        Technology education has been a topic of discussion for a number of years. However, few articles have been written or research projects completed in area of "How to Teach Technology Education." This research was conducted to develop 'technology education instructional designs model (TEID model)'. This concept model includes the interrelationships between 'approaches to teaching technology education' and 'delivery systems for teaching technology education'. In this research the concepts of instructional strategies for teaching technology education and their relationship to technology education contents were introduced. The model can be useful to design technology educational strategies, and also to find effective ways of achieving learning goals by applying appropriate teaching methods in various learning content and conditions.

        Effects of Project-based Teaching in the Pre-service Technology Teacher Classes

        프로젝트법은 기술교과를 효과적으로 가르칠 수 있는 교수방법으로 추천되고 있으나, 기술교육 현장에서의 적용은 아직도 미흡한 상태이다. 이 연구는 대학의 기술교사교육과정에서 프로젝트 방법에 의한 강의진행이 수강학생들에게 프로젝트법을 기술교육현장에 적용시키려는 태도와 능력을 길러줄 수 있는 가의 문제를 구명한 것이다. 이 연구의 표본은 대학에서 주 전공과 부전공으로 기술을 공부하는 학생들로, 프로젝트법에 의한 수업을 진행하고, 그 효과를 검증하였다. 이 연구는 사후검사비교설계(casual comparative post-test design)의 방법에 따랐다.이 연구의 결과, 프로젝트에 의한 강의진행은 수강학생에게 프로젝트법에 대한 이해와 흥미를 높여주었으며, 추후 기술교육에서 프로젝트 수업을 적용하겠다는 의지를 보였다. 또한 프로젝트 과제의 기술적 창조성의 정도가 높게 나타나 기술적 창조성 증진에서도 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 현상은 주 전공과 부전공 학생들 모두에게 차이가 없이 나타났다.

        체계적 기술교과교수설계(STEID)모형' 개발과 적용방안

        The purpose of this research was to see how the technology education could be offered based upon the study of technology. This is the time to seek new paradigm in the information age in technology education. And further more the technology education has been criticized that it is not offered properly, even though the subject has been offered from 1969 for secondary school as a compulsory subject. This research was conducted to seek the way of offering technology education based on the it's basic knowledge. This research was conducted by empirical and theoretical ways. The concepts of knowledge of 'Technologies' and the instructional strategies for teaching technology education based on this technological knowledge were introduced. The results of this research can be offered a useful material to redesign technology educational in informational age. And also to find effective ways of enhancing the specialty of technology education.

        기술 교과에서 기술적 창조성 교육 방안에 관한 선행 연구 분석

        If technology teacher wants to teach student technological creativity in the classroom, he wanders how to, and what it mean. In spite of the value of teaching technological creativity, the cognitive process of technological creativity in technology class are not defined clearly yet. In going to approach to teach technological creativity, one must consider both the thinking that is involved and what constitutes creativity itself. The purpose of the study was to analyze the trends of technological creativity researches. The research questions are (1)'how many researches were conducted in the area of educating technological creativity, and (2)what content areas were studied and what were the valuable researches findings for improving student's technological creativity in the classroom. In this research, the researches trends of teaching technological creativity were reviewed based on previous researches. The findings of this research could be useful resources to improve technology education and could give basic data for future researches. 21세기에 들면서 기술교육에서는 어떻게 하면 학생의 기술적 창조성을 함양할 수 있는가의 문제가 가장 중요한 연구 주제가 되었다. 이러한 문제 인식에서 이 연구는 기술적 창조성에 관한 선행 연구의 사례를 분석하여 이에 대한 시사점을 얻으려고 수행되었다. 이 연구는 선행 연구 분석 방법으로 수행되었다. 분석 대상 선행연구는 기술적 창조성의 의미와 그에 관한 교육 방안에 관하여 국내 및 국외에서 10년 동안에 발표된 기술교육 관련 학술지였다. 국내 학술지로는 한국기술교육학회지를, 그리고 외국 학술지로는 Journal of technology education(JTE), Journal of technology education research(JTER), International Journal of Technology and Design Education(IJTDE), Journal of Industrial Teacher Education(JITE)를 선정하였다. 이 연구는 이들 학술지에서 최근 10년 동안 발표된 기술적 창조성 관련 연구를 대상으로 학문적 연구와 실천 사례 등의 경향을 조사하였다. 이를 기초로 우리 기술교육에서 창조성 함양교육을 위하여 어떻게 하여야 할 것인가에 관한 연구와 실천 방안을 마련하는 기초자료를 제공하려 한다.

      • 정보화 사회와 기술교과 교육: 교과의 목표와 기능의 중요도에 관한 논의

        This research was to find out the objectives and function of technology education in information age. The specific objectives of the research were threefold; (1)to find out the expected objectives and functions of technology education based on the literature review, (2)to assess the ideal degree of emphasis of technology education objectives and functions perceived by teachers, principals, Administrators, and related specialists, and (3)to recommend future direction of research on the basis of this research findings.The methods of this research were literature review and questionnaire survey. The survey was conducted by the technology teachers, principals, Administrators, and related specialists. The samples were selected by stratified random sampling method. After data screening, data were analyzed by frequency means and rank order.The main findings of this research were as follows:(1) The theological objectives and function of technology education were identified based on the literature review.(2) The 8 out of 10 identified objectives got overall mean rating above 2.0 points; means a medium degree of emphasis. And the rank of emphasis in technology education objectives was calculated.(3) The 6 technology education functions were accepted by respondents. And the rank of emphasis in technology education functions was calculated.(4) Considerable disagreement among teachers, principals, Administrators. and related specialists was evident on the perception of the objectives and functions of technology education.The several point of future direction of research in depth were recommended on the basis of this research.

      • 기술교육의 효율적인 교수방법 탐색을 위한 이론적 접근

        This research was conducted to find the effective ways of teaching technology. In this research, the effective teaching methods could be suitable to the different goals and contents of technology education were tested in logical way, and analyzed in various learning conditions also. The study areas are as follows; ① surveying various teaching objectives which affect teaching methods, ② investigating teaching methods suitable to each learning conditions; for example, objectives, contents and teaching places in technology education, ③ reviewing effectiveness and suitability the teaching methods compare to teaching technology education in detail. The method of this research was theoretical and logical ways. The five instructional patterns applied to teaching technology in this research were formal presentations, group interactions, discovery, inquiry and experimentation and games and simulations. These five instructional patterns and teaching methods were suitable to contents, objectives and teaching places in technology education. And effectiveness and suitabilities of the five instructional patterns and teaching methods for teaching technology were reviewed in logical and empirical ways.

      • 충남대학교 공업기술 계열 교사 연수 프로그램에 대한 만족도 분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the educated teachers' satisfaction of the in-service education programs of industrial technical and technology teachers in Chungnam National University. This study was carried out through survey to accomplish the purpose. The number of questionnaires collected was 86. This study used the SPSS program to conduct a descriptive analysis of the data. The results of this study were as follows: (1) The satisfaction about 'teachers' participation', 'utilization of audiovisual materials and instruments' and 'level of professor and lecture' was relatively high. (2) The satisfaction about 'environments of in-service education programs', 'evaluation of achievement', and 'efficacy of lectures' was relatively low.
