님들의 의견을 조사하였으며, 합창활동에서 기본이 되는 요소를 기반으로 하여 발성, 호흡, 자세 등의 내용을 살펴보았다. 설문조사는 연구자의 편의를 위해 전라북도에 소재한 40곳의 중학교이며, 그 중 32개 학교의 음악교사가 참여하였다. 설문의 내용은 참여자의 기초자료와 합창수업의 목적, 파트나누기, 합창지도의 어려운 점, 합창을 지도하는 이유와 그 영향에 대한 것이다. 또한 합창활동 참여에서 음악교재 사용의의 빈도를 파악하여 교재에 대한 악곡의 만족이나 요구 등에 대한 것을 살피고자 하였다. 설문결과에서는 교과서에 제시되는 합창곡에 대한 양과 내용에 대부분 만족하고 있었으며, 장르의 선택폭에는 다양성에 대한 고려가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 합창곡을 선택할 때는 대부분 곡의 흥미보다는 음역대를 고려하였는데 이는 청소년기의 변성기와 사춘기의 정서적 특성을 참고한 것으로 여겨진다. 음악에서 합창은 단순하게 가창활동의 일부라고 생각할 수 있으나, 청소년의 정서적인 요소와 교육환경적인 요인을 중심으로 학교 음악교육에서 수행해야할 가치로운 음악활동이다. 중학교시기에는 합창활동으로 협동심과 상호작용을 극대화할 수 있는 음악교육으로 학생들의 참여와 다양한 표현이 이루어질 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study is to help middle school students enjoy their choral activities to improve their peer relationships, school life, and musical sensibility. For this purpose, the opinions of teachers who have experience of choral instruction in school music education or choir instruction in school club activities were investigated. For the convenience of researchers, the survey was conducted at 40 middle schools in Jeollabuk-do, and music teachers from 32 of them participated. The contents of the questionnaire are about the basic data of the participants, the purpose of the choral class, the division of parts, the difficulties of choral instruction, the reason for teaching the chorus, and its influence. In addition, the frequency of use of music materials in participation in choral activities was investigated to examine the satisfaction or demands of music materials. According to the survey results, most of them were satisfied with the quantity and content of choral songs presented in textbooks, and it was found that it was necessary to consider diversity in the selection range of genres. When selecting a choral song, most of them considered the range rather than the interest of the song, which is considered to be a reference to the metamorphosis of adolescence and the emotional characteristics of adolescence. In music, choral singing can be thought of as a simple part of singing activities, but it is a valuable musical activity to be performed in school music education focusing on the emotional and educational environmental factors of adolescents. In the middle school period, it is necessary for students to participate in music education that maximizes cooperation and interaction through choral activities and to make various expressions.

