        Information Credibility between Social Media Site and Review Site: Which One Do I Trust More?

        This study aims to examine how the relationship with an information source affects people to perceive credibility of online information. We developed a conceptual framework that explained how people perceived information credibility when they were familiar with the information source and/or when the information source seemed credible. We then compared the models in two different contexts, namely, online review and social media sites, to examine differences. We surveyed 136 online social media users with their online shopping experiences. Among our eight hypotheses, three (H6: the personality similarity between an information provider and an information seeker enhances the perceived credibility of the former; H7: the credibility of an information provider produces a much stronger mediating effect in review sites than in social media sites; H8: the familiarity of an information seeker with an information provider produces a stronger mediating effect in social media sites than in review sites) are fully supported and four (H1: the credibility of an information provider has a positive influence on the perceived credibility of the online information; H2: the familiarity of an information seeker with an information provider has a positive influence on the perceived credibility of the online information; H3: the goal similarity between an information provider and an information seeker enhances the perceived familiarity of the latter with the former; H5: the personality similarity between an information provider and an information seeker enhances the perceived familiarity of the latter with the former) are partially supported. The hypothesis of H4: the goal similarity between an information provider and an information seeker enhances the perceived credibility of the former is rejected. The result confirms that credibility of information is strongly mediated by credibility of information source than familiarity with information source in online review sites and vice versa in social media sites.

        Information Systems for Organizational Agility: Action Research on Resource Scheduling at the Universidad de Chile

        Organizations need to exhibit characteristics of agility to stay ahead of their competitors and to survive in dynamic environments. One major concern for organizations is how to implement Information Systems (ISs) to enhance their agility. Organizations tend to spend too many resources to change their entire IS instead of only the components that cause problems without exactly knowing whether it enables or suppress organizational agility. To address these shortcomings and practical issues, we provide a framework to assess organizational agility and to diagnose a problem related to IS. By applying this prototype of the Agility Framework, we were able to diagnose a problem that the department of Management Control and Information Systems at the Universidad de Chile had and planned actions for them to improve its organizational agility with a course scheduling system, eClasSkeduler. This action research, which took more than 25-month for the first cycle, further develops the Agility Framework, which not only provides a way to link IS with organizational functions but also illustrates how to use it to diagnose a situation and plan actions for improving organizational agility through an information system.

        Relationship between Self-discrepancy and Subjective Well-being

        People can differently act online than in real-life. Their virtual identities may allow them to express themselves more freely. In this perspective, there is a self-discrepancy between virtual- and real-life. Due to the anonymity, people can feel free to express who actually they are online without considering social pressure. Especially, for those people who live in a repressed society, virtual-selves can play a significant role to achieve their well-being. For this reason, a self-discrepancy between actual- and virtual-self related to well-being was studied. With 183 survey responses, political freedom, extraversion and neuroticism are identified as significant influencers of subjective well-being (SWB). In addition, an increase in self-discrepancy between virtual- and real-life for ‘unhappy’ people leads to an increased online well-being, which is contradictory to Higgins’ self-discrepancy theory.

        인터넷 사용자 수가 급증하면서, SNS(Social Network Sites)이나 게임 이용은 성별과 연령대에 크게 좌우되지 않는 대중적인 성격을 띠게 되었다. 인터넷의 폭넓은 보급과 사용은 사회에 도움이 되어온 반면, 이와 함께 과도한 인터넷 사용을 통제하지 못하는 인터넷 중독과 같은 부작용 현상도 나타나고 있어 이에 따른 사회적 비용 또한 우려할 만한 수준이다. 인터넷 중독, SNS 중독 그리고 게임 중독은 중독자 개인들의 일상 생활 속에서 매우 큰 위치를 차지하고 부정적인 영향을 주고 있으며, 심각한 사회 문제까지도 야기할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 중독의 원인을 설명할 수 있는 문제행동이론을 도입하여, 인터넷, SNS 그리고 게임에 대한 접촉이 상대적으로 높은 연령대인 20대 대학생들을 주 대상으로 하여 개인적 특성인 자존감과 인지적 가정환경이 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향을 보고, 이들 요인들이 SNS 중독과 게임 중독에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 또한 SNS 중독과 게임 중독 사이의 관계를 규명하고자 한다.

        Asthma Severity and the Controller Prescription in Children at 12 Tertiary Hospitals

        Purpose: Guidelines need to be tailored to where they are applied. We aimed to describe the distinctive asthma severity profile and the pattern of controller prescription in Korean children. Methods: Twelve pediatric allergists from tertiary medical centers reviewed medical records of all asthmatic children who visited their clinics between September 1 and November 30 of 2013. Controller prescriptions were re-classified into 4 categories, then the prevalence of each asthma severity category and the controller prescription patterns according to asthma severity assessed by a Western (Global Initiative for Asthma, GINA) and an Asia-Pacific (Japanese Pediatric GuideLine, JPGL) guideline were evaluated. Results: A total of 840 cases were reviewed. Both GINA and JPGL revealed that 328 (39.0%) and 249 (29.6%) subjects had intermittent asthma whereas 24 (2.9%) and 21 (2.5%) subjects had severe persistent asthma, respectively. Although higher category controllers tended to be prescribed to those who had more severe asthma, there was much overlap in categories of prescribed controllers between groups with regard to asthma severities. Leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRA) was the most frequently prescribed as a single controller (40%) or as an add-on medication (19%) in the group of asthmatic children <6 years. Conclusions: Korean children have distinctive patterns of asthma severity and management strategies with a lower prevalence of severe asthma and a preference toward LTRA rather than low dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) alone or add-on long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) in the group of <6 year-old asthmatics that has not been predicted in Western countries. Thus, strategies tailored to regional situations need to be developed and recommended.

