Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Korean medicine for a thoracolumbar compression fracture. Methods: We searched six Korean databases (DBPIA, Korean Studies Information Service Sys- tem, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, National Digital Science Li- brary, Research Information Sharing Service, KoreaMed) (up to June 2015) and the Journal of Korean Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society. Unpublished studies were also searched. Clin- ical research, other than case reports involving less than 10 patients, were eligible. The ef- fectiveness and safety of Korean Medicine was analyzed. The 'Risk of Bias' was assessed using the 'Risk of Bias' assessment tool for non-randomized studies as well as the Cochrane Collaboration's 'Risk of Bias' tool. Results : We found 12 before-after studies (374 patients). There was no randomized trial. All studies combined at least three different types of Korean medicine treatments. The period of treatment varied between less a week and 154 days. All the included studies reported im- provements in pain, functional disability related to lower back pain, global assessment, and benefits in the compression ratio of a fractured vertebrae and skin temperature measured by digital infrared thermal imaging in comparison with the baseline. However, all studies had a high risk of bias and three studies reported mild adverse events. Conclusions : There is no randomized trial for the role of Korean medicine for patients with a thoracolumbar compression fracture. The effectiveness and safety of Korean medicine for this population remains unclear. Findings in this review are seriously biased due to observational design and a high risk of bias included in the studies. Future high-quality randomized trials are warranted.

항공용 NVIS 조명패널 성능 검증

항공용 NVIS(Night Vision Imaging System) 조명패널은 조종석 패널 조립체에 장착되어 야간 전투작전 시 적외선 에너지 방출을 최소화하여 적으로부터 노출을 최소화하고, 조종사가 착용한 NVG와 호환되는 빛을 방출하여 조종사의 패널 조립체 조작을 용이하게 한다. 항공용 NVIS 조명 패널은 MIL-DTL-7788(SAE-AS7788) 규격에 따라 제작 및 검증이 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 KUH(한국형기동헬기), FA-50(경공격기) 개발 시 제작 된 NVIS 조명패널의 성능 검증 방법에 대해 소개하고자 한다. The NVIS(Night Vision Imaging System) lighting panel for aircraft is mounted in the cockpit panel assembly and minimizes the infrared energy emission in the battle at night plan and it minimizes the exposure from the occasion. It emits the light which is compatible with NVG which the pilot puts and is the pilot"s panel assembly control easy. As to the NVIS lighting panel for aircraft, according to the MIL-DTL-7788(SAE-AS7788) standard, the manufacture and verification is made. In this paper, it tries to introduce about the method for verification performance of NVIS lighting panel manufactured in KUH(Korea Utility helicopter) and FA-50 (light combat) development.

사회복지시설종사자의 긍정심리자본이 행복감에 미치는 영향: 여가활동과 직무만족의 이중매개효과를 중심으로

The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of leisure activity and job satisfaction in the relation between positive psychological capital and happiness of employees of the social welfare institution. Participants were 289 persons who work in social welfare institutions in Chungnam and Daejeon province. Data analysis was conducted through dual mediating effect using SPSS Macro Process v. 2.16. The major results were as follows: First, partial mediation effects of leisure activity and job satisfaction in the relation between positive psychological capital and happiness were found to be statistically significant. Second, the simple mediation effects of job satisfaction and the dual mediation effect of leisure activity and job satisfaction were statistically significant. This study is meaningful in that it reveals evidential information regarding practical intervention in promoting happiness and job satisfaction of the employees of social welfare institutions. Based on these findings, in order to increase the happiness of employees of social welfare institutions, it is necessary to practice various interventions that can directly raise positive psychological capita;. In addition, it is necessary to promote organizational management measures to improve leisure activities and job satisfaction in social welfare institutions. 본 연구는 긍정심리자본이 행복감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 여가활동과 직무만족의 이중매개효과 검증을 목적으로 한다 충남지역과 대전광역시 소재 사회복지시설에서 종사하는 사회복지종사자 289명이 조사에 참여하였으며 SPSS Macro Process v.2.16을 통해 이중매개효과를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다 첫째 긍정심리자본이 행복감에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있을 뿐만 아니라 이러한 영향관계에서 여가활동과 직무만족은 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다 둘째 긍정심리자본이 행복감에미치는 영향관계에서 여가활동과 직무만족은 이중매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다 즉 사회복지종사자들의 행복감은 그들이 수행하는 직무에 대한 만족을 통해서 향상 될 수 있음을 의미하며 또한직무에 대한 만족은 다양한 여가활동을 통해서도 높아질 수 있음을 시사한다 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 사회복지시설 종사자의 행복감을 높이기 위해서는 직접적으로 긍정심리자본을 향상시킬 수있는 개입방안을 모색해야 하며 사회복지조직내에서 여가활동과 직무만족의 중요성을 인식하여 여가활동과 직무만족을 향상시키기 위한 다양한 정책적 실천적 조직관리 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다

The purpose of this study is to clarify the process and to describe the practice of making the roof curve of traditional architecture. It was examined how the roof curve is made up and how different conditions affect it through investigating works of Dae-mok(Korean traditional architecture carpenter). The shape of the roof curve is fixed by curves and lengths of hip lifters and flat lifters. Daemoks are making the roof curve depended on their experience knowledge.