<신재효본 적벽가>의 <삼국지연의> 수용양상과 친연성 비교연구

Shin Jae-hyo is one of the most influential figures in the history of the pansori. He compiled six pansori into a repertoire that shaped the pansori itself. One of the repertoires is Jeokbyeokga, which is based on the Chinese novel Romance of Three Kingdoms, or Sanguo Yanyi. This research aims to compare and contrast Yanyi and Shin’s version of Jeokbyeokga to examine how deeply and extensively the influence of Yanyi is on Shin’s Jeokbyeokga. In the second chapter, the research divides the entire narrative into six chapters, which are further divided into 26 deoneum signature songs. deoneums were chosen, as five of the 26 deoneums were completely independent of the influence of Yanyi. Four different signs were used to help understand the various degrees of similarities. If a certain part in the pansori is literally the same as in ’s, the ● sign was used. If a certain part of Yanyi’ is summarized into the pansori’s counterpart, the ▲ sign was used. If Shin has extended a part in Yanyi to create semi-original , the ★ sign was used. If the pansori’s part is completely original, it was shown with a ■ sign. The third chapter, starting from Chapter 1 and onwards: 1) Comparison from “Prologue” to “Battles of Bakmangpa‧Baekha‧ Jangpangyo” 2) Comparison from “Kongming Goes to Wu” to “Kongming and Zhou You Discusses Attacking with Fire” 3) Comparison from “Great Feast at Cao Cao’s Camp” to “Soldiers’ Lament” 4) Comparison from “Kongming Prays for Southeast Wind” to “Zhou You Rallies Troops 2” 5) Comparison of “Battle of Red Cliff” 6) Comparison of “Cao Cao’s Rout” This research has found is that the earlier parts and chapters of the pansori include more similarities with Yanyi, while the later chapters and parts include more originality by Shin Jae-hyo. The individual parts’ characteristics are also analyzed, showing that the Yanyi-derived parts are more formal and reserved, while Shin’s created parts are satirical and merciless against Cao Cao, the villain of the story. Therefore, the later chapters show much less similarity with Yanyi. The fourth chapter examines the quantity of the respective parts, showing how much of the text exists, divided by the degrees of similarity with Yanyi. Half of the text is related to Yanyi, while the other half is unrelated to the novel. Among the first half, the ones with the citation-level similarity (●) take up about 5/8, while briefly summarized texts (▲) take up about 1/8. The original songs and texts inspired by Yanyi (★) take approximately 1/4. The numbers show that half of the text can be strongly associated with Yanyi and was loosely inspired by it. This research did not analyze the parts where the pansori was totally independent of Yanyi. The plan is to analyze the parts that exist only in Shin’s pansori. Shin’s version of Jeokbyeokga will then be completely defined and analyzed in its entirety, and Shin Jae-hyo’s characteristic as an author will be defined as well. 이 논문은 <신재효본 적벽가>과 <삼국지연의>의 친연성을 행문의 실제적 대비‧비교를 통하여 살펴보고자 하는 목적에서 출발하였다. <신재효본 적벽가>는 160매 분량의 창본인데, 이 가운데 <연의>와 직접 연관된 부분은 80매 정도이고, <삼국지연의>와 상관없이 신재효가 당대의 창본을 참고하여 자신의 사설로 구성한 부분이 80매 정도이다. 따라서 <신재효본>이 <연의>와 관련을 맺으며 사설화한 80매 분량이 이 논문의 비교대상이었다. 2장은 <신재효본>과 <연의>의 대비를 위하여 먼저 예비적으로 몇가지 개념을 설정하였다. 이 논문은 <신재효본>의 순차적 서사구성을 여섯 단계로 나누고, 모두 26개의 더늠을 추출하였다. 각 더늠은 ABC 등 영자기호를 사용하여 구분하였으며, <연의>와는 무관한 다섯개 더늠을 빼고, 21개의 더늠을 <연의>와 비교대상으로 확정하였다. <신재효본>과 <연의>의 행문비교를 위하여 각 더늠은 몇 개의 사설단위로 나누고, 그 사설에 해당하는 부분을 <연의>에서 찾아 대조‧비교하였다. 실제로 비교의 핵심은 사설단위와 <연의> 해당부분의 행문비교에 있다는 점을 밝혔다. <신재효본>사설과 <삼국지연의>를 비교하면서, 친연성의 정도를 비교하기 위하여 각 사설마다 친연성의 정도를 기호를 이용하여 표기하였다. <신재효본>과 <연의>가 완벽하게 일치되는 사설은 ●기호로, <연의> 내용을 요약하여 연변(演變)시키되 핵심어를 포함한 사설은 ▲기호로, <연의> 기반 신재효 창작사설은 ★기호로, <연의>에 없는 신재효 특유의 더늠은 ■기호로 표기하였다. 3장에서는 앞에서 구분한 여섯 단계를 순차적 비교를 통해 친연성의 정도를 확인하였다. 친연성 비교를 위한 여섯단계는 다음과 같다. 1) 1단계 ‘초압’~‘박망파‧백하‧장판교’까지의 사설별 비교 2) 2단계 ‘공명동오행’~‘공명주유 화공논의’까지 사설 비교 3) 3단계 ‘조조진영잔치’~‘군사서름’까지 사설 비교 4) 4단계 ‘공명동남풍비는대목’~‘주유군사분발2’까지 사설 비교 5) 5단계 ‘적벽대전’의 사설 비교 6) 6단계 ‘조조패주’의 사설 비교 이 사설별 비교를 통하여 <신재효본>은 <연의>와 대부분 행문이 일치되거나 비슷한 사설이 많다는 점을 밝히고, 두 텍스트 사이의 친연성을 확인하였다. 특히 1단계에서 <연의>와 일치하게 연변시켜서 사설화한 부분이 압도적으로 많다는 사실을 밝혔다. 2단계 이후에서도 <연의>와의 친연성이 현존 창본과 비교하여 두드러지고 있다는 점을 확인하였다. <신재효본>의 후반부에는 신재효가 연변시킨 사설과 더늠이 특히 많으며, 조조에 대한 야유와 풍자의 정서가 두드러진다는 사실도 밝혔다. <신재효본>에 조조비판이 아주 강하게 표출되는데 비하여, <연의>에서는 간략하게, 그리고 중립적으로 서술되어 있다는 점도 밝혔다. 그래서 후반으로 오면 두 텍스트 사이의 친연성의 정도가 많이 약화되어 있음을 확인하였다. 4장에서는 <연의>가 <신재효본>의 사설에 미친 영향의 정도를 4단계로 나누어 수평적으로 분석하였다. <신재효본>은 ㉮<연의>의 번역수준 사설(●기호)이 전체의 5/8, ㉯<연의>를 요약한 사설(▲기호)이 1/8, ㉰<연의>기반의 신재효 구성더늠(★기호)1/4로 사설화되어 있음을 밝혔다. 80매 전체가 <연의>와 아주 밀도있는 동질적 수준의 작품에서부터, 느슨한 친연성을 가지고 있다는 사실을 확인하였다. 앞으로, <연의>와 무관하게 <신재효본>에만 존재하는 더늠들을 분석하여 <신재효본>의 성격을 밝히는 일이 남아있다. 이를 통하여 <신본>의 종합적 성격을 구명할 수 있으며, 신재효의 작가의식도 제대로 구명할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

공정 데이터 압축 성능평가를 위한 시뮬레이터 설계

산업분야에서 이용되는 공정 데이터는 데이터와 데이터 사이의 변화폭이 비교적 좁고, 많게는 수만개의 포인트가 실시간으로 수집, 저장되어지는 대용량의 데이터라는 특징이 있다. 이러한 특성을 지닌 공정 데이터는 공정의 모든 데이터를 저장하지 않고, 전체를 대표하는 데이터의 일부만을 저장한다. 이러한 공정 데이터를 효과적으로 관리하고, 보관하기 위해 공정 데이터 압축 알고리즘에 대한 개발과 연구가 진행 중이다. 그러나 이미 알려져 있는 공정 데이터 압축 알고리즘과 개발하고 있는 알고리즘의 성능에 대한 평가를 할 수 있는 시뮬레이터는 개인이나 작은 집단만을 위해 만들어지거나, 공개되지 않고 있어 사용하기에 제한적이다. 이에 공정 데이터 압축 성능평가를 위한 시뮬레이터인 PDCS(Process Data Compression Simulator)를 제안하고자 한다. PDCS는 클라이언트, 서버기반으로 구성되어있고, 데이터 압축 알고리즘에 대한 성능평가가 가능한 시뮬레이터이다.