        예비유아교사의 교직선택 동기와 교직적성·인성, 전공만족의 구조적 관계 분석

        본 연구의 주된 목적은 예비유아교사의 교직선택 동기(능동적 동기, 물질적 동기, 수동적 동기)와 교직적성·인성, 전공만족의 구조적 관계를 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 경기도 소재의 4년제 유아교육과 학생 203명을 대상으로 2018년 10월부터 2019년 4월까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 21과 AMOS 24 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계와 상관관계, 구조방정식 모형을 적용한 경로분석을 하였다. 연구결과, 예비유아교사의 교직선택 동기 중에는 능동적 동기 수준이 가장 높았으며 교직적성·인성의 하위 요인 중에서는 교직관이 가장 높았다. 또한 전공만족의 하위 요인 중에는 인식만족이 가장 높게 나타났다. 교직선택 동기 중 능동적 동기와 물질적 동기는 상관이 있었으나 능동적 동기와 수동적 동기는 부적 상관을 나타내었다. 능동적 동기만이 교직적성·인성과 전공만족에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 교직적성과 인성을 매개로 전공만족에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 교원양성기관에서 예비유아교사의 능동적 동기를 강화하는 것이 교직적성·인성과 전공만족도를 높이는데 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 함의하고 있다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between preservice early childhood teacher’s motivations for choosing teaching profession, aptitude and character for teaching profession, and major satisfaction. The results of this study, of motivations for choosing teaching profession of preservice early childhood teachers, the active motivation showed the highest level, and among the sub‐factors of aptitude and character for teaching profession, the view of teaching profession was found to be the highest, while the psychological stability was low. Also, among the sub‐factors of major satisfaction, the recognition satisfaction was the highest. Of motivations for choosing teaching profession, the active motivation and material motivation were correlated, but the active and passive motivations showed a negative correlation. Among the sub‐factors of motivations for choosing teaching profession, only the active motivation was found to have a significant effect on aptitude and character for teaching profession and major satisfaction, and the aptitude and character for teaching profession were found to have a significant effect on major satisfaction. These results suggest that reinforcing the active motivation of preservice early childhood teachers in teacher training institutions positively affects aptitude and character for teaching profession and major satisfaction. In addition, the high level of aptitude and character for teaching profession of preservice early childhood teachers can be a predictor that he/she is qualified for going to be a good teacher.

        예비유아교사의 교사효능감, 사회적 기술, 메타인지, 학습몰입의 구조적 관계 분석

        This study aimed to verify the structural relationship between teaching efficacy, social skills, metacognition, and learning flow among pre-service early childhood teachers. This study surveyed 192 early childhood education students at a four-year University in Kyung-Gi Do. Data were analyzed using a structural equation model via SPSS 24 and AMOS 24. The findings of this study were as follows. First, the average levels of teacher efficacy (3.61), social skills (4.01), metacognition (3.86), and learning flow (3.37) of pre-service early childhood teachers were higher than the average value of 3.00 on a 5-point scale. Second, there were positive relationships among teaching efficacy, social skills, metacognition, and learning flow of pre-service early childhood teachers. When the path through which social skills, teacher efficacy, and metacognition affect learning flow was examined, it was found that social skills affect metacognition and learning flow, and that metacognition affects learning flow. However, the effects of teacher efficacy on metacognition and learning flow were not statistically significant. These results suggested that it is necessary to identify teaching methods that increase the learning flow of pre-service early childhood teachers by identifying the important factors that affect it.

      • 플랫폼에 다크호스, 클럽하우스: 클럽하우스를 사용하는 요인분석

        초고속인터넷과 스마트기기가 사용되는 곳에서 소셜 미디어를 이용하는 것은 일상이 되었다. 2000년대 이후 많은 소셜네트워크 사이트들이 생겨나면서 소셜미디어 플랫폼이 크게 성장했다. 페이스북, 유튜브, 트위터 등의 대표적인 장수 플랫폼을 필두로 수많은 플랫폼이 명멸하는 가운데 클럽하우스가 등장하여 주목을 끌고 있다. 본 연구는 클럽하우스의 이용 동기가 어떤 요인으로 구성되어 있는지 살펴보고 이용동기와 만족도 간의 영향을 확인하고자 한다. 또한, 그 요인들은 동시에 기존에 많이 사용되는 페이스북, 유튜브, 틱톡 등의 소셜미디어 플랫폼에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 설문을 통해 공통적 요인과 차별적 요인을 비교 분석하려 한다. 이를 검증하기 위해 소셜미디어를 사용하는 사람을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시할 예정이다.
