        대학부설 한국어교육기관의 평가인증제 방안을 위한 시론 -CEA, Eaquals와 ACCJC의 외국어교육기관 평가인증 기준을 중심으로-

        Korean language education has now disseminated worldwide; as a result, it is necessary to establish an evaluation and accreditation system for Korean language institutes to facilitate quality management of these institutes. This study, therefore, comparatively analyzed overseas evaluation and accreditation systems for language education, and drew a plan for an evaluation and accreditation system for Korean language institutes that corresponds to the Korean context. For the comparative analysis, this study first conducted a thorough literature review concerning the evaluation and accreditation systems and standards of both Korean and overseas language institutes, and extensively examined elements for comparison. Based on the examination, an institutional approach was taken for further examination. CEA, Eaquals, and ACCJC agencies were selected among representative overseas language education evaluation and accreditation organizations, and the evaluation standards suggested by these three organizations were examined. A comprehensive review on the evaluation systems of overseas language education evaluation organizations is highly valuable as it consolidates the foundation for establishing a future evaluation and accreditation system for Korean language institutes. Finally, the study summarized the evaluation standards of the three organizations discussed, and suggested requirements for short-, mid-, and long-term goals to realize the plan for an evaluation and accreditation system for Korean language institutes.(Pyeongtaek University)

        대학 학부 외국인 유학생의 문화지능에 대한 연구 : P대학의 수업 사례를 중심으로

        This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cultural intelligence at the beginning and end of the semester for undergraduate international students by comparing the instruction of humanism classes based on metacognitive, cognitive, motivational, and behavioral cultural intelligence proposed by Ang et al. (2007). Before the lecture, the metacognitive cultural intelligence score was the highest, motivational was the second highest, behavioral was next, and cognitive cultural intelligence was the lowest. Results show a significant improvement through the instruction of humanism in cognitive, behavioral, metacognitive, and motivational cultural intelligence. In conclusion, cultural intelligence can be improved through personality classes that focus on cultural intelligence for undergraduate international students. Moreover, through this study, it will be possible to provide an optimized curriculum for international university students.

        북한이탈주민의 언어교육 현황 및 외국의 사례를 통한 시사점 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 한국에 거주하고 있는 북한이탈주민의 언어교육 현황을 살펴보고, 국외 사례를 통해 북한이탈주민의 언어교육에 대한 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 현재 북한이탈주민이 남한에서 겪고 있는 어려움은 한국 사회 적응 보다도 남한 사람과 북한이탈주민 간의 담화적인 측면에서 생겨나는 의사소통의 문제이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 하나원과 하나센터에서 이루어지고 있는 언어교육 현황을 살펴보고, 국외 동·서독의 사례를 살펴보았다. 독일의 사례를 통해 북한이탈주민의 언어교육 방향에 대해 두 가지 시사점을 제시하였다. 첫째, 어휘의 다름을 파악하여 사전 편찬 사업을 지속적으로 추진해야 한다. 둘째, 언어문화적 측면의 교육과정이 제시되어야 한다. 이러한 시사점 도출은 통일 이후 남북한 사람 들의 내적 통합이 이루어지고, 서로 다른 언어로 인해 생기는 의사소통 문제를 최소화 할 수 있기를 기대한다. This study aims to examine the status of language education for North Korean defectors in South Korea and to suggest improvement measures based on the study of overseas examples. Currently, North Koreans living in South Korea find it more difficult to communicate with other South Koreans in conversational settings than to adjust themselves to the South Korean society. In this study, language education provided in Hanawon and Hana Center, the settlement and reeducation support institutions in South Korea, are reviewed. Further, overseas examples of East and West Germany is discussed. Case studies of other nations provided an insight into the measures to minimize confusion both North and South Koreans will encounter in the case of reunification. In the case of Germany, I suggested two implications for the language education of North Korean defectors. First, It is necessary to grasp the difference of vocabulary and to continue to compile lexicography. Second, The Discourse curriculum of language and cultural aspect should be presented. This suggests that, the integration of the people of North and South Korea will be achieved after the reunification and minimizes communication problems caused by different languages.