디자인 요소를 적용한 옥상 녹화 사례 분석

본 연구에서는 국내 및 국외의 옥상 녹화 사례에서 디자인의 요소와 원리를 비교?분석하여 옥상 녹화 시공 시 디자인 요소 및 원리를 활용하고자 하였다. 국내 및 국외의 옥상 녹화 적용 사례를 통해 디자인의 요소와 원리를 비교?분석해 본 결과, 국내의 사례는 전반적으로 비슷한 유형의 조형적 패턴을 보였으며, 비교적 획일화 되어 있고 단순하였다. 국외의 사례에서는 점, 선, 면, 형태, 질감, 통일, 변화, 강조, 반복 이외에도 대칭, 균형, 조화 등의 디자인의 요소와 원리가 다양하게 표현되었음을 볼 수 있었다. 위와 같이 옥상 녹화 대상지의 설계 요소는 디자인적인 요소와 원리를 활용하여 다양하게 표현되고 있음을 보여 주었는데, 그 다양성 안에서 다음과 같은 방법과 기준을 이용하여 디자인한 것을 알 수 있었다. - 옥상 녹화 대상지의 포장 패턴으로 선과 면 그리고 질감을 표현함. - 옥상 녹화 대상지의 식재는 점적인 요소인 동시에 반복과 변화를 표현함. - 옥상 녹화 대상지의 시설물은 점에서 선을 이루면서 반복과 통일의 원리를 적용함. - 옥상 녹화 대상지의 물요소는 면적이며 형태로서 공간에 변화를 주어 강조함. 위와 같은 4가지 방법을 이용한 결과, 옥상 녹화 대상지와 디자인의 요소 및 원리가 조 화를 이룬 것을 알 수 있었다. 다양한 형태의 국외 사례에 비해 국내 사례는 유사하고 단 편적인 패턴의 반복이라는 한계점 또한 발견할 수 있었다.

척추 압박 골절 환자의 회복에 대한 침 치료의 유효성 및 안전성 평가: 체계적 문헌 고찰과 메타분석

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture treatment for recovery of patients with vertebral compression fracture(VCF). Methods : We searched ten English and Chinese and seven Korean database up to April 2018. Randomised controlled trials(RCTs), quasi-RCTs, non-radomised Controlled Trials(CCTs) were eligible. Quasi-RCTs and CCTs were assessed only for safety assessment. Pain and adverse events were primary outcome of this review. Quality of life, dysfunction, patient satisfaction, incidence of new vertebral compression fracture were regarded as secondary outcomes. The risk of bias was assessed by two independent authors using the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Level of evidence was tabulated using the GRADE methods. Results : Of 1656 screened, 15 RCTs, 1 quasi-RCT and 3 CCTs were included. Number of participants per study ranged from 45 to 135. Most of the studies had unclear or high risk of bias and considerable heterogeneity in terms of type of intervention, comparison and time-points for outcome measurement. Compared to usual care alone, acupuncture combined with usual care showed short-term favorable results for pain relief in patients with VCF(5 studies, n=252, MD −1.05 point on a 0 to 10 point scale, 95% CI −1.45 to −0.65, I2=74%). Four studies reported mild and temporary adverse events, and no serious adverse events were reported. One study descriptively reported that acupuncture was effective for improving quality of life without providing numerical outcomes. There were no reports of patient satisfaction and incidence of new VCF. Conclusions : Level of evidence is very low for the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for pain, harms and other clinical outcomes in patients with VCF. Included studies suffered from incomplete reporting, high or unclear risk of bias and substantial heterogeneity between studies. Future high-quality RCTs are needed to assess whether acupuncture is beneficial for recovery of patients with VCF.

Effectiveness and Safety of Korean Medicine for Trigeminal Neuralgia: A Case Report

Objectives : This study aims to report the effectiveness and safety of Korean medicine with thread embedding acupuncture in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia (TN). Methods : A 73-year-old man who had suffered from severe facial pain for one year and who had had a healthy tooth extracted due to the pain is reported. He could not eat or sleep due to the severe pain. Acupuncture, thread embedding acupuncture, cupping, herbal steam, and herbal medicines were used for the treatment. Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and adverse events were checked daily, and other outcomes (Baseline Evaluation, Visual Analogue Scale [VAS], Short Form Health Survey 36-Bodily Pain [SF-36 BP], and Patient Global Assessment [PGA]) were measured at hospital admission and discharge. During the follow-up examinations, his pain was evaluated roughly, without using any formal measurements, on the basis of a global assessment. Results : All measured parameters, including pain, quality of life, and patient satisfaction were noted to have improved at the time of discharge compared to admission: VAS from 10 to 1.5, NRS from 7–8 to 1–2, and SF-36 BP from 0 to 22.5, and the patient’s global assessment was somewhat improved. He did not take any analgesics after discharge and noted only mild adverse events, like pain where the acupuncture and thread embedding acupuncture needles were inserted. His pain relief was maintained for 6 months. Conclusion : Korean medicine with thread embedding acupuncture might be a safe and effective treatment for TN. In the future, larger sample sizes and high quality randomized clinical trials are warranted to confirm its efficacy and safety.