        대학 온라인 수업에서의 유학생 만족도와 향후 개선 방안: P대학 사례를 중심으로

        본 연구는 최근 국내 대학에서 전면적으로 실시된 온라인 수업에서 학문 목적 유학생들의 수업 만족도를 향상시키고 수업에 대한 질적 제고를 위해 유학생들의 경험을 공유하고 문제점을 진단할 필요가 있다는 인식에서 출발하였다. 이를 위해 학문 목적 유학생 80명을 대상으로 온라인 수업 환경 요인, 교수자 요인, 학습자 요인에 대한 설문조사를 실시하여 효과적인 학습 개선 방안을 찾고자 하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 수업의 환경 요인에 따른 만족도에는 큰 차이가 없었으나 교수자와의 상호작용과 수업의 집중도에서 동시적 원격교육방식이 비동시적 원격교육방식보다 다소 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 교수자 요인에서는 학습자 수준에 맞는 교수가 다소 높게 나타났고 학습자와의 친밀감이 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 셋째, 학습자 요인에서는 참여도가 가장 높게 나타났으며 동기, 흥미, 만족도에 비해 자신감이 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 향후 학문 목적 유학생들을 위한 온라인 수업에서는 학습관리시스템(LMS)을 번역하여 제공하고 정보 소양 교육을 병행하며 유학생들의 자신감을 향상시키기 위해 자기주도학습 방안을 고안하여야 한다. 그중 에서도 비동시적 원격교육 방식과 오프라인 수업을 결합한 블랜디드 러닝(Blended Learning) 방식의 적극적 사용을 통해 학습효과를 극대화할 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study was to start with the acknowledgement that it is necessary to share the experiences of international students and diagnose problems in the recent online classes provided by domestic universities, in order to improve class satisfaction and the quality of online education. For this study, we questioned 80 international students for academic purposes and conducted online surveys on “environmental,” “instructor,” and “learner” factors to find effective ways to improve learning. The results show no significant difference in satisfaction, according to the environmental factors of online classes; however, the synchronous distance learning method scored somewhat higher than the asynchronous one regarding the interaction with the instructor and the concentration level of the class. Related to instructor factors, the teaching provided was of a slightly higher level than the students’, and the degree of closeness with learners was relatively low. Furthermore, regarding learner factors, participation registered the highest value, while confidence was relatively low compared to motivation, interest, and satisfaction. Therefore, in the future, online lessons for academic purposes should be provided by translating the Learning Management System (LMS). In addition, it will be necessary to devise a self-directed learning plan to improve international students’ confidence, in parallel with improving information quality education. Among them, it is worth considering maximizing the learning effect through active use of the blended learning method, which combines non-simultaneous remote education method and offline classes.

        한국어 교육이 정체성 형성에 미치는 영향 -재미교포 학습자를 대상으로-

        This study aims to demonstrate Erickson’s theory that is an adolescent period form their identities and how Korean-Americans who study the Korean language form their identities. Also, to find a correlation between Korean language learning and identity formed. It assume that the identity perception would differ by degree of interest in Korean-Culture and learning backgrounds, and Korean language proficiency. First, contains definitions of the terminology such as Ex-patriate Koreans, Korean-Americans, identity and Korean language proficiency. The chapter then identifies the causes and the differences of identity perception among Korean-Americans. Additionally, the effect of Korean language proficiency on identity formation is examined. Finally, it is asserted that effective identity education is necessary in the Korean language education of Korean-Americans. (Yonsei University Graduate School)

        Novel yakuchinone derivatives have designed, synthesized and evaluated their inhibitory activity of NO production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-activated macrophages. From this study, some enone compounds have been found to be highly active in the assay. In view of the importance of NO in septic shock and inflammation, these compounds may be useful candidates for the development of new drug to treat endotoxemia and inflammation accmpanying overproduction of NO.

        비원어민 예비 한국어 교사의 교안 분석 연구

        This study aims to analyze lesson plans prepared by prospective non-native Korean language teachers, examine the characteristics of non-native Korean language teachers as a group, and recommend efficient measures for Korean language education practicum. While the interest of researchers in Korean language teachers has increased, they have focused mainly on native teachers. Although research on non-native Korean language teachers has increased recently, previous studies have not examined lesson plans prepared by prospective non-native teachers. Thus, this study analyzed the composition and content of 30 grammar lesson plans prepared by foreign students undergoing Korean language education training at universities in Seoul. The results showed a lack of diversity in types of exercise and task activities from a compositional perspective. Furthermore, the content quality was often attributable to their language proficiency. Based on this, measures were proposed to enhance the educational effectiveness of Korean language education courses for prospective non-native Korean language teachers.         ‘우리집 문제’ 시리즈 작품을 통한 북한 가족 영화 연구 : 우리 큰집 문제, 우리 사돈집 문제 중심으로

        본 연구는 북한에서의 예술의 의미와 예술 영화에 대해 사전적으로, 이론적으로 살펴보고 북한 예술 영화 중 하나로 1970년대부터 등장한 가족 영화에 대한 대상의 변화와 제작 의도를 정치적 맥락과 연관 지어 살펴보았다. 북한 가족 영화 중에서 <우리 큰집 문제>, <우리 사돈집 문제>의 영화를 연구 대상으로 삼아, 1973년에 김정일이 서술한 『영화예술론』에 속하는 각 장에서 핵심적인 내용인 연출, 촬영 기술, 음악, 장면 등을 기준으로 분석하여 북한 가족 영화에 숨어 있는 북한 사회의 모순과 문제를 찾아보았다. 또한 북한 사회 문제를 크게 대학 진학, 직장 배정, 근무 지역으로 나눠 분석하여 북한 주민이 살아가는 삶의 모습과 사회 구조로 인하여 생긴 사회적 모순과 문제가 만연했음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 당시 남한 사회에서도 공통적으로 나타난 사회적 문제였기 때문에 이러한 남북한 사회의 모순과 문제를 영화에 비추어 남북한의 이 질감을 극복할 수 있는 공통점을 찾아서 이러한 공통점을 함께 맞춰 가는 방법들을 모색하는 연구를 지속해 나갈 것이다. This study examined the meaning of art and an art film in North Korea both in advance and theoretically, and the change of the object and the intention to produce a family film that appeared from the 1970s in relation to the political context. Among North Korean family movies, the films of <My House of the Eldest Son of a Family Problem> and <Parents of My Son/Daughter-in-law Family Problem> were selected for research. In 1973, each chapter belonging to 『Theory of Movie Art』described by Kim Jong-il was analyzed based on the main contents such as directing, shooting technique, music, and scene and the I looked for the contradictions and problems of North Korean society hidden in the North Korean family films. In addition, the social contradictions and problems arising from the appearance and social structure of North Koreans’ lives were widespread by analyzing and analyzing North Korean social issues into college admissions, job assignments, and working areas. This was a common social problem in South Korean society at the time, so by looking at these contradictions and problems between South Korean and North Korean society in the film, finding a common point that can overcome the heterogeneity between South and North Korea, and then finding ways to align these common points together research will continue.

        인삼사포닌에 의한 대식세포 일산화질소 생성 유도

        Ginseng root is an important remedy in oriental countries, which has been used for thousands of years. Saponins of ginseng root has been known to be the major component which mediate diverse pharmacological actions of the ginseng. Heat processing of ginseng root potentiates its biological activity such as anti-tumor and anti- oxidative activities. The butanol fraction of heat-processed ginseng (HGB) induced the production of nitric oxide in macrophages in a dose-dependent manner with IFN-γ (30 U/ml) priming. The active component was identified as ginsenoside-Rg5 from the activity-guided purification. Ginsenoside Rg5 is one of major components of heat-processed ginseng and red ginseng that is responsible for the potentiated biological activities of processed ginseng. The induction of NO production by heat-processed ginseng might contribute to the potentiated biological activity of heat-processed ginseng.

        Nitric Oxide (NO), derived from L-arginine, is produced by two types (constitutive and inducible) of nitric oxide synthase (NOS: cNOS and iNOS). The NO produced in large amounts by the iNOS is known to be responsible for the vasodilation and hypotension observed in septic shock and inflammation. The inhibitors of iNOS, thus, may be useful candidate for the treatment of inflammatory diseases accompanied by the overproduction of NO. We prepared alcoholic extracts of herbal drugs which have been used for the treatment of inflammation in oriental medicine. We have screened the inhibitory activity of NO production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-activated macrophages after the treatment of these extracts. Among the 81 kinds of extracts of herbal drugs, 34 extracts showed potent inhibitory activity of NO production above 50% at the concentration of 50 (μg/ml. The inhibitory activities of NO production were also evaluated for several solvent fractions at three different concentrations. Especially, hexane soluble fractions of Agrimonia pilosa, Hydrangea serrata, Machilus thunbergii, Prunella vulgaris, Saussurea lappa, Tussilago farfara, and ethyl acetate soluble fractions of Angelica gigas, Ostericum koreanum, Torilis japonica, Perilla frutescence showed moderate activity at 10 and/ or 25 (μg/ml. These fractions are promising candidates for the study of the activity-guided chromatographic purification of active compounds.
